So Joao Mario's agent is claiming that we have made a bid for his client. Ed002, is this true or is it a way to stir up interest?
{Ed002's Note - Sporting priced Joao Mario out of a move to Napoli last summer and unless they look to price him more realistically nobody will be calling. There is interest from Atletico who have had an offer rejected, five clubs in England, Inter and PSG (who are in negotiations but price is the sticking point). Inter has shown serious interest and the player has made no secret of his desire to play in Italy with them. However, any move to Inter is difficult and they would need the Italian FA to approve the plan of the owners to route the transfer through Jiangsu Suning and then a loan - this they think avoids an FFP issue but may be viewed as an abuse and with the transfer window closed nothing can now happen this summer. Chelsea see the price as far too high and the player stating he wants to join Inter is enough for them to step away. PSG also see the price as too high and have backed away from negotiations. Liverpool did not make a firm offer but enquired and discussed, through a third party the sort of figure they thought would be acceptable - but they took their money and spent it elsewhere. His "agent" would like him to move - and to be honest that is simply because of the money.}

Thank you very much ed, excellent reply!

Indeed ed, thank you very much! It has been quite funny how the media are trying to spin this into a current event, while it is obviously an older affair. Just to make things clear, he was considered as an alternative to Mane, correct?
{Ed002's Note - Right.}

Does anyone actually rate this lad?
Would not be an improvement on what we already have. I shocked so many top sides are in for him. Baffling.

He's bang average. Would struggle to make the bench. Very uninspiring rumour!
