How serious is Chelsea's reported interest in Pep Guardiola ed002, and it is reciprocated at all ?

I read two quotes from two very good managers today both about being linked with the Chelsea job. Both basically said 'Im out to make a career not ruin it.' Shows what people think of Chelsea at the moment. The quotes were Pep Guardiolas and Brendan Rodgers.

Ha to be honest i think it makes perfect sense... He puts the ball in the back of the back of the net. Injury aside. {Ed002's Note - Shearer is without a club right now - could get him in as well.}
I think the difference is Shearer is retired besides a one legged Shearer is better than Andy Carroll.
I must say, I have to agree with the ed. Robbie is undoubtedly a legend but he is not up to this level, any more. And if u don't agree, why do the fans want Carra out. We must accept, Robbie for the coach makes much better sense. YNWA

I'd be half tempted to bring him back, but in a capacity working with some of the young forwards, it would give them confidence and would be popular with the fans, after all the guy is GOD, I don't think he'd genuinely stand much chance of playing in the first team, but if there was a slot in the 25 man squad available and he proved his fitness then why not? Personally i'd rather blood some of the younger talent, but do feel that having Robbie back could be beneficial, especially for the younger players!

Just wondering how much you would think it would take to prize montpellier's star striker Olivier Giroud away.
Personally i think that him and suarez staying would provide a lethal partnership to fire us into the champions league.
Thanks {Ed002's Note - It was expected that Giroud would stay within France with a move to PSG but performances this season have seen Lyon, Marseille, Valencia, Newcastle, Villarreal, Arsenal and particularly Malaga show an interest. Nicollin discussed the interest in the player saying Newcastle were too minor a club and Arsenal would have to pay 50M euros, if not 60M euros for the player. The reality is that he will move for perhaps 20M euros in the summer. Interest at the moment is still being shown by Arsenal and Bayern Munich have made an approach to Montpelier. The player declared an interest in a move to Italy but much will depend on the price - I don't see Marseille being able to pay enough, nor perhaps Lyon. It is possible that Liverpool may become interested but at present I understand they are not.}

Hi Eds, do you know if Diego Caniggia has taken a look at the defender dede (Anderson Vital da Silva)? {Ed002's Note - There is no known interest from Liverpool. Both Milan clubs, Real Madrid, Fiorentina, Benfica and Roma have shown an interest in Dede over the past coulple of years but Juventus, Manchester United and Bayern Munich retain a serious interest in the player.}

rumours saying triple raid on barca for pedro, tello and keita? have lfc got any interest in them eds? {Ed002's Note - I don't see Pedro as a viable option to sign at all. Tello's contract is not up this year but it is expected that Barcelona will offer him a new deal. As for interest from Liverpool I don't know if it is anything more than unsubstantiated rumour, but there is some confirmed interest from Valencia. I don't really understand the links to Keita but he would certainly be available and available at a reasonable price. At 32 it makes no sense to me though.}
Was at Barcelona game on sat and a couple of their fans told me that they think Keita will be at Liverpool in the summer but this is by no means conclusive just what a couple of them think may happen.
Tello just bagged two goals in 7 mins in champions league, chances of him going anywhere just reduced!

I know he may not haved moved but did we ever contemplate a move? I know wages would have been high but Carroll is paid to do nothing I would have rather paid the like of Kun more as his impact would be greater and make UCL qualification more likely.
Would love to know if it even crossed the minds of the powers that be.
Also who did we try for before bringing Andy in? {Ed002's Note - No, LIverpool were not part of any discussions or negotiations last summer. There were discussions with a couple of other clubs but it was clear they would not meet the wage demands.}

Do you think we can get Gaston Ramirez without champions league qualification and how big the interest of man city in him? {Ed002's Note - Whilst Gaston Ramirez has been watched by Liverpool I remain unsure as to how strong the interest is from the club. A move to Inter, Sevilla, Palermo or Juventus, who have made a firm offer, is also possible - although unsubstantiated rumours suggest Manchester United, Barcelona, Chelsea and Real Madrid are also interested. He was available in January for about 15M euro and his agent is looking for a signing on fee for the player as well.}

Daniel comolli was yesterday present for watching birmingham 17 yr old sensation nathan redmond and reports already believe liverpool are in a pole position to sign him on a 3 yr old deal for a fee of around 6-7mil pounds - mihir

Luis Suarez to be auctioned off to the highest bidder in the summer. Palermo & P.S.G are his most likely destinations. Liverpool to use the cash to try and bring in Eden Hazard from Lille.

Yeah, not a bad decision on his part. Not likely to compete with Reina any time soon. Think he will turn out a real good keeper in a couple of years, so I hope we´ll keep an eye on him.

PSG have stated they want Suarez for next season. I really cant see him staying. Owners will want to cash in. Really hope he turns down the cash from PSG seeing almost every red supported him this year.

If we get a big enough offer, owners will probably push it through. Can't say I blame them. At the end of the day it's results that matter.

Eds, how more years do you expect bellamy to stay at liverpool? I think his contract was 2 years with an additional year? Can you just clarify this for me? Its a shame a player of his quality only has a few years left in him. Thanks in advance for posting and reply. {Ed001's Note - as long as he can keep himself at the level he is at, he will stay. Bellamy himself has grown up a hell of a lot in recent years, he has realised just how lucky he is and has made massive changes to his lifestyle. He is also playing for the club he supported as a boy and bought out his contract and took a huge pay cut to join us. Now it just comes down to how long these changes can prolong his career. Personally I hope we can get a good few more years out of him, he has been sensational this season.}

Ed's i Just read Christian Eriksen's player profile in which it says he's been linked with Liverpool. Have we shown any serious interest in him? He has already rejected both Manchester City and Chelsea but AC Milan remain the most interested club.
