Hi Edds. Is there any interest in Mario Gotze from us?
CJH {Ed002's Note - Goetze may be available in the summer at the right price. Arsenal, Manchester United and Barcelona were previously knocked back by his club although Goetze has identified his favourite teams as Barcelona and Arsenal. There is also interest also from Real Madrid, Juventus, Chelsea and AC Milan - who I suspected were shifting their interest in Ganso or Fernando to Goetze. Chelsea know that there will be pressure from elsewhere to buy the player - most notably AC Milan and the major Spanish sides - and are of the opinion that a move to England will probably not come about although I suspect Manchester United will look to the player again. There remains a very good chance he will stay for another season in Germany.}

I think he just signed a new contrat Borrusia Dortmnd until 2016

Liverpool have lodged bids for Gaston Ramirez and Gylfi Sigurdsson, both players will help Brendan Rodgers bring his tiki taka football style to merseyside. Liverpool face competition for both players but they both have connections at Anfield and I have a feeling they will choose Liverpool. I also expect Liverpool to sign a holding midfielder probably Victor Wanyama and a striker probably Luc Castaignos and possibly a left back but I don't know if we are interested in anyone . Liverpool have let go of Dirk Kuyt and Fabio Aurelio while Nathan Eccleston is also close to the exit door. Alberto Aquilani, Jay Spearing, Dani Pacheco, Maxi Rodriguez, Joe Cole and Brad Jones are all widely expected to leave the club this summer while I have heard many conflicting rumours on Charlie Adam's future I think he will likely be at Anfield at the end of the transfer window.

Well am not going to dis this poster or slag them off cause i dunno how true or false it is.So all am going to say is i really hope it's true so we can get the ball rolling on the new player's coming in,cheer's all....YNWA!

Alot of that is probobly true but we need a RW and i doubt we will sign both sigi and gaston. just a feeling.
derryred

Sounds good hope ur right

Hope this happens mate :)

So a round up of everything thats been mentioned so far..very insightfull

Thanks for writing what all lfc are hoping for, but without a credible source your information lacks credibility and is fatally flawed!

No rogers is giving cole a chance to prove himself FACT!!

This would never happen, this would mean that we would have; gerrard, lucas, adam, henderson, shelvey, ramirez, sigurdsonn and wanyama who all could play similar positions {Ed005's Note - Adam may leave mate - but Ramirez/Sigurdsson and Lucas playing in similar positions? Sigurdsson and Ramirez are attacking mids, Lucas is the opposite.}

Ramirez can play left, right or center... Very versitile... So we could well sign him and sig....

TikiTaka me arse. It's pass and move and its been played at Anfield for the past 40 odd years.

"TikiTaka me apse. It's pass and move and its been played at Anfield for the past 40 odd years."

My thoughts exactly.... pass n move its the Liverpool groove :D

Hi eds, great work with the site. Was just wondering how available is alacantra of barca. He looks an emmense talent wen I have seen him play but rarely gets a game? How much would he be worth, and is he available? Thanks
Paynee {Ed002's Note - He will not be moving to Liverpool.}

I'm sure Alcantara's opinion can be suede

Eds, with rumoured interest in Skrtel and Agger, is there any chance that Man City will look at Sergio Ramos instead? Or even Liverpool if we got a high enough fee for the pair? I have only really seen him playing at the Euros, is he usually this good? Looks a quality player! {Ed042's Note - There's no chance of Sergio Ramos mate}

No offence like, but have you literally JUST been beamed down to earth or somethin mate?

Red-pasty

No offence like, but have you literally JUST been beamed down to earth or somethin mate?

Red-pasty

Yes its possible ramos will join

Brilliant reply

Fantastic pen by Ramos tonight

Got to agree with Red-pasty, have you ever seen a football match before!

Maybe start watching football at your local park and then progress, although it may take a while to get to the premiership!

