I thought Klopp was awful today how on earth Jones stayed on the pitch till the 80th minutes is beyond me. I thought out of three that started up front Diaz was the only one offering anything Quality and Salah offered absolutely nothing but he stayed on till the end. I just don't get how Elliott is not getting a start in that midfield ahead of Jones. From a possible 4 trophies to just the worst one on offer I think Klopp has been awful with his team selection since the fa cup tie.

Totally agree, the Jones and Salah situation is bizarre given how poor they have both been recently.
I think tired legs given all the injuries seen is now playing a part and although some players are coming back, they do not have minutes and form in their legs.
It is a shame, and considering everything it has been a great effort. If we had 115 FFP charges against us I suspect we would still be in the running.

That's realistically the prem gone. Still a possibility of course but realistically given the competition that's game over.
I see a lot more possiblity of coming back in the Europa league. And that's what I'm hoping on now.
Hopefully Gakpo starts. He looks really sharp.

They would need a clean sheet for that to be remotely possible. At the moment that back 4 do not have a clean sheet in em. Not to mention we can’t score goals. Plus you have jones in there. The worst player on the pitch today. I wouldn’t hold much hope.

If jones is the answer in our midfield WTF is the question…he is mid table at best and certainly not in the starting 11 of a title WINNING team! Same goes for Endo, I don’t buy into the hype around Endo, he was atrocious against Atalanta and terrible today!

It's quite simple; the inability to have a settled defence and the sheer fact we don't have a proven goal scorer anymore has been our downfall. We can create all the chances in the world but if no one is good enough to put them away it counts for nothing.

Season ended for us in the space of a week! The players have thrown in the towel after that Utd result and look like there done for the season.
This isint a Klopp bashing post the man is a legend but I do think tactically he comes up too short. We are far too predictable and never really target a teams obvious weaknesses. Take last week for instance up
Against a weak Utd defence and we don’t target any of them, today palace had a stand in defender and no plan to exploit them. It’s same old tactics!
Secondly today was the 21st time we have conceded 1st in the league, that’s 21 times we have had to

Make no mistake this defeat to Palace is down to the players but im convinced this is tactical as well and the managmet team need to take responsibility, as this pathetic slow build up no energy football has cost us 3 trophies. In around 4 weeks of club football out the FA Cup, out the Europe league and now out of the title race is just not good enough. And it is for sure steming from the management team however.
Endo is now looking like the bargain basement midfielder he is, really hasn't been able to keep up the form of earlier in the season and is just a passenger in games now. Need an upgrade in the summer.
Nunez is just not what we need. He cannot finish consistently. Need an upgrade in the summer.
Mo is a legend but he looks half the player he was at the start of the season. He may well choose to leave in the summer, all be it a legend of this club.
Tsimkas is as average a left back as you can get, need an upgrade in the summer.
Gravenburch just doesn't play enough to make an impact but from what I've seen perhaps isn't wjat we need so could be sold in the summer.
It all depends on who the new manager is and what they want but based on this season there's to many who have flattered to decieve .

What a poor week its been I don't think I've ever seen 2 worse displays in front of goal from us, as I post this Jones just misses a clear goal just when I thought it couldn't get any worse than Thursday night and then this throwing away any chance we had of winning the league absolutely shocking again.

Mo not in the game cuz he's looking for the ball, trent links up well with salah and Bradley is no Trent he's cautious and not got the passing ability of Trent, big mistake to start with Jones, Endo poor again. We kinda limped through January with all the injuries, sadly its the timing of the injuries to Trent and Jotta that's made the wheels come off, would not surprise me if we win every game and miss out by a point. Securing champs lge now is the target.

Yes, if salah has been on it its because he's had trent infront of him feeding balls to him, salahs had bradley and gomez as his rb this season, when this team has been on form its because robbo and trent have played and been on form both getting balls in behind to salah and nunez or jotta, if either are out sadly Bradley and Gomez are poor replacements. Salah is our top scorer again but make no mistakes about it had Nunez had the conversion rate of Salah then it might be a different story. I will say this, we by comparison to last season have overachieved, when Salah went off to Afcon i thought we would struggle, we didnt, the injuries to in form jotta and salahs loss of form on top of trents injury has brought too many players beyond their abilities, the team looks burnt out. New beginings new era, Fsg didn't really back Klopp did they, he wanted out before the end of last season so his decision to leave i would say is more to do with he can not rebuild this team if players who want to play for him fsg will not buy, that's called undermining the manager.

If Salah is on it, then it doesn't matter who is behind ( I prefer Bradley at right back anyway ) . if he's on it. he can control the ball better, make great runs n take defenders on . n more importantly he can shot with power n accuracy. sadly lacking for a lot of this season. that's my opinion anyways.

If you see Salah when he was realy on it was when he's paired on the right side with Trent, Mane was left side with Robbo, the style was to stay wide and get behind teams, both sides of the pitch a nightmare for opposition teams, hendo could get across the pitch and link up with either lb or rb or mane or salah if you add bobby and fab in their prime into that they tore teams apart. No Hendo, no Fab, No Bobby, no Mane its a different team, only Salah left Klopp seems to have changed Trents role and his interaction with Salah has changed how Salah can effect the game, Bradley you can love yes he's homegrown but if he's on it? that's incomparrible to what's gone before as Trent is tried and tested and has the medals to prove it.

But mane was at his best 2 year ago like salah. this season trent cuts inside with this stupid inverted rubbish. plus salah has lost a yard of pace . but his overall play is not as good as 2 years ago. he can't go on forever n think he be gone next season. we need a new way, hopefully the new manager can change this.
