It's a rumour page, it might be one that everyone knows about but nobody knows the agreed fee. It makes a difference from the constant barrage of questions at the eds or people regurgitating views.
The Kocacic rumour was started by an Ed if I remember myself, hence why it went in over drive. Sometimes deals fall at the final hurdle, one of my best friends has a contact within the club and he keeps his cards close to his chest and if he does say anything it's generally after it's been posted on here but last year he said Gotze was joining, so even blokes working for the club get it wrong.

This was during the time when the ed's were split on us either not being in for him, or that we had no chance against Chelsea/ city. Check the posts if you like. I was laughed at but just a week later everything began to unfold (and still seems to be rumbling on) . I'm certainly no macca, just managed to catch the info and shared it here. We used to do this and lose out. I appreciate negotiations etc but it's hardly like we accept anything less then the price we set for players. So yeah they've gone a bit funny and the deal is on the rocks.

In what kind of world is speaking to a players agent not effectively speaking to the player themselves? It should be black and white IMO. without permission from the club there should be no communication with players or the players agent to discuss a possible transfer under any circumstances.

It's seems apparent that VVD wants to go elsewhere (us, City or Chelsea all expresing interesting) and I find it hard to believe that we'd be stupid enough not to follow the proper process.

Southampton's Daily Echo reporting that Southampton have asked the Premier League to investigate an illegal approach for VVD by Liverpool.

Right now that is the main focus of the club, though Robertson is still a very strong option and will be moved on with if Monaco will not budge on Mendy (which seems likely).}

Hi Ed001 are we a long way apart on valuation and wage? I would be very happy to sign VVD, Salah and Mendy and conclude our incomings. I know you really like Mendy and the window is not even open yet so I will hope for the best. A massive upgrade on left back is our most important position IMO.

I think toon red has a good point. I could see sahko at Monaco and it sure would make mendy more affordable. I still see Robertson as a good option. If we could do a swap with Monaco then perhaps we could pinch both. Imo you need at least two options for each position. Then we can see the best of Milner in his preferred position. Experience really is vital in cl.

Hi ed. At the end of the season I was hoping we'd be linked with mahrez (needs to up his work rate but that is possible under klopp) siggurson and vvd. Be interesting to see siggurson in a good team. I know we're close on vvd (I hope the vvd deal doesn't fall through) have you heard anything at all about the others? Do you think siggurson could cut it at melwood?

Looks like City will go after Bertrand. Ed002 has also mentioned Bernat and both options would be much cheaper for City compared to Mendy.
Mendy though will have to force the move imo. Monaco may not budge on the asking price and after the money being set aside for VVD, I cannot see Klopp spending another 40 million on a defender.

Mendy looks like a quality player, again I'm sat in the 'he's not 4x the player of Robertson' camp, But what I don't understand is this, the two positions we absolutely need to sort out are LB (with no offence to Milner at all) and LW. If we do get Salah and VVD neither have been sorted unless Salah will play out of position, and a massive amount of money has been spent.
My question to Ed's if available is if we do get VVD, will this affect our other targets due to the amount of £££ being spent on him?

Why do people keep saying Salah will play out of position? its infuriating research the bloody players yes Salah had a great season on the RW for Roma but he has played LW constantly for Basel and for Fiorentina, Our frontline do not stick to there positions you think all of Mane goals have come down the RW him hugging that line? no he has come inside and gone down the middle while Bobby went out wide Salah would be perfect for the club on the left or if Klopp wanted he could move Mane out to the Left since he played there for Southampton and Red Bull.

Spot on, Kloppers. People are too fixated on where the players play in a front three knowing fully well that our front three interchange at will which is what the opposition defences cannot deal with. Salah can play on either side so don't get where him being "out of position" comes from.

Would love Donnarumma but getting a new goalkeeper isn't a priority. We need to get in a LB (Mendy), winger (Salah), CB (VVD) and CM (Keita) first even if it's going to cost the world. Also, Karius has barely had a proper chance and Klopp loves him, and if Migs continues to improve at his current rate, we won't need a new goalkeeper anytime soon.

First of Eds, thanks for all your hard work and effort to this page and us gossip craving users. Its very much aprreciated! This page is a necessity for us supporters, with all the rumours sourrunding a club like Liverpool in these times, to help us keep the feet on the ground.
Second. I just read that Renato Sanchez of Bayern might become available for transfer. Could he be a alternativ to Naby Keita now he seems Leipzig bound? Sure Sanchez must have been a player Klopp have been wathing, before he joined Bayern.
Third. I will be happy to see both Virgil and Salah in the door. Both are able to strength the starter, and the width of the squad. To be honest, I don't lie sleepless over the pricetags, even though it's unreal amounts, but as the Eds said, "money has ruind the game". We might just go with it, and Im not their banker. Im here to be entertained by quality football and hopefully some trophys to go with it. How many times have'nt we heard somebody say "Id rather have one quality player, than 4 mediocre players". Well there you have it. It's properly the same people whos whining over the VVD pricetag now.
FOURTH. Can we expect to see another winger or striker being brought in, or will Salah or Mane be converted to the left side?
Fifth and last off. Let's get that LB sorted. I don't see Robertson as better than Moreno, and he wants to wait through the summer to see the options. Why won't we match Mendys requests, like we do with Virgil. It seems like non-sence not to, if the lad would choose us! He is quality.

Red fuzz out of the 4 you mentioned I'd say only Alderweireld was a match for vvd. Granted Bailly looks a good signing he was very rash at times and often lucky not to get 2nd yellow on a number of occasions (the words of a few utd fans I know) Also on reading a lot of Saint's fans forums they nearly all said vvd was best C, bk they've had inc Alderweireld! Let's hope so. May I just say Ed025 has been brilliant in recent days in dealing with the negative lot and putting things into perspective.

Alderweireld is the best CB in the league imo. VVD though could be right up there as he has all the ability and tools to be the best but he needs to work on his defensive nous. Hopefully, Klopp can bring out the best in him.
