Helo eds, do u know if we was ever interested in bringing xabi alonso back in the summer, seemed a no brainier to me. Especially the way u see someone like lampard playing who's much older.

Bang on Ed01. We defo missed the trick.
With in 2 weeks. Xabi broke 2 Bundesleague records.

2. Most successful passes in a game.

ed01 i agree with you over alonso boom made the very same point last week, also over us not concluding the remy deal, two bargains missed.

Defo missed a trick but seems to me in too many common sense decisions we're missing a trick tho Eds that's my concern, xavi would of driven back here, another baffling decision for me, least we got markovic aye. . And still have Lucas

I seem to remember an interview i read where Xabi stated he didn't consider england due to him seeing his chapter in english football finished, as to not tarnish his reputation or scar the good times

BR is trying to assemble a young squad! Move on. A lot of posts here are trying to work out how to leave gerrard out the team now and move on. If xabi has 2 years left we'll face the same problem with him soon and have given no young replacement a chance to step up in the meantime

Ed01 as boom said last week, i and others agreed, alonso and remy, we missed the trick with both, not just on price, 3mill and 8 mill, but what the both wouldve offered and solutions to obvious problems. i also mentioned koplyanka, why didn't we go back for him? as i said before the window shut, west ham were being qouted 12 mill. so a total of 23 million for those three!!
