Any truth to the rumour that Kai Havertz has been visiting Melwood with the view to join?

Believable2 Unbelievable1

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of any visit and if there has been I have no doubts at all that Bayer Leverkusen would complain to FIFA if Liverpool has made another illegal approach for a player - one who signed a long-term contract in the summer and is not for sale.}

09 Nov 2017 17:04:44
Apparantly Leverkusen allowed the visit to take place.

Agree7 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - That would be truly astonishing given he has only recently signed a new contract and he is not for sale.}

09 Nov 2017 17:44:51
Him signing a new contract could be just be Leverkusen protecting an asset but if you say he's not for sale then fair enough.
Thanks for your opinion.

Agree5 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - I really have no idea what you are talking about. What makes you think Bayer Leverkusen agreed to this - and who accompanied him?}

09 Nov 2017 18:32:22
I'm talking about about a rumour that Kai Havertz visited Melwood with Leverkausens permission. Apologies if that was not clear from my previous posts.
I have no idea who accompanied him.

Agree15 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - who has said Leverkusen gave their permission?

09 Nov 2017 19:14:23
Nothing but sass from Gingerlfc, offt.

I believe it is from an article from Football Whispers written by Sam McGuire Ed002. Here is where he says it.
"Havertz signed a new five-year deal at the BayArena in July but it appears as though this was more to protect his value after the Bundesliga side granted him permission to visit Merseyside"

Agree3 Disagree1

{Ed002's Note - Maybe Liverpool will be letting Ben Woodburn have a look around the Arsenal training centre at London Colney?}

Abit bitter there Ed.

{Ed002's Note - Try not to be a cretin.}

Strange,

Ask if there's any truth.
Get a pretty strong indication that there isn't
Then argue against the answer.

Fair play to ed002 for giving his informed opinion 🤝.

Big prospect but he's at a good club for his early development he should stay for at least 2 more years, that is of course only if no other club would steal him in the iterim in which case you would have to act.

All hearsay anyway.

Ed2 chill man.

How can anyone even believe this rumour. Why would Leverkuson allow a contracted player to visit another side. It makes no sense it would be blatant tapping up.

Load of rubbish, probably from a social media site or a click bait link, ooo it's getting to that time again, silly time, almost January.

Sam Mcguire is reporting it. He's got very good sources and his info is normally spot on.

Again apologies.
I was under the impression that this was a rumours site.

Agree10 Disagree1

{Ed001's Note - you seem to be missing the point, it is not for people to spread crap, it is for the crap to be debunked. If you want to read clickbait trash then this is not the place.}

From what I can find on the web, the fact that Leverkusen allowed the visit to take place is a direct quote from the This is Anfield site, who themselves have put it in quote marks. Not referenced to anyone particular at Leverkusen, so it could've just been a random punter who said that!

No idea how reliable that site is nowadays, but it also suggests that Havertz met with Gerrard, Klopp and Couts, and that we are also courting Goretzka for a summer move on a free.

Why some people have to be so aggressive? I have no idea if true or not but it's being reported on few places and worth asking.

I don't think there's anything wrong in asking personally, asking here shows you respect opinions of those here.

I guess you got your answer though.

I asked a question about a rumour I had heard about from a coupla different sources.
I then went on to explain a bit more, from what I had heard.
Evidently from your attitude you seem to have some sort of problem with that.
I’m not sure that’s the most conducive way to engage with your posters.
Thanks for your time.

Aside from everything else: Coutinho's trying to leave the club and may have taken to feigning injury. Strikes me as unlikely that we'd wheel him out to meet a new recruit.

The way Coutinho's career is ending at LFC reminds me of what happened to Torres.

Morning EDS. I work for outside broadcast companies and saw a lot of Lewis Dunk of Brighton. I was very impressed. Streets ahead of his opposition all season. He's now made a good transition to the Prem. Any interest in a much underrated player?

Believable0 Unbelievable3

{Ed001's Note - nope and not sure he is underrated personally.}

09 Nov 2017 02:21:43
Hello Ed01, what happened to our interest in Mario Goetze?

Believable0 Unbelievable7

{Ed001's Note - he was injured and not playing well for long periods.}

09 Nov 2017 06:01:46
Thats sad, I thought he would be a good Coutinho replacement.

Ed is there any interest in Westham's Reece-Oxford? And if you have seen him play what's your thoughts on him?

Believable0 Unbelievable1

{Ed001's Note - not any more, he has been a bit of a problem since bursting onto the scene. Gone all billy big-time.}

Made his first appearance for Gladbach last weekend.

Reports coming out that West Ham are considering selling their best young players Oxford, Declan Rice Reece Burke, Domingos Quina and Josh Cullen to raise funds for survival.

Seems odd to me, why not sell the underperforming first team players?
