Sky Sports have just announced that Roy Hodgson has been voted Manager of the Month by his piers. Go on Roy lad.

All you Roy denouncers should also be aware that Roy's uncle Gordon (Gordon Hodgson) was a Liverpool legend back in the 1930's.

No one will sign untill the second half of january.Expect 3 signings- a winger , a striker and a defensive player by the end of januray. Remember how Liverpool suprised us with Meireles? I think it will be the same way this window, and a class player will be brought -one or 2 of those -Suarez, Honda, Santos, Negredo.

I see all the talk about coyle, and i realize he is a capable manager, but why would he want to join us? obviously our history and players like stevie and nando would draw him in, but bolton are sitting just outside the top 4. he's only been at bolton for about a year, and i have a feeling he would want to see out what has been a great season for him at bolton.

i'd love to see him at lfc, but i just don't see it.

Rodlofo I believe will take over for a period of time. I hope and believe hodgson is sacked however won't be gone till Monday which Is strange however I believe it's due to first team fa cup game and rodolfos commitments with the youngers against palace tomorrow. Just a thought.

I posted earlier about Coyle and him bringing Davies with him. This was one of Coyle's terms as he knows that Davies is the perfect partner for Torres with his strength and work rate.

The reason behind the delay is the negotiation of the compensation/ fee to Bolton. As losing their manager and captain, whist their other prized asset in Elmander is out of contract at the end of the season (and unlikely to sign after this!) effectively ensuring a relegation battle next season.

I got 16/ 1 yesterday on Coyle being our next manager. He is now down to 5/ 1. I hadn't heard anything, just went on a gut feeling. I guess a lot of people did the same for those odds to come down like that. Do people know something i don't. .

Dont think there will be a massive amount of business in January maybe 2 or 3 signings to steady the ship and then the major investment will be in the summer.

In the summer think we should go all out for Sergio Aguero. Hes only 22 and is already a world class striker. He has openly stated he is a lifelong Liverpool fan and would love to link up with Torres again, plus his best mate Maxi is at the club. Yes he would cost about £40 million, but we could recoup half the money by selling Babel & Kuyt and we have money to come from the Aqualani sale.

It would be a major sign of intent by the club and would get all the fans excited as well as going someway to reassuring the current world class players we already have (Reina, Torres, Gerrard).

{Editor Note: I think if we went in for him we'd have a good chance of getting him. I'd be pleased if we signed him.}

So you'd be happy getting city scraps while they buy the next big name. That'll mean we'll always be one step behind city. Ade to expensive for us. Carlton cole is more in our budget.

Comolli short term goal might be to block roy hodgson in the transfer market.

Internal games, Roy is getting shafted soon.

Comolli is their to stop spending like the big wage package for G-johnson 120 + 18m fee.

Good players cost money, Comolli looking to stop managers from wasting the clubs money.

But this means short term gains/ marque signing are not going to happen. Beckham would never come to liverpool. Cause we don't want to play the wages.

Aquali left because of wages, and fees. They want to get ride of people

{editor: Aqua left before NESV came in}

I was thinking about this beckham to spurs thing and i thought well beckham plays on the right side, where lennon plays. so if beckham plays, lennon won't get much game time for the months beckhams there, and if lennon plays, well beckham aint gunna get much game time. they could do one week becks one week lennon, but that's aint gunna make lennon happy coz hes at spurs until he decides to leave, while becks is on loan and trying to impress capello.
the arrival of becks means that some spurs players r gunna want to leave, so we should pursue them

{Editor Note: Everything is just rumours at the moment mate although my fellow ed thinks Marveaux will sign soon, backed up by his appearence at Anfield over a week ago. Other than that, everything appears to be rumours at the moment.}

Hi Ed, is it true that Marveaux has been plagued this season and is currently out with a hamstring injury? Remember reading on one website (sorry can't remember which one) but the Rennes manager was saying that he wasnt expected back in training for a few weeks. If this is the cse why buy him in January? He'll end up being another Aqualani !

The problem NESV have got in sacking Hodgson is no immediate replacement. King Kenny won't take the job on, unless he gets a long term contract as manager, this is proving to be a sticking point with both sides, NESV only offering him the job till seasons end. This could get messy.

Third, if all would go smooth, and if similar amount could be assured from NESV or maybe more that would be +80M €, then LFC should look to bring SOME of the listed players which would make us a serious title pretenders next year:

Luis Suárez (Ajax) - 25.000.000 €
Mounir El Hamdaoui (Ajax) - 7.500.000 €
Micah Richards (Man. City) - 10.000.000 €
Mirko Vucinic (AS Roma) - 25.000.000 €
Adam Johnson (Man. City) - 8.000.000 €
Niko Kranjcar (Tottenham) - 13.000.000 €
Bojan Krkić (Barcelona) - 15.000.000 €
Marco Rubén (FC Villarreal) - 3.000.000 €
Édinson Cavani (Napoli) - 15.500.000 €
Darijo Srna (Shakhtar Donetsk) - 16.000.000 €
Ivan Perisic (FC Brügge) - 3.500.000 €
Aly Cissokho (Olympique Lyon) - 12.000.000 €
Thomas Müller (FC Bayern München) - 23.000.000 €
Marko Marin (Werder Bremen) - 14.000.000 € Zozzo13

Glad your not manager. . . . .

Why sell 2 of the best players in the world. .think about it. .

Nothing can change in a season just like our undoing didn't happen over night. it took years of getting mediocre which Rafa hided well. now it will take years to get back 2 fourth alone. .

Id give Rafa 6 months. .

I was reading a post relating to you, giving Blair & Macca grief regarding their posts being 99.99% bollox. Therefore as it was relating to two valid posters on this site, I thought you was harsh. And that is what made me read and have an opinion. Rumours are something else, if I believe there is no legs to them, I would move on and ignore it.

Also when in my statement did I state Kenny Dalglish will be installed as manager/ caretaker manager? I said When Dalglish is home, Mr Henry will make it public. What ever people think Dalglish is very respected by NESV/ FSG. This is helped more so by how much respect the fans give him.

Sacking Roy Hodgson alone won't convince Liverpool's stars to stay at Anfield, it has been revealed.

The Guardian says the likes of Fernando Torres and Pepe Reina would not leave during the winter transfer window, frustration at the club's inertia means they will look to leave at at the end of the season if the new manager fails to convince and they aren't given promises of major squad investment.

The choice currently before Liverpool's owners, John W Henry and Tom Werner, is a huge one which will bring with it significant consequences.

For some senior players sacking Hodgson is a step in the right direction. But while Hodgson continuing at the club would guarantee summer departures, his exit does not necessarily mean that Liverpool will be able to keep hold of their most important assets.

