Ed, have we shown any interest in Jordy Clasie, Adam Maher and Memphis Depay? {Ed001's Note - yes, yes and no idea.}

Do you believe there is a chance if getting either of the two we've expressed interest in?

Do you believe there is a chance if getting either of the two we've expressed interest in? {Ed001's Note - depends if we actually move for them or not. Most interest goes nowhere.}

Hi eds, are any clubs interested in Luke Shaw?

Thanks Ghandi Floss {Ed001's Note - yes. Arsenal tried to buy him in the summer.}

What was the reply? Other than the obvious no, was it for more money? etc

ChrisMiz {Ed001's Note - Arsenal wouldn't get near the asking price.}

I think he is an amazing prospect. Do Liverpool have an interest in him?

Ghandi Floss {Ed001's Note - there was past interest in him, but we showed no signs of moving for him recently. I would be very surprised if we made any kind of move for him, we have no need of a young full back, we have a surfeit of them right now.}

Hi Ed's what do you reckon to Miralem Sulejmani as a player?

He is available and allowed to leave in january. Think he would be a great addition as a forward/winger. Scored some cracking goals over the years. Only 23 so has some good years ahead of him. Also with west ham, Valencia and Bayer Leverkusen interested surely we can match them on wages? {Ed002's Note - But Liverpool has no interest in him.}

He's much too selfish.

Just watching highlights of the arsenal game. Wallcot is going from strength to strength.

He's young. Strong. Pacy and British. He could cover for Suarez. Go down the middle or play in the switching front three.

I never used to rate him but now I think he's exactly what Liverpool need and wouldn't mind if we paid 20 mil for him. I hear he could be available for as little as 8. And I'm sure he'd love to play for the club he supports?

Has there been any development in our interest as I think we should be busting a nut for him. {Ed002's Note - From my perspective I still think that a new deal coul be agreed and a new contract signed by Walcott. However, in January, if no deal has been agreed he will be able to talk with the likes of Juventus who have apparently shown tentative interest. There remains the thought that Liverpool would be interested in taking him, although they cannot speak to him without the club agreeing before the end of the season. Arsenal can easily stonewall a move in January so I don't know if Walcott will even be available for a move then - nor what other options he would have if he were. Deciding to leave Arsenal may not enhance his career, particularly if he wants to stay in England.}

What's the earliest date Sterling could possibly sign a new contract? I thought it would be likely after his 18th Birthday, not before. All this fuss is mute until then, isn't it?

We can't offer him an adult contract until he officially turns 18. Also surely there would be review if a certain criteria or targets were reached or achieved, or if it was felt an improved contract was to be rewarded or something, i'm sure.

I think Suarez signed a contract with us and only a year and a half later he signed an improved contract. Sterling is younger and has been on apprentice wagers, for footballers. He's in his break through season and we'll no doubt look to tie him down on an adult contract, when he reaches legal adulthood, not before!

Am i wrong? Is this incorrect? Have the rules and legalities suddenly walked out the door? FHS a website do my head in.

The thing with walcott is this, yes he would want the money and that would be down to any club to match what arsenal offer him? Its where he plays! Thats the issue? Walcott himself wants to play through the middle! So if anyone matches arsenal's offer and guaranteed him that forward birth then they stand a chance of landing the player? Just one other thing the arsenal fans I know would swap him for lennon in a heartbeat!!

Wouldn't you rather go for Scott Sinclair

Arsenal could stop him moving...but they will lose out in the summer when he leaves for free so there loss

As an outsider I think Walcott would be mad to leave Arsenal. He will never be a regular starter in any PL team above Arsenal i.e. Chelsea, United or City - so why leave? And don't tell me so he can play as a striker, he is far from proven there so no top team would buy him for that position

Gav

Walcott will sign for Liverpool in the last hour of the last day of the transfer window. (Delayed by sad sack Wenger)
He wants to live his dream of playing for Liverpool? And why not: He knows that playing in a front 3 with Suarez who vacates the centre and goes out left and right, will give him the opportunity to go down the centre when Suarez does this.

@kidmillions I dont remember hearing liverpool is walcott's dream! As ed mentioned a move to lfc would not enhance his career at this point. i doubt he would want to sacrifice champs league at his age and realistically lfc will find it hard to qualify for the forseeable future given the competition

Hi, has or is the any interest in Simon kjaer, good solid cb, or dcm, only 23 and his style would suit english football, would wolfsburg welcome offers and what sort of fee would they want
Cheers {Ed002's Note - Roma did not take up the 10M euros option to buy Kjaer in the summer. Lille and Metalist enquired but it went no further. He had a major issue with Wolfsburg's Magath but even though he has now gone Kjaer is looking to leave and a move to Genoa beckons.}

Hey ed, have you heard anything of Freddy Montero, coming in from Sounders FC on trial initially? I really hope that the talk of Coates leaving isn't true, doesn't Brendan rate him?
Hutch {Ed002's Note - I don't know of FM arriving but it has been raised before. I don't know what Rodgers feelings are regarding Coates, but there is interested in the player from Italy.}

Coates is going to be a really good player, he is only young and will get games, hope he don't leave.

