Please ed, what is the true positions of things with Lallana? Is he confirmed ahead of the transfer window opening day? Also, with Liverpool now in the champions League, do you feel we have the quality in the midfield department to compete at this level? Candid view will be appreciated as always. Tnks

Ed001, are you hopeful this is something that will be addressed? I mean Can and Lallana should both be competing for a first team place and be in the first team respectively. Additionally Lambert does provide cover and another option.

{Ed001's Note - yes, we are already addressing it. The problem is that we can't buy too many players or the youth teamers won't get their chances to show if they are ready or not.}

Out of interest ed001, why do our medicals take longer than at other clubs?

I agree mate! I'm very happy that we're signing him! I reckon that he'll only get better working with Brendan! He's a typical "BR" player according to me!

I'm chuffed with this signing. Just a couple more purchases for the defence & a wide attacker & that should be it. Sanchez is the dream. but I'm not believing any rumours until I see him holding aloft a scarf on the turf of Anfield :-)

Eds is there any truth that we have received a 10m bid for Borini from Sunderland?

{Ed001's Note - I don't know whether it is a rehash of an old story or not. I am still waiting for someone to get back to me on that. Hard to tell as amounts they mention are never reliable in reports, so you can't use them as a guide. Certainly Sunderland have not given up on signing him yet.}

I like Borini and he seems he would want to stay but if we could get £12.5 million for him from Sunderland it would be best to let him go. I know that means if Suarez goes it leaves us short but Sterling seemed to relish playing up front last year when he got his chance and get all stops out to sign Sanchez.

So Borini for Origi, in a round about way? Borini should allow the move back to Sunderland, so he can play regularly and improve his prospects for Euro 2016. He'll rarely see a game w/ Suarez, Sturridge and now Lambert. Can't see both Borini and Origi being at Anfield in October.

We have had an interest in the past. I am not so sure about the release clause but with that kind of money, would you want a very unreliable player and man?

-Rumor regarding DAgger leaving seems gone quiet right now. Do u expect him move? only then we will sign replacement in Lovren?

-Is LFC still keeping tabs for Kyriakos Papadoupolos? IF we can get him under 15M then LFC should go for him.

-Which 1 is more likely to come to LFC Shaqiri or Alexis Sanchez?

-I heard if we cannot agree deal with Moreno, we will go for Marcelo. Is it true?

The Moreno deal will be completed very shortly.

The Moreno deal is dead BigD? His club has said so and it's pretty much been confirmed on here.

The deal is not dead just yet its the case of Liverpool paying an extra £3 million that will seal the deal, the player is keen on the move.

U just wait and see Dezmondo.

Hi eds and reds, I have a question I am a bit confused now with the Sanchez situation has the bid from arsenal been accepted or not? I personally think if we can not replace Suarez with Sanchez then we should probably think of keeping Suarez because we need to replace him with a person who has the same or similar footballing abilities. What do you all think? Ed001 how is your daughter and what is your thought on Suarez's replacement?

My daughter is good thanks, just looking forward to her summer hols now. As for replacing Suarez, Sanchez would be fine, or not replacing him at all would be fine by me. I really have gone past caring about him at all.}

Hello eds,

2 things if like to bring up. First one is sterling and Real Madrid, you told us that real have watched sterling and are interested but do you think that sterling would want to go and would we allow it?

Secondly I tried to use the search function to search for sterling but as my phone didn't load the page fast enough, I accidentally clicked on one of the ads over the search bar. Anyway when I did the link took me to the scumswebsite, not sure if you are aware or if there is anything you can do about ads but wouldn't like to think that they are profiting in any way from your site.

With u saying countless times that u won't discuss money I assume transfers are very complex, lots of boxes need ticking and lots of people get a slice of fees. Just wondering if u could give a basic example of how many people are usually involved in a transfer?

(a) Transfer fee - the big number.
(b) Any levy applied by the local FA – 5% for the EPL.
(c) Tax due on the transfer fee – typically this will be VAT (at varying rates across Europe) some or all of which should be reclaimable.
(d) Agent fees – this may be to one or more agents (as an example, Liverpool have spent £25M plus VAT on agent fees over the past three years leading to this window).
(e) Tax due on the agent fees – typically this is VAT at the local rate where the agent bills from – it is not reclaimable.
(f) Intermediary fees – this may be to one or more sponging leeches(what do you mean you have a super agent?) .
(g) Tax due on the Intermediary fees – typically this is VAT at the local rate where the Intermediary bills from – it is not reclaimable.
(h) Signing on fee to the player (possibly including non-reclaimable VAT if the player is VAT registered).
(i) Legal fees.
(j) VAT on legal fees which is reclaimable.
(k) Moving/relocation costs for the player.
(l) VAT on moving/relocation costs which is reclaimable.
(m) Paying up insurance costs to the selling club (sometimes waived).

What is paid by the selling club would typically include:
(a) If the player is under 24, a Solidarity contribution paid to his previous clubs responsible for his training - this is 5% of the transfer fee received.
(b) Any monies owed to the player if he did not request a transfer – again this is 5% of the transfer fee received.
(c) Any monies owed to the player in terms of his contract (typically outstanding owed wages (not future wages) and bonuses).

Liverpool pay the players relocation fees for 6 months after they sign so rent/mortgage not bad

Apparently Iturbe is going to be leaving Verona, where do the eds think he'll end up? I know Liverpool were linked a while back, not saying he'll come just interested to know eds views!

This has driven Napoli and Fiorentina out of any chance of buying the player. Roma, Milan, Juventus, Real Madrid and Chelsea have made it clear they are interested - and efforts have been made to try and get Manchester City, Barcelona and other clubs interested so they can sell to the highest bidder. Generally clubs are not interested in auctions.}

When you say profeteering, does that mean they bought a young player, knowing his value would increase just to sell on? Seems risky
