hi ed, any chance of a right winger comining in i felt we lacked width and creativity from the right wing yesterday? {Ed009's Note - I am afraid that i can't see another attacking player coming in this window at all. There is a large chance we will play 4-3-3 regardless, which would explain why Kenny has focused on central midfielders as opposed to wide players. In his previous tenure he also favoured a 4-4-2 with one out and out winger, for example Barnes, and a more tucked in midfielder on the other side, in order to win the midfield battle.}

I have heard that Liverpool have made an enquiry to Dortmund about Subotic, any truth in this? {Ed009's Note - Not that I have heard of I am afraid. Dortmund want to keep their entire team together to have a fair crack at the Champions League next season. If we did wish to sign the player it would cost a considerable sum of money, and I am still not sure he would want to join.}

Hi Eds,

I'm a liverpool fan from India, and a first time poster here. This isn't a rumour, but after watching Aurelio play the way he did yesterday, I'm beginning to ask myself whether we really need another LB, or whether we can make do with him, and young Jack Robinson, and Johnson doing duty there as and when required. Aurelio is one of the most cultured full-backs I have seen, and when not injured, is definitely one of the best in England.

Also, a very good player to nurture Robinson's talent. Do you think this might come into consideration, especially keeping in mind Macca's post about how DC doesn't really rate Enrique.

Great work with the site. Addictive as hell.

Local paper in Northern Ireland called Sunday Life doing a report on yesterdays Valencia game also said in the report that Liverpool agreed a fee of £5.5 million with Newcastle last night for Jose Enrique.

my 1st time posting i want to ask u if there are going to any new signing.i hope there are our defence should be strengthned.anser this {Ed009's Note - The focus for the club at the moment is to offload those players who aren't deemed as necessary at the club any longer. This includes Jovanovic - who has left for Anderlecht on a free - as well as notable others such as Aquilani - who has interest from Milan, Fiorentina and Juventus still - and Meireles, Poulsen, N'Gog and I would suggest Cole too. These players are available for anyone at a fair price, but I imagine that whilst we will likely see an exit for N'Gog and Aquilani, Poulsen will probably stay on through lack of interest, along with Joe Cole. Meireles could stay if he resolves his wage issues.

The only players I can see coming in are a centre back and a right back. The most likely for these positions are probably Enrique, Dann and Cahill; perhaps in that order. This is predominantly based on speculation though as there has been no movement for any of them since a while back, notably our 5 million pound bid for Enrique at the start of the window. A please would not go amiss.}

Saw that Werder Bremen have revealed they will consider "serious offers" for Per Mertesacker. Is there any way that we could switch our focus from Dann to Mertesacker? I know that Arsenal is looking at Dann now.

Seems more and more likely that we'll be keeping Aquilani and losing Meireles. Whilst interest remains for Aqua the interested teams seem unlikely to meet our price, especially since he has proved our value in pre-season. Initially he was played to keep him in the shop window but has now played himself into contention to start against Sunderland. However, IF a suitable bid comes in he would still be sold. Meireles is unhappy with contractual issues and Kenny is happy to lose him. After a good first season he is likely the be attracting serious offers in the next week or so.

So you dont think he'll sign for us either then? Because with Ayala and Wilson close to being sold/loaned we need a better CB even though Soto will still be here as he's not good enough. Rumours of Cahill, what are your thoughts on that mate?

is there any truth to the stories about park chu young rejecting a transfer to rennes.saying he wants to come to liverpool ???? {Ed002's Note - I am pretty sure when he turned down Rennes he did not mention Liverpool. I am expecting Lille to drop their offer to him during the next few days which leaves Schalke with interest from Napoli and PSG seemingly having cooled.}

I thought liverpool played extremely well last night playing free flowing especially in midfield. I am coming to understand now why so many midfielders as they all work and roam freely for each other.

However, intro of lucas, just doesnt doe enough at this level?. I still dont believe this guy is good enough for where we are going This was highlighted with ever Banega introduction. That is what that position is about, dropping deep taking the ball and dictating the play at every opportunity. lucas cant do that im sorry Banega was class and we have been linked with him if Lucas does go this is the guy who will add another dimension? {Ed002's Note - I doubt Banega will be arriving at Anfield this summer.}

I understand we have had an 11 mill. offer for Miereles.
Pity we cannot get an offer like that for Aqualani.
Also there was a mention on here a few days ago that Lucas might be going. Any truth in this?
If all three went we would be looking at signing yet another midfielder surely.

Ed now chelsea have lukaku,torres,anelka,drogba,kalou and strruige.

Who could be off and do you think we could go for the player.we do need a back up 4th striker.

Red indian {Ed002's Note - I think it likely that either both or one of Anelka and Kalou will be leaving. There has been interest in Kalou from Turkey and from Germany but I think he may want to stay in England. Anelka seems to be happy to stay and run down his contract but that may simply be political positioning. There also remains the chance that DRogba could leave - Galatasaray made an approach for the player as part of a deal to take Arda Turan to Chelsea - but it remains very much in Drogba's hands what happens next season.}

The only info i have is about Enrique, Kenny wants him but Clark and Commoli do not rate him at all..

Also they have held talks with him and at the moment he wants to much money..
