hi eds very good rumour site. i love it.

i wanna know about the earlier interrest in steven defour. he plays for porto now. he was a brilliant prospect! i dont know how he is performing in porto but are the top clubs still interested in him?
what about liverpool?

bill {Ed001's Note - I have no idea, not heard of any talk surrounding him since he made the move there.}

Hi ed I can help out with this one porto's transfer dealings are being investigated over letterbox funding( business with address in UK that doesn't exist)
Porto signed a striker from international that was funded by letterbox company player has since left on loan back to south America ( his name escapes me at moment) The transfers mangale & Defour are to b looked at also. As for his performance on field hes in & out of side at present.
Espur

Defour was an excelllent talent and prospect. But his performance in porto shows us the quality of belgium league. He is not that dominating in porto, his performances have been disapointing. Timr will tell how good he can become, but it is starting to be late. i dont belive he will make it in a top 6 club in EPL.

i have today spoke to my people itk they can today confirm that some of the players i mentioned signing last night may be right footed also they maybe left footed and they will in all probability be male FACT you may think this is a smokescreen but
watch this space
mystic mike

I think you are on to something! My sauce told me that the players we sign in summer will all have hair, or they will be bald. My sauce also told me that most will have hands and almost all of them will have the ability to run to some degree.

Just a side-question, it isn't weird to talk to ketchup, is it?

Jolly Red

Wasn't funny yesterday , and still not

Do you actually speak to your people or do you use braille or sign language?

Regardless you will be proved wrong when LFC sign Abby Wambach to strengthen their forward line.

Through the Storm

Wow this guy is not funny GIVE UP

Well im glad they may have a left foot and may have a right foot.. infact i am so happy that they may have two feet to stand on.... Are you having a laf??

Heres my take on hazzard. He is declaring an interest in the leagues that offer the most in terms of transfer fees and wages. This is to stir up interest in the big teams. Man city, united, Chelsea, arsenal and liverpool in England. Madrid and Barcelona in Spain and the Milan teams and juve in Italy. This is a ploy by his manager to get the best price for his client and a bigger agents fee for himself. Don't be surprised if he also has a "dream" about playing in Paris.
For this reason I don't want him and his money grabbing ways at Liverpool.
If his agent approaches Liverpool and Liverpool alone saying he is desperate to play for Liverpool because of our history, his desire to play for kenny in front of the best fans in the world and is willing to play for reasonable wages then I would change my opinion of him.

MIKEY

A bit harsh to characterize him as a money grabber if you've never had a word with the lad, and I think even he's not sure where he wants to play.

McSnuggles

Wake up,their all the same

Haha Lpool are currently 6th in the league, have shown a moderate and I say moderate desire considering we've hardly brought in world beaters and its a speculative at the moment to get a champs league spot. Hmm I'm sure Hazard will be beating our door down. :-S

I'd rather Eriksen anyway.

He's been whoring himself to all of europes elite clubs. Clear as day to me. It's a shame modern footballers with so much promise just go to the highest bidder and not who is going to best for there football career

MIKEY

He's probably one of the 3 most highly rated "available" players in the summer (others being Cavani and Neymar IMO), so ONLY massive clubs are gonna be in for him. It's almost certain he'll be first team wherever he goes, so why wouldn't he look for the best deal available? A deal that, sadly, won't be on offer from Liverpool. No chance of Hazard i'm afraid.

Rugby Parker

Hazard has a reputation as an egotist. I have seen nothing to counter this rumored trait. There are plenty of good players out there - he is not the only one. He can go where he pleases.

The reason I believe we wont sign Hazard is because he has not got the desire to wear the red shirt, unlike every other signing KK has made, so I cant see KK entertaining him. Great talent, but in IMO too interested in himself rather than the team. The Robster.

Can't blame a kid for taking the money, though. After all, it is a career with which he's trying to set up a retirement for hopefully him and future generations...

McSnuggles {Ed001's Note - whichever team he signs for will pay him enough to live on for the rest of his life. It is just greed if he is choosing the money.}

Well said mate! totally agree with your views.

