Benteke is in talks to join Everton for £29m by the weekend after the Lukaku to Chelsea goes through.
Palace do not wish to offer over £26m.

The deal to join Palace has all but gone through the player has agreed on personal terms, i believe the fee is £30M rising to £33M with add ons.

Also Lucas has personally spoken to Galatasaray about a move but has asked for a few more days to decide.

I think Palace and Everton are getting him on a timeshare and paying half the fee each. Benteke will play all of Everton home games and Palace away games, so he can stay at his current house.

When they play each other, Christian will play a half each, but has committed to not score at either end (also known as "doing a Mario") .

I'm proud that our club is involved in a unique, one of a kind, special transfer.

Reports that Crystal Paace are in talks with Liverpool with Benteke however Palace only willing to play up to 29 mil while Liverpool are holding out for the 32.5 mil payed for Benteke the previous summer.

If this happens we really need to upgrade that LB spot. It seems as if Hector is the most highly rated player in that position who MAY be available - if he is deemed better than Moreno then we should go for him with the Benteke cash. Getting quality in this position could make all the difference for 2016/ 17.

He can't be any worse can he!

Personally I think we need two LBs. We don't want to have to fall back on Moreno due to injuries!

I think the LB which may be available are very limited in quality, I honestly struggle to think of a good LB who would be open to a move.
Hector is the closest decent LB I can think of.

If there was indeed an initial bid of 25 million rejected and they had agreed personal terms with him then I say sell him and invest that money on a LB
