'Estimated Market Value: - As of today, Liverpool have agreed a fee of roughly 8 million pounds with AZ Alkmaar for Elm'. this was taken from player profiles, so have we agreed a fee for elm or have we just made an equiry?

cheers great site

Ed022 has admitted he may have made a mistake with that... but he is still 99% sure he will sign

Still a rumour no confirmation from either side and AZ will be looking to try and keep hold of Elm for another season.

{Ed002's Note - There has been no fee agreed for Rasmus Elm.}

Dont read too much into stuff on caughtoffside bulls**te

Don't be surprised if the following happens.

Kenny Dalglish remains as manager
Frank McParland becomes Director of Football

PieInTheSkyMan

Don't be suprised if it doesnt

Very plausible. But smacks very much of a one-year holding pattern, at minimal cost to club.

David Dein, I think FSG are going for the Arsenal approach, minimal spending, youth. Etc.
Eds?
Lee73

Every one is just guessing. These owners play it close to the chest.Maybe next week things will start to happen.

Hi ed, your personal opinion - who do you think is better and who do you think will sign out of:

BELHANDA

and

RAMIREZ

da da daaaa!

Thanks!

Zero {Ed001's Note - I haven't seen Belhanda play.}

None of the above.
Start by getting rid of the manager, and then the players who played against Fulham.
Stop dreaming!
The reality is, is that no-one will come to a second-rate mid-table team.
Sorry, cup team!

I have seen Ramirez play a lot and think he could be something special

Belhanda is miles better, although I'm hearing he does have a bit of an attitude problem. He thinks he's a star already bit like Ravel Morrison at Man Utd.

I feel Spain is the best place to go for value and quality. I've read repeatedly that many of the top clubs are being pushed into selling there players due to economic circumstances and there is a lot of quality that will be open for business.

An exert from the News Times.

''The archrivals' debts eclipse their revenues, which for 2010-2011 amounted to 479 million euros for Real Madrid and 450 million euros for Barcelona.

Europa League semi-finalists Valencia and Atletico Madrid are also both awash with red ink, to the tune of 382 and 514 million euros respectively.

But the latest figure to hit the headlines in Spain is the 752 million euros that Spain's elite clubs owe to the tax man at a time when more than five million are unemployed and the government is asking citizens for more sacrifices.

The sports ministry announced a plan to ensure that football pays for its own debts. But for the moment it is unclear how they will do so.

Six of the 20 Liga clubs -- Rayo Vallecano, Racing Santander, Real Betis, Zaragoza, Granada and Mallorca are currently in bankruptcy proceedings, as are another six second-division teams.''

Ollieston.

I dont think Ramirez is that good. He is showing good signs of being good but belhanda has already grasp that potential. So skillful, good passing ability, good free kick abilty, and very acrobatic much like nani overall. Get him!

If Belhanda thinks he is a star, there is some merit to that since he has been instrumental in Montpellier leading the league, as opposed to Morrison who is a reserve player!!!

Come on Ed, that doesn't stop 99% of posters on this site from giving a personal opinion!

03 May 2012 20:15:54
ed do we or any other clubs have any intrest in adrian lopez of athletico top player imo!

CHEERS ED JF LFC {Ed001's Note - I don't know anything about him, sorry.}

Is there anyone interested in selling LFC and all its assets?

Lol Fifa12

Evening Eds, I was reading an article covering Tom Werner's interview regarding our summer signings. Part of the article focused on Werner's admiration for Clint Dempsey and it got me wondering about the possibility of Dempsey signig this transfer window. I'd just like to see your take on this. Do you see Dempsey as potential target or do you think he will be surplus to our midfield needs? Also i've read on several occassions that we are scouting Rasmus Elm and Gaston Ramirez and I was wondering would there be a possibility of signing both as they both play very different roles in their respective teams.

