Ed do you think Liverpool would ever be interested in Clint Dempsey he can play a few positions and would be a decent right winger & a good squad player , quite surprised hes still at fulham to be honest whats your opinion? {Ed001's Note - we were interested under Roy, but I don't believe the interest is still there.}

Evening Ed I posted a question earlier asking if we were still monitoring Ivo Pekalski, I can't see it anywhere so hope you don't mind if I ask again

Chris in Tamworth {Ed001's Note - I didn't see the question mate, don't know what happened to it. But, in answer, I believe we are still monitoring him, unless there is someone else in the team we have taken a shine to.}

I doubt they are looking at anyone else at Malmo Ed but I suppose it's possible. Surely the only other player worth any look at all would be Agon Mehmeti?

Chris in Tamworth {Ed001's Note - haven't a clue mate, sorry but I don't really know much about Malmo or their players. All I know is that we have watched them, that is the easy bit to find out, figuring out who they are watching is the difficult one!}

Ivo is 20yr old defensive midfielder - a powerhouse. Just what we need. Watch this space.

is it true that king kenny want to add tevez to his squad

I'd love to see him at LFC, if anyone can tame him KD can. He has too much talent to waste. I know he's been a pain for Manc C but Mancini is a bit of a Hitler, I don't blame Tevez for playing up. they must all get fed up with giving their all for no praise. without Tevez they'd have had no chance of Champs League this year. I think LFC should try and get him on loan and see how it goes. If he is a pain in the ass we can give him back at the end of the season, but no doubt he would bring the goals for us. And if it's true that his family are settled in England now and he wants to stay in the EPL, then surely it would be between us, Chelsea, Arsenal and Spurs?

Agree that he would be a good addition but realistically, if the wife is "happy to be in England" it's gonna be London and most likely Spurs.

No

KopAHead

I can't see the spurs being able to afford his wages or even us taking a risk with a players that has always been so troublesome and expensive.

No one can doubt his ability. Bellamy and Suarez are no angels so why not? ak

First time I have added to the post on this so dont be too harsh. As far as I remember Tevez pretty much kept West Ham in the league also he was pretty much responsible for getting Man Utd and Man City where they ended up in the league. If it wasn't for his questionable attitude there is not a team that wouldn't want him in the squad. At the end of the day you know what your going to get with Tevez your going to get 12-18 months of pure genous followed by pure stupidity. If he is serious about staying in the UK sign him on a short term contract and let him prove himself.

Eds, any truth to the Neymar to Real Madrid rumours? If so, how would you guess this affects the di Maria/Tevez situation? Does it rule out Hazard or Eriksen going there as well?

I know that's a lot of predicting based on a whim, but normally ESPNsoccernet doesn't post information that doesn't have a grain of truth to it. I'm obviously just hopeful that we can snag one of the big names if we make CL and it would be nice to cross off Madrid as one of our competitors.

Thanks guys!

CSeiling {Ed002's Note - There is nothing finalised about Neymar going to Real Madrid nor when he will go. It will have no impact on any deal for Tevez, as that is much more like to fail because an exchange cannot be struck for a player Manchester City want. Madrid are short on forwards but have a midfield surplus, hence Khedira, Granero and perhaps some of their loaned out midfielders (Gago, Leon) will be the ones to move on. I don't know of any specific Real Madrid interest in Hazard at the moment but the player would like a move to Spain. Personally I don't expect Hazard to move to Madrid. I also don't know of any interst in Eriksen from Real Madrid - with AC Milan probably the most likely destination.}

is it true that suso is going out on loan in jan please post eds {Ed001's Note - I don't know if he can or not, he is not 18 until this month and I am not sure if the cut off date on age is at the beginning of the season or not. I will ask around as I have not heard anything regarding him making a loan but I am sure he will if it is possible.}