Rodgers doesnt seem to like any player signed by dalgish. i think he would rather tie a game then give dalgish players a chance.

Hi eds. How are we?
Considering the situation with sigurdsson at spurs is there a chance he could become available for loan/transfer in jan or perhaps the summer?
I imagine rodgers is still a fan of him.
Thanks for your time
Puzzled Red {Ed002's Note - I have no knowledge of any "situation" with Sigurdsson and he won't be moving to Liverpool in January.}

Sorry ed, I wasn't being very clear, by 'situation' I was simply referring to his lack of game time. You are correct there is no 'situation' as such. {Ed002's Note - OK.}

If he didn't want to come to Liverpool in the summer and chose Spurs instead, then we don't want him.
He obviously is not the right type for our club

Morning Eds.

I appreciate a cb is perhaps not a priority right now but do Liverpool have any degree of interest in ogbonna of torino or benatia of udinese?

Thank you, keep up the good work.

Puzzled Red {Ed002's Note - Since last spring, Roma, AC Milan and Manchester United have all made enquiries with Torino regarding the sale of Ogbonna who at one time interested Arsenal and Lyn Oslo. The summer might be a more likely time to move. Mehdi Benatia turned down PSG in the summer but still interests Juventus. Spurs, Milan, and possibly Manchester United have shown recent interest.}

He would be the best option of a defender if we are buying one.

BigD

Hi Eds is it true liverpool are gonna swap andy carroll for demba ba plus 8million plz let me know if you hear any news thanx {Ed002's Note - Andy Carroll is on loan for the season.}

Ed-002 In defence of the poster, they only asked if there was any truth in the possibility of the swap, everybody and their dog knows he is on loan for the season at west ham. {Ed002's Note - So what would you like me to say -a s clearly the truth is an issue.}

30 Nov 2012 08:27:46
Its says today we are intrested in Stefan de vrji for 3.5million?
And we supposed to be really intrested in oscar carozso from benfica for 8million any truth in this eds?
Sorry for the spelling lol
Ynwa {Ed002's Note - I am not aware of any interest from Liverpool in de Vrij but Arsenal enquired last year. Because he has not signed a new deal he seems to be linked with a different club everyday. Zenit have shown an interest in Oscar Cardoza and Liverpool had someone watch him in Washington DC during August. But for me it seems likely he will sign a new contract at Benfica.}

Pretty sure it's Cardozo....?

Ed's, is there any word on the youngster from Feyenoord, he's an exciting new prospect, his name is Tonny Vilhena , search him u, he's sick!! {Ed002's Note - He won't be moving to Liverpool in January.}

We have signed plenty of injured players in the past , we really shouldn't be signing sick ones as well .

30 Nov 2012 00:06:28
Ed's, do you think one of the potential loanees may be Tello? I have heard that one could be Jeffren but Rodgers said a couple.

Ozred {Ed002's Note - There won't be a couple - the rules don't allow it.}

What rules are against this please?

As I understand you can have 4 players u23 and 4 over 23.

You can have a maximum of 2 player over 23 from any one club.

What am I missing?

Thanks {Ed002's Note - I really don't know what rules you are thinking of but the Premier League do not allow anything of the sort.}

So what are the rules Ed can you clarify please. Or could you at least tell us where to find the rules.

Thank you, its appreciated.

RAH, YNWA {Ed002's Note - 4 players in a season, no more than two at a time, no more than one from any one club. Exceptions - goalkeepers on emergency loans and players on loan with a contracted purchase - not an option.}

What are the rules then?

Just stating those are the rules isn't much help.

Are they only allowed one player? Sure this isnt true as Swansea had 3 last year?

Thanks {Ed002's Note - See previous answers.}

I believe those rules only apply to domestic loans. If loaning from an international club I thought they didn't apply.

American Red {Ed002's Note - They seem explicit to me.}

There are different rules for the premier league compared to the football league, which can make it confusing as well. The football league allows more than the Premier league.

If anyone wants more clarification, google "Premier League Handbook 2012/13", go to page 180/181 and look at sections V.5 to V.10, where it sets out the rules!

JammyRed {Ed002's Note - I agree that if Liverpool get relegated I am wrong.}

So there can be two then? Or to put it another way a couple.
