Football Italia reporting that we have made an offer for Del Piero.

Mighty reds

Well we haven't, so there you go.

E

Hes goin to sign for sydney tomorrow
lurganite

He is coming to sydney fc!

This is getting absolutely stupid, for gods sake hes 38 years old , if all these players are still available. Doesn't that tell you something, there not good enough, all i can say is thank god Owen has signed for stoke

Deano95

No they aren't. They are reporting that Sydney FC are confident that he will join them, after meeting with his brother who is his agent. Stop coming on here with lies trying to wind up the fans. Jaffer 81

Why pay for a 37 year old no fast enough why dont we bring heskey back as well get tommo back in defence bruce back in the nets and roy evans back as manager?

Alessandro Del Piero has reportedly rejected an offer from Southampton to move to Sydney FC where he will become the highest-paid player in A-League history. After narrowing down his shortlist to the two clubs, the Italian is expected to confirm his decision at a press conference in Turin on Wednesday

We havnt hes off to sydney end of

Not a chnce he is to old

37 years old! may as well get fowler back.

Gazzetta dello sport saying Del Piero has signed for Sydney FC. He should sign tomorrow.

Surely this is garbage eds? {Ed063's Note - it is garbage}

Actually I too have heard a rumour that lfc have asked del piero to hold fire from signing and wait for their offer first. Hence del piero will not be signing for Sydney FC yet until he sees lfc's offer. In fact the reason why he didn't want to join Southampton is because he sees it as a step down from juventus, however lfc would be of interest to him. A source close to del piero has allegedly said the following:

"Del Piero originally ruled out a move to the Premier League as only Southampton were interested and he didn't want to jump from Juventus to the Saints," he said.

"Then Sydney FC came in and started discussing a deal with him as Del Piero wanted a new challenge outside of top-level football.

"At the last minute Liverpool came in and said 'don't sign a deal yet as we are interested'.

"The situation currently is that he will not sign for Sydney FC whilst he is waiting on an offer from Liverpool."

Sounds unbelievable but anythings possible. And let's be honest, just cos he is 37 doesn't mean he can't score goals, look at Paul scholes, Ryan giggs, even teddy sharingham was banging them in at 40.

Biggy balls YNWA

After the Carroll debacle, we go from the insane to the utterly ridiculous.

Del Piero was, I reiterate WAS, a good player, an outstanding player to be honest but the bloke is finished.

He could no longer handle the pace of Serie A and out of respect to Juventus, didn't want to play for another Italian team (assuming any even inquired), so he "retired".

Sydney FC inquired as to there being any chance that he might come out of "retirement" and become their "marquee" signing? A decent pay day, nice place to live for 12 months, good weather, and a level and pace of Football that he just might still be able to handle.

We need a striker - a goal scorer, not a winger, and certainly not a player whose legs pure and simply couldn't handle the pace and speed of the Premiership - he'd probably struggle to last 20 minutes, and still want £50,000 for the pleasure.

Having an experienced head to bring off the bench and play 20 mins is not a silly idea I would have thought. He may be 37, but it would help us get through to the next transfer window.

Del piero is and always will be class! With a footballing brain like his he doesn't need pace just positioning awareness

He is still class

Sinama Pingolle is coming back to liverpool Ed, he is my sisters boyfriend and he told me he is going to play for liverpool again, please post this Ed as it is a fact not rumour
RedRob

How is he coming back, isn,t he contracted to a club?

It looks like he is going to Rostov in Russia

Sinama Pingolle refuses to sign, unless his cousin Anthony Le Tallec signs as well

LOL, he is your sisters boy friend? you could not have told a worse lie

If he is your sister boyfreind what is is girlfreinds name? i think ur full of pancakes

Yeah. no....

So whos your sister then ? as last time i checked she was a only child

Is it balls

Your sister must be attractive- can I ring her?

It is felt that Connor Coady has been deemed not good enough. He has been told to find another club. I believe he will be heading to Bury.

Another couple of players still trying to find out who have been heard slagging off BR for allowing Carroll to leave will also be allowed to leave the club.