Lee Wickham JFT96 YNWA {Ed001's Note - I very much doubt he would comment so openly on a player we are going to move for. It could lead to accusations of tapping up. There is a possibility of signing both, but a lot will depend on who leaves.}

What article?!
The only article I know, is that Fulham won for the first time, and Liverpool haven't won a game in ages! Why doesn't Werner transfer the whole lot of them out of Liverpool. You could have garage sale. But guess what, no-one would buy them, because they're all carp!

can macca put any insight into who this suposed agent on mereyside is? i havent read a report about it (which isnt always truthfull either) seems eds say nothing is happening or it isnt true, oor it may be, not one ed but a few

No idea mate, sorry..

Cheers

Macca

Thanks anyways macca, let us know if you catch wind of anything like you have been! JLFC

I believe it is belhanda's agent

03 May 2012 21:20:37
Evening ed fellow reds , any talk of us looking at vaz te from west ham looks a great little player and should be cheap . Cheers psv {Ed001's Note - no, he is not that good, Cardiff were just awful.}

He is secound top scorer in that league {Ed001's Note - and? He is playing for the team with a squad twice as strong as any other in it, if they had been managed well they would have strolled through it. Vaz Te suits Fat Scam's hoof it tactics with his height to head the ball, that is all. Not every player that plays well for one team will suit another team.}

They called him "Bambi on ice" when he was at Bolton, he may improved a little, but in the Championship. Rather re sign David Speedie!

03 May 2012 21:07:16
Little birdy told me Adam Johnson was seen at melwood today .. dunno how reliable but more believable than lavezzi anyway ha ..

Lfc 89

Maybe Charlie and Glen ? , it would be his agent not him all he would need to have is a medical and sign if he was going to his agents does all the work

Were you high when you talked to this birdy

Probably a parrot!

03 May 2012 20:51:20
Eds i there any truth to a rumour i heard that adam johnson was giving a tour of melwood? i do doubt it myself but taught id ask {Ed001's Note - when are you talking about? He had one years ago, I am sure while still at Boro. I don't know of a recent one, but it doesn't mean much anyway, Phil Jones had one in the summer and joined United.}

Go back to bed and dream a little more. May be next time, you'll see Messi shopping in Liverpool One!

03 May 2012 20:46:25
any chance of redmond or matty pillips on their way to anfield this summer?

How about Gerrard and Carragher on the way out!

I hope not we need an accomplished winger right now not another hot prospect we have sterling for that

03 May 2012 20:13:29
Ed I know that last season Marvin Martin was great in Ligue 1 but this season has he been as good? Have we shown any interest? Another player I thought about is Christian Eriksen, set to light up the Euros. What's the situation with him? I heard Milan were interested?
Sorry for the questions.

Cheers {Ed001's Note - Martin hasn't been playing to the same level apparently, I haven't seen him play, but I am told he is not having a particularly good season. Eriksen has told friends that he wants to stay at Ajax for a year or two more and then move to Spain.}

Why are we talking about marvin the martian
? :)

Hey ed i remember a while back skysports was reporting that liverpool were going to take 3 young players from ghana on trial, any idea what happened {Ed001's Note - not a clue, but I heard nothing about them signing, so I would guess that means they weren't wanted.}

Isn't that the perfect time to buy him.

03 May 2012 20:05:31
Hi eds and everyone. Nice blog eds. Great to see LFC fans sharing info they have.

I have a source who is a family member of a LFC staff. Great news for everybody because we will make early move for some of our targets,namely belhanda, de jong, rasmus elm, and muniain. This is due to the fact that we dont want to miss our main targets and we want to avoid bidding wars. With our squad players already consist of enough number of british players, we will focus on signing players from other leagues. Other targets will be identified and discussed after the final league fixture. And about the players out,it will much depends on club intention to reduce the wage bill.

Hopefully next season,we will become a more balance team with depth. I'm just sharing what i heard. By the way, thanks to all LFC fans. I always feel great to be member of this amazing LFC family. YOU'LL NEVER WALK ALONE.

John73

Cheers for the info mate, really hope its true !!

