Steve Kean has told Junior Hoilett that when he moves he should only join a top four club.If Liverpool get in the top four this year could you see Liverpool make a move for him eds? {Ed002's Note - I suspect he will move in January if he does not sign a new contract. I have no idea if Liverpool will be interested or not.}
Im sure one of the Eds mentioned that we were interested a month or two back so you never know

I agree with the comment above i think this is going to be a season were we all r going to keep saying what if? we need to win all our home games and we've drew against sunderland, man u and norwich! also we got beat against stoke i know there a tough team to play against at home but we should have won with the chances we created and also we spurs was a must win as they will be challenging us for 4th.
I really don't believe junior hoillett is a good enough player for our club. Does very well for BBurn but he's not good enough for us
Liverpool are not a top 4 club, simple as that.

A lot of people have watched him, supporters in the main.
Currently our squad is worth 5th in the value table, if Mr Henry stops writing cheques we wont get anywhere. The net spend since January 2011 has been £25m or so. We need to spend on one or two quality additions in January or risk getting left behind and out of the Champions League for another season at the very least.
Correction we are actually currently 6th in the squad value table. Which is Man City, Chelsea, Utd, Arsenal, Spurs, Liverpool. We need more investment on 1 or 2 top end players, then we can compete. Whether they will be avilable in January will be another story but hopefully we pull of a massive coup or find a couple of hidden gems. Roll on Jan.
Mr Henry's cheques will be of no use if we keep targeting the likes of Adam/Hendo/Downing. May be Carroll and Hendo will come good in future, but we cannot afford to wait. I am sorry to say Adam and Downing have not done enough to justify the hype created over the summer. If we do not qualify for the CL, we will find it hard to keep Suarez, Reina and Lucas. It is a vicious cycle.
We really need to have at least one world class player in January. If not, we have to be happy (and also lucky) to finish 6th.
In reply to the last poster - exactly how many world class players do you see moving in the Jan window? Top players are invariably still involved in European competition and any that are available cost exhorbitant fees. Do you believe that we should bust the bank to finance deals for players and then hope that we finish in the top 4 to keep them happy? Quit whinging and support your team - the season is only 10 games old.
This is exactly the reason liverpool are not doing as well as city and united. they splash the cash to get the best. we buy the average players that don't cost as much. please kenny buy some decent players.
It is clear the ones we got from lesser sides are not capable to handle the pressure of a big club. (just like Woy? may be)! Our home games show that adam and henderson lack confidence. Kenny is persisting with these poor chaps and trying to prove some points. Arsenal after their poor start will overtake us very shortly.

Eds, what are the chances of us signing Junior Hoilett in January or the summer?
I know a number of clubs will be looking at him, are we one of them & if so, how interested are we?
Also, what do you feel is his best position? Right mid, left mid or striker?
