Afternoon all,

Just got back from the Bristol City game and thought I'd give an update on Ryan Kent.

Bristol City struggled to get anything going and barely got the ball wide so Kent didn't have loads to do. However, whenever he did touch the ball, it didn't go well. To put it nicely, he had a shocker. He was ironically cheered off by the majority of the stadium when he was subbed off around the hour mark.

Watched Bristol City a fair few times this season and he had yet to truely impress in a team that tries to play football in a similar way that we do (big team press, high energy, quick attacking football) .

Sorry for the negative post, thought I would do my bit and pass along what I saw.

Roll on Wednesday!

cheers Yardie, I thought that he would fit in at Bristol City, and he impressed me during the pre season .

I agree to both things HTBAR. Thought it would be a good fit for both clubs. Maybe he needs another loan deal and see how it goes after that.

Hi Eds and Reds,

Long time lurker, first time poster.

I was at the Bristol City vs Sunderland game yesterday which ended up being a bit of a mad one! (Bristol City 3-0 up and eventually drawing 3-3).

2 young reds out on loan, 1 at each team, just thought I'd give you my views on them both from the game yesterday.

Ryan Kent - Good game for Kent I thought. Direct, fast, drives from out wide caused Sunderland a lot of problems, especially in the first half. One thing I noticed was that a lot of his drives tended to be to the inside of the pitch and ended with him feeding the winger on the other side (which he did do well) . Should have scored in the second half, missing a great chance. Bristol City fans I went to the game with seem to like him but bemoan his inconsistency.

Ovie Ejaria - Had a difficult game. Played in the centre of midfield alongside Lee Cattermole. First have offered nothing but a few nice touches and passes but this was playing in a team that was getting beaten 3-0. Second half they obviously went for it with nothing to lose and Ejaria got forward a bit more, following his pass and playing one twos more. Much better game in the second half and came off after helped Sunderland bring it back to 3-2.

Apologies for the long first post! Cheers!

Thanks for the update, I'm very interested in our boys in the championship. Out of interest, which team were you there to support?

DaRedMan - I live in Bristol so was there with Bristol City fans supoorting them. I've watched Bristol City a fair fee times this season and they have been fantastic at times. Good club for Kent I think.