Things as you can imagine are not great at the club behind the scenes.

Redfish

Thought he played quite well yesterday. Heard his attitude stinks and he a big mouth

I rate coady, whether or not he is Liverpool quality remains to be seen but i like the lad. If BR tried loaning him to a championship team maybe it would be a positive move. AC should of stayed. I wouldn't of even considered selling. Jamie

If so then Roddon needs to gooooo asap.

if Coady isn't good enough then he sure isn't. The u21's two in the middle is the only thing that killed us against city yesterday.

Joao, Adorjan and Pelosi needs to be in the middle.

..........................Ngoo..........................
......Yesil............Adorjan...........Suso......
..............Pelosi...............Joao................
Smith.......Sokolic........Sama......Wisdom
.........................Gulacsi.........................

As Lenin used to say - "Just as you can't have an omelette without breaking eggs, you can't have a revolution without breaking heads". Shankly got rid of two dozen players in roughly his first year. Didn't do him or Liverpool any harm at all. RED LENIN

I've heared he's a sound lad with a good attitude.

DaveyBootle

If his attitude stinks then why is he captain, ahead of wisdom? Sounds like tripe to me

Coady is awful. He is just as bad as Spearing.

The two players will probably be Stevie and Luis. It will make Rodgers job much easier getting us relegated. " In Brendon we trust?" I would sooner trust a scorpion in my boxers!!

"Another couple of players still trying to find out who have been heard slagging off BR for allowing Carroll to leave will also be allowed to leave the club."

Doesn't even make sense

Don't know where your getting ur info from, but a work colleague of mine who is Conor uncle has told me he is going to derby on loan

I agree with the comment about roddan, he's too slow, coady thinks he's jamie carragher, shouting all the time, and he only looks a good player in glimpses or the last minute, listen if rodolfo thinks he has to let players go, well he's the top coach and we r only fans! In rodolfo we trust! And in (we trust! Y..N..W..A

Extremely good work there Ed! Great video to translate a very important message to the fans.

100% Cotton

Great vids, well done. I for one am not downbeat. Who ever thought we would be winning all 3 opening games to the season is mad. Arsenal are always a bogey side of ours, Man City are the Champions and West Brom are playing out of their skin at the moment. It's going to take time and patience.

MarkB.

Which t***s have ticked unbelieveable made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up.

Its been 3 games how can u judge positively or negatively one way or the other?

What instruments did you use on the music track? Also very professional camera work.

Did you really do all that yourself? {Ed019's Note - Yes, The music is an instrumental by maybeshewill and the cameras are mostly from LFCTV }

owen has agreed terms with stoke city, confirmed by espn. Thats that!

Thanks Stoke , lucky escape there!!!

Well thank god for that
Eam

More fool them really. I heard that he tore his hamstring getting up from the chair after signing the contract and will be out for 6 Months.

Brilliant news.

Keep that thought when we are still in the bottom half of the league and Owen has scored 10 goals for Stoke.

That's great! Singred

I'll be surprised if Owen plays 10 games for Stoke without a major injury never mind him scoring 10 goals.

The Plank

What you need to consider is that we should never bite off you own nose to spite you face...think thats the saying ....we shoud use him just like he did to us in the past and if he gets us out of the rubbish then end of season we dump him........I can really see him scoring goals for Stoke ...and like hindsight ...i bet a few will be wishing we had signed him...........anyways what the issue with playing for the Mancs....we signed Ince...i'm sure that was far worse....Ike rafa you should never hold a grudge it always comes back to bight you ...ask RAFA......he had some issues with Alonso not playing in Juve macth so he tried to sell him and what happened he f**ked him off and he left ...best player we ever had and should not lost him......so everyone grow up ...I for one would not support Owen but if he scored goals I would be happy as long as we won.

Thank god for that, that would of been another mistake

"we should never bite off you own nose to spite you face" I'd like to see you do that... Singred

HOPEFULLY THATS TRUE!!

