We have apparently signed the Internacional Brazilian Allan now. sorry for the copy and past.

"Brazilian news outlet UOL Esporte are reporting on Saturday, that Internacional have sold Brazilian midfielder Allan to Liverpool for £500,000."

The Brazilian Allan to go with the welsh xavi lol

There are some great highlights of him on Youtube by MrBoywunder. Looks like an maestro of a midfielder with great range of passing and likes a tackle.

Is it actually confirmed Eds? How could he qualify for a work permit?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - When he meets the set criteria. He is a long way from the first team.}

05 Jul 2015 17:57:11
It seems like a very small fee for a future star. Is he over hyped. ? Maybe so.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Jul 2015 15:25:25
He's only 18 and not a first teamer at Internacional. Will be in our U21s for a couple of years initially. Just a kid. Left-sided CM, all rounder but known for passing ability. The Brazilian Joe Allen is actually a fair description in this case!

Sky sports reporting lfc apparently interested in balde from lazio? Ed002 said no interest before has anything changed or have sky got it wrong?

Believable1 Unbelievable5

{Ed002's Note - Inter are interested in Kieta Balde Diao - I am not aware of any interst from the likes of Liverpool who looked at the player last year.}

04 Jul 2015 21:00:38
Have sky ever got a rumour right. ?

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Jul 2015 21:01:06
It's not sky sports who are reporting this. They are just giving some of the gossip from other newspapers or websites

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Jul 2015 21:23:58
It's just come from the players agent who said "Liverpool have a manager who loves players like keita" but he said there been zero contact from Liverpool.

I hear a straight swap for borini! Any truth eds?

Agree1 Disagree0

04 Jul 2015 20:11:04
An Italian paper is suggesting lazio have offered €5 mil for Fabio borini, not exactly mega bucks but I'm not sure anyone will be willing to pay much more.

Eds,

Do you see us going for Pedro as is rumoured as a replacement for Sterling?

Surely with Ibe, Markovic, Coutinho,Firmino & Lallana the last thing we would need is another wide or no 10 type player?

Unnecessary in my eyes.

Rogers has an very talented and in some cases very expensive bunch of players among those 5 and if he is the great coach he keeps telling us he is, he should be able to make these players better than Pedro while not blowing another £20m.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - It is difficult to see a move to Liverpool without Champions League football. Barcelona will sell at the right price and Pedro was offered to a couple of clubs, one as part of a convoluted part exchange but no deal could be struck for Kovacic.}

04 Jul 2015 21:07:22
I know we typically don't talk money here, but what price do you think they would be willing to sell at?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - A lot less than his €150M termination clause.}

04 Jul 2015 21:24:52
Cheers Ed2.

I would like us to get one stellar fit striker signed up, get the players we all know need moved on moved on then get to work on preparing for a very big season for the club.

We have a very capable squad of players it's now time they and the manager show this and start the climb back to regular top 4 and contending for the big prizes.

I am very much in the Rogers out camp but if he can get the team playing again like we are capable of he will have my full support.

I really hope he does.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Jul 2015 08:05:36
He is reported to have been quoted as saying he PREFER'S LFC over Arsenal because he has more chance of first team football with us and that CL football isn't all that important too him for the coming season.

Don't know how true that is, or even if he would be a good signing but we obviously have hit an impasse with Benteke so would assume we will be looking for an alternative.

{Ed002's Note - I have to say that it is very unusual for a player who has just agreed to a contract extension to come out with statements such as these about Liverpool.}

05 Jul 2015 08:56:14
What annoys me about this rumour is we have Ibe so why spend huge money on pedro??

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Jul 2015 15:18:24
Is there any truth in this rumour that we are after Pedro and that he prefers idea of coming to Liverpool over Arsenal???

I fear its rubbish but would be great. He is a player i think we should have tried harder to net over last coupe of years (if that was even possible?)

04 Jul 2015 15:58:25
Firminho??

Agree1 Disagree0

04 Jul 2015 16:17:46
It's been said several times that Firminos addition had nothing to do with Sterling.
SPORT aren't that reliable but considering they might be signing Turan who can also play there, his game time might be even more limited and we have had previous interest. Could be them putting two and two.

Agree1 Disagree1

04 Jul 2015 16:39:55
Firminho had nothing to so with the sterling sale. It was in the plan already.

Agree1 Disagree1

04 Jul 2015 17:13:47
Even if marko goes on loan, there's a maximum of 4 positions, possibly 3 if we play 3 cms that will be occupied by coutinho, lallana, firmino, ibe, Sturridge when fit, benteke as it seems, origi, ings, and even milner. We just don't need another forward player.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Jul 2015 18:19:52
I'd love ibe and lallana to get a run in the team but in all honestly Pedro is better, isn't it about improving the first 11?

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed001's Note - not so sure Pedro is any better, I have no idea why he is so highly rated, he is exceedingly average.}

04 Jul 2015 18:49:59
The reason he is so highly rated is because he plays for Barcelona. If the worst player in the world played for Barcelona, he'd end up being highly rated!

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Jul 2015 18:52:09
I think half of the people on here think it's fantasy football. Always want more.

Several players in that Barca team would not hack it at another club, really.

