Hi eds

Did Wisdom join Wigan on loan? {Ed001's Note - I thought it fell through when the extent of Johnson's injury was discovered?}

Believable5 Unbelievable3

Ed1 its only a sprain. Also he as a chance of being fit for Swansea doesn't he? {Ed001's Note - sprains are of varying degrees Mighty, I was told that it was a nasty one and he would be out for the month, possibly 6 weeks. Maybe that was wrong, as it could have been jumping the gun before full results were in, I don't know. I just go on the info I am given and that was that they were expecting him back for Swansea initially, but now fear it is worse than that. I have seen no full confirmation either way, so I can't be sure, but it certainly seems to be correct that Wisdom's loan move was put on hold for now.}

Thanks for all the great work edds, was just wondering can you agree to sign players all year round and let them join in the next transfer window or is it only at certain times? thanks {Ed001's Note - you can agree a deal at any time, they can just only actually transfer club during a window.}

Evening Eds. Great window, and big up for your incredible work!
- Quick question: What's going to happen with some of our youngster (Coady, D. Ward etc.), anyone seen as a back up or some going out on loan? {Ed001's Note - Coady is already loaned out to Sheff Utd. There are a few available for loan, though the news about Johnson's injury has probably ended Wisdom's chances of a loan before January. There will be a couple who are hoped to go out on loan to the Football League, basically the U21s squad over the age of 18 are available if the loan is suited. Flanagan was looking like going to Blackpool, I don't know why that hasn't happened, but it is twice now the move has fallen through.}

Ed's, massive thank you for all your work over the summer, really enjoyed it.

Tried searching for posts regarding Honda, last stated that he was going to Milan, did this happen or can you clarify the situation with him etc.?

Cheers,

Kosovo Joe {Ed002's Note - CSKA rejected the AC Milan offer made in Monaco and will keep him to January when he will move to Milan.}

Similar question if I may about Konoplyanka, Ed002. Do you know if he signed a new contract at Dnipro? I tried googling and all I could find were some recent articles speculating a move to Kiev but nothing about his contract situation. {Ed002's Note - Konoplyanka's contract is up for rejigging to a June end. A number in Russia and the Ukraine have opted for 6 month deals whilst they get negotiations underway. I suspect it will be resolved in December.}

Got to agree. Brilliant work by the Ed's. they can all have a four month holiday now! {Ed001's Note - if only!}

Hi Eds. Great work over the past few months, much appreciated. Am really pleased with all the work the club put in regarding the new signings, especially Sakho, who is a monster of a player. Just a quick question regarding Jack Dunn. I watch as much of the under 18s and under 21s as time allows me and I am really impressed with this lad. Heard Alex Inglethorpe give him a glowing reference.
My question is : Would he be anywhere near consideration for selection for the first team squad? {Ed001's Note - he is more likely to go out on loan, so that he can play regularly, if the right club can be found. That is because he is seen very much as a future first teamer, rather than to put him in the shop window.}

Believable4 Unbelievable6

Thanks for the reply Ed001. I have high hopes for him and think he could be a mainstay for Liverpool for many years to come if he fulfills his potential.

Just to than all the Eds for everything during the transfer madness.

Just a qucik one this morning. MOMO SISSOKO has left PSG and is a free agent.

He can join any club now, and would be relatively cheap and ideal for Liverpool on a short term deal as provising extra defensive midfield cover for Lucas.

Hope LFC get him. {Ed002's Note - He can't join as he was not a free agent in the previous transfer window.}

Believable7 Unbelievable8

I for one would hate to see him back here, never rated him first time round, but I thought if his contract was ripped up and he's a free agent he could join anyone who might be interested, might be wrong though. {Ed002's Note - You are right about being wrong.}

Agree1 Disagree0

While I don't think we should sign him.

I am suprised by the ruling, it effectively means that the guy is unemployed until Jan. Ok it maynot affect top end players but at the bottom where short term contracts are becoming more common, this could be critical to putting bread on the table.

Amazed it is legal. {Ed002's Note - Where do you think all of the out of contract players come from? Any remaining time he had would have been paid up or at least negotiated. Liverpool have got a lot of players off the books this way. El Zhar, Degen et al were released. If the are available at any point during the previous window (even the last day) then they can join another side.}

Agree0 Disagree2

Ed's am I right in thinking that we can sign a pre contract for Momo to join in january and in the meantime allow him to train at Melwood?

or even give him of assessment like Inter did with john carew. then determine if BR will give him a contract.

he is 28 years young plays in a position we need cover in, he has been released so will not command a transfer fee but still a signing on which is there anyway. and could help Sakho, Cissokho feel at ease a Liverpool.

{Ed002's Note - Yes, that would be allowable. I can't for one minute see it happening.}

Agree0 Disagree1

I'm hearing that PSG waited until today to confirm he was being released.

If this is true then surely this is despicable behaviour? Waiting until the day after the window shuts to release someone, essentially meaning he can't play for anyone else till january.