Key Anfield squad members have been dismayed by the lack of activity from the new owners since they took over in mid‑October.

The lack of activity in this transfer window only increases that impression, with senior players feeling that promises have been broken before and they now are steeled not endure another season of underachievement and uncertainty.

Liverpool have approached Tottenham for defender Vedran Corluka.

The Daily Mail says the Reds and Juventus have made enquiries for Vedran Corluka after Tottenham intimated he could leave White Hart Lane.

Spurs boss Harry Redknapp is looking to trim his squad before bringing in reinforcements this month and Corluka has become surplus to requirements following the improved form of Alan Hutton.

Liverpool are in a strong position to land the 24-year-old as Director of Football Strategy Damien Comolli signed Corluka for Tottenham in August 2008.

Liverpool are closing in on Inter Milan fullback Davide Santon.

Santon's agent, Renzo Contratto, has confirmed talks are planned with several English clubs in the next week as the defender seeks a Premier League move.

Tottenham, Chelsea and Arsenal have also been sounded out about their interest in the 19 year-old.

But Liverpool will have the inside running thanks to manager Roy Hodgson's close ties with Inter.

offenheim are lining up a bid for Liverpool attacker Ryan Babel.

Voetbal International says Hoffenheim have been in contact with Liverpool about Babel's availability.

Liverpool have already rejected an approach from Birmingham City to take the Dutchman on-loan.

Hoffenheim see Babel as a replacement for West Ham United target Demba Ba.

Bolton Wanderers boss Owen Coyle has emerged as shock favourite for the Liverpool job.

With Roy Hodgson likely to be out of a job within days, the Scot has emerged as the front-runner to succeed him, says the Daily Star.

The name of the highly-regarded Coyle, whose team did so well despite losing at Anfield on Saturday, that is echoing in the Anfield corridors of powers.

Hodgson's fate was sealed with Wednesday's 3-1 loss at Blackburn – Liverpool's ninth Premier League defeat of the season.

And now few words from me. .

first, new manager need to take over now, young and with attacking style of football, and start to prepare team for the next season since this one is already gone with the wind. . my choice: Luciano Spalletti, Joachim Loew or Michael Laudrup

second, we need to offload some players from 1st team
(here are market values from transfermarket.de): Jova (8.5M €) , Poulsen (5.5M €), Konchesky (4M €), J. Cole (17M €), Soto (3M €), Babel (6.5M €), G. Johnson (16M €) and Kuyt (17M € -> he passed his best, really like him, others are rubbish), maybe Maxi (10M €) -> would be great if we could get half the price for each, that would be around 40M €
also, if someone would offer +40M € for Stevie G or +45M € for Torres i would sell them

third, if all would go smooth, and if similar amount could be assured from NESV or maybe more that would be +80M €, then LFC should look to bring SOME of the listed players which would make us a serious title pretenders next year:

Luis Suárez (Ajax) - 25.000.000 €
Mounir El Hamdaoui (Ajax) - 7.500.000 €
Micah Richards (Man. City) - 10.000.000 €
Mirko Vucinic (AS Roma) - 25.000.000 €
Adam Johnson (Man. City) - 8.000.000 €
Niko Kranjcar (Tottenham) - 13.000.000 €
Bojan Krkić (Barcelona) - 15.000.000 €
Marco Rubén (FC Villarreal) - 3.000.000 €
Édinson Cavani (Napoli) - 15.500.000 €
Darijo Srna (Shakhtar Donetsk) - 16.000.000 €
Ivan Perisic (FC Brügge) - 3.500.000 €
Aly Cissokho (Olympique Lyon) - 12.000.000 €
Thomas Müller (FC Bayern München) - 23.000.000 €
Marko Marin (Werder Bremen) - 14.000.000 € Zozzo13

Iverpool Rumours

Shortlist of players LFC want to sign (January and Summer)

Charlie Adam 5m (could be a good signing)

Keisuke Honda 10m (good signing)

Eljero Elia 12m (good signing)

Lucas Barrios 8m (don't know him)

Shaun Wright-Phillips 7m (NOOOOO! I would not pay £7 for him)

Gary Cahill 12m (No)

Johan Elmander Free (why! ! ! )

Emmanuel Adebayor Loan/ 10m (bad attitude and extortionate wages)

Yann M'Vila 10m (good signing form what I have heard)

Alvaro Negredo 13m (not too sure about him, do not think he is worth 13m)

Slyvain Marveaux 3m (I thought he was a free in the summer so why pay 3m?)

Robert Huth 6m (NO)

Davide Santon 7m (Yes)

We do still have youngsters in our team that are ready for the first team, they just need the chance.

Ed is it true Mcmanamanaman (shaggy), is interested in the Liverpool job? {ed's note - he may well be but it is irrelevant as he doesn't have the necessary qualifications to manage in the Prem.}

ED how long does it take to get the Qualification?
As 1 of the rumours I hear is that NESV have the new manager in place but is unable to work in EPL untill the end of may, also that's why thay wish to keep ROY and save £3m on his payoff {ed's note - it takes years to get them all. I am glad, I wouldn't let him back near the club, he forgot who his friends were when he picked up a few POTY awards and skipped off to the sun for the money.}

Just thinking out loud here, but what if Roy is being left in charge for the Utd game (even if only in name) as the likeliest outcome is a loss anyway and it'd put a damper on anyone taking over to suffer an early heavy defeat at the hand's of bitter rivals? Far better to let Roy take the bullet and have it as just another blemish on his Liverpool record.

I think he has been sacked, who ever is taking over does not want to take over till after the manure game, let's face it even morhinio wouldn't want it before manure game with the team so low on confidence, either that or, or king kenny on his last holiday for a while and wants to clear his head, to sort it the way he wants to go forwards. But yes we all no deep down he been sacked matter of time. As for macca how many times has he been right, owners have right to change and delay the choices.

I am with Macca on this one I think Roy has been sacked. If you are giving your notice it doesn't always state from immediate effect.I think this is the case with Roy he as been giving his notice, and part of any contract will be not to discuss details of company business, Hence the press conference cancellation. There is no point in the immediate effect, when the only caretaker could be Sammy Lee.

