Hi eds is it true Olympiakos want to take Balotelli on loan and willing to fee for now until end end of season? Also do Palace hold an interest in Lambert? Also do you see maybe both going this transfer window?

Believable5 Unbelievable1

{Ed002's Note - Olympiakos was the club who wanted him on loan - I doubt that would suit Liverpool.

I am not aware of CP approaching Liverpool for Lambert at this time.}

Eds, any truth in PSG or olympiakos signing ballotelli?!? Would be a huge relief for Liverpool!

Believable4 Unbelievable4

{Ed002's Note - Olympiakos was the club who wanted him on loan - I doubt that would suit Liverpool.}

Hi Eds hope you had a good new year

I was wandering whether any clubs had any interest in Isco given his current form, I remember we were linked with him back in the summer but have heard nothing since

Believable6 Unbelievable2

{Ed002's Note - Real Madrid made Isco available in the summer - although priced at a level where all but a handful of teams could afford him. They also offered him to Chelsea in part exchange for a player but Chelsea were not interested. There was interest from Manchester City and Bayern Munich in the past, but right now I am not aware of any interest that remains from these clubs. I am not aware of interest from Liverpool and there is little or no chance the club could afford him.}

Hi there. What's the score with Konoplyanka? He's available on the cheap, can play anywhere across the front line. Seems like a no brainer to me and also do you see the reds going for a marquee signing to replace SG or doing it on the cheap by promoting from within? Interested to hear your thoughts Eds. .

Believable3 Unbelievable5

{Ed002's Note - Wolfsburg and Bayer Leverkusen have shown recent interest. In Konoplyanka.}

07 Jan 2015 18:51:00
Are we interested in Marc-Andre ter Stegen from Barcelona

Believable3 Unbelievable5

{Ed002's Note - He only moved to Barcelona in the summer - he won't be moving to Liverpool in January.}

07 Jan 2015 13:34:11
Any interest in Lavezzi eds? Thanks.

Believable6 Unbelievable4

{Ed002's Note - Not from Liverpool.}

07 Jan 2015 12:58:23
Hi eds, was just wondering if Kiko Casilla's contract is still expiring in the summer or has he signed a new extension, also do you think Liverpool will attempt to sign Neto? Thanks.

Believable3 Unbelievable2

{Ed002's Note - His contract is not expiring. I think it time to forget Neto.}

07 Jan 2015 19:58:46
Hi Ed has something likely to be agreed for neto to go elsewhere juve maybe ?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Not yet.}

07 Jan 2015 11:21:49
Ed002 could please clear the confusion on saido berahino transfer speculation ? Is he moving ? if yes than where ? Is Liverpool interested ?

thanks

Believable7 Unbelievable3

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of any confusion. West Brom are (albeit reluctantly) willing to let Berahino leave in order to facilitate some rebuilding Tony Pulis needs to do. A proposal has been put to Spurs, who have shown interest in the player, that an exchange for Townshend and Lennon would suit WBA. It may well suit Spurs but I am not so sure it would suit either of the Spurs players.}

07 Jan 2015 11:50:30
No interest from Liverpool than ?

Agree1 Disagree1

{Ed002's Note - The situation as I understand it is described above. I would think if Liverpool were seriously interested they would have to sell to even start to scratch the surface for the price being asked. With so many strikers at the club and Origi on the horizon I don't see Berahino as anything like sensible business until a significant cull takes place.}

07 Jan 2015 18:21:35
Sensible business ed when was the last time lfc done sensible business the deal may be on

Agree1 Disagree0

Are any of our loan players up for sale? if so who is the most likely to be sold?

Believable1 Unbelievable3

{Ed002's Note - I would not expect any of the loan players to be sold in January - certainly the club will look to be moving them on at the end of the season in order to raise funds. You can reasonable expect the club to listen to any offers for the likes of Aspas, Alberto, Ilori, etc.. There will be some dependency on what happens with the management. There may well be some loaned youngsters questioning whether or not they have a future at the club.}

07 Jan 2015 11:38:27
You say the club will be looking to move on Aspas, Alberto and Ilori etc. My question is would the new man in charge get a chance to look at these players first or is it a case of
a) the club want them gone and will be desperate for the money
b) the players want to move on to save their careers due to being Brendaned
c) all of the above.

