Salah agent took a plane to London today, after liking Liverpool Fc on social media. Am I being giddy or is something happening, because we have previously been linked to salah!

The lad who couldn't settle in england. Probably 2 and 2 getting 1000000000000.

Drumming up interest in his player.

Agree4 Disagree2

30 May 2017 22:13:24
Not sure how to feel about the salah link. He didn't do well last time he was in the prem, and I don't like the idea of both mane and him going to the african cup of nations.

Would rather commit to game time for brandt and then at least we still have a wide player when mane goes.

Agree5 Disagree2

30 May 2017 23:13:33
You mean in 2 years. wouldn't be a worry. Surely add someone else next summer.

If this is an option now so we have some more cash for the likes of a lb, cb, rb and st. Then so be it.

Agree1 Disagree0

01 Jun 2017 11:08:22
Yes OP, you are being too giddy. Jordz, I wouldn't want Salah either cos he failed to settle and cos he rejected us the last time, not cos he and Mane will be off to the AFCON as it is the player's right to play for his country or not. I would take Brandt instead.

Just read that lyon and monaco have both expressed interest in signing origi.

We could do a swap for Mbappe?

Don't see us selling him, unless Klopp bought Solanke to take his place.

Agree4 Disagree0

30 May 2017 21:45:27
Physicality wise solanke and orogi seem similar, seems odd to have both, but would rather origi as he goals and premier league experienxe now.

01 Jun 2017 11:09:13
Origi is not going anywhere. N BTW, why can't we have both of them?

Hi guys seen a lot of negative posts on here today over sessegnon potentially signing for spurs and kieta staying where he is. My uncles best friend works for Fulham and after torturing him for a few days about what was happening with sessegnon he confirmed what both Ed 001 and Ed 002 have continually told us that Fulham are loath to doing any business with us. Sessegnon would have been interested in playing for Liverpool tho but Fulham prefer to deal with spurs.
Thanks for all the hard work eds.

{Ed001's Note - thank you Tags.}

Why not just say sorry for messing them about?

30 May 2017 18:37:29
A few million on top might make them re-evaluate.

Have we shown any sign of trying to repair the damage we've self inflicted upon our name at all?

We can't sign players from Fulham, my heart's broken. Always wanted Matt Smith leading the line.

Agree3 Disagree5

31 May 2017 09:19:26
Can someone explain why exactly Fulham are angry at us?

As much as i remember, it was agreed between Fulham and LFC about the Dempsey's transfer, and they were the ones to start talks with Spurs after that, which allowed them to hijack the transfer. Isn't it us who should be angry, and them who should be sorry?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - you remember incorrectly, we tapped up Dempsey, who then put in a transfer request to Fulham. We then tried to get him on the cheap, because he had handed in a transfer request after being tapped up by us. It was simply because of the breakdown in relations between Dempsey and the club that he then ended up at Spurs on deadline day.}

30 May 2017 17:16:07
The club have now officially confirmed that Solanke will join the club in the 1st of July.

Welcome to Liverpool Football Club Dominic lad!

Few people saying Sessengnon won't be coming and we are not chasing him any longer. Has something happened eds please?

Believable2 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - as has been said all along it is difficult to get Fulham to even discuss business with us.}

30 May 2017 17:02:21
Whats the problem with fulham. bad blood from the past or sometething.? Or just reluctant to sell?

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - bad blood as has been explained we have not smoothed over the waters since tapping up Clint Dempsey.}

30 May 2017 17:13:14
Ok mate cheers for reply. Plenty more options out there.

Agree2 Disagree0

30 May 2017 17:50:55
what price sorry eh, you would have thought Liverpool would have sorted this whole embarrassing episode out, this has cost us the signing of highly rated player in a problem position, and with all due respect all because we wanted to sign clint Dempsey!

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - it hasn't necessarily cost us anything, it just makes things more difficult. We should sort it out though.}

30 May 2017 17:58:21
More options but I have a feeling this lad could be quality, he has looked really good in the games I have seen and he's only 16! You can never be sure how players will develop but I think someone could have a special player on their hands.

Agree2 Disagree0

30 May 2017 20:01:08
do you think there is still a chance we can sign him then?, or is it very likely he's off to spurs.

Agree1 Disagree0

30 May 2017 22:07:35
Ed001 or Ed002 what should we do to smooth things over with Fulham in your opinions? It's so frustrating because by all accounts according to my uncles best mate the lad is genuinely interested in moving to us.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Stop treating other sides so badly and trailing slime to avoid a prosecution. It is not hard.}

30 May 2017 18:54:13
has he definitely gone to spurs ed 01 or is there still hope. we are miles behind spurs as it is without them having him for the future.

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed001's Note - until he signs there is always hope, but we are not exactly pushing for his signature right now. I have no issue with that, but I do wish we would try and smooth the waters anyway for the future. Our rep is in the toilet over transfers, that is not the way it should be.}

Both Andy Hunter from the Guardian and Chris Bascombe from the Telegraph are reporting today that we're signing Dominic Solanke for our u23s initially.

Cheers,

Believable8 Unbelievable1

30 May 2017 14:45:24
Very happy with the signing of Dominic Solanke. He is a deadly finisher, broken all kinds of records at youth level, and could really benefit from developing in our U23 squad before being moved up. Also, 2-3 million for a quality youth player who Mourinho has previously ear marked to be a big player for Chelsea and England, to the point that he said if Solanke didn't make the first team that it would be down to his, Mourinho's fault. Huge praise from a man who rarely gives it.