Santon is a replacement for jonson who will be leaving because he plays right back, adebayor is possible as city will think lpool have no chance of competing with them now. sylvian marveaux has agreed a move and the club have said that they have lost with persuading him to stay. luis suarez was possible at the start of the year until we achieved 12 position and no chance of champions league, that is what he wants. mario gomez, carlton cole are the strikers that are the most realistic. gomez not getting 1st team football in either internatonal or club and cole is with west ham who have no future. scott parker is possible and lucas could leave, koncheskey will definatley be replaced for someone but this remains a big mystery because there isn't many good left backs who would want to come at the moment and cost between 5-10m

this is totally off what i think has a 70-80% chance of happening off reliable sources

Really pissed off not only is Roy still steering the good ship Liverpool but it seems unrealistic that win lose or draw against the Mancs he'll still be gone anytime soon.
Why is losing to the Mancs on Sunday more worthy of him getting the sack than losing to s* t like Wolves, Blackpool, Blackburn etc.
Dont expect any new players in either until Mr Henry either backs or Sacks Roy

Guys give Roy Hodgson a break, hes one of the most recognised managers and creates videos for uefa for training managers to be. He knows what hes doing and just needs time to prove it, poulsen and konchesky were panic buys as we had no leftback and lucas was supposed to leave. They are not permanent replacements. Meireles for Mascherano was a replacement.

IN:
Gervinho (done deal)
Marveaux (done deal)
Santon (done deal)
Mertesacker (on going biding with arsenal)
Young (on going bidding with totenham and utd)

OUT:
Poulsen (2M)
Babel (8m)
Aquilani (13m)
El Zhar (500k)
Degen (500k)
Ince (refused to sign new contract)

Reina
Johnson- Agger- Mertesacker- Santon
Marveaux- Gerrard- Meireles- Young
Torres- Gervinho

None these are Roys signings, its all down to comoli so give him the credit when it happends in the next two windows.

Re: Santon
10/ 12/ 2010 According to Tuttosport, if Rafa Benitez leaves, Davide Santon is destined to go away in January, probably in co-ownership. About the young defender would have spoken Capozucca and Branca, for the trade of Ranocchia.

17/ 12/ 2010 Interviewed by FCInterNews.it, Renzo Contratto, agent of the Italian backwing Davide Santon (19), currently on a deal with Inter until June 2013, and rumoured to be about to be transferred to Genoa or Liverpool, stated: "There have been no contacts with anyone: Davide is a player on a deal with Inter, and it's up to the club to decide".

23/ 12/ 2010 According to his agent Renzo Contratto, Inter Milan wingback Davide Santon (19) will not be loaned or sold. The youngster was recently linked with Fiorentina, Genoa and Lazio.

24/ 12/ 2010 itasportpress.it Liverpool are observing Inter winger Davide Santon. Reds officials are working in order to sign him. After a first bid about 10 millions, seems that the English club want to persuade Inter to yield the player, also offering other players in exchange: Ryan Babel and Dirk Kuyt.

Why are people saying things about llorente, aguero and santon coming in? the realistic targets ot transfers are the likes of marvueax (sp?) but him rumoured to be on a pre-contract agreement and liverpool playing like this, im sure it will probably be another dissapointing league position at the end of the season and maybe the nesv funding the rebuilding process in the summer

but i am with the guys who are saying boas to take over from roy hodgeson as i think boas is a fantastic, free flowing football playing and organised manager

Please post this on the rumours page, we as fans need to stop publicly slagging off managers, it has never been the Liverpool way.If anyone is to blame it is David Moores, he instigated the last 3 years of downward spiral, Hodgson has inherited a squad that are mid table at best (with the notable exceptions). Rafa Benitez bought those mid table players, with the blessing of Hicks and Gillet (who have never had any care for our club). At the moment we are being mocked by all other supporters, not for our poor performances on the field, but for our behaviour in the stands and on the chat sites. We are collectively behaving like spoilt children that believe because we are Liverpool we are automatically entitled to Champions League, premiership titles etc.
If we want to stop the rot, we need to unite on the terraces and on sites like this, get behind our struggling team, stop back-biting, slagging off managers and SUPPORT Liverpool FC.

Something like this is what i'm realistically hoping for after January:
reina
kelly carra agger santon
johnson meireles gerrard elia
honda
torres

maybe another striker like negredo but doubt we will spend more than 15m on any players with so little support for the current manager.
Im just hoping Roy is sacked soon so LFC can move on and get past this horrible phase.

Story Ed's/ Macca,
Is there truth in the rumour of Negredo and Santon or do you think its just paper talk? Was so fed up Roy didn't go yesterday but I believe Macca, he is def finished at the club.No way on earth will they leave him till the summer. He will be gone soon i'd hope but after the big games of the next week. UTD, BLACKPOOL, EVERTON is it? games too important to rip out the managers structure now. Just bide our time. Macca was it really you that posted about Suarez or was that an imposter?Would be a quality signing. Is this signing still on the cards? and is it this window he will be coming?

Fowler is God

{Editor Note: I have heard we are one of many teams looking at Santon. Gabriele Marcotti that Italian guy has been speaking about it. Whether there has been a bid or not remains to be seen. I don't know about Negredo, I'm trying to find out but I don't want it to happen personally.}

As the Eds have cannily been saying from the start Roy has absolutely no longer than the summer to go, even if results do surprisingly pick up. They were likely planning on sacking him sooner and still are provided anyone better becomes available. I personally would rather wait an extra few months for the best. To cover up for Roy's deficiencies a few quality signings will be made this window:

Álvaro Negredo is likely. He is experienced and still young and absolutely fits Comolli and NESV's criteria as such.

Davide Santon is also likely with enquiries being made, whether these will be successful is, in our current state a little unlikely.

Honda is also being looked at with Marveux now only a pre contract.

ED's please post to get some sorm of normality.

NESV know Roy is out of his depth and they want Boas Villa who can only come in the summer. Obviously, now that results have deteriorated so drastically and relegation is looming they want to fire Roy. Kenny doesn't want a 6 month role, he wants a permamnent role or nothing. Honestly I think NESV do not want Kenny to have more power than them.

So NESV's silence and lack of actions is because they have big decisions to make and are taking their time. Quite simple if you ask me.

I honestly think NESV are considering splashing some cash to divert fans attention from Hodgson and try and get him to limp through to the end of the season. Could that be Nando's big gripe that the players know Roy is actually not going and the season is written off. Hard to get motivated imo.

Apparently Henry calls and speaks to Gerrard on a daily basis of late.

{Editor Note: Got ability no doubt. But I don't like him personally. I think he's lazy and as I have said before he goes down way too easily in Spain and England is tougher physically. I feel he would become a target for refs. And he does have the tendency to gain a few pounds during holidays.}

Roy Hodgson's tenure as Liverpool Football Club Manager will cease with immediate effect after the Manchester Utd FA Clash regardless of the result.