Only reason i am asking is because i think Ilori and Alberto have potential to be good. Go as far as say i would rather Ilori right now rather than Lovren

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - As I said, "There will be some dependency on what happens with the management."

Ilori and Alberto have had their careers disrupted by the move to Liverpool - they have to think about what is best for them.}

07 Jan 2015 15:43:15
Looking to move a manager on after signing a four year contract extension confuses me?

I guess a manager must live and die by their signings. Houllier, Benitez and Rogers all good managers but some of the players they have bought to this club have been their downfall.

Agree0 Disagree0

Surely we paid decent money for Illori and he was rated very highly, thought to be an LFC star in the future.How quickly things can change, especially the minds of managers.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - And Aspas and Alberto.}

thank you Ed002 and Happy New Year to all you hard workers . .and slackers LOL

Swiss newspaper blick are reporting that we've agreed a 10m deal to sign shaqiri.

Though lots of Italian journalists are claiming he's signing for inter with them flying out today to meet with him.

Eds can u clear this up?

Believable5 Unbelievable10

{Ed001's Note - I was told he was not joining us but there is English interest, just not us. I think it was a London club, though not Spurs. Inter are trying to sell Icardi to Chelsea to fund his signing, so that is most likely.}

07 Jan 2015 09:58:58
I think Shaqiri is a good player and £10m seems a good price. However, it is a signing we simply don't need and our priorities need to be elsewhere. Most papers seem to be suggesting Inter as Ed 001 says (though they are obviously no where near as reliable as Ed 001!)

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - The lastest on Shaqiri as of early evening yesterday. Inter has an agreement with Shaqiri and the player wants the move. However, whilst Bayern Munich are aware of the financial proposals they have yet to be formally submitted to them. Inter cannot do anything more until later in the week as they prioritise the signing of a deal for another player which will take most of today and tomorrow they believe. They are also still discussing the sale of Icardi which will give them much needed funds. The interest from other English sides in Shaqiri has come in the form of enquiries from Everton and from Stoke City.

I would speculate that if Inter don't get Shaqiri then they will go back to Chelsea for Salah. The only firm offer that Chelsea has is from Spartak Moscow and that has gone quiet. The original option of Lavezzi seems out of the question right now - PSG are in absolute meltdown over the two Uruguayans and the Rabiot situation right now.

This does mean that Liverpool have the opportunity to sign Shaqiri, but may well need to sell to raise the cash (at least that is the view of certain well informed parties).}

07 Jan 2015 12:31:25
Ed002 has some more info on this, which he will hopefully add, and point out I made a mistake assuming a party flying from London might not mean a London club, doh!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - As of an hour or so ago Inter's business for the other player has now been concluded and they are looking to sort out the Shaquiri transaction by tonight or tomorrow morning. Their real plus point is that the player wants to move to Italy with them. Against them is that they are unable to pay the full amount upfront.

Therefore if Liverpool want to do something about Shaqiri it must be very soon - and if they are going to pay up front they must have access to the cash. They will also need to persuade the player that he should move to Liverpool.}

07 Jan 2015 20:16:04
Hi Ed002 sorry if this has already been answered but can you explain who was the other player inter were prioritising. How far up there list of priorities is Lucas at the moment. Have chelsea real interest in icardi and what's the meltdown situation At psg with the uraguayans and Rabiot

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Most of this is nothing to do with Liverpool - but (a) Susic, (b) they would like a deal but I am not sure any real list exists, (c) Yes, certainly, (d) I am not going to go in to that here.}

07 Jan 2015 22:01:38
Ed this may seem like a stupid question, but do you know if LFC have any intention of doing this (acting quickly etc) regarding Shaqiri? I know we have no money, but potential sales in the summer may make this move possible assuming the player actually wants it, which I understand is a big if.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - What I know I have explained above.}
