Keanon"hi edoo2 thanks for answering my question of lucas barrios but wot do you think the chances is that we could sign Adam johnson from man city and do u think he would fit in by liverpool? {Ed022's Note - This has been covered a ridiculous amount. Try the search function mate.}

Just to cover what's already been mentioned. Cracking player (IMO) but they're unlikely to want to sell him until a replacement is found, if they did sell to us he'd cost a fair wedge and he's meant to be a rather disruptive influence in the dressing room (which at city is saying something).

Just wanted to ask about the shirt sponser tonight {Ed022's Note - It's a charity thing.}

All the shirts worn by the Liverpool players tonight are going to be auctioned off for charity.

It's Standard Charters Charity

Nice touch, fair play.... can we start the season from now? :-)

I just wanna say its a real good charity and helps a lot of partially or fully blind people. If anyone can help it would be awesome.

This coming from knowing a family member affected.

PD6

Nice one.

08 May 2012 20:05:44
Hiya eds whats with the kit tonight? The standard chartered bit has changed? {Ed022's Note - I'm not sure mate.}

It is done as part of charity..Seeing is believing..Good Gesture from Liverpool to support the cause

It a charity for the blind and parsley sighted ian rush went over to africa (i think ) earlier in season , liverpool and standard chartered are main donaters

1ST English club to be attached to a charity, well done LFC,

Villa had their shirts sponsored by acorns, a charity, and blackburn have the princes trust on their shirts, we are not the first but still a good gesture {Ed016's Note - Would be nice if they did it more often}

is it true we're looking at elia?

Think its a recycled story mate.

Thanks, James.

Old story recycled

No he is carp

08 May 2012 18:07:00
Narsingh was at Fulham today having tore don't believe me check sky sports {Ed016's Note - Sly sports. Hm. Yeah anything that they say relating to transfers, no matter if it is fully true or made up is just to stoke people into betting on bad bets}

08 May 2012 18:10:54
anything to the elia story, or jus good old fashioned lazy recycled journalism?

08 May 2012 16:56:42
hey edds
i have been on this site for a year now and have never seen this disscussed or even mentioned before?

what actually happened with gerrard and chelsea all those years ago, did he ever meet with chelsea or agree a contract etc

as much detail as you can please because ive always wondered :)

just wanna thank the eds (and macca)
as this has turned into my most used website over the past year

Davis93 {Ed002's Note - I know little of what actually happened all those years ago but there was an option for him to join Chelsea and he eventually decided not to. There will be the truth and the urban legend that will need sorting out of course. Once Ed001 is back next week maybe you should ask him if you see him lurking around.}

Stop talking in the past

Was it not the scouse Mafia threats have something to do with it?

Gerrard explains it in great detail in his autobiography. Thought most liverpool fans had read it??

You should read his book !

According to that it was all over a contract dispute - he wanted a new contract with more money and Liverpool dawdled over offering him one. During that time he became aware of Chelsea's interested and was swayed by there spending power. But after the champions league success and a new contract finally bein offered he signed and pledged allegiance to the reds saying he would never leave !

Gerard was informed at the time that chavsky wanted him and moors didn't imedeatly nock them back which ****** steven rite of.he felt like he was being used as a porn for more money

I actually looked it up the other week, chelsea made two bids and the second was accepted, he even bought a house in the chelsea area just before the 2006 world cup. However he talked to his family (dad mainly) and he opted to stay :)

Joshlfc {Ed016's Note - I really do think his Dad was the deciding factor. I don't think the fans burning Gerrard shirts were anything to do with the fact he stayed. Either way, if he had gone to Chelsea it could have been disastorous for his career}

If he wants to know, he wants to know. its not hurting you that he asked

According to Gerrard's autobiography he came very close to joining Chelsea on two separate occasions. The first was in 2004, when Real Madrid, Barca, Arsenal, and the two Milan clubs had all "showed interest." Liverpool had finished 30 points adrift of champions Arsenal, and Gerrard had become increasingly disillusioned. Houllier was let go and replaced by Benitez, possibly what encouraged SG to stay, especially as Rick Parry had conferred with both Gerrard and Carra before making the decision. Chelsea faxed Parry an offer of 20 million pounds during the EURO'04's. Eventually, encouraged by his brother and Dad, Gerrard agreed to stay. However, the following summer (immediately after Istanbul) Liverpool stalled on offering Gerrard a new contract, and once again Chelsea faxed in a new offer and on July 5th Gerrard put in an official transfer request, which according to him was to"shake Liverpool into life." Finally, after a lot of soul-searching and family advice, he signed a new contract on July 6th, and on July 8th told Rick Parry to "take out the escape clause, I never ever want to leave Liverpool."

