Guardian reporting we are looking to end manquillo's loan spell early, no surprise really

Especially after we signed Clyne and have got Wisdom back from loan, it makes perfect sense to me.

couldn't end it quick enough :) he's awful anyway

Makes much more sense than ever signing him in the first place.

Another pointless and senseless piece of business by BR

I really don't think you can say he's awful. He didn't actually do a lot wrong whenever he played and deserved more games imo, especially towards the end of the season. Our defence probably would've been a bit less terrible with him in it.

"Liverpool have signed midfielder Elijah Dixon-Bonner from Arsenal after he turned down a new contract at the Emirates Stadium."

another promising academy player enters the ranks

Think he'll be in the U16s this year, rather than first year Academy - same year as Okera Simmonds. We'll see Yan Dhanda, Herbie Kane, Toni Gomes and Trent Alexander-Arnold join the academy proper this month though. Lot of talent this time round.

Don't write off benteke to spurs instead

Believable8 Unbelievable8

05 Jul 2015 20:35:50
Spurs are just about pony up 11m for Toby and they have Kane & Adebayor still. Can't see them having a spare 32m around unless Tim wants a few of his old players thrown in.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - I wouldn't be so sure Spurs will get Alderweireld.}

05 Jul 2015 20:41:18
I wouldn't be so sure spurs still have Kane especially adebayor

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed030's Note - I can see Tottenham moving for Benteke should Kane be sold, just my opinion though. }

05 Jul 2015 20:45:46
Only if Kane leaves, I go with Ed30 on this. They also need to move Soldado and need to figure out on Lamela.
Can't see myself levy offering 32 mill for any player.

I posted months ago about benteke if soldado and adebayour were to leave.was told today soldado will be leaving,possibly adebayor and spurs are facing a battle to keep hold of Kane.it appears they will do everything they can to keep hold of Kane,benteke is a very possibile.a source at villa believes his opinion of lfc has differed with recent signings and may now prefer the switch to Merseyside.as things stand with lfcs stance spurs maybe his only option if wanting to move

Is Liverpool looking at moussa cissoko of new castle ?

Believable2 Unbelievable11

{Ed002's Note - Newcastle has said they have had no enquiries or offers for Moussa Sissoko at this time.}

Sorry to mention a random name ed but i was just wondering what your opinions are on Charles Aranguiz?

Personally he's a player who every time i have watched he has been near enough the best player on the pitch and seems perfectly able to play in either a more attacking role or as a deep lying midfielder.

I'm also wondering if any bigger club has shown an interest in him? In my opinion he could be the perfect alternative to Kovacic.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

{Ed002's Note - Internacionale's Charles Aranguiz was getting good reviews last season and, although tailing off a little season has attracted the attention of scouts from Europe. Bielsa has admitted that he would like to take Aranguiz to Marseille and Bayer Leverkusen have also spoken with his club but are aware a move would be difficult. It is also known that Sporting, Arsenal, Chelsea and Valencia have had the player watched in recent months. Asked about the interest of Arsenal the player did say it would be "a dream" to play for them but neither his club nor his representatives have been approached by anyone other than Marseille and Bayer Leverkusen.}

Morning Ed002

Can I just ask please, has Firmino been bought in as a replacement for Sterling or are they not linked?

Believable2 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - It is hard to see how all of the players will be used. For Sterling as a winger no - for Stirling behind a striker perhaps.}

05 Jul 2015 12:40:18
Hey ed - is the club actually looking for a replacement of Sterling as a winger? In my opinion, one is not needed - we already have Marcovic and Ibe, Lallana and Cou have been used there, and Ings and especially Origi could also be given a shot. that's more than enough players, and all with high potential if properly trained and utilised.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Not that I am aware, but it will depend also on who is sold.}

05 Jul 2015 12:56:05
I think between Coutinho, firmino and Ibe they can all fulfil the positions he played in. I'd sooner see a top quality striker come in than another winger at this time personally

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Jul 2015 13:31:24
Agree, although we don't have a vast supply of born wingers (apart from perhaps Ibe and Markovic who are both still relatively inexperienced), Firmino, Llalala, Coutinho, Origi and even Milner can also all play there and so shouldn't be a priority position IMO.

Hi Ed002
You might be able to answer the question but I will submit anyways.
who of the existing wingers would LFC consider selling or loaning? I saw some rumours suggesting Markovic loaned back to Benfica for further development. I do not see who else could be moved to make room for a Sterling replacement but maybe you have some better insight.
thanks.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Clubs do not buy replacements for players they send on loan.}

05 Jul 2015 17:55:26
I believe that Chelsea has been doing it rather successfully. That gives the team additional time to assess the player attributes and then maybe a year later sell the least impressive within the squad. if done propeely it can also be a way to make additional revenue if the player's value increase as a result of thenloan (playing time).
I can think of Salah loan and purchase of Cuadrado as an example. I believe that there many other examples.
It obviously does not always work in favor of the club that I understand.
Thanks

Salah was bought as a replacement for Mata/De Bruyne. Cuadrado was bought as replacement for Schurrle. At least get your facts right if you're going to challenge either or the Eds.