How he is a starting madrid player and spain player on high money and CL football. i am a red but come on we are down at the moment we need to be realistic about players nxt u say cavani come to us

Its likely one may go but defiantly not both! personally i really want agger to stay.

Ramos?! Are you on crack mate? Brilliant. HaHa

Talk about a dose of Euro 2012 fever!

You dont need to worry about agger, he is a red and loves the club!

He has already stated he would like to open contract talks

LFCHero ;)!

Eds, my question was really hoping that City look at Ramos instead, because I really will be gutted if Agger leaves.

You've just made a show of yourself

Muller

I had to delete my first reply in case there is actually something wrong with you. Sergio Ramos will not be joining Liverpool.

Ramos been so good in the euros? No he hasnt, ramos strength is as an attacking right back, when he plays cb like in the euros, u clearly see that he is not so good in his positioning and reading of the game... Yes he makes alot up because he has fantastic physique but many cb is alot better than ramos m8... 3-4 years ago i dreamt of seeing him in a red jersey though, ill admitt that...

eds, any interest in andre santos, the sporting lisbon midfielder, not the arsenal full back
YNWA {Ed042's Note - not that I know of..}

27 Jun 2012 21:47:36
why dont we break the bank to bring alonso back home. he is class.
gaz b {Ed042's Note - he is key for madrid at the moment so i can't see them selling right now}

He is old to

Its probable that alonso will be coming back

If were gonna break the bank, its definitely not for alonso

Kaizer

TO old?? dont care he is pure class. Look at Pirlo.. he is not to old. HE is also a class act. Played the shirt off England. About Alonso... the biggest mistake was selling Alonso. In my eyes the best deeplying playing midfielder in the world. I guess that he will have several years of football in him.. Im lauging about people that playes FM pc game and belive that a player is past it when they get close to 30 years.

It wasnt a mistake he wanted to go he broke his foot or leg if i remember correctly and the physicality of the prem was weighing on him a bit but would be great to get him back for the right price but for that to happen he will want to come back and have a year or less on the contract

The Alonso rumour rears its head every window but while I'd love him back it just isn't going to happen.He's playing at the highest level and settled in his home country so why would he move.Also you do NOT "break the bank" for someone approaching 32.

27 Jun 2012 21:39:21
Gylfi Sigurdsson wants a move to LFC if we meet Hoffenheim price for him. LFC would offer him less wages than THFC but he would prefer LFC!

Hi Eds,

a quick have you heard of any interest in John Fleck ( Rangers) he is talking about leaving rangers on a free. young player not sure if he is as good as many think. Was just wondering?

thanks,

Jordan {Ed042's Note - not heard of any interest at the moment mate}

Fleck flattered to decieve at rangers, came to the fore because he scored a wonder goal in a youth cup final but when he got chances in the first team he didn't take them also he was out on the lash in glasgow every weekend which didn't go down well at the club which is why he was loaned out. You never know if he moves away from glasgow and away from certain influences he might flourish but i don't see him as lfc material to be honest, i also would be doubtful about going for any rangers players right now as i can see there being a lot of legal hassle over whether the players are free agents or not right now because they are refusing to transfer their contracts over to the new club not really worth the hassle and to be honest i think naismith and mcgregor would be the only ones worth looking at anyway and by all accounts jelavic is trying to convince moyes to get naismith to everton

Sorry but Fleck couldnt get regular action at Blackpool last season, he's not good enough for the Reds. There are better players out there.

Leyland Wool

He was ***t for blackpool {Ed003's Note - He was worse than that}

Have a soft spot for Rangers and watch some of their games, the one to go after is Rhys McCabe technically he is very good and very young, Fleck has wasted his career, had real potential when be broke through at 17 but has a bad attitude which has deon him major damage

He made a bright start to his career at Rangers and then sank like a stone.We've got better than him in the reserves.