He was on the late late show the other day and said his head was briefly turned and went on to say he was only human. OLl

Disasterous how? At least he would have had a prem league winners medal. Aint likely to get one now is he. {Ed005's Note - He's got a nice CL one to show though, wouldn't have got one of those at Chelsea.}

Does it really matter at this point

Who really cares? The thing is bums on seats and results; Gerrard has delivered, but now he looks past it.

He didn't look 'past it' when he slotted 3 past the bluesh*te

I'm amazed by the "who realy cares? The thing is bums on seats and resyults; Gerrard has delivered and now looks past it" comment.

It is so totally dismissive it is almost disrespectful of a true legend;- Or am I missing the point that you do not really support Liverpool and just looking at getting a reaction? Either way Stevie G could have walked into any team anywhere and been a star, as such he will, regardless of future performances be one of Liverpools greats and argueably be in anyones greatest 11 of all time - show some respect and honour the past, not dis-regard it;- it's what makes us the proud supporters we are, not the "Christmas supporters" other clubs have.

Hi edoo2 whots da chnge that liverpool could have a look at lucas barrios,seeing that his nt playing for dortmund and do u think he wud consider joining. Liverpool maybe? {Ed002's Note - No chance, sorry. He is Guangzhou bound.}

What language is this post written in?

08 May 2012 16:51:01
Do you know if we have any interest in arturo vidal from juventus?

Joshlfc {Ed002's Note - None.}

Great player Vidal but just won the Scudetto and has Champions league football next season so probably not! whats your opinion on him ed? ever seen him play?

BLANCO7

08 May 2012 16:13:12
Also hear the rumour about bojan, have we expressed interest in him? {Ed002's Note - It is not fantasy football and it is never going to happen. Bojan would cost in excess of 40M if his full value was paid. He will complete the move to Roma for some sort of negotiated deal, perhaps including a couple of younger players.}

40M haha u must be joking..

From what i believe he was sold for 5 million Euro's to Roma on the basis that Barcelona could re-sign him 2 years later for the same price if they so wished, they did this for 1 or 2 other players including Jeffren to Sporting (Probably why we eventually didn't make an attempt at him).

Basically its a glorified loan, if they player develops away for 2 years Barcelona lose nothing but gain a much improved player.

I think thats right isnt it ed's ?

JP

08 May 2012 16:12:14
For Ed002, to do with AVB, I know you have said he won't be coming to Liverpool, as you're pretty sure he will be going somewhere else..where on the continent do you expect him to go? As I believe he will be back with a vengeance at the right club...also before Kenny got the job, the owners had a remit for the manager, do you know what the remit was, why it wasn't stuck to and if this time round, they will stick to it? Cheers for light that you can shed on this

Cheers

Ray {Ed002's Note - Subject to another job he would like not becoming available he will most likely take an offer from Roma and turn down an offer from Spain.}

Cheers for that, you're a star as always

08 May 2012 15:53:16
eds any intrest in any of the following, they all have alot of goals this season

lambert
dempsey

luuk de jong
bas dost
falcoa
soldado
llorente
giroud
huntelaar
cavani

thanks and please answer {Ed002's Note - Use the search function.}

What planet are you on mate jordan rhodes he plays with huddersfield he wouldnt be able 2 make that step up from huddersfield 2 liverpool

He has scored alot of goals never know !! could be a dimond in the rough........dont be a doubter

Dempsey yes but all the rest no

08 May 2012 15:51:50
Hi
just one question
is there any chance that Cavani is coming to liverpool this summer
cuz i heard lots of rumors be4 the deadline of the last transfer window that he would come within two days
but suddenly we don't have such rumors anymore
Cheers {Ed002's Note - Cavani won't be moving to Liverpool.}

08 May 2012 15:45:08
eds could rangers sone aluko be a winger option for us ?

collins {Ed002's Note - I have no idea.}

Haha, that's laughable. If we were looking at players like him we'd end up bottom half, If not worse. Obviously we're not but still...