Why would Stoke sign him? I heard he is out for the season after trapping his finger in the transfer window

Aaron

Thank god for that

Good !!!!!

ANFIELDPETE

PS - Doubt if this will be published.... {Ed001's Note - yep, putting that imbecilic postscript guaranteed I deleted it.}

Go on say it 'thats another one we've missed' lol

Owen score 10 goals..he wont play 10 minutes wee judas ****

Thank f""k we re not desperate much

10 goals in 3 games!

Tony Evans reckons we had a deal in place with chelsea for sturridge for a loan then permant transfer but rodgers pulled the plug on it last mintue.

any truth in that ? {Ed002's Note - No. I have explained the situation with Sturridge already.}

Has Tony Evans ever been right about anything LFC?

He is sh!t anyway

Tony Evans thinks he knows a lot more than Tony Evans knows. Likewise his mini-me Tony "yesterday's news" Barrett.

When as Tony Evans got anything right. Remember the Kenny Huang take over.

Every1 getting in a fuss and a huff because there pooing them self's over a striker just to sit on the bench,we have got loads of good kids there who needs another striker!

Been told there is trouble at mill by a very good scource.
A couple of the Senior players,Gerrard being one, are already questioning the team set up and players not knowing were they are supposed to be playing.
Arguments in the dressing room after the Arsenal game led to Rodgers talking about bringing in someone like Owen.
The owners wont sanction any deals at all which has further annoyed some of the senior players.
Carragher is pushing for them to sign Owen but it has fell on deaf ears.
Gerrard in particular is questioning what he is supposed to be doing in the set up that Rodgers is organising.
His body language against Arsenal said it all.
Gerrard also wants them to sign Owen or Anelka if possible as he is still big mates with Anelka and if he became free from his obligations in China feels confident that Anelka would join us.
Once again the owners have said no to that as well.
Pongolle may be possible but only because of his age which seems a crazy criteria when we are in this position.
See what develops over the next couple of days.

Brendan is manager if Gerrard's not happy then he can leave. No one is bigger than the club.

I think the owners have to realise that all their words about building for tomorrow are meaningless unless we buy for the here and now, they don't want a quick fix, but that is exactly what has been needed. If we don't, there will be no tomorrow. We arent just a club in decline, we have declined. Any more of a slip and we will be sliding into the Championship. What, we are a big club so we cant get relegated? Our squad is too good to get relegated¦? Look again. I don't want us to be a City or Chelsea and a lot of what FSG say is common sense, but they have to realise that we need that quick injection to turn things around we don't have to spend big, but we do need to spend wisely (whether that is big or not). We spend £15-£20m on the likes of henderson and Downing, Utd spend £25m on Van Persie “ who has done the better business?

And please, don't waste telling me to get behind my team and give things time. I am behind my team 110% which is why I am so concerned that we are even worse off (and worse) than we were last year. We don't all have to be naively optimistic.

Gerrard is captain no one is biggger than the club if rogers is upsetting senior players then he should leave

What a load of cobblers

If Brendan is a Manager he should manage and coach the team rather then playing a stooge and a liquidator for the owners. I presume he is too busy writing 180 page dossiers explaining the below par performances.

Methinks Gerrard and Carragher have too much to say !!

Pure made up trash, shame on you.

Utter bull dust, Gerrard's poor performances have not been because he doesn't know where to play, suarez trying to be too smart infront of goal, reina giving away goals, those are individual problems, not poor team selection or tactics,

Gerrard is far more important to the club than Rodgers is at this moment in time, time will tell if the roles are reversed.
Those who say Gerrard should leave if he doesnt like it are presumably those who go in to work every day and doff their cap to the boss grateful that they have a job.
If this is true then Gerrard has every right to complain in my opinion.
Blind faith has never won anything.

I've a feeling that come Jan we will be saying words like Rats, and sinking ships....

Dublad

We're you that bored over Lunch?