A lot of clubs won't do any business until after the Euros, they know a good tournament from their player will significantly increase the transfer fee.

There will be no de jong or muniain

Which de jong?

Muniain seems a long shot, and Belhanda may be tough since be prefers to play in France I've been told. Belhanda, De Jong, Elm and a couple others to replace outgoing players will surely strengthen the squad. Susaeta/Hoilett would be a great add too IMO.

If you carry on with ideas like this, you will be walking alone! The reality is, that the manager and tean are up to it. Before you have another piece of great news, don;t you think the news we all want to hear that Dalglish goes and he takes all the mediocre players with him. Obviously, you have forgotten about Fulham already?!

03 May 2012 16:46:36
Eds is this Agent rumour True or Bullwinkle and yes I said bullwinkle. Ha

Scouse Ben {Ed001's Note - I don't know at all.}

03 May 2012 14:20:21
Eds, Do you think we'll start signing players as soon as the new DOF will be appointed or either way all the signings action starts in the end of June? {Ed001's Note - I would expect signings to be done as soon as they possibly can.}

03 May 2012 19:00:18
eds who has the most likely chance of joining us in summer...oliver giroud or younes belhanda? thnx guyz keep up the good work
{Ed001's Note - I have no idea sorry.}

Neither Adam Johnson and James Milner

03 May 2012 18:59:40
hey eds,

just thinking if Qpr were to be relegated, surly tarabt would be available? is there any interest from us? {Ed001's Note - no.}

Thank God....

Why would you want tarabat? he is an awful player, who is so over hyped. Yes he did well in the championship but what did he ever do previous and whats he done that is so special this year?

Id be angry if we signed awful players like tarabt... Surely he muust be the most overrated player in england...

03 May 2012 14:03:54
Eds, I know that Vertonghen is likely to be an Arsenal player next season, but what about his defensive partner Alderweireld? Also, how serious is our interest in de Jong, Elm, Phillips and Belhanda? I know we're watching them but are we just scouting options or is there a serious intent to bid for them in the summer? Thanks for all the work you guys do

S {Ed001's Note - I have heard of no interest in Alderweireld, asked about for you and not got anything back regarding him sorry. I don't know if we are interested regarding Belhanda, just that he has been made available and offered around. The rest we have scouted extensively, more than would be needed if we weren't at least considering bidding for them. De Jong and Elm have both been sounded out regarding a move, but that is about it as far as I am aware. It is impossible to say with any certainty if we will bid, we can only really find out what does happen, not what will happen.}

Ed when you say 'sounded out' does that mean they are not interested in joining or what?
Josh {Ed001's Note - no, it means we have asked if they would be, I believe De Jong has indicated an interest in joining us.}

03 May 2012 18:53:43
Ed what would Newcastle think of a straight swap for carrol with cisse {Ed001's Note - they wouldn't be interested.}

Understatement of the century Ed

Yeah right

Carroll wont get a place in any of the top 10 sides of BPL. It is our bad luck that we have to bear with him.

LFC, best fan's in the league. Support your players, regardless of what you think of him, if he didn't get his head on Bellamy's cross the other week you wouldn't be excited about tomorrow's big game would you?

03 May 2012 18:38:57
Glen Johnson is a target for both Real Madrid and West Ham, should they gain promotion.
He will 100% be on his way this summer and his replacement is NOT going to be Mauricio Isla. Liverpool will also look for experienced CB cover for the soon to retire Jamie Carragher and i've heard they will try for Huth again this summer.

Bcos liverpool always do stupid deal

Real Madrid or West Ham?....Hmmm..Tough decision to make...

I hope that is total crap.

Scott Dann

You can tell your chatting absolute rubbish when u said he will either join one of the best teams in the world or a team that's just been religated from the premier league. Why would he leave Liverpool for west ham?

West Ham (Still not promoted) or Real Madrid (La Liga Champions and one of the top teams in the world).....Jheeeeeeze I smell something fishy!
INeverWalkAlone

That was destined to be bs from the moment you mentioned Real Madrid and West Ham in the same sentence.