John Henry and Tom Werner as well as other Directors including Damien Comolli decided that it would be disruptive in the pre-match preperations to sack Roy before.

Kenny Dalglish is set to take an Interim Manager role whose contract has already been drawn up and will cease on June 1, 2011 when a new manager is expected to be appointed shortly after.

People are talking about the summer transfers, but anything can happen from January to July! First we have to buy players who can quickly fit into the team and hopefully get us into a European place. Needed are a striker who can score goals and create chances, two quality wingers who can whip in crosses from both the left and the right and can get past players creating chances for the forwards and a versitle defender who can play either as a wing back and a centre back. The names that come to the top of my head are:
Honda,
Micah Richards,
Bentley,
Adebayour
Wright-Phillips
or maybe N'Zogbia.
I know most of you will be thinking why these players, they are rejects, but do you think that we can really get top class players in the January transfer window. If you think that then your dreaming! These players will do a better job than the current set of players and will also freshen things up abit!
Once the season is over, we can start to build for the future but all depends on where we finish in the table. If we don't do well, then I won't be surprised if Torres, Gerrard, Reina, Johnson, Agger etc want to leave. So can people please saying 'Team after summer will be. . . ' because no one knows! We have to start from the bottom, and letting the top players go will maybe change things and well a new Gerrard or Torres may emerge!

Given our lack of natural wide midfielders and weakness defensively at fullback wouldn't a 5-3-2 be worth a punt.
aurelio and johnson could both bomb down the flanks and have agger carra and skrtel to cover.
2 up front gives torres some support and 3 central midfielders could all break forward when we have the ball.
4-4-2 obviously isn't working so i'd be willing to gamble on this formation for a game or two

And insider told the news source about what has been going on behind the scenes since Wednesday's unwanted loss to Blackburn Rovers.

"Roy was very down and emotional. He said things like, 'It's been a pleasure working with you all, but I'm sure that the owners will want me out after this'."

"And he even added, 'It's not funny hearing your own fans singing another manager's name every two minutes' [as he referred to Liverpool fans crying out the name of legend Kenny Dalgish which expressed their desperate desire to have him back at the club for the rest of the campaign]."
Porto's Andre Villas-Boas Targeted Liverpool's Damien Comolli will look for another coach to replace Roy Hodgson; Porto's Andres Villas-Boas has been targeted.

Roy Hodgson's job is indeed on the line. with reports claiming that Damien Comolli – whose policy opposes Roy's wish to be in control of transfers – is ready to find another man to continue the job at Anfield. Rumours explain that Andre Villas-Boas could become Liverpool's next boss since director of football Damien Comolli is said to be a big fan of the Porto coach.

Out of the 20 games he's managed for Liverpool, Roy has won only 7 times. Besides, 9 defeats have also slapped the team since then. And would you believe? Struggling side Wolverhampton Wanderers and newly-promoted club Blackpool both defeated Liverpool earlier this season!
Who Is Porto's "New Jose Mourinho" Andre Villas-Boas?

Despite being only 33, Andre Villas-Boas has been branded as the "new Jose Mourinho". Previously, he used to work under the "Special One" as his assistant manager at Porto and he followed his master at Chelsea and Internazionale until he engaged into a head-coaching career in 2009.

Andre Villas-Boas then managed Academica in the Portuguese Liga where he enjoyed a successful spell. The young boss turned Academica's relegation status around as he guided them to clinch the 11th spot in the league besides leading them to a semi-final finish that same season (during the 2009-10 campaign).

Andre Villa-Boas is Porto FC's coach. Rumous claim that he is targeted by Liverpool's Damien Comolli to replace Roy Hodgson at Anfield.Admired for the appealing style of football which he had injected in Academica, Andre Villas-Boas transformed into Porto's target. When the Portuguese giants parted company with Jesualdo Ferreira, Villas-Boas became the next man in charge of Porto in June 2010.

The 33-year-old boss has already won a trophy – the Portuguese Supercup – with Porto following the defeat of bitter rivals Benfica. In addition to this feat and on December 11 last year, he also broke Jose Mourinho's record of 33 matches unbeaten in all competitions.

Look i can understand everyones disappointment that Roy is still there.

I still have to stand by what i was told because of who it came from, i understand if people doubt my sources but that is just the nature of peoples mindset.

I can absolutely confirm that the information that i post is from the club, players and staff.

If things don't happen then i am man enough to take the flak, but i can guarantee i only post exactly what i am told and would never make things up for the sake of a story.

If he has not gone by Sunday then there will have been a change of mind within the hierarchy of the club, this is not me backtraking but these things happen.

We have to trust the owners and stop slagging them off as i can assure you they are doing everything for the long term future of the club and i know that for a fact.

His position is untenable and the owners know that, they are obviously going through the process of replacing him.

Cheers

We need the following

First and Most important - A manager with attacking mind and who is fit for our great football club (we do not need any one who managed Fulham and Bolton. no disrespect there)

Second - Need a quicker center back to play along side Agger (Carra and Wilson is back up)

Third - Two attacking out and out wingers

Fourth - A striker to play along side Nando

Then with youngster we have we should be able to challange for trophies

This season is dead. . So get some one in to replace Roy and access our squad as well as our reserves and recrite in Summer

Hi All,

I spoke to an ex colleague and friend of mine today who works as a vendor to LFC in a certain capacity. He said he was at Melwood yesterday, and its true that Roy is for all intents and purposes gone. he didn't give me dates or times as I genuinely believe only a close knit group at the club knows as they conduct their business in a professional private manner.

No idea who the next manager will be and I am not sure who would want the job (that we as fans would find acceptable) as it involves motivating over paid under performing ageing players who don't have a hunger anymore ( Gerrard + Carra + Reina aside)

My final point is everyone is giving Roy a bashing, but I genuinely believe we wouldn't be any better off under a "priest in a sugar mountain" or anyone else for that matter, the squad is what it is, mediocre at best. So whilst I agree it was a strange appointment, I don't think calling Roy cancerous is at all fair.

Onwards and Upwards and remember YNWA

Just got back from walking the dog. . and its p*****g down! got the day off so I am all over this site like a rash. . It looks as though roy is here until at least the weekend so I wanted to post a team to see if everyone/ most people agree with this side for the weekend.
pepe
johnson skertel agger aurelio
babel superman meriles/ lucas jovanovic
cole
torres
I think this is the best we have and my reason for picking this side is that there are a few players in it who have something to prove. . I am sick of seeing the same names on the teamsheet every week not producing. Kelly is a good shout at right back though.
Point is I would now rather see some players who have not had a run in the side (jovanovic, babel, agger, cole) over those that have not performed. Any thoughts on this?