27 Jun 2012 20:57:23
Any chance of zaha joining Lfc {Ed042's Note - he has attracted interest from a number of clubs. West Ham are the only team to make a formal bid at this time, but he will have been watched by LFC. I expect him to move to West Ham at this time}

27 Jun 2012 20:52:57
Do u think we will have r signings done before pre season starts ? First match is 21th July . Ed {Ed042's Note - it is possible yes. maybe the sigurdsson deal if he decides to join?

27 Jun 2012 20:37:12
ed are we looking at a left back? why don't we go for meireles / kaka / ever banega? i think they're available and would be great for us.

I'd like to introduce this player. he's a creative playmaker, perfect set piece taker, he's 26 and available for loan for 1 million euro as stated by his club he's called shikabala and napoli are into him. why don't we go head to head against them?

{Ed042's Note - Meireles - Not again. Kaka - Unlikely. Banega - possible.

If you ask me to choice 1 from the 3 Kaka , Meirles and Banga I will choice Banega. he is fast and die hard midfielder.

Are we interested in Banega ed and is he likely to join?? {Ed001's Note - there has been interest in the past, but he was never eligible for a work permit. I am not sure if he has taken any EU citizenship or got an EU passport or not. Be pointless looking at him without.}

I hope we dont go for a left back enrique is good and could improve under bucky plus a talent like robinson should get the chance (great crosser)

27 Jun 2012 20:27:26
I have heard rumours and only rumours that we may be interested in Aaron Ramsey, do gave any insight into this eds. He is the kind if player Brendan Rodgers would go for. He is a busy, tidy footballer and young with his playing time decreasing at Arsenal, he could be relatively cheap. Your thoughts please.

Thanks Markolfc85

I think arsenal would be crazy to allow him to leave but if it is under 10 million why not buy and sell Adam and spearing.

Very overrated, hope we don't want him

I think he would be an excellent signing but very much doubt Arsenal would let him go.

Ramsey hasnt been the same since his leg break, and it will possibly take another couple of years for him to get back to the potential that he showed before. he has been taken over by joe allen as a more important piece of the wales midfield too, although he is still captain. Maybe one jack collinson gets back playing regularly in the prem league, his place could be under pressure internationally too

Hey eds great site mate,
we've been linked with so many wingers but no ones mentioned Scott Siinclair, obv BR know hims well and he's flourished under him with a year left on his contract do u not think we should be making a bid? pacey winger skillful scores and creates goals(ok so some of his goals were pens)
And we must go all out for Adam Johnston this summer like we should have last summer instead of dopey Downing, what chances u think we've actually got of getting him and how much for u reckon? cheers {Ed042's Note - I haven't heard of any interest at this time. But if he was to become available I'd guess at around the £10million mark.

Scott Sinclair is a good shout mate as i read Swansea have said decide if u wana sign a new contract as the Chairman isnt happy with him having one year left on his deal, only problem is BR might not want to seem to raid his old club for their best player!

We can't sign any Swansea player for 6 months so this window isn't the time to buy him

Hans {Ed042's Note - We are technically allowed to sign Swansea players. I understand it's a gentleman's agreement between BR and Huw Jenkins(Swansea Chairman)

Can't sign swansea players till next season {Ed042's Note - It's a gentleman's agreement between BR and Huw Jenkins. Nothing formal.

Rodgers aint allowed go for any swansea players this year

27 Jun 2012 19:40:50
Edds great site keep up the good work! people keep naming players and asking what are our chances of signing A. B. or C. who do you personally see us signing/making enquires for this summer? {Ed042's Note - It's hard to concretely say who we will sign, but I believe enquires have been made for Ramirez, Sigurdsson, Adam Johnson, and Borini along with others.

