eds just from reading the posts it sounds like pepe wants out of the club.
is there any truth to this from his/clubs side or is it more a case of one person goes pepe, they all go pepe.

Who is/was his closest friend? {Ed001's Note - Kuyt was particularly close to him.}
Do you think he could be distracted by this or homesick or something? Perhaps also contributing to his performances? {Ed001's Note - I just think he is unhappy overall, mostly I think it is because he sees the opportunity to go home and stake a claim to be Spain's number one for the World Cup.}
Pepe Reina will leave for Spain in the summer, with Atletico being the most likely destination, as Barca have other ideas for a replacement keeper via Germany.
LFC will seek a fee of around £6m as he still has 3 years left on the contract.
Begovic, Vorm and hopefully Ter Stegen will be watched in the coming months, as Liverpool look for Pepe's successor.

We will want more than £6 million for Reina.
TBH Reina has been a good servant for the club and done. Yeah he's made mistakes but if he wants to go back to Spain to claim the NO1 jersey for the world cup best of luck to him.
If he'd gone to Arsenal i'd have lost all respect for him though.

Brendan Rodgers will target a quality center back
A top winger with either munian or j Rodriguez the preferred options and a replacement. For reina. 3 young keepers from Germany are being looked. At, with one from Brazil also on the list.
Porto always ask for mega money for players so can't see Rodriguez happening

I know who the keeper from Brazil is lol. Its the national team keeper who plays for Santos and is called Raffael. You can tell when someone has played a lot of FIFA 13 to know the best young keepers in the game!.
I hope we are looking at Marc Andrew ter Stegen, could play first team but maybe not just yet but I would love to see him at LFC.
Ter stegen or rafael will be good keepers in the future no doubt. if this is true, good choices lfc.
First responder is right, Porto's transfer fee's are absolutely ridiculously high so Rodriguez will be priced above and beyond our budget I would suspect, can't see them letting him go for anything much under 30million which makes him a complete no go for us.

JD {Ed001's Note - not heard of any interest, I haven't really watched him much, but I believe he can provide cover for left back? In which case he could be a good addition, if he is good enough.}
He is a centre back. And I believe he was the captain of psg and seen as a future star for France but I think he has fallen off and maybe doesn't start too many games since psg have been spending all this cash

Brendans Rodgers will choose between to replace reina. James Rodriguez and angelo ogbonna and christian eriksen will complete the summer spending spree. Carroll, reina, skertel, coates downing will all be leaving. talks. Are ongoing to persuade. Cara to stay on for one more season.
Carra is a true pro and I think he'd only play one more season if he felt he was good enough, no matter how much they try and persuade him.

I think this very unlikely, but it would represent a pretty decent summer. I particularly like Leno myself. Makes the occasional mistake, but he's good with his feet and is a good shot stopper.
Rodriguez and Eriksen alone would be £55. Maybe one or the other. Ogbanno will be 15-18 I'd assume. Money will be available though
Ter Stegen is the best young keeper in Germany, and the kid should be looked at. I personally think we might end up with Vorm, and I imagine Huw Jenkins will ask for mega money for him also. Good keeper but not great, and also injury prone.
Absolute tosh! james rodriguez? porto want 40m for him. if he goes anywhere he'll go to united or real madrid. we can't compete for these kind of transfers. haven't you been paying attention recently?

Hope we can sell downing and Enrique for some value they are playing ok and if they stay good till the summer it will help, then bring in arda turan and jovetic who will not have to be constantly driven to play well, Happy days top 4 ihope this year and if not confident we will get next year.

This is ridiculous. Why would we want Dawson when he can't even get a game at Spurs, for a player who last season was our player of the season and we were offered double that money for? Why would we sell a top rated keeper who is contracted for a number of years for less than a keeper who is actively being sold? Why would Munich sell Gomez for £10m when he is one of the worlds highest rated finishers and could easily go for £15-20, probably more? Carroll out for £15m is the only deal there that makes any sense, and that's only because WH have a deal for £17m in place for him and we know Newcastle want him back
Mario gomez 17m and ben arfa plus cash ;p
Begovic and carrol only ones which sort of make sense.

