Hey eds, do we hold any interest in Daniel Wass of Evian in Ligue 1? Can play both RB and LB as well as in midfield.

Believable2 Unbelievable13

{Ed002's Note - I wouldn't think so.}

Supposedly he is our guy if we don't get lallana haha oh the media

Ed2 where are you from in the states?
What teams do you follow in American Sports? Not LFC related I know but was interested.

Believable3 Unbelievable12

{Ed002's Note - I was born in Bellevue (near Seattle) but lived in the San Francisco Bay area from the age of 5 or 6 until I left in 1981. I have an soft spot for the San Francisco Giants.}

Im just going to ask you outright,,, who are you and what do u do ;-)?

Agree1 Disagree1

{Ed002's Note - I am Ed02. I am a part-time rodeo cowboy and gentleman adventurer.}

Fair play. Good pitching staff at the Giants. Tim Linecum is something else!
My dad was in the American Air force so we left the states in 1981 as well. I was only 3 though!
Born in Nebraska so that makes me a Cornhusker!

I left my coat, in Fat Stans Disco.
Do you know my Uncle Mitch Ed - fat guy, glasses and loves a beer or two.

Hi Ed would it be fair to say that if Liverpool bought in a player that could play left back and left centre back e.g Rojo - Agger would be leaving?

Personally, I'd rather promote Smith - Flannaghan has shown how beneficial this can be!

Believable4 Unbelievable9

{Ed002's Note - I think there is a good chance Agger will go.}

Sahko is #1 choice cb, in my opinion, with teams rarely playing two lefties, it would seem agger is going! Skrtel is also younger, slightly, and has had a good season! I think rodgers will focus on him, trying to tidy up his marking and decision making, I would not be surprised to see them two as first choice next season!

Agree0 Disagree0

Smiths one appearance merely illustrated he is way off the standard required right now. The most out of depth debut I can remember. He needs to build his confidence on loan before being given another opportunity.

Agree0 Disagree0

Everyone wrote off Flanagan too - myself and even ed001 included! I'm not saying he's ready to be first choice but he should be promoted to playing for our first team I think.

Agree0 Disagree0

Perhaps a year long loan is what Brad Smith needs now.

As were on the look out for a left back is there no chance Brad Smith could step out of the reserves aka Flanagan for next season?
He has trained with the seniors and made an appearance when Allan was injured against Chelsea, so you would think BR has seen some kind of potential there.
Would rather see youth given a chance instead of spend millions on a player that may not fit in.

Believable3 Unbelievable7

{Ed002's Note - I am not sure what will happen at left back. Liverpool has looked at a player who can play both left back and centre back and had previously made an enquiry regarding Bertrand.}

30 Apr 2014 11:43:21
Hi Eds

Apparantly Barca would prefer to loan Tello to us? Surely we would look to buy outright or do you see a loan possible?

Believable15 Unbelievable6

{Ed002's Note - What is this - more idle gossip from Twitter or whatever. It is no more than speculation.}

30 Apr 2014 10:38:29
A summary of the players we are looking at or linked with
Rojo - There is interest in Rojo which would provide cover at centre back and potentially left back
Bertrand - a previous enquiry was made about Bertrand
SCHMELZER - Ed02's Note - I am not aware any interest from Liverpool at this time but Marcel Schmelzer fits the bill of a left back. Apparently Dortmund know nothing of this either.}
COENTRAO -
{Ed02's Note - If Liverpool are interested he would be a very viable option. For: A decent player. Against: He dyes his hair and is covered in tattoos.}
Ed02's Note - Manchester United, Monaco and Juventus spoke with Madrid about Coentrao in January and Spurs had shown an interest but a chance of taking him last summer makes it look like that interest has waned. However, Real Madrid asked the player to stay until the end of the season so nothing happened in January. Certainly Jorge Mendes spoke with Liverpool in January and at that time the club said they were not interested. The player would not object to a move to Italy should the opportunity arise and Inter and Juventus may give him that opportunity, perhaps as part of a package deal that could see Morata, Coentrau and Di Maria go in an exchange for Vidal or Pogba if Real Madrid push hard enough. The player has said that without guaranteed game he would like to move and interest will still be there from Manchester United, and as Liverpool are looking for a left-back, perhaps they will bid for the player. Jorge Mendes was in Manchester and Liverpool in late January to talk to the clubs about players and was in the London at the end of March talking to another club about two different players, but as far as I know he did not meet again with Liverpool then. I would think the most likely destination is Inter Milan right now as no one else is pushing.}
A COLE
Ed02's Note - Liverpool has shown no interest in Cole at this time as far as the player's agent is concerned. Even though the club cannot talk to the player he is aware of a number of options. The MLS is one. A very significant offer from Turkey is another. There is interest from one EPL side but it is not Liverpool and I understand they stepped back when the costs were mentioned.}
SHAW
Ed02's Note - Liverpool has not shown interest in Shaw.}
ERKIN
Ed02's Note - Fenerbahce and Caner Erkin have scheduled further discussions over his contract which runs out in the summer. It would not surprise me if Liverpool were looking at him as he does have a good reputation. Cerainly Hannover 96, Arsenal and Roma have had him watched. I understand he has high signing on fee and wage demands.}

PAREJO -
certainly interest remains in Parejo.}

HUGHES
there may be interest in Will Hughes still.}

RAKITIC
Ed02's Note - Atletico Madrid, Chelsea, Manchester United, Lazio and Liverpool would be interested if Rakitic were available at a sensible price. Real Madrid are interested but have made no direct approach to Sevilla. Of more significance are discussions that have opened with his agent regarding a move to Juventus as a replacement for Paul Pogba and/or Arturo Vidal. These discussions resulted in the rescheduling of a planned contract extension meeting.}

FIRMINO

He is no longer an option but we had looked at him

TADIC

Ed02's Note - Roma, Dortmund, Barcelona, Everton and Schalke showed interest in Dusan Tadic in the past. His agent says Liverpool have rekindled their interest from last summer and Galatasaray remain interested. I don't know if it will go anywhere.}

LALLANA

Ed001's Note - 1. It is unlikely, though it will depend on what happens there in the summer with regards to the manager, as to whether he will move on. Are we in pole position? No. There is no pole position at the moment, he is waiting to see what is happening before even considering offers. The stories are all the usual make believe fiction from hacks.