Roy wouldn`t be my choice of manager but I do feel sorry for the bloke. Those overpayed prima dona players should take some of the blame! If I went 2 work and done nothing and told the boss to f. . off i`d be sacked but woy has had to put up with that! The players wouldn`t buy into his style of play and have no respect for him as a manager that's a fact! to publicly ridicule the man from the terraces is not the Liverpool way so cut the man some slack! Ashamed to be a Liverpool fan at the moment and who-ever manages us next needs to sort the overpayed big headed trouble makers within the squad out first! 3 players to arrive within the next wk I believe and hopefully they will play for their shirt and not a very large pay packet!

According to talks* te we're looking at negredo of seville for about £17m, i'm sure this is the same negredo that used to be at real madrid and who was offered to us in the xabi alonso deal, if it is i guess that was another piece of good transfer business by rafa and to be honest for £17m i'd rather go for suarez.

Hi
I wrote last week about Paul Knochesky's family and the illness of his child. I also advised that Connor Wickham was being looked at and the possiblity of relocating his family up north. Keane was reluctant to let him go as he was not going to be given the proceeds to spend and the lads future is now in doubt. The players are awaiting advice on a new manager but it is believed Paul Jewell is in the frame. He is still a red scouse fan so a deal (if any) would hopefully be pushed towards our direction if he chooses to move on.
Sorry nothing more concrete. Also, a lot of you seem to be forgetting the 8 player home rule with your transfer wishes. Paul knows he was bought in as part of this ruling and is still trying to win over us fans. He is now at full fitness and he is confident he can show his best form in the coming weeks. He has not heard anything official about Roy's position but is saddened by the vociferousness of the attacks on someone who is a good knowlegeable man. His tactics have not worked with our club but to call him 'cancerous' is just too much.
Keep the faith everyone, the club will bounce back from this.

Just checked skybet on roys future,
he has went form 1/ 3 to 1/ 5 to be next manager sacked.

I know skybet ain't very reliable, as they report the stories to entice the bets,

however, the price of 1/ 5 is shorter than
your ever likely to see.

is it getting closer to a new red dawn?

I think you are all condemning NESV too quickly, what have they really done wrong?
They have stood by a manager and given him the time to turn things around, if he had done, we would be rejoicing at their nouse and at his abilities.
If they had ousted him sooner, we would be condemning them for not giving the manager the opportunity to put his stamp on the team.
As it stands, they have re-iterated that he has used all his excuses (see NESN site) and that money will be available to buy the 'right' players.
They have stabilized signings with the appointment of Comolli, bank rolled new contracts for some major players, and do not forget, they bought the club from Hicks and Gillet.
How can so many people be this negative towards owners who have made life a fairy tale compared to the nightmare of Hicks and Gillet.
Be patient, we will arise from the ashes, and the eternal flame will burn brighter than ever, once NESV have revitilized the squad and management, changes are coming, watch this space. .
Anything to ad comment on their ed?

Come on now Ed. . I take my time typing my thoughts and fears and then you only put them on the banter page! . . I scrolled down recent posts on the banter page and very few even get responses!. .Which makes me think most go to the rumour page. .We're all talking about Roy and our next step, and the rumour page is full of 'opinions' and 'thoughts' like the one posted by a Steve Parker at 09:52 with the heading 'The madness of King Roy XI'! . can you place it on the rumour page please as that is where most of us fans go to get as much feedback as possible. And i can't help but feel the banter page is sometimes a demotion mate. and surely its more worthy then some of the outrageous lies that some people post mate?. .So it is pretty frustrating when you put my post somewhere it probably won't get read as we're all on the rumours!. .We all want to be heard. . The old Eds always responded too?. . thanx. . .

. Like everyone else, I'm suffering from severe depression over what is happening to our beloved Liverpool!. .And NESV/ FSG's reluctance to act now I fear may soon put themselves into our bad books along with Roy!. .However, in a way I understand why they may be a little scared to put King Kenny in temopary control untill the summer, and their reasons for taking their time in making a decision actualy show us that they're pretty shrewed smart and calm under presure!. . They're afraid to appoint the King because
A) If he does extremely well over the next six months they will find it almost imposible to give the job to someone else to lead us into the future, someone young and ambitious, which has always been they're original plan!

B) He does so badly that his reputation is destroyed and he has to leave the club all together, thus denying NESV one of they're most valuable resources and advisors! . .And if that happened, who would help advise them on our next manager?. .Comolli?!. . I like Comolli's stratagy on buying young talent, but didn't he give Spurs Jande Ramos!? . . . .

So the decision that has to be made next really isn't as easy as it seems. .

I love this website but it looks like the lunatics have taken over the asylum and have learnt to start sending e mails.some also turned up at blackburn on wednesday night
i left the ground with 25 miutes to go.not because of the football but because of the idiots singing "your getting sacked in the morning" or "hodgson for england" or "dalglish".it very nearly caused anarchy amongst those who were there and i must point out that its the first time i have been to blackburn and saw hundreds of empty seats in the away end.i apologise for not staying and supporting the team but there looked there was a riot on the way
the genuine lads who i see home and away every week were genuinely embarrassed and disgusted that tv and opposing fans can see lfc imploding from the manager , to the team and through to the lads in the away stand .
we know he is not the man for the job but are we going to do the same on sunday against the scum and let them have a good laugh at us.?
for those of you going just have a think before you join in the slagging off of hodgson and stay behind the team.
as for managers i don't think kenny is the man unless exceptional circumstances arise whereby we need somebody to steady the ship on a temporary basis.
my only grind at the moment is why are the yanks so quiet.
sorry ed for the rant and lack of rumours but i just want to remind people we are LIVERPOOL FOOTBALL CLUB {ed's note - no worries, nice to have your input.}

"Also ive heard Deschamps has said he would'nt be interested in the role!"

This is correct. Deschamps' current club (Marseille) are going to carry out a significant stadium upgrade ready for euro2016) and due to be completed by 2014 and he has repeatedly stated he wishes to be the first manager to use it. He is currently in the process of negotiating an extension to his contract due to expire 2012.

Lots of people suggesting that they are waiting for Kenny to get back from holiday on January 10th. Surely he'd walk back straight away if he was needed and wanted by NESV for 6 months?

-IamTheCosmos

* * *

surely he has a phone with him on Holiday? ?

* * *

I know he has a phone, I'm not that stupid. What I'm saying is that if NESV wanted him to take over on a short term basis that he'd get a flight straight away. It's King Kenny, he wouldn't care about a holiday in Dubai if he knew he was needed as Liverpool manager straight away.

