Hey ED, Do you know if we have any interest in either Adryan or Bernad? {Ed001's Note - I don't know sorry.}

Adryan would be good as he can play across the front 3 bit like Suso, but highly doubt we will get him as his club don't wana sell and his buy out clause will be high.

Ed1 mate did you hear Rodgers after game he said he wants three attacking players if liverpool are to progress. He continued that wee need quality players rather then bodies. Can you see FSG giving him 50 million to spend coz I can't see. I think getting quality striker in january will be greatful {Ed001's Note - no, but every manager always asks for more than they expect to get, it is a negotiating tactic.}

I have a feeling we could be suprised by the business done in January! In a good way!

We need at least 50 mil, how can they expect Suarez to stay otherwise. It used to he a reliance on Gerrard and torres, now its just Suarez

We desperately need players who can support Suarez. Otherwise, I can see him contempt to move on next summer.

We can get quality players for cheap if we do the right business..there are a whole host of players out there who would improve our First 11 drastically and would not cost insane amounts..If cole,pacheco,downing is sold anything is possible..

Ha 50m. Torres?

{Ed001's Note - no, but every manager always asks for more than they expect to get, it is a negotiating tactic.}

Maybe someone should have told Comolli that before he agreed to pay the £35M 'asking price' for Carroll.

I have heard from a reliable source that Arsenal and Theo Walcott have come to some sort of compromise and they are close to agreeing a new contract. Brendan Rodgers wants to sign Klaas Jan Huntelaar and Daniel Sturridge this January to strengthen his front line and FSG have said they are willing to back him but would like one or two high earners to leave the club step forward Joe Cole and Stewart Downing, while Liverpool are also willing to offload Dani Pacheco,Doni,Danny Wilson and possibly Jordan Henderson. If Liverpool do complete the signings of Huntelaar and Sturridge I suspect that we will not be seeing Andy Carroll in a Liverpool shirt again which is a bit of a shame as I am one of the few people who believe he will become a top striker in the coming years.

No way andy carroll should come back

There are many who believe that AC will become a top striker however as to whether he would ever become able to play our system well enough is whole other issue. And he is far too expensive for a plan B in my opinion.

Andy K

Actually, I do think Carroll WILL become a great player, even when he was at Newcastle.

Play your system I'm sure he can learn how to lose a game

I also would have liked BR to stand by Carroll and give him a chance to prove his worth but it's clear now that he really doesn't want him. The focus on the 'philosophy' rather than players worries me, especially if BR isn't backed by the owners. If we recruit well in January things may work out but keep your fingers crossed that Suarez stays fit until then.

Dutch sources claim that Schalke and Liverpool have agreed on the transfer of Huntelaar.Wages are still in negotiation

Heard this today at Anfield also heard a deal for Walcott is almost done

Huntelaar and Walcott might blend into the team well, Huntelaar is a little slow but Theo is a whippet.

Judging from our performance against barcodes, we need someone similar to the Judas in front and another player who can understand Suarez's football in midfield, at least he must know when Suarez wants to go for it himself or provide a tap in for Suarez's pass. Jonjo doesn't understand Suarez's football that well.

I know that he probably didn't end up with a great impact in his final season, but Maxi would have buried Jonjo's chance yesterday. Him and Suarez had a bond that brought a real flow to the front play e.g Suarez goal against Stoke in the cup last year

Which 'Dutch sources' would these be?

Hi Ed's

Is there interest in Dennis Praet from Anderlecht guy is the new big talent in Belgium (like: De Bruyne, Lukaku, Fellaini, Witsel) I heard of interest from us but I wouldn't believe a word of it until I heard it from you guys, but if we can get him now before the top teams that would be great

Belgian Red {Ed001's Note - we have had scouts watching Anderlecht, it is the assumption that he is the player we were watching.}

So Ed, are we interested in him? {Ed001's Note - I am saying my assumption is that he was the player we were watching, though I can't be 100% on that.}

He's got flawless technique and I like his close control. Could be a good investment for the future.

Nevada

Everybodys a big talent in Belgium at the moment! What have they been feeding this generation!

Wish it was Matias Suarez of Anderlecht. Guys exactly what we need...

Hi eds is true we are looking to re-sign Mihaylov?
Hutch {Ed001's Note - he says so, I can't really argue with the player himself!}

He's been saying that since the summer of 2011 when there was that BIG question mark over Reina.

the only reason we let him move was because he couldn't get a work permit because he didn't fill the international games quota.

but he has been getting enough international games for Bulgaria throughout the last few years.

him and pepe also have the same agent and mihaylov said that he didn't think pepe's heart was in it anymore and that he should be Liverpool's 1st choice keeper.

That's what HE said. Who knows what's going on in Brendan's head.

eds is there any interest in long from west brom hes quick an got a finish shouldn't cost much either {Ed001's Note - not that I am aware of, he is simply not that good.}

Long is sh!t, carrollmand Walcott needed. ASAP

Long scores goals, he had a troublesome injury but he's done well for West Brom.

I like the boy and think he is doing fine where he is. West Brom need 15 goals a season from him.

Long is an ok player but he's still a much better player than borini.much rather have long than borini

Long is not a very good player, the only thing he does consistently is hit the deck when there's a strong gust of wind.

