Just seen reports Liverpool had a bid for higuian excepted? Surely that's a joke that's a couple of months too late?

Unless we have an extra striker outgoing (on top of Benteke leaving) why would we be going after more strikers? We have Ings, Sturridge and Origi as well as Firmino who can play there. I have faith (and hope) that Klopp will not do a Rodgers and will instead look to reinforce where we really need it, subject to important player outgoings.

Clearly it's a LB, the GK we've taken care of and as the Eds ave said - a pacey wide player.

Liverpool f c needs to clear out the likes of Benteke, Ings, Balotelli, and Luis Alberto. Higuan is an experienced striker, we should bid for him as there is no yet offer from liverpool for the striker. But, what we really need is a player that have almost. the same quality with Luis Suarez or Fernando Torres (2007 Fitness and form) .

We have been linked with Higuain for every summer for the last 7 or so years.

He'd be too expensive and despite his talents, he's not a priority for the squad.

It is not going to happen!

01 Jun 2016 09:21:07
Er, Baldheadedstooge, why on EARTH do we need to clear out Ings?!?!? he was one of the few bright sparks before injury, and his style of play and versatility is perfect for Klopp's system! The lad's had a handful of games for Liverpool (6!) and is 23.

Clear out Benteke and perhaps sturridge if a big offer like 40mil comes along. Then we can think of Higuain.

Ings is a promising player. a season long loan could really help his shape.

Agree1 Disagree20

01 Jun 2016 14:32:56
I would not be shocked to see Sturridge leave. if that happens, then I can see higuain being a possibility. Personally I think that would be a huge mistake by Klopp.

01 Jun 2016 22:28:34
Ings doesn't need a season long loan. he has premiership experience already and once back fully fit will no doubt prove his worth to the team. He was quality for burnley and for us early in season before his unfortunate injury.

Hi Eds and reds,

You mentioned el ghazi as a possibility last night and said you expect to hear more about him as the transfer window goes on, do you believe he is a top target of ours and we have a real chance of signing him?

Believable1 Unbelievable16

{Ed002's Note - I have explained for the last 6 months that Liverpool have been looking at El Ghazi. I cannot give any assurances about whether he will move to Anfield or not.}

31 May 2016 10:35:02
He looks like some player on youtube.

But so did Oussama Assaidi.

Why do I even look any more.

Agree16 Disagree13

31 May 2016 10:45:11
Joe that's exactly when I stopped looking at YouTube for players I was convinced assaidi was coming in to win us the league single handedly ha.

31 May 2016 11:32:57
I've watched El Ghazi pretty regularly. I think MK pretty much got it spot on in his summation.

Youtube shows his better games at the start of the season. He really needs to work hard but Klopp will have time to work with him without Champs league football. Good buy IMO.

Any truth that the transfer of Sinclair to Watford, which is going to be settled via tribunal as a fee couldn't be agreed, is now the reason Zielinski deal is dead?

Pozzo family not happy and won't deal with LFC.

Believable1 Unbelievable18

{Ed002's Note - Udinese are pissed off because Klopp illegally tapped up one of their players and with his head turned, Liverpool should have done the right thing and bought him at the asking price. But no, they wished to argue about the price. That is the issue with Zielinski. As for Sinclair, it may have smoothed the situation a little if Liverpool had taken a sensible approach - but they are not a club to show respect to other clubs or players leaving - we know that from their happily screwing up things for Spearing last season.}

31 May 2016 09:47:25
Thanks Ed. with talk of a possible sale of the club, we in general like FSG as owners. Maybe compared to previous ones or just with how we see the club b progressing.
However, as a man in the know, would you see FSG leaving a good thing in the way of how they conduct themselves in amongst the football world? Can't say what the next ones will be like of course, but these guys seem to tarnish the club with their way with other clubs.
Just your opinion, not looking to draw you into a slagfest against fsg or anything.

Agree2 Disagree13

{Ed002's Note - Actually, very large numbers of people from this site have done little more than turn against FSG since they would not sign multiple "marquee" players every summer - and regardless of their repeated efforts to buy the league. They have been good owners who have stabalized the club. I have explained internally that there are investors in FSG who see the club as a money pit and see the influx of new money from TV as a boost to the value and a time to cut and run.}

Hi eds, heard Mkhytaryan, aubamenyang is not renewing contract with liverpool. Do u think these players went dortmund to play for klopp? If yes, then shouldn't we be gg after these players? Are wages really a stumbling block?

Believable1 Unbelievable15

{Ed001's Note - it is almost certainly nothing to do with us. Both are looking to go elsewhere.}

31 May 2016 07:50:14
Sorry i meant with dortmund, lol.

Looks like Samed Yesil to Trazbonspor is more or less done. He will join now that his contract expires and I feel that he is someone who hasn't really progressed other the last couple of years . Hopefully the lad gets some game time in Turkey and enjoys his football.

Rumours that Sturridge is going to be left out of the England squad. While I'll be gutted for him, from a liverpool point of view it won't be the worst thing. I think he needs to stay active to keep his muscles working but a few weeks off; whilst not injured, will do him good.