Lets just hope that things improve on the field. i believe in rogers and every single player that wears our shirt
p.s i really miss the rafa days

Methinks It's back to the same two having too much to say, as in the Rafa situation !! Nearly19

If this is true the captaincy should be stripped from Gerrard and Carragher. They must lead by example and must be brought into line for the good of the club. I stress only if this is true which i doubt

How quickly gossip is accepted as fact. O, how I long for a good old-ashioned airport sighting.

And you heard this where exactly. Were you in the dressing room on Sunday? I doubt it.

Absolutely no one would have the knowledge & detail that you have described, let alone pass it on to you to put up on a website. Utterly rubbish.

Get a grip the lot of you. It's 3 games into the season. As for the quick fix argument, they tried that with Dalglish/Camolli and that went really well didn't it. They bought lesser quality players and paid over the odds for them and left us yet again in a stinking financial hole which we are again having to sort out. Rodgers will get it right as will FSG just have some patience for once in your lives. As far as Gerrard is concerned, seeing as he has already apologised on the club website once already this season for his all to apparent mistakes I suspect that most of this post is complet garbage.

Gerrard and Carragher have every right to have their say.Better them than some persons from never never land or wherever their from who don't even go the game passing comment on who we should and shouldnt buy based on who they have played for before.
Proper Liverpool fans care about only one thing, winning matches and therefore winning trophies and if we can do that without Owen then great but if we can do it with Owen then that's great as well.
Some sort of hypocritical principled argument about Owen or anyone else isn't going to win games, neither is sticking to a game plan at all costs when you havent got the players in your squad to carry it off.

Absolute rubish. gerrard needs to start playing football. carra needs to retire, he is slower than the corner post. those two have ruled the club for too long, time they shut up and delivered or left.
safa

What a load of bullsh!t

Don't know how you would know this but I would certainly hope senior players do have a say - they pull on the shirt and give their all so they have every right to want to improve things and give their opinion. We all have plenty to say from our armchairs... I expect BR values the opinions of his senior players.

Does anyone listen to SG and JC anymore. Weren't they pushing for Curbishley for manager a few years back and who could forget rent a quote Carra's Joe Cole is already a God in Liverpool speech. Yeh F*ckin Buddah.
Rodgers needs show them who's (3rd choice) boss

Buzz from the Melvins

DROP GERRARD

I agree with some posters her regarding SG & JC. I have said for sometime that they hold too much influence in off field matters, suggesting players to the manager, is bang out of order, their role is on the pitch, its what they are paid to do, if SG paid a little more attention to his own game and how he can benefit the team better, we might be in a better position now, after 3 games and trying to adapt to a new team Joe Allen is already head n shoulders above SG in his performances so far, SG for the captain for me lately has been making too many errors on the field, he takes all free kicks in offensive positions when we have others who are equally up to the task, and why or why does he insist on taking all the corners, he is over 6ft tall, he should be in the box where he could be more effective, he is not getting involved as much IMO, I appreciate he is not getting any younger, but he needs to be more of an influence on his team on the pitch than what he is at present, JJS is starting to show promise in midfield and you would wonder if a few games without SG on the pitch would bring better results, it most certainly couldnt be any worse than the results we have had so far, I understand we are a work in progress and I want BR to succeed as I liked how he had Swansea playing last season, as for the players opinions, let your feet do the talking lads and let the manager and scouts find the talent to get us out of this mess we are in at present.
Limerick Red

Anyone talking about relegation needs to have a long hard think about the nonsense that they are coming out with. The negativity is disgraceful and completely over the top.

Everton have been on the decline for nearly 30 years. They get by in the top flight. Some years better than other and even finished above us a couple of times!

Look at our squad. True, we haven't signed RVP. But it is full of decent players worthy of top 6 finish.

From the starting 11 on Sunday against arsenal:

1 spain international with 26 caps
1 Denmark international with 50 caps
1 solvakia international with 54 caps
1 English internatioanl with 40 caps
1 welsh international with 9 caps
1 england international with 96 caps
1 Turkish international with 31 caps
1 Uruguayan international with 54 caps
1 Italian international with 1 cap
1 17 yr old who has represented England at U16, U17, U19 with a fantastic future

On the bench:

Henderson, Downing, Carragher and Kelly have all represented England at senior level. Shelvey will get his turn.
Coates has 9 caps for Uruguay.