03 May 2012 18:08:02
Ed do you think there is any chance that rafa could come back to manage the team if kenny moves into another role? {Ed001's Note - no.}

I hope not..

Rafa would never have done as badly as Kenny. Sorry guys, but you cannot excuse this form.
Sadly Rafa will not be entertained which will be our loss, not his.

Happy days then....yippee!!!!!!!

I can tell you that rafa is deffo coming back next season, 100%

Please - NO - if he was any good he wouldn't have been out of work for so long - he's been found out for what he is, and the football his sides play

Because the football we play now yields far better results?
good one!
galls

We are some 30 points behind the top two n well into the 10th place. I'm gutted to hear from some like Stevie G who said that there have been some progress!! Kenny should be proud that he is now a legend to bring the worst home record to our club. He should graciously step down before any further damage is done to the team. Bring on someone who has fresh ideas to improve the team.

Rafa? 6 years of boring and defensive football with not EPL title and you want him back? Are you a loser?

If Kenny is to be replaced, it has to be with a fresh new manager with fresh idea and positive and attacking footballing philosophy that befits LFC.

Rafa back? No, thanks.

With reference to the point about if Rafa was any good he would not have been out of work so long - well he can be choosy because he is sitting on two large compensation packages from LFC and Inter. But also he and his family are happily settled on the Wirral. His wife loves it. His kids love it. Their kids go to great schools, which is important to them. They have great friends in the area and are highly regarded in the local community.

I can tell you that rafa is deffo coming back next season, 100%

----------------------------------------
Of course he will, as far as I know he has not been banned from the ground and will always have a seat at the Annie Road end.

03 May 2012 14:53:21
eds is this true that we are looking at alvaro negredo of sevilla ?

collins {Ed001's Note - we did a few years back, I have not heard of our interest being revived.}

Thank good he's like a bus turnin now, and not an ounce of pace

03 May 2012 17:36:10
Heard we have made an enquiry on availability of Gonzalo Higuain. Just an enquiry. Doesn't mean we are going to sign him.

With reported interest from UCL playing Juventus,Chelsea, & PSG (who will be willing to offer him +100K wages) it would be hard to persuade him to join us.

Armando

We have no chance

Higuain would be quality addition.. Imagine Suarez and Higuain leading the line.. Highly unlikely that this would happen..

Chaki

Bull .

Suarez and Demba Cisse more like

Your persistant Armando, but you are full of it as always

03 May 2012 17:34:35
Eds, with the news of us making a £49.4m loss how do you think this will effect our transfer budget for the summer.
Also could you clarify which players agent is currently in Liverpool which has been reported?

Cheers,
Hassan {Ed001's Note - it was expected, so no. No I can't confirm or deny the reports that an agent is visiting, though it is a regular occurrence for agents to visit Melwood and Anfield.}

Aside from the stadium thing it shows lfc owners are wise

Eds can you clear it which agents visits mellwilood. {Ed001's Note - any agent who has a player at the club will visit regularly, other agents will drop in from time to time. It is just standard business practice, if they have players likely to be available, they will often visit clubs that might buy them and gauge interest.}

Is that 100% transfer fees?

03 May 2012 17:14:13
I'm still concerned about our new DOF? Is there any news on who we will be getting as the New DOF? or is there anything to suggest Kenny will move upstairs and someone will replace him?

Why do we need a director of football - they never used to exist, the manager decided who he wanted, and they were scouted and signed by the club after negotiations with the money men. I'm pretty sure United haven't got one, unless he comes under a diferent name, but I'm sure Demento makes the decision.

Stop talking nonsense

They wouldn't announce something that big this close to the cup final mate

The owners put their money in so whatever structure they want should be the way to run the club they have not done a bad job at boston have they

But we're not in Boston. Liverpool fc is a business to them, they maybe actual Boston fans.