Any news on this Antonio Floro Flores Loan from Udinese? Is anybody aware of any other transfer activity? I have heard a whisper or 2 at the possibilty Santon may well be brought in this winter, I believe the realisation that Johnson is not a "Worldy" defender will see this young Italian take the right back slot with Johnson moving to the right wing and hopefully see a similar upturn in fortunes in the same way as Bale! I beg for a couple wingers and a centre forward - Please NESV - Make it happen - we are only a couple bodies ( And New Manager) away from turning this around!)

Any realistic transfer rumours ed?

Dear Mr Editor, Do you think Liverpool will sign any new players given the current Managerial pandemonium going on at the moment, Nesv's inability to act and us being linked to very average players such as huth and corluka and floro flores. I hope we do get some in because even if we got only one winger that would suffice for the season. And without question pacheco should get in the team way ahead of cole rodriguez kuyt ngog and babel. Also where the hell is Suso at sixteen look at Bojan and rooney when at everton. He is young yess but if your good enough which he is then he defo should get in the team. .cheers please reply ed. {ed's note - players being signed is nothing to do with our current manager anyway, so it will no effect.}

()()

07 Jan 2011 11:36:18
I'm not sure who mentioned this before but I believe NESV have already got a new manager lined up to take over in the 2011-12 season. RH may or may not be aware of this, but his task this year was to stabilize the team and just keep thing ticking over while everything is put in place off the pitch, while Comolli would handle any signings required.
However, the disastrous performance over the past month or so has ensured Roy loosing the fans. I believe he has lost a good few of the players as well but to keep things going we had somet of the team coming out with their support and even a big display of team hugging at the Bolton win. But the terrible showing and the reaction after the Blackburn loss has taken us one step too far, being the transfer targets of Comolli are now back tracking. According to the press before the Blackburn game Elia had agreed personal terms now he is quoted as wishing to play for other teams, Honda has gone very quiet, what other transfers are doing the same.
NESV's plans are now coming apart at the worst time and without a reasonable standing we are losing new signings, which will reduce our expected standing at the end of this season, may even put us into relegation, which will mean the loss of our existing good players and the proposed new manager, in short a total disaster.
So they have now had to consider their options, I'm sure by now the lined up new manager for next season cannot be signed until the new season, any temporary candidates in the know of NESV's plans have not wished to take up the position, remember, Dalglish wanted to be the permanent manager not temporary, if Dalglish took over and did well, NESV would find it difficult to remove him and put their guy in. Also, how can you find a good manager, which the fans and players like to do 6 months only, without, it leaking out, and if it leaks it will prevent you bringing in your own guy.
So, I think they are a little stuck and they may have to give Roy one more chance, may be bring in some help from the old backroom team and hope we survive.
I hope this is not the case, but it would certainly explain everything which is happening at present.
What your thoughts Ed? and the rest of you? {ed's note - I just think they have written off this season myself.}

Just seen a story stating that Man U has setup an agreement with FC Twente so that Man U can send some of their potential South American signings to holland to get some playing experience and get a work visa so that they can enter the UK. Why or why don't LFC have a similiar setup? That way we could give some of of younger players more first team football experience as well as opening new markets to bring talent into the club.

Too this guy. . . . . . . . .

Be careful what we wish for. . .IF King Kenny is appointed he may want to recruit the support of his old friend John Barnes again? Much as I love 'em both and would love to see younger versions of both in the team it did not work out at Celtic and would not at Anfield.

- - - - - - - - - -

John Barnes and Kenny never worked together as coaches at Celtic. Kenny was appionted Director of Football while barnes was manager. When barnes got sacked Kenny took the role on a part time basis as a favour to Celtic until Martin O'neil took over that summer.

As for Kenny The last time the man was given the right backing and money he won the league with Blackburn and ended United's two year reign as champions.

Kenny with Thomo, Rush or evn Cara till the end of the season then have a review. if its working lets keep the faith and bring back the bootroom if not nothing lost, nothing gained. . Bring a big name in! !

Also ive heard Deschamps has said he would'nt be interested in the role!

Alright Ed, im just wondering if you had any sort of idea what the target was in terms of League position before the campaign started? I was assuming it would be a Europa League place?

With the wage bill already too high (John Henrys words) would this hamper us bringing in new signings - it is already proving difficult to shift the likes of Ryan Babel out the door? If we have budgeted for Europe and don't make that as it is now looking a bit unlikely, do you think wages in terms of Reina/ Torres will have to be freed up as it must be said if these players are not performing to their level, is it any point in paying them this top wage when it could be used to best benefit the squad? After all it will take a while to turn this squad around?

People saying Temp Manager now and get the right man in Summer. . . . WHY?

We should get the right man now! if it costs an extra £m in compensation, get him.

this season is a write off, new manager now has 6 months to assess the players he has and then summer can offload the crap and buy who he wants to.

Temp manager now is just delaying things. A new manager in summer will need few months to assess and sort things and that's another season written off.

If the manager doesn't want to join now, then he's not the right man. the right man will want to join asap, not in 6 months.

Now Roy listen very carefully. . you have absolutely nothing to lose against the Mancs. .so heed my advice and spice up your side to be more offensive (your sides have been Offensive this season but in the wrong way!)

Play G Johnson on the right wing with Kelly at right back. To offer some width and pace on the right flank.

Centre backs Skrtel (unfortunately Carra still out) and Agger. .left back can only be Aurelio.

Centre - Gerrard and Miereles (if fit if not Lucas)
on the left either Cole or Babel. . they can both be hit or miss, , , Babel has more natural pace.

Torres clearly up front (has had a lot of stick this year but let's not forget what he has achieved at Liverpool, he has already scored enough goals to live on in Liverpool fokelore for many years to come. .he just needs more creativity from midfield to support him). . and playing just behind Torres. .no not Ngog but Jovanovic. Jovanovic has hardly played to be given time to settle. .but he seems to have an eye for goal and is forward thinking.

so

Reina
Kelly Skrtl Agger Aurelio
Johnson Gerrard Miereles Babel
Jovanovic Torres

Come on the Reds let's turn over the Mancs and turn around our season

NESV will not appoint king kenny as they are in a a difficult position with him. we all love him and by giving him the managers role will basically give him more power over them as we all would follow kd through anyhting. expect kd to keep within the club but in a "nothing" role so to speak.

Why are so many people saying that Sammy Lee should take over? He was a great player, but as a manager he is worse than Roy. This makes sense in the short term as they are both already at the club. What do you think Ed?

Aim to get the best manager possible otherwise we're going to lose whatever decent players we have.