Seriously, how many other teams have that level of players? Excluding Gerrard, all those in the starting 11 have 5 or more years left playing at international level.

BR just needs to get them working and to work out where the goals are going to come from. On Sunday, we had far more shots that arsenal so perhaps those players taking the shots need to be a bit more clinical. Hence Daniel Agger's comments today.

BR should give thanks to whoever that he has Carra and Gerrard in his team. They live for LFC and in the future they will win a title as manager and coach. YNWA
AKLFC

Gerrard is an incon, but he has been hiding behind that fact for too long. He has every right to be critical, but as captain he also has responsibility to work thins sout with BR and to lead by example on the pitch. if he is not willing to do that, then he should be dropped.

Everyone just needs to calm down, it is only 3 matches into the season and two of those have been against teams that finished in the top 4 last year. Once we cut out the indiviual mistakes we will start to collect the points

Chris M

If this rumour is true, I think Gerrard had carried the whole club on his back for too long and thinks too much about the club, he should think a bit about himself at times. As a captain, he should only concern himself with matters on the pitch and report any discord in the dressing room to BR. Anything off the pitch, there is BR, his backroom staffs and the management team.

If Stevie G is a god, he might as well do some miracles soon. He was poor against Arsenal, giving ball away too easy. Liverpool´s problem is that they are still living in the past, glory days are over. It´s time to start working and get some new blood in team. Stevie should be playing as dm or backup player, Allen and Sahin should be attacking mid. At least they have a working ethics and can pass the ball. Sorry to say but Stevie and Carra are both past their prime. It doesn´t take anything from them thou.

Before any players start criticising the manager and tactics they need to take a hard long look in the mirror and see if they have done their best on that day, not many can say they did against Arsenal.

I have heard this excuse of not knowing where the manager wants them to play under several managers, top players should be able to adjust.

No one is bigger than the club and if the players really care about LFC it's time to shut up and get their heads down and show the fans what they can do and help get the club out of the current predicament.

Diggler

Have my doubts if this is true but wouldn't be surprised to see turmoil with the way things are going (front office and on the pitch)

Exactly what i feared will happen! gerrard coming out and talking down the manager. he did before with hodgeson, rafa and i knew he would do it again!

The trouble is Gerrard has had too much say in the past in the clubs/managers affairs! I love Gerrard as much as the next Liverpool fan but he's a spent force and we need to plan for his retirement.

Bottom line is that FSG are preparing for sale of LFC. The reason why they won't mortgage club is they want to maximise profits from future potential sale. David Conn wrote really good article a while back stating that they do not want to invest anymore money into LFC As far as I am concerned their pathetic failure to land a striker to replace Carrol shows how bad the club is being run. Things will have to get worse before they get better. FSG OUT!!

The worrying thing is that we didn't really look like we were playing with a clue. Not really tiki taka, those shots into the box needed AC on the end of them. Couldn't cope with Arsenals quick counter attacks. Passing back to Reina nearly cost a few more goals, other teams will be able to poach if the pattern continues.

Don't know if this post has any truth to it, but I do think it is possible. SG et al must lead by example on and off the pitch. He looked miserable on the pitch, how are the other players meant to follow that lead? Where is the fight?

Last season the problem was not letting goals in, rather just not scoring any. Just when AC looked like he was shaping up, they loan him out without another option unless they see Sterling coming through as the solution.

A lot of good effort, but no definite pattern of play apparent. {Ed001's Note - have any of you whinging about Carroll going ever actually seen him play for us? The thing that used to annoy everyone, was that he made no effort to get on the end of anything that wasn't pinpoint to him in the box. He was static, immobile and pretty much useless in terms of getting on the end of 'those shots into the box' that you suggest so needs him!}

To the knob that thinks relegation for LFC is impossible and based on the premise that Everton has survived in the EPL for 30 years despite being in a constant state of decline... do you remember what happened to Newcastle a couple of seasons ago?