Of course we need a director of football, who else would work out the fine details of contracts and all the other bs that goes with signing new players and selling others, kenny would hardly have the time to be doing that stuff, just because other clubs don't give the person that exact same title doesn't mean they don't have someone doing that job..

03 May 2012 16:55:41
well our scouts were on games of two teams:
montpellier (here was daglish himself) and athletic bilbao!

+ balhanda's agent is in town! :D

I'm very excited what will happen, crossing my fingers for balhanda and muniain!! :DD that would be prefect wingers for us

Whats a prefect winger?

Team for next season
Gk Reina
RB Kelly
CB Dann
CB Agger
LB Enrique
Rm A. Johnson
CM Gerrard
CM Spearing
LM Downing
ST Pappiss Cisse
ST Suarez
Subs
Doni
Flanaghan
Carragher
Henderson
Sterling
Carroll
Bellamy

They wont come!

Just those 2 would put us in the top 4 but I'm not getting my hopes up.

No lucas?

Dann before Skertl and Spearing before Lucas? Cisse, in your dreams. Go and take a powder son.

redmersey

I just don't see raheem or suso have any chance in the first team if we keep buying wingers:(

I take it your contributing to A Johnsons wages.

03 May 2012 16:43:19
is there any truth to belhanda's agent being in merseyside eds? ty {Ed001's Note - from what I understand he has had a few issues, got into a fight and sent off, then got sent home from training for similar things. Marseille have made him available, I believe, for transfer, hence the rumour. No idea if his agent is anywhere though.}

Doesn't he play for Montpellier? Mac {Ed001's Note - yes, sorry, my mistake. I was even looking at it as I typed it!}

Marseille? Do you know what team belhanda plays for? haha

Marseille, do you mean montopeiller?
keep up the good work eds

He seems to be a good player. I wouldnt worry about his character. Rooney was the same .

I hope, its true. Belhanda would be a great addition to the club. His behaviour seems a bit bad(as for eds statement) but he'd learn this with time. he'd certainly have a better behaviour than Balotelli, though. :)
Ed, gotta mistake here, Belhanda plays for Montpellier. Anyways, eds always thankful for your great work. Thanks alot. YNWA Trustme {Ed001's Note - I know, I know *hangs head in shame*}

He plays for montpellier doesn't he?

He doesn't play for Marseille, he is at Montpellior. Come on ed :D

Did you Montpellier, ed?

Canadian Fan {Ed001's Note - yes, sorry.}

Does he not play for Montpellier? Cheers Eds for the info though

Doesn't he play for montpellier Ed? Obviously if its a typo then you're forgiven as im sure you are very busy hah :)
Willster

Belhanda is gonna be a class act in years to come, probably the hottest young talent in France behind Eden Hazard. Would be a massive coup if Liverpool got him...won't be holding my breath though.

People have been saying the same about Ben Arfa for the last 2 years, and were saying the same about Lavezzi 4 years ago. If we're serious about him we take the risk and try to channel his temperament to both ours and his benefit.

Mate of mine follows Ligue1 closely and he told me Belhanda is better than Nasri...I asked if he was joking but he was being serious {Ed005's Note - That's not so hard to believe.}

03 May 2012 13:56:54
Keep up the good work. I just wanted to ask if there were any players last summer/this January that we came close to signing but eventually it broke down or similar. Anybody have any info? Thanks.

Luc Castaignos!

I doubt if that would help in anyway for the upcoming transfer window..

Yeah, Messi was on the plane over here until Kenny found out he wasn't English.

redmersey

03 May 2012 14:13:14
Hi Eds, Just a quick question. Have any of you heard anything about what might be happening with Mario Gomez this transfer window?

FatJanMolby {Ed001's Note - unlikely anything will happen with him.}

Wouldn't u want cisse from the toon

No mario will do thanks dont like cisse

40+ goals this season, doubt Bayern will let him go.

PD6

03 May 2012 14:50:07
is there any information of the interest of younas belhanda, i think he is one of the best midfielders in europe and cheap

What are you on lad?? get your head out of the clouds, he isnt worth a carrott!!