NESV give Hodgson last chance

Despite rumours aplenty throughout Thursday, it looks as if Roy Hodgson will undergo a press conference at Anfield at 1pm today ahead of Sunday's FA Cup meeting with Manchester Utd.

After Wednesday's 3-1 defeat to Blackburn, coupled with a frankly awful performance, Hodgson's job hung by the thinnest of threads. But, if this morning's papers are to believed, he has one more chance to prove himself.

Unfortunately for him, it's away at Old Trafford.

Rory Smith in the Telegraph writes:

Roy Hodgson appears to have been given one last chance to save his job after unexpectedly remaining as Liverpool manager on Thursday despite the mounting conviction of the club's owners to end his six-month tenure.

"The Madness of King Roy XIV"
I was hoping to write about something other than our manager this morning: I will do and it's a slightly offbeam rant about talkSPORT, but I also want to mention our players and their wages as well.

Before the hapless Roy, let us just wander to radio.
I was (as ever with talkSPORT) irritated by Alan Brazil and the clown who supports him - Ronnie Irani. Brazil said on air this morning when discussing Liverpool FC and the situation with managers:
"This is getting ridiculous now, all these expected sackings . .) (Paraphrased but the gist of the words) Why Alan?
At this stage Irani pipes in with "Good Morning" just to prove he can talk as well as act like a radio presenter.

Consider this Alan: the average wage is around £25, 900 per annum. If you have five or six years of earning £35,000, then when you stop that job, it still leaves you looking to earn to live. But Alan, if you say that football is a short career, then think on this: you earn £1.2 million a year for the same time and when you stop . . you won't have the need to financially work again!
This is the same for managers - and the reason I have little real sympathy for your morning comments.
It may be ridiculous to you and other managers, but it does make sense to the fans and supporters who shell out money to support a team.
Somewhat out of touch Alan.

Roy Hodgson's position remains unclear, but I am leass impressed with hearing from our own fans about how NESV is dragging its feet and 'not doing anything.'
When you poke your face out through the curtains and look across the road at your neighbour's house or flat, what do you see? Maybe one light on and so you guess they are just sleeping or watching TV.
But they could be working on a thesis for university, drawing, painting the toilet, cooking a meal, sleeping or washing the dog. You won't have clue. AND it is the same with NESV guys!
You don't spend $485 million on a football club and then just wander off for pizza when there is a crisis.
Just because you and me don't know what's going on doesn't mean this is the case and they are not working on the problem.
This is why I ignore these posts that suggest we are being let down by NESV.
For once in my life I will say, "Shut up and wait for the results!"

Finally on Kenny Dalglish: interesting on the radio as well this monring, suggestions from some Liverpool fans that Kenny was never the world's greatest tactician. True for me, but he is an inspirational figure. Yet I said this yesterday - who is he to inspire?
Inspiring the fans is all well and good, but we don't kick the ball.
If you're 30-odd+ then you will remember his sublime touch and skills. As a fan now you will be inspired. But Lucas, Agger, Torres and Babel, young players of that ilk are possibly less impressed with him and maybe that's the problem for some fans. They were not born when he was around. They think everyone will be 'over the moon' if Kenny Dalglish comes in as manager. Reality may bite.

Just a quickie that I forgot to say in my rollover radio bit. Alan Brazil mentioned the possible candidates for Ipswich manager. He couldn't resist the chance to mention his old mate George Burley.
Burley along with Mowbray, Strachan and Allardyce is one of those managers who are serial failures, yet seem to walk into jobs weeks later.
I have never understood how a man so inept at management and with such a poor record can simply stagger from one well paid job to another.
Don't be surprised if he turns up at club near you very soon!

Roy will be the next Chelsea manager. It's fairly obvious, once they pull the plug on Ancelotti, Chelsea will be the only premier league team with a squad better than Liverpool's that's looking for a manager. The only reason for Roy's failure at Liverpool is the lack of quality in the squad therefore he's an ideal candidate for managing Chelsea and their superior squad.

This is out ov today's liverpool echo for all you glory hunting wools who can't buy it coz ye not from Liverpool This is an awful time for Liverpool Football Club and everyone involved with it.I well remember how it was for those few weeks before Gerard Houllier and I left in 2004 - and at times it was really unbearable.
Of course I can't speak for Gerard but I took the criticism of him at that time quite personally and I felt a lot of his uncertainty too.
So much flak over the team's performances and results were aimed at Gerard - but I felt we were all in it together.
You could not help but be affected by what was going on and the mood was very difficult during those final days.
From the gate man at Melwood to the people at reception, to the technical staff and the players - it hung over all of us.
So right now I am pretty certain it will be similar behind the scenes at Melwood and Anfield - but in truth probably far worse.
We had had success before those days and had known good times.
But Roy Hodgson has been at the club for barely six months and it has seemingly come to this. So this is different. Very different indeed.
We are witnessing unprecedented things in unprecedented times at Anfield.
We have never before known such overwhelming calls for the manager to go from so many supporters and with such volume.
I don't like it because at Liverpool we like to think we handle these things differently and we don't go around calling for the manager's head like this. But these as I say are unparallelled times for the club.
The fans are emotional and angry and you have to understand that and take it into account.
Over recent years these supporters have been through some terribly worrying times with the ownership issues and the debts.
Finally, they have seen an end to the Hicks and Gillett era and the debts wiped away - but instead there are now big problems on the pitch.
This is a proud and successful club with the best supporters in the world - and they are understandably hurting.
I have to be honest and admit that the only way I see for us to get out of here now is for a dignified parting of the ways.
Roy Hodgson has done his very best but he has had a lot of problems to deal with and sometimes you just have to admit that the club and the issues are just too big for you to handle. And that something has to happen.
If Roy and the club can strike a deal that lets him go with his head up and allows Liverpool FC to move on, then sad as I am to say it, I believe that would be in the best interests of everybody concerned.
Roy did come in under the previous owners and he did inherit a depleted squad lacking talent and commitment.
He hasn't had a Chief Executive Officer to work with in recent months and at times it cannot have been easy for him. Early on he had to deal with the Mascherano situation, trying to keep a player who wanted to go and who eventually forced his way and got his wish.
But that said Roy has got some things fundamentally wrong with tactics and personnel, particularly away from home. The truth is we have not seen one fantastic performance from Liverpool all season. And we have seen some abject ones.
We are wallowing in mediocrity and the owners, who to their credit have taken their time and listened to lots of people to try and grow to understand the club, must surely know this is not what Liverpool FC is all about. Quite the opposite.
They'll be talking to the right people about how to handle things I hope - and for me two of the best people they could listen to are Commercial Director Ian Ayre and Kenny Dalglish.
I hate knee jerk reactions - this isn't that - and take no pleasure saying so.
But it is time for a parting of the ways between Roy Hodgson and Liverpool. One that happens with a degree of dignity for everyone's sake.