Why not him he is class!! Has loads of pace can go past players like they're not there. About time someone came up with a player we could actually get!!!

He has struggled to look good in a poor Scottish league - there is no reason to believe that he would fare any better in the EPL. He would be a waste of money and would hamper Raheem Sterling's progress.

Hasnt struggled 2 look good hes played well every game and hes out of contract at the end of season

08 May 2012 15:40:33
hi eds do you see lfc going in for elia after he said he wanted to leave juventus? {Ed002's Note - Elia looked certain to move to Valencia a year ago with Liverpool and others considering the player too expensive. He decided to stay in Hamburg and then took the option of a move to Juventus over Newcastle - but it has not really worked out and Juve were willing for him to make a move on loan in January with, I expect, an option to buy. Everton, Hertha Berlin and Newcastle had apparently shown interest and his representatives were looking to place him in a northern European side where he would get a regular start but nothing came of it. I am sure he will be available this summer but the only firm interest right now is from Benfica and Genk.}

08 May 2012 15:27:11
Hey ed002
Just wondering, are Barcelona planning to sell affellay in the summer?
Great player.. {Ed002's Note - Afellay has been out injured pretty much all of this season and I think future chances at Barcelona may be limited but the kid is keen to stay. However, I think it likely that he will be available in the summer and Barcelona will listen to offers. Italy looks like one option available to him if he is sold.}

08 May 2012 15:20:17
Liverpool bid for Bojan, a mate just told me but I hope its not true, he's s**t.

Think Bojan is class, but I also beleive he is on loan at Roma for 2 years (1year left) after which Roma get the option to buy, at least this is what ive read. {Ed002's Note - Not quite. It is much more complicated than that. He is part owned by Roma and they have the option to buy the balance. They will almost certainly do that this summer. There is no offer from Liverpool.}

08 May 2012 14:36:29
Alkmaar winger Rasmus Elm insists nothing has been decided over his future.

There are claims of an agreement with Liverpool, while Aston Villa have also been linked with the young Swede.

But Elm says: "We'll see what comes, what happens in the transfer market.
"I love AZ. The atmosphere at the club, the people around the club, the city of Alkmaar: I enjoy it."

{Ed002's Note - Juventus, Spurs, Manchester United, Lazio, Roma and Liverpool have shown interest in Rasmus Elm but there has been no bid, no discussions about price and certainly no agreement over a move - regardless of what people have said on Twitter.}

Sorry ed but correct me if im wrong, was it not the ed who does the player profile who claimed we had agreed a fee for elm? {Ed002's Note - I understand it was.}

Ed002 in your opinion are we likely to sign elm! {Ed002's Note - I think he would be a decent addition to the squad and I think there is a reasonable chance it could happen.}

He's a winger? i thought he was a CM?

Kaizer

08 May 2012 14:17:05
Hi ed'oo2 I would like like to
Whots the chnce that we could sign granero from madrid and youthink he wil consider a move 2 liverpool? {Ed002's Note - Granero is surplus to long-term requirements in Madrid and will likely leave the summer. Granero could interest any number of clubs and may be used as a makeweight in a transfer. Only solid interest at recently has been from Blackburn Rovers and Sevilla back in January but unsubstantiated rumours have linked him to Liverpool and Espanyol as well but there is no confirmation of either clubs interest. So it would be possible if he is looking to re-ignite his career outside of Spain.}

Whots the chnce you'll learn to spell

08 May 2012 13:59:02
Why sell Suarez he's the first flair player we've had in years, as for Carroll he showed what he can do fit and confident against Chelsea

Because despite spending £100 mil on crap people still think liverpool know how to spot a bargain! Back to chasing shadodows for us. {Ed005's Note - And you do realise it was a very low net spend don't you?}

08 May 2012 13:56:52
Ed when are we alloud to buy players. {Ed002's Note - From the end of the season if they play in most of the rest of Europe.}

08 May 2012 13:20:43
Hi Macca, have we shown any interest in Luciano Narsingh, he has made the preliminary dutch squad and looks a real livewire? I've heard Fulham have made an offer?