Ive heard this Simon Mignolet rumour to Liverpool. he is really highly rated and part of a superb crop of young belgian talent. Should also cost less than what we should recieve for reina. Shaggymac

Liverpool are set for a huge turn over of players. reina will be one of the first leaving lpool at the end of season. pool are seeking around 20mill for him, after a poor season 10mill looks more likely unless pool can set clubs into a bidding frenzie.
Bayer Leverkusen keeper Bernd Leno is being watched by half a dozen prem clubs with lpool leading the way.

I think he's gone to Real Madrid. I think loan till end of the season then possibly a permanent deal. Am I right eds? {Ed001's Note - it is actually Real Madrid's reserve team he has joined on loan, but yes.}

Just heard that we are looking at a CB from Bayer Leverkusen due to our relationship with Sami. He would rather not lose the player but with us and the player keen on the move Sami would rather see him come to us than go elsewhere.
Only problem is I don't know who the player is.
Have any of the Eds heard similar?

Forget begovic as pepes potential replacement he's old trafford bound. It will however be a keeper with pl experience, put your money on mignolet of sunderland. Rodgers is a known admirer. Whitebear.

Begovic is not going to United, they are perfectly happy with the performance of both of their keepers who challenge for the first team spot who are bright, young and promising.

Been told that we want Kelly on the same contract as sterling. Who I have been told is on a basic but with major add ons one of which is 10 grand extra if he plays! These owners are no mugs and if its true and I'm kind of liking their no nonse approach to decent but squad players wage demands. Ala like the kuyt's and maxi's of this world

Kelly is not a squad player, he will be playing wingback when fit. in that sense, it's good we get him on that contract as every week he's out injured we save £10,000. and he'll be injured a lot

Kellys a good player but will be on the bench when both johnson and enrique are fit.

Like the new approach too but let's not besmirch Maxi and Dirk. Dirk earned his contract via service and Maxi's was made up due to no transfer fees. We may still need to attract experienced quality in the future to balance our side so let's not pretend that doesn't come at a cost :)
To be fair to Maxi too, I think he could of got more opportunities to start. Thought he was excellent last season whenever he started.

Ed, 001 is it true we got a bid of almost 20 million for Martin skrtel in the summer and turned it down?
If so which club offered the amount and is there still any interest in him from other clubs?
Any chance of Dede or Sakho moving to Liverpool in the summer? {Ed001's Note - there was enquiries, City amongst them, but we weren't interested in selling then. It seemed the right thing to do at the time, to hold onto him for one more year, as we needed to strengthen other areas, makes no sense to weaken another one as well. I don't know what the chances of them moving are in 4 months time, a lot can happen between then and now.}
Skrtel is a quality defender.
So ask yourselves this if we sell him for let's say £15m, who can we get in with that price, wages, same quality and international experience as him.

I think we should keep him. He is having a little off period but I feel he will be Quality again. I feel we sould rather move on Coates and bring in someone to challenge Skrtel for the CB spot. Someone like Howedes, Dede, Ogbonna etc.
I feel we really don't need a young 20 yr old CB as we have enough coming through our ranks.
Secondly, any chance of a CDM back-up in the summer? {Ed001's Note - personally I would only let him leave if we can replace him first, with a pacier defender.}
They should buy him imo. he has given them 2 points in 2 games.
Skrtle is a quality defender, we need to keep him.

Hey ed's quick question, regarding the pacheco loan do you think Liverpool have decided to give him one more shot or is he all out of luck? Just wondering if this loan could possibly be with a move to sell him or possibly give him that last shot to impress. {Ed001's Note - it really depends on him, if he is outstanding while out on loan, then he will force the club to consider him. If he carries on drifting through his career, then he will be on his way as soon as someone will take him.}