What about Salomon rondon and James rodriguez? Yes rodriguez os unlikely but anyway... {Ed042's Note - Enquires have certainly been made in regards to Rondon.}

What about krasic? {Ed002's Note - Juventus will be open to offers for Krasic and Joksimovic has been trying to get as many clubs as possible interested including Lazio, Liverpool and Spurs - and he has had success with all three showing interest. Borussia Dortmund, Marseille, West Ham, Villarreal, Sevilla, Zenit St Petersburg, Fenerbahce and Anzhi Makhachkala have a confirmed interest in the player although I suspect Dortmund will drop their interest. Marseille would take him on loan but I doubt that would suit Juventus. Liverpool, Lazio and Fenerbahce strike me as the most likely destinations for him right now but perhaps by tomorrow it will be Zenit best placed.}

Have we made any other enquiries yet that you know of ed? Eg Munian or susaeta. Would love if Ramirez joined.
Thanks jc {Ed005's Note - Enquiries have been made for many players - but that doesn't necessarily translate into a transfer bid or signing of a player.}

27 Jun 2012 19:42:50
Any chance of us getting Pato from AC milan as he has said he would love to play for Liverpool and in the premier league ? {Ed042's Note - he did say he has friends at LFC, aswell as MUFC and CFC. He also said he intends to see out his contract at Milan. So I wouldn't bank on Pato joining LFC anytime soon mate.

27 Jun 2012 18:41:21
Hi eds, is it possible for Aquilani to be used in some sort of Gaston Ramirez deal? Say 15 mil + Aquilani? Would Aquilani be open to that or would he try to go to Milan?

BthekingB {Ed002's Note - I would not complicate matters with player exchanges at all.}

27 Jun 2012 18:59:33
now with mandzukich going to bayern , is our chance to sign luuk de jong increasing? Are we looking at marek hamsik or pato? {Ed042's Note -de jong is still possible, hamsik is unlikely at this time, and pato will not be joining liverpool anytime soon, he intends to honour his contract at milan.

Hamsik staying at Napoli

Chelsea would be up for Pago or hamsik so bidding war we would lose cos ruskey is on a spending spree.

27 Jun 2012 18:28:54
Hey eds great site thanks for the reply yesterday regarding Ryad Boudebouz but would like to make another suggestion. what are the chances of Javi Martínez a great D/M and would create great competition for that place between him and Lucas? also what about Douglas Costa who plays for Shakhtar, young quick and a very skillful player who can play either left/right and central attacking roles and what about Garry Hooper as a possiable back-up striker personally not a bad striker in my opinion. Bit of an optimistic sugestion (i kinda think i already know the answer) but what about Cavani up front with Suarez {Ed002's Note - Martinez and Cavani - no. Costa I would doubt. Hooper, no idea.}

27 Jun 2012 18:01:26
Ed any chance of gamiero from psg? {Ed002's Note - Gameiro will leave PSG as they look to replace him with Higuain or a similar high-profile player in the summer. Lille and Malaga showed interest but he looks very likely to join Valencia.}

Does that mean soldado is defo leaving valencia ed? {Ed005's Note - No mate.}

27 Jun 2012 17:56:58
Hey eds/everyone
There's a lot of talk here in spain about higuain leaving for the prem anyone know if there's any truth in these rumours?
Cheers Jalapeno Jeffro {Ed002's Note - Higuain was offered to Chelsea but with a proviso regarding Cavani that was not acceptable. The price discussed was also rather high. I expect Juventus to make a bid for the player if they cannot tempt Cavani or Suarez. PSG will follow up their interest and if Real Madrid wish to move for Cavani he could be sold. Chelsea remain interested at a lower price but perhaps PSG is his most likely destination if he does leave.}

27 Jun 2012 17:52:27
heard today that liverpool have been linked with pato not sure if its strongly linked but defo been linked {Ed002's Note - Misinformation.}

Hope not he's s#*t.