Cheers, Smithy

08 May 2012 13:01:07
Ed just saw on caught off side that AVB looks like he is going to take Kenny's place in the dug out any truth to this?
{Ed002's Note - No, it is most unlikely as he has other opportunities.}

What r u on about

Do you not understand the joke that is caught offside?

This "website" is worse than a news article written by monkeys. Monkeys are more likely to predict a transfer than the travesty that is caught offside.

Their rumour mill is no better than a random news generator with a random player, team and price entered and put straight onto the site.

Please, oh please do not believe a word they say, for it is folly.

Jolly Red

I wish there was an agree button for Jolly Red's reply :D

08 May 2012 13:00:44
Has M villa Signed for arsenal.

Scouse Ben {Ed002's Note - No. They are working toward a deal and if they reach agreement he will join after July 1.}

08 May 2012 11:06:35
Hi

Can the eds OR anyone else please shed some light on the following players.

A) - Are they likely to move this summer and is any of them being linked to a club from the EPL.
B) - Are they quality, basically good enough for the EPL, Liverpool in particular.

1. Andreas Bjelland (FC Twente - Dutch League)

2. Brek Shea (FC Dallas - MLS)

3. Javier Aquino (Cruz Azul - Mexico)

4. Mike Havenaar (Vitesse - Dutch League)

5. Iñigo Martínez (Real Sociedad - Spanish League)

6. Patrick Herrmann (Borussia Mönchengladbach - Germany)

Thanks for your valued contribution and a great site.

YNWA-SA {Ed002's Note - 1 - will move to Holland with FC Twente. 2 - Will probably stay in the US before a move perhaps to Germany. 3 - No idea. 4 - Only just moved (I think in the last window). 5 - Can't see how he would fit in and cost would be an issue. 6 - If Real Sociedad decide to sell the kid he will be expensive. Arsenal, Barcelona, Chelsea and Real Madrid have looked at him.}

What about
Gaston Ramirez
Luik de Jong
Isla
And other more talked about players, what's ur opinion {Ed002's Note - Use the search function and you can see.}

08 May 2012 10:57:52
Ed 002, not really LFC related but more curiosity. Do you feel Joachim Loew will continue with Germany after the Euros? or does it just depend on how they get on?

Many Thanks
Amz {Ed002's Note - I expect that Joachim Loew will honour his contract and stay with the German National team until completing the 2014 World Cup campaign.}

08 May 2012 09:53:27
Eds,
Appreciate your opinion on this:-

1)Based on Player potential, success on the field, trickery:
LFC behind MU,Mancity,Arsenal,Tottenham,Chelsea,Newcastle =Based on this we can easily said LFC will be at 6th place in EPL table. Right?

2)Based on Goal scored :
LFC behind MU,Mancity,Arsenal,Tottenham,Chelsea,Newcastle =LFC will be at 6th place in EPL table

3)Based on at match at Home advantage:
LFC behind MU,Mancity,Arsenal,Tottenham,Chelsea,Newcastle = LFC will be at 6th place in EPL table. WIn percentage is lowest. Draw at home result highest. Why at Anfield this season result really suck?

4)Based on player on the Bench in case main player injured :
Mancity, MU and Arsenal and Chelsea got stronger player than LFC = LFC will be at 5th place in EPL.
The more we drop in EPL table, the less we can attract big players to come.

5)Based on style of play on the field:
Got to admit MU, Mancity, Arsenal,Newcastle style of play is better than our LFC. They also can score more goals.
Time to change style? KD need to think another style since Pass n Move not work out. What do you think Eds?

6)Luuk de Jong looks very promising if LFC can sign him.
Which team has the strong interest in L.D.jong?

Thanks.

YNWA'lfc {Ed002's Note - Being a sport rather than a science or something metrically measurable is what makes football so attractive. Any one team can pretty much be any one other on the right day. In think you seem to be looking at the performance of Liverpool in too much of a black and white manner.}

Liverpool have been the team with the most possession and most shots on target in the Prem this season, as well hitting the woodwork over 30 times.
With 2-3 good addition, some players coming into form (Carroll, etc) and less dodgy ref decisions we are not as critical mass as the London press try to make out.
I am optimistic about our future

Mainly in a black manner I would say!

