They played well completely outdone us tactically in both games but they’re 32 points off the pace in the league they’re as big standard a side as you could hope to face and we made them look good.

I have no faith, and have little expectation we can beat anyone in the prem 1-0.
This isn't a top team, they'd get minced by the top 6 (bar us) .

with that performance we'd struggle in the championship.

Never seen a team play such turgid slow messy ugly football. Tony Pulis’ stoke teams were easier on the eye than us. Aimless hoofs up to forwards who are being dominated by the defenders. Klopp leaving is a blessing in disguise and I think we should be looking to move a LOT of these players on with him.

I can imagine Klopp before Barcelona. The passion to attack. Get after them. Get it up quickly. Create as much chaos as possible.

Today, I say its get the clean sheet. Keep it controlled. Very important not to concede or tie is over. Let's take the chances that come our way.

I'd prefer to lose 3-0 again and go all out than watch this slow, back passing borefest. If this is how we are going to play, roll on the end of the season.

I really don't get it. Atalanta pressed and defended well but we knew that is how they would play. To counter that we should have played quick balls and passed around them, instead we were slow and only passed backwards. If I had to guess I would say Alison had more touches than most players on the pitch.

This is shocking. First 15 mins were excellent, there was a hope based on that start this was going to be a fast and furious attacking game . But no, after we go a goal up back to this tripe . Subjected to more of that Lijders ball rubbish we seem to like to play now. Got what we deserved out of this tie, nothing truly a shame as the coaches don't seem to see what we all can, this is not how you play football.

Simply not going to be good enough. To many passengers again. Aside from the penalty, there have been zero shots that needed saves by the Atalanta goal keeper. There's no threat, all in front of the well organised defence. A quadruple went to a treble that will be a double after tonight. And that's a long way away now. Not sure what's going on with Zob but he's a shadow of the player he was in the first half of the season. Jones looks bang average and Mo looks like he's ready for a new challenge. Sad way to end the season.

If sallah took his chance it would have put them under pressure and they might have buckled but the longer its gone on the more we rush it with panic balls, well organised Italian defence is meat and drink and we just don't have the quality to break teams down.

All sideways and so slow. Only Mac in midfield can pass forward properly. Jones is a poor mans Joe Allen.

{Ed025's Note - you do have some very good players mark but i thought the team selection was a bit weak mate, Jones and Gakpo would be lucky to make the Everton bench imo..

It's live we've never played together before, the forwards are so disjointed, the midfield next to non existent. The defence everywhere.
a month ago i thought we could do well in the CL with our quality. now we'd struggle in the championship.