It is as soon as the player comes of age and can sign a professional contract

Have some little bits of information re: Adam Johnson..
Sunderland have already made it clear they're interested (loan) but he would prefer a bigger club (Liverpool in particular) due to the chance of success, obviously, but more importantly to continue earning well. When he left Boro he offered to play for the same wages he was on but Rafa wasn't interested. He really wanted to play for us and was a little p*ssed off that the club had zero interest in him. Mark my words though, he'd come here if we show him we want him. I don't know if we've shown any interest though. I must point out, Ive never met the guy and am not pretending to know him. I have a very reliable source who was once one of Adams closest mates, not as close anymore, but they still text and have alot of mutual friends. Other than what I've already written, not too many surprises but here's a few more things;
He can't stand Mancini. Has apparently turned into a big of w*anker, was always down to earth and a good lad but "the money's changed him." Dont know of any issues with acohol or anything like that, but definitely has an attitude problem. Apparently doesn't along with Craig Bellamy either (no idea why) and has spoken quite poorly of him. Gets along with Stevie and Andy really well though.

Not trying to be the next Macca or anything like that, just passing along what I know. Up to you whether You believe it or not :)

You sound like you have some good credentials so im believin you pal . he does seem to have an attitude problem tho. non-celebrations and sulky face etc. would love to see this guy down our right wing tho. has the potential to be consistently pure quality

TomKop7

If what you say is true, then we should stay as far away from him as possible. Quality doesn't matter one jot if attitude stinks. Ask Man City.

He'd have to get his head out of his own ass if he was to wear our red shirt.

Maybe a certain Mr Dalglish is just the person to straighten him out.

The guy is a drinker, he unsettle's team moral as well

Money changes every player. Its just a fact. You dont get many down to earth characters. If KK wants him then he will get him. He is a better judge of character. He will have inside info on the mentality of the player from Bellamy and other sources.

We should just wait until Jan and see if KK makes an offer {Ed002's Note - You are kidding, right? "inside info on the mentality of the player from Bellamy"}

Why would Bellamy not give inside info? KK seems to like the lad so why wouldnt he ask him? Whats wrong with that?

With porto going out the champo league do you reckon liverpool could make a move for their striker Hulk?

Cost too much

You would not like him when he is angry!

There are few great player in porto. go for them kenny

Don't do it, Hulk is a bad move...we need Tevez, Hugain, Gomez, someone like Suarez who is an assassin and can spin on a sixpence

02 Nov 2011 09:57:11
ed with porto going to be out of the Champs league do you think Liverpool might follow up their interest in Rolando who's out of contract in the summer?and do you think he'd be a better option than Gary Cahill whos in the same contract situation? {Ed002's Note -Rolando is not out of contract in the sumemr.}

Ronaldo may join vilas boas in chelsea.

Breaking News @ Stadium naming right will be announced by Monday. Its beleived Liverpool prefered Coca Cola to lead stadium rights with estimate 280m sponsored. I'm not sure what will be the stadium name. But for sure Coke have won the naming rights with Liverpool.

Do u have a link to a site to support your rumour?

The 'up your nose' Arena? Different, I suppose.

Were is your info from please

Fowler'll be back like a shot...

;0)

Dr S.Atire.

I'm devastated :( Was praying for Asda to win the race.... Sighs.

YNWA! (Adam)

I'm a life-long red and would be ashamed to
have coco-cola as the new stadium sponsor .
Workers in south america have their own fight
for justice (union men murdered ) against this
corporation .For mote info google Mark Thomas coco-cola or Dying for a coke , sorry to go all political but this city should stand by these people , as other communities have given
Liverpool support over the years .

Oh my god jr get over it bud

Sorry - bottlers in Colombia is not the same thing as Coca Cola the company based in Atlanta. Try again. Or better still - take it to another site.

Well said JR. Shankly would be appalled. 'Take it to another site' - I would say I can't believe the ignorance of some people, but I can. This company/corporation has exploited the poor across Latin America and beyond - one result of which is millions of people exploited and driven into poverty - but leave it to some nameless contributor to say 'I'm just a brainwashed moron, do you think I care if Liverpool are associated with a murdering corrupt corporation'.