What is his attitude like? I understand he was sent off at the weekend and punched a player from Evian. He has been heavily linked with PSG.

NeilW

03 May 2012 14:26:27
Belhanda's agent on Merseyside for talks with Liverpool. Meant to be here for 2-3 days

So what's his name?
source?

This sounds great, but what is your source? I don't want to get too happy over something that is unlikely. Cheers

Are you sure mate.

Are you a member on koptalk?

Its not gunna happen

Behave!!

Any links or sources probably not

This is taken off koptalk

Are you sure, considering he is supposedly interested in Bayern and they are seriously interested in him?

Unlikely...Ed already mentioned previously that he wants to play in France or Germany...if he's interested in playing for Bayern then they will have a great chance of signing him as they need a replacement for Robben...Belhanda will only join us if we overpay or he's a Liverpool fan...reality...

03 May 2012 13:43:18
Suposidly theres an agent on merseyside ready to do a deal with a top winger, belhanda or ramirez? I would prefer gaston
Jedimindtricks

Why will you prefer Gaston, I thought Belhanda is miles better mainly because of stamina and work rate which are need to do well in premiership.

I will prefer Belhanda

Wales

Belhanda's agent mate. Here for 2-3 days

I've never heard of gaston jedimindtricks is he any good?

Yea ok.....

KopTalk..must be true then.

I would prefer belhanda. Don't get me wrong, gaston is a super player but belhanda is sOmethibg else.
AnfieldUSA

Belhanda is the better player, he has the attributes to adapt to the premier league a lot better than Ramirez and would be a top quality signing for Liverpool or indeed any club that is lucky enough to sign him.

Red Pedro

Belhanda all day long for me much better!
Alfiedean

He's talking about Gaston Ramirez! know him? :)

I would prefer Belhanda, looks a quality number 10, just what we need!

Where is this talk coming from? Does anyone have a source I could check out? Ed's do you know anything of this? {Ed001's Note - I don't know anything about it sorry, but it would be a good time to sneak this in, while everyone is concentrating on the build up for the cup final.}

Woppers, get ye head sorted!

I prefer Younes, but I believe both will be among 10 or 15 best midfielders in, lets say, 3, 4 years

Never seen Belhanda, what's he like ? Can you compare him to any player in the prem now ?

Yes he has a very good vision like cesc feberegas or silva. He uses his skill not only for crossing the ball also for wonderful through balls. He is clearly cheaper than hazard but may become better than him..

Team for season
Gk Reina
RB Kelly
Cb Dann
Cb Agger
Lb Jose Enrique
Rm A. Johnson
Cm Gerrard
Cm Spearing
Lm Downing
St Pappiss Cisse
St Suarez
Subs
Doni
Flanaghan
Carragher
Sterling
Shelvey
Carroll
Maxi

Im sure getting rid of kuyt,maxi,downing and getting both would be achievable and the best result hopfully sterling plays next season we need pace
Jedimindtricks

Firstly: i'd have belhanda over ramirez all day.
secondly: to the bloke who has named his team, where is our player of the season, skrtel?

Why would you want to swap the magnificent Martin Skrtel with Scott 'hee haw' Dann?
Makes no sense at all.

No Lucas, no Skrtl. This side you've picked would leak more goals and finish lower than the current side

Whatever the case, I'm getting excited!... NextGenRed

Dann over Teenage mutant ninja skrtel no chance

03 May 2012 10:09:47
Are the rumors true that we have or are close to signing Rasmus Elm? I have watched him on the telly and he has good vision. Not to mention his passing and free kicks are quite good. Cheers Eds

Lfc 4 EVA {Ed001's Note - not sure how close we are, but we have spoken to his club and he is interested in the move as well.}

There's a school of thought; that if were interested in signing a player? Other clubs will immediately drop their interest :(((
bluenose told me this, you have to laugh :))
Although it's not funny!!
kidmillions

I've seen Elm and he's not in my view that great. He's a decent midfielder but nothing special. He's no better then Adam, Downing & Henderson although at 24 Elm may improve.