Very black manner, i tend to look at it, we r making the chances we just cant beat the damm post, but that has to change at some point.

Spurs also have twice the squad we have..

We have not really been playing "pass and move" football.More like pass and stand still, a very slow build up version of it.

This either comes from reading to much into player stats(they are only a guide at best) or from playing to much fantasy football.

Its worked for Barcelona for many years Pass and Move. What do you suggest kick and Run.

People forget Liverpool FC still one the biggest Club sides in the World. Everton always looking for Negative Fans to join them.

I actually think we play some of the best football in the EPL. But we just dont score enough. We create plenty of chances and we have only conceded 39 goals (3rd least) and we had conceded less when Lucas was Fit. Dalglish biggest mistake was noy buying a Striker in January (Moussa Sow) he beged for Liverpool and he is considered the best out of Cisse and Ba for his country.

Black and White manner... Newcastle all the way... HWTL

Toonal

08 May 2012 12:20:56
Ed what are the chances of Emilio Izaguirre of Celtic as back up to Enrique, we were initially interested before we bought Enrique weren't we? {Ed007's Note - Man Utd would seem more likely his destination, they have been watching him all season, although he was out injured for a long spell, he has came back and is looking good considering the length of his pay off. If he is leaving though I would expect other clubs to get involved.}

08 may 2012 06:54:10
hot of the press from the good old usa!!

king kenny will be given 1 more year,to prove his worth.
kenny will be handed a kitty of £30million, plus sales from the likes of maxi cole aquaman kuyt.
none of the dc/kd signings will be sold,but will be told that they will have no place to hide this time around.

redmad

That would ALL be good news

Based on what? the fact it was said on a talk back show

Well I've been at work for a quarter of an hour and that's ruined my day already. Please put the legend that is Kenny as DOF, sell Adam, Downing, Kuyt and Maxi, let Aurelio go and do whatever to shed Cole and Aquilani and most of all - for the love of all that's good and Holy - BRING BACK RAFA BENITEZ! Even the most stupid of you must be able to see what bulbs you were hounding out another Shanks.

Good he will get it right, it takes time we have loads of dead wood.

I assumed you based this listening to an NFL correspondent offering his OPINION on talksport this morning?

I feel KD will be given another year. Probably only money raised for sales though

I have no faith in a man that keeps playing spearing

Bring Back Rafa, he would never have lost that Cup final!

Assuming the budget is £30 then i believe we will go for these targets:
De Jong: £12.5
Elm: £8
Johnson: £10

Johnson as in adam? 2 and a half times 10M mate! but agreed, would love him at anfield....

Yes Deadwood to go, i.e. Adam, Downing, Spearing, Aurelio, Cole, Aquilani, not many Rafa buys blame Hodgson and hate to say it Kenny.

Kenny should get another year if he wants it......he brought a club that was a day from administration back to 2 cup finals. We have had a number of issues. We will be back competeing next year and i hope we have the privalidge of having Kenny managing the squad. Some of you are daft and have no loyalty. {Ed023's Note - The owners rescued the club from administration not Kenny. Yes, he steadied the ship but he shouldn't of been appointed full time but the owners were bullied into that decision. They won't be bullied 2 time around}

"Bring Back Rafa, he would never have lost that Cup final!"

That's like me saying "I would have won the lottery Saturday if only I had brought a ticket."

I think it's a case that KK will not win know matter what. People moan at him for playing Carroll, then he's moaned at for dropping Carroll, people moan that Spearing isn't playing, then he gets moaned at for playing Spearing. I personally thought he had made the right decision on the team on Sat, Chelsea's midfield is stronger than ours (with our injuries) so swamp it. We had good enough players out on the pitch to win it.

I want KK to be given another season, i personally believe he will get it right, but i wont hold it against FSG if he steps down, they have to do what they believe is right for the club, no one man is more important than LFC.

Junior Hoilett Victor Moses look to be the cheaper option to Adam Johnson

What is going here guys there is noting called budget our budget is like the past summer any player we want we will get im but the different this time is that we will spend the money extremly wise and edd what is going on with arsenal they are at the door to bring to player at monday or did caughtoffside write only runnish

Kenny is not the man....

do whatever , kenny has this typical english cup mentality ....he is not the future for us in league and Europe.

