Is any deal for Tello in the near future completely dead after he rejected us in the Summer?

No deal in the near future.

Hi Ed's, love the page you guys have got - I know Liverpool don't have too much money to play with in January, but if we offload a few players, is there any chance of a markee signing? Huntelaar? {Ed002's Note - I am not so sure Huntelaar would be a "marquee" signing but for now it seems most likely they will find a comptomise and he will stay in Gelsenkirchen. If not I would expect him to have plenty of options.}

It's a joke that the owners have no money,what right did they have taken us on,in the first place? {Ed002's Note - The owners have invested very large amounts of money in the club and the playing staff.}

Ed002 how can you say they have invested heavily we sold Torres £50m Babel £6m Miereles £11m Insua £1m in the summer for a Total of £68m and brought in £97m of players in Carroll, Downing, Henderson, Adam, Coates & Enrique ... so the net spend is actually only £29m {Ed002's Note - There was more than £30M net spend this summer. They have picked up £50M a year loss for the past two years - so that is £130M they are in the hole for.}

Ed2 mate you always point our loss and say our net spend was 30m but forget chelsea had bigger losses then liverpool and still spend big something like 30M on one player at the same time with bigger wage compare to liverpool then how can we compete. We deserve better mate its really hurting/depressing to watch our club. We are turning slowly by slowly midtable team something need to change {Ed002's Note - It is nothing to do with Chelsea. Arsenal compete, Spurs compete and both spend way less than Liverpool. Of the 13 teams above Liverpool in the league right now ten spent less than Liverpool this summer. It is not how much money is spent, it is how it is spent.}

ED2 Of course Spurs compete,just look at all the trophies they have won,in the last 30 years!!

I think you could be mistaken competeing with hanging in! {Ed002's Note - I was rather thinking the discussion was about competing now, not 30 years ago.}

People keep forgetting that we have had 3 managers in 3 and half years in Dalglish, Hodgson and now Rodgers so the players have to get use to the way Rodgers wants the team playing, and also i dont know what happened in the transfer window but before Rodgers came everyone knew that we needed a striker or 2, we fail to get a striker and e also give west ham Carroll makes no sense and messed Fulham about so missed out on Dempsey so know we have no choice but to play the youngsters so our squad is really thin at the moment, we can forget the top 3 for at least 2 years so it leaves Arsenal, Spurs, Newcastle and us battling for 4th and at the minute they are all ahead of us, when our team clicks we will be OK.

{Ed002's Note - You seem to have forgotten Rafa Benitez who was manager less than two and a half years ago. Four managers in two and a half years.}

Oh yea how can i forget about Rafa, Its a shame that we didnt have the owners full backing when he was there as we missed out on D.Villa, D.Silva, G.Barry & J.Milner as the owners would not sanction th moves..

What do you think eds, also Hunterlaar would be a good signing in jan as he and Suarez have played together before at Ajax, where Hunterlaar was the Striker and Suarez was on the right of a front 3.

BigD {Ed002's Note - Try the search function for Huntelaar. There was some recent discussion.}

Heard Porto are considering a bid for James Rodriguez from Juve, any truth and would we be interested? or is this old news? Thanks

LFCGAZZ {Ed002's Note - Three clubs spoke to Porto about James Rodrigues and two bids were rejected. Neither matches Porto's valuation of the player. The bidding clubs were Manchester United and Palermo whilst Bayern Munich looking looking carefully at Rodrigues as an alternative to Dries Mertens who they are keen to move for next summer. There may well have been enquiries from other clubs including Juventus and Napoli. It may be tough to find someone to pay the sort of fee Porto would be looking for.}

hi eds, is there any chance Liverpool could make a move for Giuseppe Rossi in January. Top, top player who would be available on the cheap {Ed002's Note - No.}

Yeah, sure. Giuseppe Rossi's last match was in October 2011.

He will be out until next year February.

Won't happen

Real Madrid are sniffing around youngster Suso.

DeLaRusso

Really dont think suso will leave as he is gettin game time in a young squad an manager plays ball that suits him jus look at sahin garman player of year at 22 signs for madrid an cant get look in (i no he got injured)at his age he needs to play games wk in wk out an no better place than prem league

That's why we are so keen to tie him down with a contract.

But we can look at it in another way. Does a young professional want to play under Jose Mourinho, who had won 7 league titles with 4 different teams (just the league titles, the full credential is too long), or under Brendan Rodgers, who guided Swansea to Championship playoff?

All respect to Brendan but I think Brendan has to show Suso that he is the right manager to bring the best out of him.

Yeah right I'd rather them have Sahin back

Suso turned down real madid and barcalona for us when he was 16 hes going nowhere just yet

Suso comes off as a Barca player more than a Real player.

Stewart downing will be offloaded in january,as the managers patience with him has finally run out.Liverpool are lining up a bid for PSV winger dries mertens, contact with PSV has already been made,with the player indicating we would be interested in signing for an unique club.

Would love to see this guy at anfield,much better player than downing.

Where are they going to get the 15M euros to purchsse him from?

Is Mertens really that good though? I know he's got pace but what else really?

Downing will be sold but again money will aid a reduction of wage bill for eventual sale of LFC.

Hi ed's Is there any substance to the rumours,that the owners are looking to sell liverpool?. {Ed001's Note - not that I am aware of.}

Downing is finished,manager doesnt rate him,fans dont rate him,bye bye.

This is just lies... putting 2&2 together and ending up with 50!!

The manager would like to offload Downing, yes, but they need to recover some value... The club is in danger of investing £100m (excluding sales) and getting about £30m back a year and a half later... They just wont be able to justify that sort of Financial loss.

Sinister Red

Where do You get the £100 mil from? 50 is more likely, You seem to forget we sold Torres for 50 mil.

Hey ed's
Is there any real ineterest in Harnik, Mertens, Son heung or Merkel?
Cheers, Taters {Ed002's Note - Try the search function please.}

I am also wondering about Merkel and have searched, but didn't find anything about him from the eds. {Ed002's Note - I would doubt it. I suspect a fantasy manager pick.}

I too had heard that we are after an out-of-favour German International and so assumed it was Merkel... Angela Merkel.

Dr. Sanchez

Hi eds. I surprised to today at Hamburger SV Son heung min's goal. He dribbling to 40m and score like to C.Ronaldo.
He is nice form now. we have chance get him in January. How about we bid to him 8M? {Ed002's Note - A number of clubs, possibly including Liverpool, have been looking at Heung Min Son for the past year. Certainly Sunderland, Lille and West Ham have had him watched on more than one occasion.}