Sorry we're going to sign a WBA bench warmer. We're going all out for Premier League survival this season.

eds please post, iv read some of the posts about raheem not signing a contract or is it rubbish {Ed001's Note - no deal will be done before he reaches the age of 18, there is a limit on the length of contract otherwise.}

How many years does he have left to run on his current contract then? {Ed001's Note - he had the maximum length allowed at 17, 3 years.}

He can walk away at eighteen if he likes, but sterling is the future if the club

Sterling isn't going to displace Bale on the left for Tottenham, nor Capt Lennon on the right. So i don't think Spurs are a decent option for him when he's getting the big games for Liverpool.

Hazard and Mata are on fire and Marin isn't getting much of a look in, so Sterling would be silly to move to Chelsea to warm their bench like so many young players have done previously, instead of playing games for Liverpool.

Arsenal have Oxlade-Chamberlain and Podolski as well as Walcott (for the time being) and Carzorla, so i can't see Sterling getting games their unless Walott was shifted on, but even then i don't see Sterling getting the nod ahead of the other players.

So with the above being typed, i don't personally think ''London is calling'' as many seem to think. Even if we go all out for Walcott i don't see Sterling being in any way involved going the other way.

I predict that Sterling will sign a new 5 year contract and any poaching teams will have to pay through the nose to get his signature. Not itk, it's just that losing Sterling isn't an option Liverpool can afford.

I would much rather we kept Sterling at £25k per week rather than get in Walcott and give him the £100k he seems to be demanding

Brad Jones starts for Liverpool today as they face Newcastle at Anfield.

Steven Gerrard is also in the side to make his 600th appearance for the Reds and Jose Enrique will start at full-back against his former club.

The Liverpool team in full: Jones, Wisdom, Enrique, Agger, Skrtel, Sahin, Gerrard, Allen, Suso, Sterling, Suarez. Subs: Gulacsi, Henderson, Assaidi, Carragher, Shelvey, Downing, Coates.

Ed, who are the most realistic January transfer options
that you would expect ?
I would be happy if we get Loic remy, Theo Walcott, Michael Bastos (If only comes cheap) , Auyembayeng(If we could sell a few otherwise in the summer when Carroll is sold)..
I know lots of people want jovetic,doumbia,schurrle or dreams about cavani,erikson et al but none are realistic whilst llorente, huntellar etc are either old or slow and for me though world class finishers not exactly would/should be Rodger's first choice.. {Ed002's Note - I am not going to try and provide a list. January is not a great time to look for players but there is no secret of interest in the likes of Hooper and Walcott. Huntelaar is a possible option as well.}

Personally i don't think we'll buy anyone like Huntelaar for his age and price would make any deal difficult and not business smart for the owners. Unless it was about £6 million or so.

I always liked Klass but he is slow these days and i'm not sure if he'll be another Fernando Morientes. Great technique on the ball but too slow to get on the end of the ball as much as he once did. Great with set pieces though. So it's a kicking to Carroll kind of, who we should have kept him and certainly until we had a ready made replacement and i'm saying pretty much the same about letting Kuyt go. Although i do have high hopes for Borini and his box movement when he comes back from injury.

I think we'll be looking at Patrick Aubameyang or Wallcott a fast speedy player to compliment Suarez, but again after reading Super Steve Nicol's recent comments in the media, i agree Liverpool shouldn't be interested in Theo, we need a goal scorer not a goal poser.

Who the hell is the last player you gave. Wouldn't want anyone them

The other day ed 02 said we had no chance of huntelaar how fickle.ah well you might aswell let on just to keep us happy.Tommy Irish Red {Ed001's Note - times change mate, his situation certainly has.}

04 Nov 2012 20:10:42
ed 002 so are we looking at theo now even tho br said we are not i no u said i while back u didnt no if we were interested in him it was Macca that said it and do u still think in your opinion he will sign a new deal thanks {Ed002's Note - If I were pushed I reckon he will sign a new deal with Arsenal.}

Liverpool are reported to be interested in £33.5million pound trio Demba Ba, Klaas-Jan Huntelaar and Ajax midfielder Christian Eriksen.

Eriksen and Walcott.

Mate i'll run naked if than happens - RED INDIAN

RED INDIAN - If that happens I will join you!

RED INDIAN-Same with me

Depends on sale of players but we are only being given 10 mil oh and i will run naked too

Not worth it. Just go for huntelaar

RED INDIAN me too

I somehow doubt anyone will need to run naked.

I'd be amazed if we even signed 1 of those.

Eriksen would be a good player to buy, he'd have to change his game slightly but he's got the ability and potential at the tender age of 20.

He'd need to add to his physicality slightly but Rodgers loves technical players and doesn't care for strong strapping lads like Carroll, Adam or Kuyt. Borini, Assadi and Sahin are evidence of this, as is young tiny tricky Sterling's recent adventures in the first team.

Not going to happen FSG DO NOT have that money

If this happens it will be sick!! Half of Liverpool will be running round naked.... Although, sadly like many other I know are real targets will cost between 2.5 - 7.5 mil.

Sinister Red.

Ps count me in for the naked run lads