04 Jul 2015 07:36:08
Hi eds
First time poster! Great site.

Any more on Saloman Rondon? I think he'd be a good buy, not too expensive, and looks like a decent addition from what I've seen of him?
Prefer to sign him stead of benteke

Cheers

Believable0 Unbelievable6

{Ed001's Note - we are trying to sign Benteke not Rondon.}

04 Jul 2015 08:27:35
Why are we trying to get benteke ? there's much better forwards out there that would work hard for the team and make things happen in the match. This guy for the money they are wanting its nuts to think we are going to wast more money on a forward that's all ready the same as Mario Balotelli and won't work hard for the team.

Agree0 Disagree4

04 Jul 2015 08:38:56
Agreed, Rondon is half the price too. Same age. Better goal record :(

Agree0 Disagree3

04 Jul 2015 08:44:39
Name few of them PJMC29.As for Rondon he could complete just 7 games in the whole season and is very inconsistent.So it will be a huge gamble to sign him.

Agree3 Disagree0

04 Jul 2015 09:23:18
Better goal record, are you having a laugh?
You need to look at what teams he plays against (Torpedo Moscow, FK Rosto, Ural S.R) - These are some of the worst teams in the Russian PRL. Furthermore, Rondon has the stamina of a potato, and this is probably why he is so lazy. Trust me, you don´t want Rondon.

Agree3 Disagree0

04 Jul 2015 10:22:09
Benteke wouldn't be my first choice either as would have preferred bacca. However, there is no doubting bentekes ability and the club clearly want him. Who knows what effort he will put in when he plays for us but I'm sure he will be encouraged to give more if the fans back him.

Agree1 Disagree0

04 Jul 2015 11:33:25
Mitrovic would fit better and cost a third of the price of Benteke. Hope he can prove the majority wrong and shine if he signs.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Jul 2015 12:34:30
People piss me off keep comparing ballotelli with benteke, they are nothing like the same.
If ballotelli scored the same amount of goals as benteke has then he wouldn't be getting sold would he?

Agree1 Disagree0

04 Jul 2015 15:59:57
So much negativity towards benteke, but if we don't sign him those same people will bitch and moan about it.

Agree1 Disagree2

04 Jul 2015 18:47:01
Lpoolphil, I would moan if we didn't sign Benteke or any other striker, because it's crystal clear we need a first team striker.
The complaints about Benteke being this striker are completely justified, too. Unless we are to completely alter out system to one reliant on balls into the box from deep or wide, we will not get the best out of Benteke, and could find a striker better suited to our preferred style for a similar price, or even cheaper.

Agree0 Disagree1

04 Jul 2015 20:09:28
Spot on, Toddy!

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Jul 2015 08:45:38
I don't see why there's so much negativity regd Benteke. We have Firmino whos a known and capable defensive player as well, plus some great midfield signings. So as long as we hv someone up front firing in chances consistently i don't c why laziness is so much of an issue. Many other better strikers for the price? Granted. But who can we actually sign at this moment w/o champs league? Talking abt marquee signing so no comments on Rondon.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Jul 2015 07:28:07
Inter Milan owner Erick Thohir flew into Liverpool YESTERDAY to hold talks to sign Lucas Leiva.

I know we have to sell some players but this guy is one imo we should be holding on to.

How many DM´s do they need?

Medel, Kondogbia, M´villa, Kuzmanovic, Krhin and now Lucas?

Absolutely bonkers to sell Lucas Leiva if it's true.

Why Liverpool? Didn't Ed002 say a while back the club have offices in London now?

04 Jul 2015 10:05:01
You can´t blame Lucas for leaving. He has been treated poorly. There is some footage of this on youtube - Search for "Rodgers let's lucas down gently"

04 Jul 2015 10:24:01
Really hope this isn't true

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Inter Milan held meetings in London with two clubs about players - Manchester City and Chelsea. Liverpool were no mentioned.}

04 Jul 2015 10:24:38
Always liked Lucas,but if he is going then offer him and some money and get kovacic.if not the only other midfielder we should go for is carvalho.hes a beast.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Jul 2015 13:09:16
Did you see Lucas on that daft spoof video, in the club shop, with the hoover and that ?
Hahaha, when he was going to throw that fella out with the Everton bag.

How BR was being hailed as a great man manager beggars belief.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Jul 2015 14:39:01
I agree, he is our only recognised CDM. Unless we have designs on buying better then this could be a massive mistake. I'm sure our record with him in the team is a lot better than that without him.

Agree1 Disagree0

04 Jul 2015 14:39:55
Tell them they can have him as part of the Kovacic deal.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Jul 2015 20:22:09
I know nothing about interest of Inter Milan in Lucas but I expect signing Internazionale Ondrej Duda from Legia Warszawa as replacement for one of KovacevicHernanes.

Looks like Alberto is being loaned to Deportivo for a season.

Lambert looks as though he'll sign for either WBA or Palace.

Looks like the club are beginning to move a few players out. I think it will take a bit longer moving Balotelli.

We've also brought in some kids in form of Lennon, Adekanye and seems a Brazilian called Allan.

I'm liking the way the club is handling their business in this window.