Is he another Jovanovic - Looks decent but can't hack it inte Premier League?

Is it a good idea ? I mean we should appoint a new manager 1st then let him buy player.

Who is going o sign the players we have no DOF?

Probably right about letting the manager pick the players but maybe Kenny is already confirmed as manager next season.
I think Elm is better than Adam or Downing but Hendo will come good without doubt.

Newcastle trying to buy Elm as well...and they have apparently shown more interest in him than we have...

03 May 2012 08:42:00
Sad times when you hear Chelsea may make a profit on David Luiz, yet we'd struggle to get half of what we paid for Adam, Downing, Carroll and Henderson.

Papa G

The manager has no clue what a good player looks like. Suarez was already going to be bought before kenny came so look at all kennys signings.

They wouldn't make a profit on Torres though, or Lukaku, and we'd make a large profit on Suarez IF he was sold, so swings and roundabouts.

Tommy Walsh

I don't think Chelsea care if they make a loss/profit, roman will cover it lolz.
We can't be comparing our financial situation to there's in any circumstance.

Adam and Henderson can both play and will get better. Your right about Downing and Carroll.
kidmillions

Henderson will become a very good player

Henderson will never be good enough. he hides too much. cowardly player. we are in big trouble if we are relying on him in the future.

He was bought over 20 million I dought any one will even come. Close {Ed001's Note - 15.6m he was bought for.}

Papa G,
Sounds like you would prefer to support Chelsea

I agree that we overpaid for all of them, some more than others.

But I remain convinced that they will all improve drastically next season and with the addition of 1 goalscorer and 1 wide,flair player, we will significantly improve.

AZ

PS Henderson and Carroll have lots to offer. Henderson just needs to be more confident and not be scared to give the ball away, but this will come with time.

Andy has played very well for the last 2 months or so

Would be madness to sell Hendo

Martin

Lay off our players people, it takes time for players to gel and get used to our style of play, it takes even longer when you are not playing wek in week out, these players will come good, you lot have very short memorys, case and point lucas, he has become the foundation of our side, how many of you thought that a few years ago, so get a grip and support the team, otherwise look some place else

I know we paid over the odds for Hendo, but I don't understand what the lad has done that's so wrong? I know he lacks in confidence, and there are times when he should take a shot and goes for a pass instead, but all that will come with time. I don't think supporters giving him a battering will help that. He plays very attractive football, and he's only young, he is playing and has captained England U21s, so it's obviously not just Kenny who sees his potential. the difference between Hendo and Adam, Carroll and Downing, is that the other three have no replicated their previous form at LFC, Hendo is playing better for us than he did for Sunderland, and although he is not setting the league on fire, he still has plenty of time to do this. I suggest we get behind him, otherwise he will be taking his potential to another club.

Since we are not selling any of them - how can you know ? Just out to complain about something so you can feel better about your life?

Thank you so much for the anonymous writer of " Henderson will never be good enough, and he is a cowardly player " you are one of the main reasons someone else uses my season tickets now, LFC fans who know nothing about football, you are probably one of the huge number of Lucas knockers as well - cos there was plenty of them on the Kop sat by me. Give players a chance, he's young and come to a big club, important factor is - he is not a winger, he is a CM, end of.

Although Luiz has had a poor season for Chelsea, there is no doubt about his potential. He has pace, he has great tecnique, he is strong. He just need a manager who tells him when to use his tecnique and when to get rid off the ball. When to tackle and when to fall back. Then he will be a the quality defender

I agree with the not bashing Hendo sentiments but the same cannot be said about Downing and Carroll they both have been given plenty of opportunity to shine and neither have done so they I believe do not deserve more chances. Caroll especially I know a lot of people would say without him we wouldn't be in the FA final but what excuse is that in comparison with his abysmal season we can support out players but Carroll has done nothing to really get any sort of backing from the supporters.