That's the problem with LFC fans: oblivious to the current reality of the EPL and our club and still living on our past glories.

Time to give your head a shake.

Thank-you ED001 for telling it like it is...Carroll was a complete and utter failure! It boggles the mind that people are mourning his departure. It makes no sense.

O.K. so, FSG blew it by not signing a striker during the window but, even if we had kept Carroll, are you really saying that we would be any better off? We would have posted exactly the same results and Carroll would have done exactly what he did during his tenure with Liverpool...

He's gone...and I for one am happy to see the back of him because he was never going to live up to the lofty goals people on here had set for him.

Thank-you KD for the likes of Carroll, Adam and Henderson.

The person who says everton have been in decline for 30 years... they have no budget to spend but have steadily scouted and brought in the right players over a long term period which has resulted in a pretty solid team. you have gone to say how awesome the team is with internationals having however many caps each... pretty much every epl team can say the same. man utd, man city, chelsea, arsenal, newcastle, spurs, the list goes on, so dont assume international players automatically means no threat of relegation. Relegation is a very real threat this year! unless br can cobble something together to get to the jan transfer window without any serious damage being done, then it could be a "touching cloth" scenario at the end of the season. yes there are aspects of the team with great promise, but as an all-round team it looks to me to be a very worrying situation. Finally, for br to be a success with his free flowing passing game, certain players need to stop glory hunting and going for goals on their own. invariably it doesnt work. scoring one brilliant goal doesnt make up for the loss of 7-8 potential goals through teamwork!

To the person who politely called me a knob - get a grip! Where did I say it was impossible? Stop making up stuff! The current reality is that Liverpool are destined for a top 10 finish. Definitely not living on past glories mate!

Perhaps if you had a brain you'd follow what I meant. Just because we're not top 4 and showing signs of failing to come close again doesn't mean that we need to worry about relegation. Everton have successfully stayed in the top flight the best part of 30 years after falling from their former glory. A fall doesn't mean relegation like some of you seem to be over concerned with.

My point, which of course you've missed, is that there is far too more negativity being posted on here. Are you going to be so negative next time you are at Anfield? What will that do the the moral of the players? Support the team. Don't even think about relegation - at least not until January! It's extremely unlikely.

To the person who responded to my internationals comment. I didn't say that the team was "awesome"...what's wrong with you? Again someone saying I said something I didn't! I notice that you listed the top teams having internationals first...does the list really go on? What about Stoke, Everton and Swansea?

My point was that we've got a squad more than capable of top half of the table. It's not ideal but that's the reality of the situation. The sending off of Agger against WBA caused problems in that game, Skrtel's mistake meant that we didn't take 3 points from Man City and against Arsenal, we should have taken an early lead. The Skrtel mistake against City was because due lack of experience of the passing style or BR perhaps accepting that sometimes you have to just boot it! And, as we know, we're not clinical enough in front of goal. In our 3 games we've had 54 shots, 13 on target and 2 goals. This compares to our opposition having 38 shots, 10 on target and 6 goals (excluded penatly for WBA). Last seasons problem remains even though our style/formation has changed. That's the major problem needed resolved I and I am sure you will agree with that. Like most of us, BR knows this and I'm sure he's working on it.

I'll tell you want I find most amusing here though. Reading through comments on the Daily Mail website and similar many of the Liverpool haters are talking about Liverpool being a mid-table team and laughing at it. But here, where we're all LFC fans apart from the trolls, some of you are actually positioning Liverpool below that of the haters! Unbelievable!

Florent Sinama Pongolle has been approached by representatives of LFC over a 2 year deal worth 1.5mil. He's seen as a viable option due to his age, and pace, and potential resale value. He is expected to make a decision on his future very soon. Although there is interest from Swansea City and West Ham to.

Brent

Allez Allez, Allez Allez,sinama Pongolle.
Tommy.

He was a flop last time, why would we want him back?

LoR

Sounds about liverpools standard of player! ha
Trebbs99

I actually wouldn't mind if this happened! He has had a few shining moments in his career and maybe Brendan can get the best out of him. Certainly good to have on the bench for free at only 27!

