Ed what are the chances of signing gaston Ramirez because on the website it says we are the favourites and who do you think is our most likely signing in jan? {Ed002's Note - Read the other posts please.}

Ramirez's agent, Diego Triguero Heredia, was directly pressed on reports of English interest, he suggested there had been no contact. "This is the first I have heard about it." Heredia told The International Business Times UK when asked about Liverpool's interest in the Uruguayan international.

Ed2 was right then.

{Ed002's Note - Whilst I have no doubt Ramirez has been watched by the club there was always the thought that it had gone no further. But keep in mind it is only early December and things may change, but right now I suspect Ramerez will stay in Bolgna through to the summer.}

Hi Ed, what are the chances of getting Loic Remy from Marseille? Really good forward, he's got pace, trickery and is a really good finisher. I think he's good option, but he won't come cheap I guess {Ed002's Note - The chances of getting any player that there has been no interest in or approach for have to be really, really low. As of November 29, nobody had spoken with Marseille about Remy. And of course Marseille have won - go Marseille.}

How many times? Remy is not good enough {Ed002's Note - However, he would be available should Liverpool decide to make a move. Marseille are looking for a striker on loan in January (nominally to replace Andrew Ayew) but would look for a permanent solution if Remy were sold.}

how likely is the arrival of soldado in jan aftr they lost today??? {Ed002's Note - About as likely as it was before. Perhaps the summer is more likely.}

I would argue that it is more likely that Liverpool will get Soldado in January as there will be very little competition from Champions League clubs (cup tied), but also that it is more likely that Valencia would be willing to sell in the summer so they can get an auction going among as many clubs as possible. Depends how badly Soldado wants to leave I suppose, and I don't know that he does.

How likely do you think it is eds that Carroll would be sold? Just curious, if we are looking at Soldado and Muniain that suggests to me that someone will be going as four strikers is normally enough for most teams.

Ed, is there any interest in Ki Sung-Yueng of celtic? seems a good player

Vanajam {Ed001's Note - not that I know of, I certainly hope not, he is hardly lighting up the SPL.}

Ed's i have one question, is it that you always judge which players liverpool must buy according to "how well they light up their respective leagues"?? as in how good they are doing in their leagues. If thats your basis then that would mean LFC going to Ronaldo and Messi because they light up the La Liga, or Neymar coz he is doing really great.
Back to the point, i think we should target both Kayal and Ki as for me these two can certainly become awesome players. Someone like Ki is slow, yes but he is an exceptional passer, somewhat in the Alonso mould, except that he is more offensive. Kayal on the other hand is very much Mascherano type and does not venture forward alot but does spray in the passes.
Now we net the two and we might as well be looking at a good future central midfield where Kayal and Lucas are the holding mids and Ki and Hendo can scrap it out for G8's position... TO say that Ki is not good is utter rubbish, especially for a guy who is one of the first names on the Korea teamsheet... {Ed001's Note - he plays in a weak league and is not lighting it up, he plays for a poor Korea side, he is simply not top class.}

Do we have any chance of signing Shaqiri in january or in the summer? {Ed002's Note - Not in January and I would suggest doubtful for the summer. Atletico Madrid and Juventus are keen, as are Hamburg and Leverkusen. Both Manchester clubs could be tempted if he came up for sale.}

Atletico may well be in the market for a wingers as well with reyes on the way out

Evening Ed002 I know our lord and master (Ed001) thinks we may be looking at a striker from the Spanish league but he hasn't suggested a name or even a club. Would you dare to take a guess?

Chris in Tamworth {Ed002's Note - You should ask him Chris. I cannot think of anyone aside from Muniain that are available and Liverpool could have an interest in - although not at the current asking price.}

He hinted towards Munian Chris, when i said i'd like Llorente or Munian.
Would be a good signing, can you imagine the hate he'll get if he doesn't score 20 goals in 3 games.

Or 5 in 20 games? I would really love Munian to sign but I believe someone with strength who can finish is the necessity. Someone like Drogba or someone like Soldado.

Hi Ed, i have looked at lots of sites and all of them are saying that Liverpool FC are the favourites to sign Gaston Ramirez (the new kaka). Gaston Ramirez is the new C.Ronaldo, Lucas (Sao Paulo) is the new Kaka and we would need to sell Carrol before we could get Torres so there is a 1% chance of that happening.

hey eds great site was their any weight in the rumours linking boudebouz to liverpool ? {Ed002's Note - Boudebouz has had a good season for Sochaux. St-Etienne wanted the player to replace Dmitri Payet and Marseille, Lyon and Newcastle showed some interest over the summer and Real Betis have made recent enquiries. There was previous interest from Spurs and Liverpool and certainly both made tentative enquiries. This latest news of Liverpool interest could of course be simply a recycled story from the summer, but it is not beyond the realms of possibility, but I doubt he will be available in January - perhaps one for the summer.}

Gaston ramirez ...CAM = 12million
Eduardo vargas ...ST = 15million
Fabian frei ...LW/RW = 9million

would be more than happy with these three!

I really want Ramirez, but I think his price tag is more than 12m, perheps 16-19m, he did sign a new contract recently

And Vargas? Does anybody really know how good he is? lol

Ramirez is a playmaker like Mata who plays either on the wing or as an CAM but has more trickery and not as good a goalscoring record as Mata. He has a buyout clause in his contract of about 18million euro

Do any of the Edds know if there is a particular striker we are looking at conserned that none of are strikers are finding the net lately?
Cheers {Ed001's Note - Luuk De Jong, Lukas Podolski and Iker Munain are all of interest, I am sure there are others we are also looking at too, but finding out for sure who is difficult until some kind of talks take place between clubs.}

Alex. {Ed001's Note - only that he was offered to numerous clubs, including us, for a fee of 40m Euros. I doubt we will pay that much, but our interest has certainly not died.}

Ed, how much money we looking at to get him and do we stand a good chance of getting him?

BigD {Ed001's Note - I think I mentioned above how much the asking price is! I doubt we will match that asking price for a kid who is probably not ready to be a first team regular. It will come down to Bilbao lowering their asking price, I doubt that will happen before the summer.}

Wot i meant was every club puts a silly price on there players which 90% of the time gets negotiated, so that is why i asked how much we looking at ... he will not cost the 40m euros they want i fink it will be somewhere around the £18 - £25m mark, which ant a bad price for him.

BigD {Ed001's Note - but they need over 40m Euros to enable them to keep hold of Llorente and Martinez, which is why they are selling Munain in the first place.}

Ok i didnt know that FACT ed001, however i think its abit ambitiuos to ask for £34m GBP.

BIgD {Ed001's Note - because the club operates at a loss and they need money to keep the wolves from the door. They don't want to lose Llorente and Martinez, they are building the side around them and so are prepared to let other players go to raise the funds needed.}

Are they willing to sell Ander as well? {Ed002's Note - I can't imagine him leaving so it probably makes no difference.}

I was speaking to a friend I no its sounds like a load of rubbish but my friends source works for the club an he informs me that moussa sissoko an soldado are liverpools main targets and both have been extensively scouted a long with a few others at Valencia I don't no what the eds av heard regarding these issues.

I want moussa ,but i don't want soldado...the best striker for us is de long or eduardo vagas

Although I think de Jong is a decent player he lacks pace and hes not the best finisher whereas soldado is deadly in an around the box an has a bit of pace aswell 1 think we lack

liverpool to make a £9m bid for diego perotti of sevilla in january.

I'd also like to have Diego Ribas in january to help bolster our attacking play. The player is in terrific form for athletico right now.