Go watch Soccer AM you ignorant clown, thats more on your level. Take Coke with you and you piss off to another club - you don't have a clue about what LFC stands for, or at least what Shankly stood for. It's not JR's fault that he's smarter than you and has principles, is it?

Leave your name next time. I suggest 'the politically retarded, brainwashed moron'. As for that 'bottlers in Colombia comment' - You truly are thick.

BJH YNWA

ps. Don't even reply to me - you have the intellect of a brick. JR..... it makes me sad too m8. A nation of moranic, brainwashed t**ts. To Mr. Nameless. Whenever you're flat broke, unemployed and life has finally shafted you - maybe then you will question the role that corporations play in destroying your life and the llives of millions of others.

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.

Seriously, If we play at the Coca Cola Stadium I seriously might be forced to walk away. Then LFC will become a club supported by the likes of nameless here. A match made in heaven (or hell).

'Oh my God, just get over it Bud'..... a World of morans. {Ed002's Note - Not over-reacting to nothing then?}

Bjh....calm down calm down ....ive heard its netto anyhow

What are Liverpool's chances of getting Adam Johnson on loan in Jan {Ed002's Note - I would guess extremely low.}

02 Nov 2011 14:28:45
I am wondering if Liverpool have any chance of signing Hazard, Marin, and Giovinco, they are all similar players and will play well with Suarez. {Ed002's Note - Unless an extraordinary bid is made in January, Eden Hazzard will not be available to the summer. Real Madrid or Barcelona is his preferred destination. PSG, Chelsea, Bayern Munich and Inter Milan are all interested to one degree or another. I said over the summer that I would not be surprised to see Manchester United through their hat in to the ring with Hazard as well. I don't see Hazard moving to Liverpool, Juventus, AC Milan or Arsenal for that matter. Chelsea have maintained a long-term interest but one particularly influential party at the club sees the player as having an attitude problem.
AC Milan, Chelsea, Liverpool, Spurs, Napoli, Juventus and Roma have all shown an interest in Marko Marin in the past and I hear that Arsenal are interested at the moment. Much will depend on whether or not Liverpool make the Champions League as to whether he is a viable option or not; and the summer is a considerable distance away at present. Perhaps Italy is the most likely destination, and I understand his preferred destination.
Giovinco has an agent who has talked up a potential offer from Chelsea but he has a hopelessly complicated ownership situation that will eventually see him return from Parma to Juventus in my opinion.}

I did mention in the last transfer window that we had enquired about giovinco not sure if the interest is still there as my source at juve was a little careless with who careless with who she gave info too and was dismissed.

just read some rumours that tevez's reps have been in contact with several clubs, and that we are one of them.. please tell me this is bulls**t, i would hate to see that mug put on a liverpool shirt.

Although he is not got the best attitude but would be a great signing

And his wages? {Ed002's Note - And the £40M transfer fee?}

And then there's his puppet master Joorabchian.

02 Nov 2011 12:54:00
eden hazard?

Eden Hazard what?

02 Nov 2011 12:36:04
Is there any interest in Gaitan or Guarin they look like quality players that could do a job for us

02 Nov 2011 11:12:39
Chivu and Huddlestone? Surely that's a joke. Huddlestone when we have Henderson who's younger and better and Chivu who is far past his best these days. Expensive squad options that I personally wouldn't welcome.

02 Nov 2011 10:47:20
ed do you rate tom huddlestone? i think hes a brilliant player and the papers are starting to circulate a move hes been frozen out of the spuds team along with that santon who was good last season aswell
jayblair89 {Ed002's Note - Huddlestone is a decent player but this whole story is coming from a single unsubstantiated source at the Daily Mirror. What has become very clear is that Comolli did not say anything about Huddlestone, but it is their belief that he could lure him away from Spurs. Huddlestone has not been playing recently as he is recovering from surgery. However with the emergence of Jake Livermore perhaps an offer could be made that would be acceptable to Spurs. I doubt he would come cheap as he is contracted through to 2015.}

So they making sh*t out of mud basically ed cheers for the heads up bud
jayblair89 {Ed002's Note - As I said, it may be possible to make an offer to Spurs that is acceptable.}

As Ed said - he's a decent payer. Better than what we've got? That's the question. CM or DM - drop Lucas, no.
Adam? Makes no sense.
Can't see him as the next Gerrard either.