Ed02's Note - Liverpool has not spoken to the club and has not made any offer to the club. If Liverpool has spoken with the player without the permission of his club then that would be tapping up and I don't think the club would be that stupid. They may well have enquired with his agent as to his availability and willingness to move.}

KONOPLYANKA

Konoplyanka was subject to two significant offers this past summer - from Galatasaray and Zenit - both of which were been turned down. I expected to see PSG, Benfica and Arsenal make a bid in January, and possibly Fiorentina, Spurs, Liverpool, Manchester United, Schalke and Dortmund to look to the player, but it was only Liverpool that made any significant effort. Right now it is PSG, Bayer Leverkusen and Spurs who are showing interest and looking to negotiate a transfer. Liverpool seem to have dropped the interest they had.}

CUADRADO

Juan Guillermo Cuadrado has been subject to the interest of Arsenal, Juventus and his co-owners, Udinese. Spurs and Liverpool have had the player watched

TELLO

{Ed02's Note - Liverpool was amongst a number of clubs who enquired after Tello in January but Barcelona said he would not be moving in January but may move on in the summer if the circumstances are right. I would expect Liverpool and Milan to push for a deal in the summer. There is little or no other interest in him.

FISCHER

Viktor Fischer has been subject to recent interest from Milan, Manchester United, Manchester City, Roma and Werder Bremen. Ajax has negotiated a new contract with him but might let him leave as, when fit, he has not been performing at all well. There is a suggestion that Liverpool might be interested but it remains unconfirmed although they have certainly taken a look.}

SHAQIRI

Ed02's Note - Shaqiri is one of the players Bayern are looking to sell and they are seriously pissed with him right now. Sevilla and Fiorentina have a declared interest with Napoli and Juventus having made tentative enquiries. Bayern are taking an interest in Pogba and are looking to include Shaqiri in a deal - but Shaqiri apparently does not want to go there. Liverpool may well be interested but there is nothing confirmed.}

AYEW
l'OM are more than happy to sell Andre Ayew and if anyone makes an acceptable offer to both the club and player then he will move on. Knee surgery blocked any chance of a January move but he is now back fit and in the team. The summer saw some interest from Newcastle, Inter Milan, Arsenal, Aston Villa and Dynamo Kyiv. Liverpool also enquired after a guideline price for the player over the summer. Right now there has been no firm interest in the player raised with Marseille, and it is likely that they will ask Milan, Newcastle and Liverpool if interest still remains. After that it will be down to his agent to see what potential suitors there are - probably in Italy. The player has suggested he would like to move on to a "better" side and cited Chelsea, Real Madrid or Barcelona as ideal destinations - he will be waiting a long time for that.

LACAZATTE

Ed02's Note - I understand that Napoli, Spurs and Arsenal have had Lacazette watched and that previous interest from Roma and Juventus remains. He is having a good season and by the summer I would expect that there will be interest in him from a number of clubs, including Liverpool who have had him watched. There may well be talks with his agent but Lyon has said they have only had an approach from one club at this time - and that is not Liverpool.}

SON

{Ed02's Note - A number of clubs have been looking at Bayer Leverkusen's Heung Min Son even though he only moved last summer. Liverpool, Arsenal, Spurs, Liverpool, CSKA Moscow and Juventus have all had representation at recent games.}

Emre CAN
Ed02's Note - A move to Liverpool for Emre Can seems very unlikely given he only joined Lerkusen last summer on a four year deal that has a break point after two years when Bayern Munich can by him back. An approach from Roma was rebuffed for this reason.I HOPE I HAVE NOT MISSED SOMEBODY BUT IF I HAVE FEEL FREE TO CORRECT ME AND PLEASE STOP ASKING THE EDS THE SAME QUESTION OVE AND OVER AGAIN

Believable30 Unbelievable8

Well done Reet, but don't expect others to stop asking questions, because as usual, it will continue.

Agree1 Disagree1

I hope I didn't miss any one eds?

Agree0 Disagree1

Got to say your mini summary helped me massively
in helping me remember all the names real AG
Really irritating to see all the people troubling the eds with the same questions about our summer transfer again and again

Agree0 Disagree1

Good man fair play Pal

Agree0 Disagree1

U beat me it it therealAG gets so repetitive on here with same old questions and responses. Any1 who has been coming to this site over last 12 months knows what positions we are looking to, strengthen and the same names crop up. God knows what it's going to be like between now and august!

Morning Eds,
Chambers of Southampton a great Right I think and ticks the boxes for BR. Has LFC shown any interest in him and if not have any other PL team been sniffing round?

Believable2 Unbelievable9

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool hasn't but Arsenal would like to strike a deal.}

I wouldn't call him great but a good player but we really have way too many RBs of our own.