Good news for the kenny fans, bad news for the liverpool fans

'I have no faith in a man that keeps playing Spearing' - who would you play instead then? Lucas is out injured. We have no other defensive-minded midfielders.

Those wanting Kenny out and Rafa back, pull your heads in. Rafa had one big chance to win the league. It was all but handed to him on a plate. He blew it and then went drastically downhill from there.

One more year oh God then Liverpool will lost support in world wide.

Spearing was a liability on Saturday. Rafa would not have taken the chance. he would not have waited 60 mins to throughon Carroll as it was clear he was needed within 20 minutes. even Carragher would have done better sitting infront of the centre backs. Tactically we are very naive at times.

"Spearing was a liability on Saturday. Rafa would not have taken the chance. he would not have waited 60 mins to throughon Carroll...." ...how often did Rafa make a change before 60 mins? He was renowned for waiting 60 mins before making ANY changes.

LOL! The last time Benitez changed a player before the 60 minute mark was in 2007.

{Ed023's Note - The owners rescued the club from administration not Kenny. Yes, he steadied the ship but he shouldn't of been appointed full time but the owners were bullied into that decision. They won't be bullied 2 time around}
With all due respect, i never said he rescued the club from administration, i said he brought a club back....if you don't remember we were in a relegation spot not to long before he was asked to come back. They were not bullied at all. They asked him to come back and they offered him the job full time. These guys are business men. I think it's a far cry to say they were bullied into offering Kenny the job.

'Good news for the kenny fans, bad news for the liverpool fans' ????
How sad ! If you are a Liverpool fan then you are entitled to your opinion on whether Kenny should get another season. Please don't accuse those who support Kenny of not being Liverpool fans, it defies logic !
Derry Red

OMG, with KD On for one more year, Expect more money to be wasted and more torture for the fans.

One more year for further destruction. Can someone please tell Kenny to step down graciously?

"Tactically we were very naive at times". What a throwaway comment! Who are you? It would be good to know your name and credentials as well as the tactics you would have employed. I assume you have several years experience of managing a PL team playing in the FA Cup final.

I cannot believe how people do not realise how we over achieved under Rafa. he doesn't need a DOF. he just needs to get on with things. Take each game and work it out tactically. Even Pardew does the same. PS get Alan Carr's old man in from Newcastle to do the scouting! stop buying xxxx! As I say Rafa would not have played spearing Saturday. it was embarrassing how they walked past him especially for the first goal. There was no need to lose that game!

How can you say FSG werent bullied into appointing Kenny full time? Their vision was clear, they wanted a young manager such as Klopp or AVB after Hodgson. They pretty much had no choice but to appoint Kenny after the fans were so adamant that he got his contract. {Ed023's Note - Thanks for seeing my point.}

"....if you don't remember we were in a relegation spot not to long before he was asked to come back" now we are less than 15 points above relegation zone, has it made you feel lot better?, we are finishing below everton and fulham who even did not spend half of what we did. Yes we won carling cup, but that was not in the most convincing manner. We just won 5 of the home matches!
What more do you want to return the favour kenny did by assuming managerial role last January.
We had some horrible signings last summer and if the dof had to leave becuase of tht, why shud be the manager spared? Downing, henderson and adam will not be fancied by any top teams, never mind the price we paid for them.
Come on guys, respecting kenny is something different, but think about the club and dont make anyone bigger than the club.

That game was lost due to lack of depth, We have no holding midfielder with Lucas out. Look at the Chelsea bench in that game it cost more than our summer signings. If kenny would have started Carroll we would have huffed and puffed for 20 minutes and gotten beatten on the counter just like it happened without out him in my opinion, the best bet would be putting him on around the 60 minute mark when defenders are getting tired and that almost worked.As for Hodgson getting sacked are you really surprised! It would have been really easy to keep players and find new ones if Liverpool were relegated that season and we could have been with Hodgson at the helm.The owners being bullied what utter rubbish! How many managers good ones were prepared to take the heat at the time. They knew Kenny was available and his record is not bad compared to anyone ready to take the job at the time. I don't know if Kenny is the man to run the team next season but can you tell me with any certainty that another manager will do better?