If we buy him i will go and support tottenham

02 Nov 2011 09:42:16
Hi eds i see we have been linked with Tom Huddlestone this morning i find this one hard to believe? I am right?

Cheers
Mighty reds {Ed002's Note - I don't know to be honest. I have seen the story attributing Comolli with targetting Huddlestone but know nothing more of it. The guy who provided the story works for the Daily Mirror.}

02 Nov 2011 09:34:11
Hey Ed is there any truth to the Tom Huddlestone rumours or is it just paper talk? {Ed002's Note - I don't know to be honest. I have seen the story attributing Comolli with targetting Huddlestone but know nothing more of it. The guy who provided the story works for the Daily Mirror.}

Hello Eds.
Quick Q, do you think there was any interest in Albrighton before Downing's arrival? {Ed002's Note - I don't know of any. Downing was clearly a target very early on but alternatives would have been discussed. However, clubs are reasonably aware of who may and who may not be available and will rarely waste their time chasing the no hope targets.}

Hi Ed001,

I was just wondering whether Liverpool have any chance at all of signing Ganso in January, as I recently read Ed002 saying AC might have dropped interest. Love to see him playing on the wing. And roughly what fee would be involved?

Thank you.

Jatt YNWA

p.s. Don't you think A.Johnson would be a bad influence though? I dislike his demeanour to Mancini. {Ed001's Note - I doubt we have any chance of Ganso, we are not amongst those teams that give the big wages to tempt players. Players like Ganso go where the money is, they are not coming to Europe out of love for a team! I do think Johnson might well be a bad influence, that is why, since hearing a few things about him, I have stopped putting him forward as a player I want us to sign.}

Thanks mate, didn't really take into consideration the mercenaries that tend to stem from there. Just such a talent, shame that they don't have the same respect of the beautiful game.....Ahhh

Also sorry for the constant late night posts, lol.

Jatt YNWA {Ed001's Note - no worries mate, I am used to it.}

Probably wont get posted, i know u wont answer it, but then can u provide links or articles where i can read about what u guys have heard on a. johnson ed? i wanna know too.

Kaizer {Ed002's Note - Why begin a message "it probably won't get posted"? I don't know of any links to articles that could help you out, sorry.}

Ed's i've heard such things like Johnson is a bad trainer, drinker and general bad attiude are these the things that you refer too? {Ed001's Note - yes, he doesn't really put much effort in, but then he could be hungover.....}

Ganso will choice PSG as Leonardo there. he will take all Star Brazilian to PSG for sure.

02 Nov 2011 00:58:51
Are the quotes from the agent of Tevez that have been circulating about his family now living in England true?

Probably about as true as the other ones that seem to appear every two years lol

01 Nov 2011 23:56:29
The news about Eden Hazard is 100% true.The President of Lille is lying about there being a gentlemans agreement as part of Joe Cole going to Lille on loan. He is interested in signing for L.F.C. We are currently negotiating with Lille. Don't be surprised to see him pulling on a Liverpool shirt in January. Y.N.W.A

Hardy1892

Not happening, we won't be competing this season for big-name players

PFresh

No chance he is off to Real Madrid. His agent has close ties with Zidane. He will replace Di Maria who will join Man City.

Mate, stop posting crap. the scum have a better chance of signing suarez than we have of signing hazard. More realistic n gettable targets r gaston ramirez n adam johnson.
Indian Buzzer

Lies and wishfull thinking. I bet you ?Ǭ£10,000, my house, my wife and my polish cleaner that Hazard will not be a Liverpool player in January. I'd love you to be right though (but then i'd loose everything so maybe not)

Actually if we finish in top four, and pony up the money, why not?

Hazard must know he is as likely to sit on the bench at Real, as not. And who will he replace in Barca line-up?
