Hearing that Arnaut Danjuma is coming in the summer - looks a fine prospect at 22 with two great feet and pace to burn
- perfect Mane understudy. Got a friend who lives in Brugge and he says he's the best player there for past 10 years - although that may not be saying much😊.

For the past 10 years? So he's been the best player there since he's 12? Doesn't bode well for Belgian football.

I don’t think that’s quite what joe buck meant.

Lot of people talking about who will be bought for next season, but what about the youngsters and loaners?

For me most likely youngster will be one of the full backs as we have so may potentially good ones at the academy.
For me one of Lewis, Arroyo, Juanma, Gallagher, Camacho or even Hoever will be the youngster that I'd like to break into the squad.

Out of the loanees I think (which might not be a popular choice) is Grujic. I just have this sneaky feeling he will take his chance pre season.

Might not be everyone's first choices but let me know who would be choices from a loanee and a youngster.

I really like the look of Paul Glatzel and hope he gets some game time in pre season and let's see what happens.

I'd like to see how Neco Williams or Hoever would do covering right back. Just don't see Klopp prioritising a back up rightfull when there's a lot of talent at the club. Also if a centre back was brought in as competition to VVD and Gomez (de ligt the dream), it would likely be someone who could fill in at rightfull too.

Wilson will rip it up for us next season imo.

Agree2 Disagree3

{Ed025's Note - dont bank on it lerchy..

I think we will cash in on Wilson next window to be honest.

I think Wilson, Ojo, Randall, Chiravella, Kent and possibly Woodburn will all be sold. I can’t see any breaking through. I think the more likely position a youngster will break through in is at full back.

Any reason bout Wilson Ed025?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i have seen quite a bit of him LN and for me he is very lightweight, the prem is a different beast to the championship mate and i think he would find it difficult..

09 Feb 2019 17:02:01
Whys that ed? And i disagree jones i've watched harry since he was a kid down prenton park and his goals have always been sublime. Id like to think he will break through next season.

Agree3 Disagree2

{Ed025's Note - hes very good at free kicks lerchy and if you could bring him on just for them he would be an asset, the rest of his game is mediocre at best though and hes not strong enough for the prem imo mate..

09 Feb 2019 17:32:08
I understand that's always been a concern but the championship is probably as physical as the bpl for me, more tough tackles than showboating for me, also harry has been brilliant, a lot more than free kicks, he's been orchastrating well from deep and were it not for the woodwork he'd have a few more goals.

I think he gets in on the right for me with shaq benched or even cm. Definitely our brightest home grown prospect on loan currently.

Agree4 Disagree1

{Ed001's Note - I would say the Championship is more physical.}

09 Feb 2019 17:38:15
Do you think harry will make it with us tris? I hear klopp rates him very highly.

Sometimes players do need to bulk up and strengthen, just look at Sterling when he first arrived.

{Ed001's Note - sorry just saw lerchy's question so will reply to it here before I forget. I expect Wilson to be given the chance to make it, whether or not he does it up to him.}

It’s hard to integrate too many youngsters in a squad that’s still capable of challenging for top honours, but maybe 2-3 will get a shot and I’d like to see

- Sturridge for Rhian Brewster
- Lallana for Harry Wilson
- Moreno for Adam Lewis.

Thanks ed and agree sg, brewster is very highly rated so should be around once fit, another loan for woodburn and grujic and i think its over for ejaria, kent and ojo though we should get decent money for kent as he's had a very good season.

Love that Lerchy ‘if it weren’t for the woodwork he’d have more goals’! Best line I’ve heard in ages! 😂
If it weren’t but the woodwork there would just be a net on the floor! Lol!

Loved the look of Adam Lewis since I first saw him whip in a cross for the 18s. Beautiful stuff.

Can anyone see Grujic coming back into the squad next season?

I think he may well take his chance and become more of a squad player. If he did I think having both Grujic and Fabinho in the squad would allow Gini a more attacking role.

I can't see Rabiot happening if it did then I'd say Grujic is as good as gone, as although Grujic, Fabinho and Rabiot aren't the same player we couldn't accommodate the three in a squad.

I don't think Gini would be good more attacking. We need more creativity.

Keita was meant to bring that but he's struggling. Lallana shows flashes of magic but is inconsistent and will most likely go before next season. The Ox returning should help so it'll most likely be the Ox and Keita fighting for the attacking role in the midfield 3 when playing 4-3-3.

Gini is good in the role he plays. Grujic might be in with a chance if Lallana and Milner go and he's happy with a bench role.

I don't think we'll bring in Rabiot, not sure. We might just get a couple of young players if Milner, Lallana and Grujic go.

Just my opinion as with Klopp probably trying to give Keita minutes and the Ox returning I doubt we'd spend too big in a midfielder who would take their spot.

Take his chance and be a squad player. can't see himbeing keen tbh.

I think there could be room for Rabiot and Grujic EVENTUALLY, if we could get Rabiot in this summer and loan Grujic to a German side hopefully in europe it could work. By then the likes of Hendo and Gini will be 30 and Grujic will hopefully have established himself more. Just wouldn't give up on him yet there's a player there.

The best thing for Grujic and his career would be to move on, otherwise he runs the risk of becoming the next Markovic and wasting years when he could be playing regular elsewhere. Nothing against him as a player, just don't see him becoming a first team regular.

Agree7 Disagree3

09 Feb 2019 13:04:17
Difference between him and Markovic is Grujic has gone in and being d main man from day one in a team fighting for a european spot whereas Markovic struggled for game time wherever he went. Everyone can't be written off as a Markovic the minute they hit 22.

Grujic should move on for the sake of his career. He is no Markovic, but he isn't going to get in to our side right now.

I think Grujic will be sold in the summer.