ChinUp

Kenny would make a great ambassador for the Club. We need Rafa back and to be given a proper chance. All the players who are any good are those signed by him and thats before you get to the youth team!

Bring Rafa back? Wow alot of people have short memories why not bring Hikcs and Gillet back while we are at it.Are people getting paid by HnG to go to this site and write this stuff?

ChinUp

Rafa is not coming back lads let's face it I liked the man too but hes not coming back I say give kenny till January if it's not working then get someone in I think he needs time to rebuild the team. I defo think we should look abroad for players this summer. Come on the reds. 2-0 tonight :)

Chinup - your are not speaking any sense. Rafa did make some mistakes but was a great manager. I don't understand why some people can't get the fact he was always struggling to do what he wanted due to the owners.

Dalglish ambassador rafa to get a proper chance couldnt agree more just read brian reades book about how much crap rafa had to put up with them two clowns hicks and wicks my only problem with rafa was the alonso issue if he could have a more relaxed approuch and lighten up a bit.

Is this the same rafa who tried 2 buy Gareth Barry and sell xabi Alonso?yea great move get him back some dipsticks in here!really rafa?

" I assume you have many years experience of managing a PL team"

So every body on here is a PL manager then?
Sorry but everybody is entitled to an opinion however ridiculous that opinion is.

Just ring Rafa up. get him back and ask kenny to take over as DOF overseeing the whole club ensuring that the mistakes made during the last 22 years are not repeated. I am sure if kenny plays a role controlling what happens at the club half the 'global' mistakes would not have happened.

In my humble opinion I'd say that every single person on this site was jumping with joy when kenny got the job 1 season later there's people in here slating a true legend kenny will stay 1 more year 2/3 signings we won't be far away keep the faith people through the wind and rain

Rafa has gone he had his day and he messed up, he went to Inter and messed up and you want him back, and as for Kenny he may well step aside at the end of the season but only because he is a man of integrity and may feel that he can't do anymore, and then we will be back to square one, new manager asking for time to get things right, the trouble today is that some so called fans expect instant success

Why do you want Rafa back? We should learn our lesson from looking to the past to solve our problems, look to the future and hope for someone with fresh ideas that can move the club forward. AVB or De Boer if we can grt them would be perfect.

Kenny will get another year which is great news
30m
Adam Johnson 14m
Clint Dempsey 10m+ Kuyt

Let me get one thing straight I never wanted Rafa out, I didn't want Hodgson out and I was never sure that Kenny was the right man for the job. What I'm sick of right now is the total lack of stability in the club. I'm not even sure if Comolli needed sacking. I would have preffered that these new owners would hire someone that they more or less trust. I thought it was ridicilous to that Kenny was offered a 3 year deal with Comolli as babysitter. They should have offered him a 4-5 year contract wich is a realistic time frame to get this club up and running again. I have alot of respect for Rafa, but I don't think this summer is right time for him to come back.If things don't work out people will be screaming for his head saying he's messing up again!
If the owners think Kenny has messed up I hope they have the attitude of he broke and he has to fix it

Should replace Commoli with Graham Carr Newcastle scout. Couple of his signings would sort us out! Kenny would be be a great DOF though overseeing things making sure the club is going in the right direction. cos he cares!

Eds, do you think we would make a move for the korean guy(cant remember his name) at bolton, if they were relegated.also, you said we are interested in matt phillips from blackpool, but if they are promoted, would they still be interested in doing a deal. {Ed005's Note - I can't see us being interested in Bolton's player. Phillips could still be of interest but remember that we're dealing with Oyston after all and I think it would be difficult to get the player should they gain promotion.}

Chung yong lee you mean .Well he has been out a broken leg and only just making a come back to reserve level so maybe if they wanted to sign him it would not be untill the january sales

Ryo Myachi you mean? He's owned by Arsenal.

I agree mate. The problem that I have is that Oysten has had it easy from our club with the loan signing of Shelvey and the signing of Tom Ince. The Man is a pleb.

I fancied Lee as a player last season, but he's been injured for most of this one, so I think he'd need to prove he's back to his best before we could go near him.