Stinks a little to me (or I may be totally confused)

{Ed002's Note - You seem to be confused and making all of this up - I have no idea why. There are a whole host of teams he could play for and his contract has been paid up. I have explained that the rules do not allow him to sign for an EPL club.}

Agree0 Disagree0

He's in talks with Reading (championship clubs have different rules?) Good signing for them i'd say!

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed02,

No issues with player being paid off from contracts. Happens all the time as you say.

But as free agents not being able to find employment due the window closing seems very odd! But as you say the rules are in place so guess it must be legal employment wise

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't quite know what you mean by "making all of this up - I have no idea why" as I said in the post I didn't know the situation, that's just how it seemed on the face of it! Never said I was in the know, just stating an opinion, terribly sorry that I don't know the ins and outs of the worldwide transfer system.

Agree2 Disagree0

Ed002, could you please explain to me why Sissoko as a free agent cannot sign for LFC. I don't understand why and it would help me in an ongoing argument. Kind regards for your time {Ed002's Note - It is because he was not a free agent whilst the transfer window was open.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Thank you, much appreciated

do you know what clubs have shown interest in neilton from santos {Ed002's Note - Chelsea approached Santos about Neilton before Christmas and there is interest from Porto, Braga and no doubt others. Santos wants to have him sign a new contract. Chelsea would consider becoming a third party owner of the player.}

Believable1 Unbelievable4

Ed002 - does the FA allow English clubs to be 3rd party owners - I thought that was the mess w/ Tevez & Mascherano. {Ed002's Note - If the player is not playing in England, yes.}

hey eds, I've heard the loan window is still open for another week for premiership clubs, would that make it possible for players like wisdom to still leave on loan with potential replacements still to come in? {Ed001's Note - there is no loan window in the Prem and the 'emergency' loan window for the Football League does not open for another week. I think you must have misheard.}

Hi Eds,
Just read an article which suggest LFC sneaked in one last minute signing.
According to the article we have secured a 19 yr old from Real Madrid called Rafa Paez, the article claims he's heading straight for the u21 squad.
Can you confirm if this info is good? {Ed001's Note - it is correct.}

Believable25 Unbelievable4

I think we had this guy on trial a few weeks back before the season started. This is what the Real Madrid page says of him: Positionally intelligent defender. Manages the game well and has a lot of presence as a CB.

Agree1 Disagree0

Yip, he played a game for one of the youth teams a little while ago, not sure if U19 or U21. I remember there being quite a few questions raised as there was just "Rafa" on the team sheet. Think it was on here or twitter, or both.

Agree1 Disagree1

There's a picture of his name on the team sheet in one of the Liverpool sightings I think, he seemed to score if I remember? Lots of people called rubbish on it, I guess it was real

Agree0 Disagree0

Quite right DHH take a look on the Liverpool sightings tab and there's the team sheet you speak of. So ANOTHER cb!

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah, I had posted that image a while back after someone else had asked who he was when they saw his name in an article as having played for us. For some reason people rubbished it even though there was pretty clear Youtube video of a player no one knew at the time playing CB in the team. Interesting part is he's only a year younger than Ilori I think so seems we're pretty well stocked in the CB department for a bit now between Sakho, Ilori, Kelly, Wisdom, Sama, and now Paez.

eds, any chance of ken aguero in January? {Ed001's Note - I think Kenneth is top of the list mate.}

Believable15 Unbelievable19

Looking forward to finally getting to see the big man play for us, it's definitely one transfer saga I'm looking forward to finishing

We've signed a young Centre back called Rafa Paez on a free from Real Madrid called Rafa Paez according to the echo.

Can eds confirm this? {Ed001's Note - that must have been the little deal I was told about then, I assumed it had fallen through as it hadn't been mentioned. Why has it not been confirmed by the club?}

Believable10 Unbelievable3

This was the young lad who was trialling and appeared as "rafa" on teamsheets in preseason. Will go into the u21 squad.

Agree2 Disagree0

It's the kid that was on trial a while back. There were questions about who 'Rafa' was at the time and it was him. Only place I've seen it confirmed is the Echo though. {Ed001's Note - the paperwork was submitted before they went home, so there should be no problems, it was handed over in plenty of time. Just got to wait on the FA to sift through the mountain of work they have, youth signings get lowest priority apparently.}

Agree1 Disagree0

I believe we're waiting for confirmation of his registration.

Good signing. Shame most of these clubs don't offer sufficient opportunities to their youngsters like us. it's one of the reasons I actually despise the model at Chelsea of loaning players out and letting the careers sour rather than using them to support the squad. was there a reason for them signing Atsu at all? Surely he would've been better off staying at porto {Ed001's Note - they loan them out to get them first team football, with the intent of then putting them in the team. It takes years to build a youth system, Chelsea's is getting better and better, but it will be a few more before it bears fruit.}

Eds any idea if we have a recall clause with Borini's loan deal. Incase of injuries etc. Thanks in advance. {Ed001's Note - I don't know yet sorry.}