I think it's a bit harsh to say it's greed to choose the money ed. He's a young Belgian who's spent the latter years of his life in France, he's not gonna have a particular allegiance to a foreign team, be it English, Spanish or Italian. As I said earlier, wherever he goes, the club's gonna be challenging for honours, so the only 2 factors I can see influencing his decision is the money on offer and if he gets a particularly good feeling from talks with a specific club. We don't know where he'll be going, but i'm sure whatever decision he makes will be for the best for him and his family.

Rugby Parker {Ed001's Note - it is greed to choose the money when you don't need money. What else can you call it?}

If you were hazard why would you come to Liverpool unless you were a fan? no champs league and not challenging for the league and on less money.
He can go to any team he wants, be pretty much first team, play champs league, challenge for titles and make a bundle of cash!
I think we should forget the hazards, cavanis of this world until we are back to regular champions league and regular success

Every team in europe wants hazard, he has recently said he would be interested in a move to prem, to a.club where he would be guaranteed first team football, probably in.champs league. So guarantee of first team takes out Man City, where others.will be ahead of him in pecking order. Chelsea maybe, but Mata is there main wide man, United have Nani and Valencia, Arsenal could.offer first team, but if we push for fourth then that would take arsenal and chelsea out. Tottenham caunt really afford him. We have Joe Cole over there as a make weight. If we get champs league its possible, but keep in mind that hazard recently declared.an interest in spain and previous to that italy. Just watcj and wait, its the only way.

Didnt he also mention a great History? If he did it only really leaves 2 teams us and united

MJ

If he's as good as everyone seems to think he is, surely he'd get regular 1st team football at any club? I wouldn't rule out Man City, especially if they win the league.

Rugby Parker

You'd make room if you had Hazard. He would get into almost any team in the world bar Barca and Real.

Ash

Tired of the obsession with Hazard. And his constant references to what will suit him makes him sound like a complete egotist (which he apparently is). Don't want him at LFC.

any developments on the stadium issue? I would have thought that an announcement would have been made by now {Ed002's Note - Nothing I am aware of.}

False promises ...Where have i heard this before Deja Vous {Ed002's Note - Vu.}

03 Feb 2012 15:52:45
Stop asking and dreaming about Hazard, Cavani etc. now. We can start thinking about the players if CL next season is guaranteed. Until that, there's no point speculating. I wish the best players would come to LFC in the summer but a)the squad is quite good, b)there's no chance in my opinion that LFC will be willing to pay 150thousand or so/week, c)champions league spot is a must to persuade so called "big names" to come to the club. We know that we need a striker, right winger, maybe a playmaker, and if Johnson leaves a RB, although Kelly is great and can easily take that spot.

No need for Johnson to leave , he should be playing right wing and squeezing out kuyt! Leaving Kelly to play RB!

Hey Eds

I know it's a long shot But Eden Hazard will be on the move in the summer,what are our chances of getting him?

Thanks

Marc {Ed001's Note - I don't know, it's a long way off.}

More chance of the next pope being black then hazard joining liverpool

A lot depends on what happens by the end of the season and where we are in the league, obviously players such as Hazard will want Champions league so if we can achieve that then we would stand more chance of getting quality players.

Hazard will not be coming he is either going city or chelski get a grip an move on there's plenty more fish in the sea hope I haven't broke your heart

Hi Ed's,

Do you think attacking midfielder Diego could be a possible signing in the summer he is still only 26 and has won more than 30 caps for Brazil. He is currently on loan at Atletico Madrid from Wolfsburg and will be out of contract in the summer. Think he could be the missing link going forward, would play a similar role to Mata and Silva. I know he has had issues with his attitude or he did when he was younger but he is a fantastic player and if things didnt work out we could always sell him for a nice little proffit.

Thanks

WB {Ed002's Note - I very much doubt Liverpool would take the significant risk that comes with Diego.}

Ed, you make too much of these supposed Diego risks. There are no significant risks that come with Diego that surpasses those that came with Suarez or that would have come with Tevez had we succeeded in loaning him from mancity.