Rather him then Owen, he's a Champions league winner and still young

Jesus Christ we're sinking low, the next name I'm guessing we'll be linked with is sean dundee

Pegleg

What a load of bull... have you just reworded the Owen - Stoke rumour for Pongolle... No way he is signing!

Sinister Red

Full French international .............

1.5 m over 2 years seems quite low, Im sure he was on more before he left us

He is useless mate

Haaahaha hope so

And then there's Emile Heskey!! No I'd sooner jump in the Mersey wired to a bus than have some of the names being mentioned in sheer desperation by some people.

The Plank

You must be joking

Beggar's ca'nt be choosers!! Nearly19

48 goals in a career that started in 2001 ?

SSN reporting Owen will reveal where he will be playing tomorrow... whats the chances Eds that it'll be Liverpool? Cheers.

Gibzkit. {Ed002's Note - I have no idea if Liverpool has shown interest. Stoke and Sunderland certainly have.}

A small chance of it being Liverpool. Most likely stoke city

04 Sep 2012 10:40:06
Are there any rumours of players heading on loan to the Championship?

Pacheco, Wilson, Suso, Coady Flanagan, Robinson?

Surely they could use some game time.

Too late now, wait and see in Jan. {Ed002's Note - They can still move to lower leagues.}

I don't see why we'd loan out Robinson as he is a direct backup for Enrique at LB, with Kelly covering Johnson at RB.
Wilson also provides good cover for Agger and Skrtel with Carragher slowly fading.
I also think Pacheco and Suso should have a serious case for first team football considering our lack of attacking options at the moment.

Pacheco should be kept as a back up as attacking options are short.

We need all the players we have mate

Loan? you've just named half the team to play sunderland!

Wilson can go, looks like he needs a good feed of potatoes and to man up. Coates is 3rd choice anyway Carragher 4th and if we were short Kelly's naturally a CB.

Pacheco should go to increase his market value. He hardly got game time when on loan at Norwich so he can't be all that good.

We still can take a gamble and put Morgan on the pitch. I believe Fowler's evaluation of him being a good finisher.

Why can't Tranmere be Liverpool B i'm sure we can loan them to one club and not seperate them. {Ed002's Note - No.}

Hi Eds thanks for all the work have been following you with dismay on a daily basis from a beach bar in Thailand (woke up morning after transfer deadline in disbelief). Do you think BR will be given any funds for January & if so might the Sturridge deal still happen? Thanks {Ed002's Note - The situation with Sturridge will be the same as it was this summer. If Liverpool wish to buy the player, make an offer acceptable to Chelsea and an offer acceptable to the player, then Chelsea will not stand in his way. Having his agent ask if he is available on loan will get the same reply. As for January we will see if a little money is available. I suspect it will be.}

At least you're at a beach bar in Thailand mate.. forget about the misery over here ;-)

This is a mess

Hi Ed002

Great Job

What would be an acceptable offer to Chelsea and Sturridge.

Any input would be highly appreciated.

YNWA-SA {Ed002's Note - More thank Liverpool could afford without selling. There is little point in getting in to figures.}

Forget Sturridge. We can recall Andy Carroll in Jan.

Surely Klasnic is a better bet then either Owen or Heskey. Klasnic scored goals in the PL last year - Owen hasnt started a PL game for 2 years, and I cant remember when Heskey last scored a PL goal? When you look at the fixtures coming up - Europa & Cap One, it's clear we need some extra bodies to play up front otherwise Saurez, Sterling & Borini (Regardless of whether you rate him or not) will be knackered before Xmas. Would Anelka & or Drogba be such a bad move? They would make us competitive and make opposition defences stand up and take note? {Ed002's Note - I really would not hold your breath over Klasnic. I would very much expect him to move to Mainz 05 today after yesterday's talks. If anyone else makes a last attempt for him it would be Deportivo.}

Eider gudjihnson maybe?

Owen and Heskey rolling back years. Just go for Drogba
