Eds is there any interest in coutinho whatsoever

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Atletico has maintained an interest since last year but their focus is on sales to fund a major purchase this summer so I doubt they will follow up.}

01 Mar 2015 10:28:38
Would mata be the major purchase?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - No.}

Just out of curiosity, who is Atletico's major potential purchase this summer Ed002? Have become a big fan of the club recently.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - They want a deal for Cavani.}

Any interest remaining from Liverpool in Dani Parejo?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - No.}

Any interest from Liverpool or any other clubs in memphis depay? Looks class, next hazard

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - PSV's Memphis Depay has attracted interest from a number of clubs with Manchester City, Real Madrid, Newcastle, Spurs, Marseille and Manchester United looking to see of a deal can be struck this past summer. Marseille signed Batshuayi and dropped their interest in Depay. Newcastle and Spurs are known to still keeping an eye on the player with Everton being suggested as a possible destination as well. Someone very knowledgable about football in the Netherlands has suggested that a move to Newcastle would suit him better than the likes of Real Madrid or the Manchester sides as he would need a couple of years to establish himself in the first team and sitting on the bench will not help him at all. He has also advised against a move to Spurs, and his views are well enough thought of to likely remove them from being an option for the player himself.}

Evening Ed

Ive just read that Schalke have offered Khedira a pre contract to sign with them. Are they more convinced on his fitness than us at this stage then, or is it unlikely that an offer from them has been submitted?

Believable0 Unbelievable1

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of an offer yet but can find out tomorrow evening. Real Madrid are looking much less likely to offer a new deal to Khedira now that Silva has arrived. He is able to sign a pre-contract agreement with any side outside of Spain now and AC Milan, Borussia Dortmund, Liverpool, Arsenal and Schalke 04 are all interested. Each of these clubs has spoken with the representatives of the player. The player's representatives have also approached Arsenal, Manchester United, Chelsea and Bayern Munich to guage interest as Khedira is keen to play in the Champions League next season. Chelsea and Arsenal are both concerned about the player's on going fitness. At the end of the day, if he can prove his fitness, Liverpool or Schalke would likely be the best fit for him.}

Any updates on this Ed002? Have Schalke made an offer? If we were to arrange a pre-contract transfer with him, do you think he would be the only midfielder we would sign?
Cheers

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - One update. In addition to Schalke and Liverpool, Manchester United expressed interest when approached by his representatives. Any of the three clubs can agree a pre-contract now but the player will want to know the options available and will probably want to know which of the interested clubs qualify for the Champions League. Liverpool has also shown interest in James Milner - whether it goes any where or not remains to be seen.}

Hi Eds, I was wondering, what are the chances of Liverpool signing Isco in the summer?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Real Madrid made Isco available in the summer - although priced at a level where all but a handful of teams could afford him. They also offered him to Chelsea in part exchange for a player but Chelsea were not interested. There was interest from Manchester City and Bayern Munich in the past, but right now I am not aware of any interest that remains from these clubs. I am not aware of interest from Liverpool.}

28 Feb 2015 19:20:52
Ed002, I think it was you who said that we should not be surprised to see Isco used as part of a deal(Sterling I think it was), would that still be a possibility in the summer?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - I suspect that Real Madrid would be open to it but not so sure Liverpool would be.}

01 Mar 2015 09:58:50
I would rather we demand Benzema plus a few quid in exchange for Sterling rather than go for Isco. Isco is fantastic but we already have too many CAMs at the club, while Benzema would give the team a more mature dynamic in the final third with his hold up play and creating space for the other attackers.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - That is not going to happen.}

05 Mar 2015 00:31:32
Where's benzema going then? United?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Try the RM page.}

Illarrmendi rumours doing the rounds online.
He appears to be a good fit for our midfield, is there much truth in this?

Believable2 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Real Madrid will look for a significant fee for Asier Illarramendi who is of interest to both Inter Milan and AC Milan in addition to Arsenal and Athletic Bilbao who were negotiating a January transfer. Will almost certainly move in the summer.}

28 Feb 2015 12:24:14
Hi eds, was wondering if Liverpool have ever been interested in Omar Abdulrahman or Lucas Vazquez. Thanks

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - (a) No. (b) Not that I am aware.}

28 Feb 2015 08:12:13
Ed2 if Liverpool were to receive for Sturridge would it be possible to sell Sturridge and then try to sign benzema(dont know if he would be interested dough)?? I mean would we have the funds to sign him in that case ??
Thanks

Believable0 Unbelievable8

{Ed002's Note - There has been no such proposals as far as I know.}

28 Feb 2015 14:14:53
Why would you want benzema he's overpriced and overrated

Agree0 Disagree2

28 Feb 2015 14:42:06
Benzema is not overrated mate. He's one of the very best strikers in the world. Get your head on straight. He would fit liverpool like a glove.

But the question is a multi-layered hypothetical.
Basically, nonsense.