Should Diego be free in summer, Kenny and Commolli will surely kop him. He is truly the creative missing link in our midfield.

BooDaBooze {Ed001's Note - how do you figure that out? His wages are much higher than Suarez, that is a significant difference. There is also the fact that he has fallen out with staff and team mates just about everywhere he has gone. Suarez has been highly regarded by his team mates and the staff at the clubs he has played at. Diego has never lived up to his hype and has done nothing to make him worth buying.}

Diego is a class player but i doubt that Atletico would let him go. They have the option of buying him after the loan spell.
A pity Kenny did not take the chance on him when he had the chance to buy him. Diego would have been our own Silva/Mata/Modric.

I come from Luxembourg, so I watch Bundeslige quite a lot, and I therefore know Diego quite well. He has a huge attitude problem. He was great at Werder Bremen, he was s**t at Juventus and Wolfsburg where he left the team in a crucial last game to avoid relegation! I don't want somebody like him at this club! I don't want to take that risk and waste huge wages on someone like that!

Wages aren't fixed in stones, ed. The player would take a wage cut if only to play for a club like LFC. He said that himself.

BooDaBooze {Ed001's Note - I would rather get players who want to play for us, rather than troublemakers who are just desperate to get out of the place they are in.}

Is Suarez living up to his hype at LFC, ED? How many goals has he scored for us this season? This is no arguement at all for every player go through down phases in their career. But i would understand if you have issues with the player personally, hence your bias but he is an excellent playmaker whose ability is there for all to see. Even you cannot deny that, ed.

BooDaBooze {Ed001's Note - yes I can, he has been awful every time I have seen him play and I have seen a lot of him. He offers nothing but whining and moaning and upsetting his team mates.}

Hi eds, has nordfeldt signed?
{Ed009's Note - I believe the deal has been completed.}

03 Feb 2012 10:25:26
Villarreal striker Nilmar is set to stay at the club until the summer at least after Sao Paulo revealed a deal to bring him back to Brazil has collapsed.

ANY CHANCE FOR LIVERPOOL ? Villarreal IS FINANCIALY SUFFER WE MAY TARGET THIER PLAYER. FEW NAME GUYS WHO CAN BE HIT IN LIVERPOOL.

ABCD. {Ed009's Note - I suppose a chance. That said I know of no interest and his lack of strength could leave him a bit exposed in the Premier League.}

hy ed(s),is there any players of spurs who is doutful or missing the liverpool game due to injuries or suspension?n if there is whu r they?
They are only team who have beaten us in home since Kd took over.... {Ed009's Note - Patently, Lucas remains unavailable. That aside I believe we have all of our first team to select from. Hey - we could even play Aurelio if we wanted!}

Wot about Gerrard as he missed the wolves game with injury, is he now fit?

Im sure he meant any players from spurs that wont be playing.

OUT - Bentley, Gallas, Jenas
DOUBTFUL - Lennon, Defoe
DUE TO RETURN FROM INJURY - Adebayor, Van De Vaart, Walker

See physioroom.com

Through the Storm

Gerrard was rested. I think Adebayor and van der Vaart have hamstring injuries don't they? {Ed002's Note - Hamstring and calf.}

Hey EDs great work sometimes. but do you think you can post posts once? like tevez ones? tad bit stupid and repetitive they should learn to read earlier ones. that being said here's one i bet has not been brought up for a while.

Marek Hamsik of Napoli seems to think he will leave in the summer. he and skrtel are international teamates is there any interest? we have had some in the past.

as well we have hendo adam texeira shelvey lucas spearing coady for the future. and of course Gerrard but he will thin in years.

so bottom line is there still genuine interest in this player besides Man Utd and Chelsea?
{Ed009's Note - I imagine United could take a dip in the water on a player who would provide a fantastic young alternative to the relatively ageing Sneijder. I am afraid I can't see Liverpool spending so much on an expensive player when the wings and forward positions need more immediate attention. Then again, Kenny has a penchant for bringing in central midfielders.}

Reds back in NextGen Series

Liverpool's U19 team were today reinstated into the NextGen Series after Tottenham Hotspur withdrew from the competition.

