Been surpassed in the squad by a couple of others, and bringing in Grujic and whoever else says its game over here for him.

I don´t think Rossiter has been surpassed by anyone, he just has not had a chance. Was in front of Chirivella, Branagan and Stewart before his injury and has not played since. I understand there has been a problem with the new contract offered him. He should have been offered at least the same as Chirvella and Branagan. Maybe he was?

I was under the same impression, he was rated highly and getting squad time before the injury. If he moves to Rangers for me that is a waste - can't see much chance of coming back into top level in England from there. Might have been better going lower leagues here.

Lond, y woukd gg to Rangers be a waste? He could be wasting away staying here. Rangers will provide him playing time he needs, the level of football maybe div1 championship level which is decent enuf for him and not forgetting he will surely get european football experience.

I was thinking more about the fact what I've seen is he has a lot of potential and could be playing premiership level by early 20s but moving to Rangers will put him out of a site to a lot of clubs. If the likes of Liverpool were still heavily scouting Scottish football I'd say it'd work but no one is really buying from there now.

Hi eds, reading about Rossiter maybe leaving this summer. Can you shed any light on his situation? I thought he was one of our better prospects.

Believable0 Unbelievable10

{Ed002's Note - There is interest from Rangers - that is all I can say really. I suspect a number of the "prospects" will be moved on by Klopp. It is a very large squad.}

05 May 2016 09:43:32
Eds, Denis Praet was heavily linked to us both last summer and again after JK arrived. One of you said Klopp was keen on the player, so do you know if the interest still remains and are we likely to pursue him this summer?

Believable1 Unbelievable8

{Ed002's Note - Interest in Anderlecht's Dennis Praet has run hold and cold for a while and the likes of Ajax, Southampton, Newcastle, Hoffenheim and Dynamo Moscow have moved on in the past year. Both Sevilla and Valencia had offers rejected in the summer whilst Aston Villa were also being kept informed by Anderlecht of any approaches for the player, but there is no way the player will want to move there and they won't have that sort of money to spend on one player. Juventus were represented at a couple of games but were, I understand, unconvinced by the player - but I suspect interest will continue knowing that his value might well tumble as his contract is running down. Fiorentina has had several meetings with representatives of the player and Anderlecht - and were seemingly getting to the point where an agreement over a January transfer could be reached but interest in another player has given them an unexpected twist to deal with and they are now out of the picture. Arsenal has again looked at him in recent months, once they knew that there could be a January bid from elsewhere, but I am not aware of them taking it any further. I understand that Liverpool do remain interested in the Praet, and it is a player Klipperty would like. Praet may well provide more versatility than others as he has the ability to play as a winger as well. Everton (again), Bayer Leverkusen, Sevilla (again) and Borussia Dortmund have also been showing recent interest with Sevilla having met with his representatives and Anderlecht .}