I had a disagreement with my brother when Roy was first appointed that he was not the man for the job. Lets hope the new owners find a decent manager & in the interim appoint Mr Kenny Dalglish. . this will more than likely come to fruition after Sunday's game at Man Ure. .
Lets hope he plays an attacking line up on Sunday pushing Mr Glen Johnson up to RM with Mr Kelly at RB & drop Mr Konchesky for any other player.

I'm constantly on this site and posting for the first time but felt I should post this after all the unbelievables for the original guy who posted earlier.

It is clear that Hodgson will be out after the man untied game even if we thrash them 5-0.
The reason being , the owners wanna see an otherwise nice bloke leave with his head high and want him to beat united for the very same reason. Dont be surprised to see a better performance from our players , enough to see us beat united.
But the new manager could well be a total surprise . Cant really say. It ll be out of the blue like the appointment of camolli.
Chill guys. .

LFC LATEST

MANAGER: Severance deal has been agreed with Roy and Sammy was going to be in charge for Man Ure game as new manager (Rangnick) cannot be unveiled until Monday. However, Roy would like a chance to beat the scum so Sunday will be his farewell game. Come Monday, Rangnick will be the new LFC boss.

PLAYERS: Marveaux will join in the summer, verbal agreement, but formalities have been put on hold so LFC can assess the outcome of his operation. M'Villa is the midfield target as the powers that be aren't convinced by Lucas. Honda WILL join as soon as Japan are done in the Asia Cup and the new manager is happy with the acquisition - he'd be the new #7.

So, now hazard is apparently heading to arsenal for £15 million, elia wants to go to a 'big club'. . not looking good. although, i still have a feeling we'll have a good performance at united. . what bigger motivation does an lfc player need!

By the way can't we swap aquilani for milos krasic that d be right wing sorted

{editor: I think that the deal with Aquilani has already been sorted. Krasic is a class act but has only just moved from CSKA Moscow recently}

then can't we give them aquilani and babel and they can have poulsen back, krasic was perfect for our right wing, as close to gerrard as i have seen

THIS IS SHOCKING NEWS IN THE PAPERS THIS MORNING Liverpool's new owners have been warned that even the sacking of Roy Hodgson might not be enough to stave off an exodus of their key players, including Fernando Torres and Pepe Reina.
But like i always say no player is bigger than LFC

o KOPITE o

{editor: That's just paper talk for you mate. I wouldnt listen to that. I doubt they have gone into the dressing room and asked the players if they are leaving.}

Right i m f* *ing sick of the english media, poor roy who inherited a s* t bunch of players
well lets examine these players

1 gerrard best midfielder ever to play in red(england captain)
2 torres top rated cf in the world last year(world cup winner)
3 reina spains number two keeper(and world cup winner)
4 raul meireles (portugals main midfielder)
5 agger( denmarks mainstay of defense)
6 skrtel slovak international
7 glen johnson england s first choice right back
8 maxi rodriguez argentinian international
9 lucas full brazilian international
10 joe cole former england international
11 kuyt dutch international(worldcup runner up)
12 babel dutch squad man
13 ngog okay s* te
14 aurelio decent fullback
1 carragher best lierpool centre back of the last ten years

so roy fields two players who were in this years world cup final every week, two who were on the bench for thew world cup final, the england captain and first choice right back, an argentinan and brazilian international

ffs the squad is not s* t, the manager is f* *ing woeful

please print this so i have a decent release for my anger

Gerviniho 12m
Out
Konskesky 4m
Skirtel part of cahilll deal
Lucas 9m
Kuyt 8m
Poulson 3m
Jova 6m
Differance 33.5m-30m = 3.5 m
I know that this squad may not be as exciting as the otjers posted on this website but it is realistic and gives liverpool something to work with so in later years we can haul in som big names such as aguero or Mata.
Thanks by Samre2
P.S I forgot to mention that the manager would be frank Rijjaard becaus hes free and a very attacking style Manger
3.5m is basically nothing for the owners

In reply to:

"Beckham will be joining on the 10th for the rest of the season. Could be something to do with shirt sales as he doesn't ofer any pace, good for business i guess.

Macca"

Do you honestly think David Beckham, a Life-Long Manchester United fan, would join Liverpool? Come on now be realistic.
Also, Beckham would bring alot to Liverpool (if he did go) in his Outstanding Passing, Crossing, Shooting and Free-Kicks. Never mind the stability he would bring to the squad, as such a respected player.

Ed you input would be appreciated.

MPez

{Editor's Note: I doubt that he will be joining.}

To be honest what I think what should happen
Main player(blood) of club should be brought into meetin (reina, carra, gerrard and torres) and should be asked what realistic manager would you like at this club.
With that the players will feel more involved in club and will want to play for us more as they will feel more important and wanted. ( Please not the new manager be martin o'neil I hate the little s**t, I didn't mind him until he tried to rip us off for gareth barry then he wants to pay out buttons for the players he signs- he p****s me off big time) I hope the manager is rijkaard, deshamps, daglish or the eds favourate ( you know who I mean ed - I done that for you, he is actually a really good manager who supports liverpool so he will have us at heart and will want best for the club, he also plays attacking minded.) I'd also like to see carragher do what daglish done back in the day and become a player manager.

Who do you think the shortlist of new managers will be ed, and who do you think will be appointed in the end
Thanks ed,

{Editor Note: No-one knows mate. Deschamps, Boas, Coyle and a few others mentioned. I can't see us getting our number one target until the Summer though.}

Reliably informed that the club will appoint a new CEO next week, who will be given the responsibility of sorting the manager situation, hence why Roy won't go until then.

Hello people, went for somethin to eat before with my missus and her mates. One of her mates is at uni studyin to be a journo and he started talkin to another journo I haven't got a jar of glue who he was but he sed his name Brian Reed or somethin along them lines. Well cut long story sort we asked him about liverpool cos he's meant to write about lpool all the time plus he's a lpool supporter and he said NESV have already got a manager to take over at the end of the season, liverpool haven't sacked hodgeson as somethin to do with Kenny Dalglish being on a cruise in dubai and that owners r gonna leave Roy to put the nail in his own coffin on sunday which is a negative way to look at it.

()()

07 Jan 2011 00:03:57
Roy is going nowhere. NESV have no one lined up to replace him and have no plans to activily search for a replacement in the immediate future. So stop with this hes goin tommorrow or sunday crap. HES GOIN NOWHERE.