The young Reds lost 1-0 in the quarter-final stage at White Hart Lane earlier in the week but will now take their place in the last four of the tournament.

@nbstw

|InWhy did they withdraw? {Ed009's Note - Ineligible player.}

Which player was it, Ed?

Keith {Ed001's Note - I don't know, there is some confusion about it.}

Rumours emerging of Kenny trying Suarez as a Right winger on his return,thoughts please everyone?

Kenny doesn't announce his team until a few hours before, utter-tosh in my opinion
Lfcmatt

Im not so sure about that who would play up front

It would certainly draw those packed defences out ...can't help thinking he'd be better on the left though. And give Johnson a bit of a run on the right wing, ahead of Kelly - it seems kinda obvious ...doesn't it?

Raised Eyebrow

I think he could be dangerous there and I certainly think it would work eventually. But, I think it would be a waste of his talent. His best positions in my opinion are just off the main striker or as a lone striker and these utilise more of his abilities than at RW. Just my opinion though.

ChrisMiz

Bad idea. Suarez, whilst brilliant, is a selfish player. He'd take the ball , run with it, beat players and then shoot and miss because he'd given himself too much work to do.

I see him more as a left winger. He was a left winger against United in the 3-1 defeat and that worked well. He shall not make passes to Carroll from the right side, but he shall score goals with his strong leg from the left winger position

Would rather he played off Carroll for the obvious knockdowns/flick ons & Bellamy on the right. But think he could play anywhere in attack. But more effective in the centre.

I,d play carrol up front, downing on the left,gerrard on the right(best crosser of the ball we have) and I'd play suarez behing carrol as CAM/SS with henderson and spearing in the center of midfield...sorted

I would love to see an attacking trio of Bellamy, Gerrard and Suarez behind Carroll...

Don't think so
a) who would score goals
b) he lacks pace
c) he is not a great crosser of the ball

We cannot put another class striker out wide, he is our main striking threat, it would work.well with big lad up top then suarez, bellamy and kuyt rotating on lw, rw and alongside carroll, but we cannot simply send suarez out right

I think someone may be trying to make what they perceive to be a humorous comment i.e that Suarez is politically right wing etc.

By Jove, I think you're right - it was a humorous comment! I feel humbled...

Raised Eyebrow (but the other one this time)

Suarez actually started his career as a winger! He played Mostly on the left but can do just as well on the right. Due to his positioning, skill and goalscoring ability he was pushed up more, in a role similar to Villa or Pedro at Barca. He played just as well until Ajax I think were having attacking problems with injuries etc and he slotted in as there spearhead.
My opinion of suarez on the wing is why having we tried that yet??

--------------Reina-------------
Johnson--Agger--Coates--Enrique
-------Henderson--Adam--------
Suarez------Gerrard------Downing
--------------Carroll-------------

Thats my team for Tottenham

I would have Bellamy in b4 Downing,and skrtel and Agger have been doing great as a partnership.

I do think he'll play 433 with either Bellamy or Downing on the LW. Suarez on the RW and Andy up top.

He plays quite a bit on the left side of a front three for Uruguay, interchanging with Cavani. If he was to perform there for us, I think it might be as part of a front four with Carroll spearheading, Gerrard or Kuyt on the right and Bellamy just behind, with all three having the ability to interchange.

My fantasy team out of what we've got available would be Gerrard just in front of Spearing, Suarez or Bellamy ahead of them, Carroll up top.

So my line up based on form and attacking ability would be

Reina

Kelly Skrtel Agger Enrique

Spearing

Gerrard

Kuyt < > Suarez < > Bellamy

Carroll

Sean

We can do that when we have better strikers.

Hi original poster. I merely stated what was mentioned on Radio City.LmFao at paranoid poster,thinking was sarcastic political gain.Jesus,lighten up with persecution complex la.Was genuine post

Kuyt will be playing right wing to try nullify Bale's threat