MY $.02. Nothing can be said for sure with this season about the players. My biggest knock on Carroll was his lack of hustle. That seems to be changing lately, so lets support have patience.

It is the responsibility of Kenny to bring out the best from these players. Carroll, Henderson and Downing all did well for their previous clubs but fail to gel in this team. Compared to Rafa, Kenny haven't a clue as to which is his best 11. We should be alarmed that we are slowly slipping to 10th place. We have the worse home record since 1954!! We may have beaten MU,Everton and Man City in cup competitions but when we are trailing behind by more than 30 points Kenny should step down this summer.

Hi Ed's
just throwing this out there, what about Arden Turan and Ever Banga? Both young players, both been out of the light for a season or two. might get them for reasonable prices?

Lee73 {Ed002's Note - Arda moved last summer and will not be moving this. BAnega is out injured. Seems very unlikely.}

Neither of these players exist . However , if you mean Arda Turan , he is 26 next birthday , if you mean Ever Banega , he is 24 next birthday , so neither are young players either .

Apart from that , good try .

You the summer is upon us, when Arda Turan is mentioned on this site :)

Lee 73: you are 1-2 years too late :)

I was really dissapointed when we failed to bring them to Anfield. Especially because they were both said to be Liverpool fans

Bloody hell, 24 & 26 is considered old! lol
So I misspelled their names! You knew who I meant.

Just heard a rumour that batman is coming out of his cave to help us get back into the champions league next year we at going to buy his friend Robbin to.

Sourse:tooth fairy

Question for eds is there any interest in Honda this summer you know of {Ed002's Note - Liverpool were very interested at one time but may have blown their chance of Honda in January 2011 when he was available for about £8M. During the mid-season in Russia, Wolfsburg and Juventus were interested in Honda but the player said he wanted to move to Spain and the 25M euro asking price put them off. Recent enquiries for the player have been from Lazio, PSG, Sevilla and Palermo and Lazio nearly signed him in January. I suspect Lazio remains the likely destination but Liverpool could revive their interest.}

EDs. I have noticed something that lately players coming from Germany ( the league not the nationality ) are doing pretty well in the premier league for eg . Sigurdsson or Cisse. I know there will be exceptions . But do you know any interest from us in any of the players from Bundesliga .

AJI {Ed002's Note - Dortmund's Lewandowski has been watched by Liverpool.}

Erin derdiyok has been watched too. As has bender.

Hi Eds/Macca. Just wondering if any of you guys have heard anything solid regarding Liverpool interest in Belhanda? I've seen this lad play a bit and he is a serious talent and exactly the kind of exciting attacking player we need. Unfortunately I can see a lot of clubs coming in for him so can see it being difficult to get him but fingers crossed.

Markel Susaeta is another top talent and a player that would undoubtedly improve our play down the flanks but again could be tough to acquire. I have a feeling we'll get Luuk de Jong which I think would be a great signing, he has a lot of potential and has excellent technique for a tall lad.

I believe Macca's info about Soldado and can see us making a serious push for him in the summer, comes alive in the box and is a clinical finisher who would compliment Suarez quite well I think. Thanks Macca for all your info, there's always a buzz on the site when you post and it's much appreciated.

Thanks to the Eds for their time in providing us with this amazing and addictive site, it can't be easy. Hope we all have something to celebrate on saturday. YNWA

Cheers,

Red Pedro. {Ed002's Note - There is interest from confirmed interest in Belhanda from Bayern Munich, Arsenal and PSG and there is unconfirmed interest from Liverpool, Inter and Roma. The player wishes a move to Germany with Bayern Munich or Dortmund or to play for PSG if Germany is not possible.}

Thats basically a round up of what i think. i think LDJ could be a prolific goal scorer in a few years, especially with suarez. LDJ scores goals with little to no talent at twente except the little winger fellow. imagine him and suarez or anyone else to help him. a miny torres (SPIT) if you will.

Unfortunately we will not sign belhanda, susaeta or soldado. this is because these are players that are good and dalglish only buys bad players