However, there does seem to be a down side to potential signings today. And that is that it looks like Ryan Sessegnon will be moving to Tottenham instead of us. The boy wants to stay in London, apparently, and fair play to the lad. Tottenham is a fantastic place for youngsters to develop and be given opportunities, unlike teams like Chelsea, City and United. So Sessegnon is clealy not moving to Tottenham for the money, he is moving because of further development and opportunities. A shame, as I think the lad had tremendous ability for someone his age, but we move on. Simple as that.

First time poster, long time reader. Im not ITK and never had a rumour to post before, but a reliable friend of mine has a working connection to the Ox's father, and expects his son to sign for LFC this summer. No idea where he would fit into the team, and unsure if this would be a good signing - just passing on what iv been told. Huge fan of the site - thanks for all the great info eds.

I work at a health club and had the Liverpool Secretary come in on a day pass as his partner lives in the area. He said any transfer info are released to Paul Joyce, James Pierce and co at the echo and that "there will be some truth in what you read. " I asked a very questions (which he smirked about) and he said he expected two signings in the next two weeks just waiting on the other clubs. He said 6 signings 2 young not for youth. I said like a squad player or loan back out and he said "something like that. " Also use to be a united fan as a kid but had to change after working at liverpool fc. Read the site regularly let's hope some great signings for the club. Up the red men.

Afternoon Eds, hope you are all well. I've just had a mate text me saying that we have apparently signed Solanke, any truth in it? Also, Ed002, if you're about, seen as your a Chelsea fan I was wondering what your opinion was on him? Thanks guys.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Chelsea thought very highly of him but his "representative" made a ridiculous wage demand and he refused to sign a new contract. Even though the player himself then reduced his demands Chelsea are not a side to be held hostage over player demands. Celtic and RBL had both already spoken with the player.}

30 May 2017 12:40:43
The player has signed for LFC confirmed on SSN.

Agree7 Disagree1

30 May 2017 12:42:47
Okay, thanks Ed, if he does sign for Liverpool then I hope he's ditched that representative, we don't need another Sterling.

{Ed002's Note - It is his step father.}

30 May 2017 12:44:56
a few reliable Journalists claim he has been signed?

it doesn't say anything on sky yet.

{Ed002's Note - The kid is in Korea, so you will need Sky Asia.

30 May 2017 13:32:57
It's not confirmed at all. It's reported on sky that we've "won the race" however nowhere does it say he's signed. It seems they're saying he will sign when he can but he hasn't yet.

Have it on very good authority from a former player and close friend of his father that Oxlade-Chamberlain wants to be a Liverpool player and negotiations are advanced.

Believable8 Unbelievable14

30 May 2017 08:55:55
Personally think if we can get him for a reasonable price he would be a decent àddition.

Agree6 Disagree10

{Ed025's Note - is there such thing as a reasonable price these days erroll?..

30 May 2017 09:21:12
I agree erroll I believe he would be a decent signing too, could fill a few positions when there are injuries side to his versatility. Still question marks over his own injury record. Still think he'd be worth a punt, no more than 25 mil though.

Agree6 Disagree10

30 May 2017 10:16:26
Play him rb like in ge final?

Agree1 Disagree8

30 May 2017 10:30:00
He played left back in the final and was awful.

Play him on the right wing or in attacking midfield where he is best.

Agree4 Disagree6

30 May 2017 12:07:20
he is bang average, we shouldn't even be having this conversation, we need top quality if we are to get to the next level, we recruited badly the last time we made the cl, let's not make the same mistake again, our rivals will be buying the very best, we need to do the same.

Agree11 Disagree5

30 May 2017 12:07:20
Well for a start he can cover either wing and CM so for me it's a win win if we get him for no more than 25mil.

Agree4 Disagree9

30 May 2017 12:47:14
All depends on price, 15-20 million not a bad squad player to have. wouldn't suggest he would displace the front 3/ 4 when all are fit.

Agree2 Disagree8

30 May 2017 16:23:21
People slagging off signings like this are not seeing the big picture, he is a reliable, experienced premiership player that's willing to graft for his team. You can't sign a while squad of world beaters, you need utility players that can cover multiple positions and work horses to get you through a season. IF he signs it will add a better depth to our squad so we aren't reliant on filling the bench with 16/ 17 year olds for champions league because of injuries.

Good business in my opinion.

Agree7 Disagree7

30 May 2017 19:23:54
So spend up to 25 million on someone who is high risk at getting injured to cover injuries?

Agree4 Disagree0

30 May 2017 19:52:08
How can he be reliable when he is often injured, Creg? Also when fit, he is still not good enough and won't start ahead of any of or first eleven. If it is for depth then that is another discussion BUT for now, he is not good enough and will not be a plus to our squad. KK is right on the money here and no, Ox will not be a good piece of business.

Agree2 Disagree1

30 May 2017 20:54:26
We have Milner who is a better utility player, surely the £35m quoted would be better spent elsewhere?

Agree3 Disagree0

30 May 2017 01:23:36
Ed's, with Tuchel in Dortmund possibly leaving does that rekindle interest in Pulisic from Klopp? And if you could indulge, what went wrong for Tuchel?

Believable0 Unbelievable2

{Ed001's Note - Tuchel was not in charge of transfers at Dortmund. This is not the really the place for the Tuchel thing, but he fell out with the people above him due to his inability to agree with them on almost anything and his constant tinkering.}