"at the moment i have a real taste for playing in the uk.â i love english football. i have friends who play forâ liverpool."
a.pato {ed042's note - he also said he has friends at cfc and mufc. so i wouldn't read too much into it at this time.}

It is possible that pato will join {Ed002's Note - No.}

27 Jun 2012 17:27:55
Hey Ed's....Any news on Jack Butland or Nathan Redmond of Birmingham. Think both would be great players for the future and on the reasonable end with Birmingham needing to sell. {Ed001's Note - Brum only need to sell if the fee is large, otherwise it is not going to happen, they are better off keeping them. You have to remember that players receive a 'loyalty bonus' unless they hand in a written transfer request. The bonus is a percentage of their remaining contract, which can add up to a large sum of money. So the price has to be high to make it worthwhile selling these players.}

Do you know of any Liverpool interest in either player? {Ed001's Note - nope, none that I know of, sorry.}

27 Jun 2012 17:41:47
Ed have you heard that pato has come out and said he'd like to play in the prem and apparently he 'has friends' at liverpool (probably bull****), it will never happen even though i'd like it to {Ed002's Note - His Lucas and the sentence was truncated as it continued ", Manchester United and Chelsea." I would not hold your breath.}

I'm guessing it's the Silva brothers at United and Ramires at Chelsea?

27 Jun 2012 17:12:22
Lots of rumours about Vargas today. I know he's 28 and isn't exactly an example of the fsg policy but do you think lfc could go for him? {Ed002's Note - Juan Manuel Vargas is different from the traditional left sided players being as he is a proper wing wing back with a very good goalscoring record - although many come from free kicks. Fiorentina accept he will leave. Liverpool, Malaga, Inter Milan, Napoli, Roma, Arsenal, Manchester City, Benfica, Bayern Munich and Zenit St Petersburg have shown an interest in the past but at 28 and with a now well documented weight issue, he may not be the easiest to sell. Liverpool, Malaga and Roma maintain an interest and I would not be surprised if there is interest from Turkey and Russia.}

27 Jun 2012 17:12:01
Hi eds, is it true that Cardiff are after Bellamy? {Ed002's Note - Yes, if Bellamy becomes available Cardiff would like to do a deal for him.}

Amazing news, one of the only impact players in the team and we about to lose him now too to cardiff and he will go for next to nothing, bad times ahead, cue cavani and lavezzi pfff lol

27 Jun 2012 16:43:23
Hi eds, great work on the site one of a few i bother reading since it seems u guys have a bit of knowledge... A always have couple players id love to see in a liverpool jersey, and the player that have impressed me this year is gaston ramirez. I dont think people know how good this kid is, he can pretty much do anything with the ball and has great understanding of the game and also move well off the ball. He can play both right and left wing as well as cam, i was pretty sure that all the big european teams would go for him this year but doesnt seem like that atm, so do you think that we actually have a chance of getting him(if there is any ral interrest that is?) probably stupid to ask, but know im starting to get my hopes up again. Also is there anything new on milan badelj? Reminds me of a younger faster xabi alonso. I think these players dont get the attention they deserve because they dont play in top clubs, anyway sorry for the wall of text. Have a good night

cheers
{Ed002's Note - Dinamo Zagreb's Milan Badelj has been looked at by Liverpool, Lazio, Spurs and Palermo. Right now the two clubs that are pushing for a deal are Locomotiv Moscow and, particularly, Fiorentina.}

Id be gutted if badelj ends up in one of those two clubs... Get him and bring kovacic with him

27 Jun 2012 16:02:49
could Ogbonna be a possible target? he's young, good and he could replace which ever centre back leaves us since they are both linked with moves. Also have livepool been linked before?
{Ed002's Note - Roma, AC Milan or Juve if Torino sell Ogbonna.}

27 Jun 2012 15:38:55
Ed's, If we were to sign Sigurdsson first, does that mean forget about Martinez? I feel it should be the other way round if so, as Martinez is far more exciting in my opinion.

LJ {Ed002's Note - Jackson Martinez has agreed a move to Porto already.}

I think he means Ramirez

I think he means Javi

Jackson and javi just aint coming lads, gaston MAYBE!

27 Jun 2012 15:31:23
Ed is muniain up for sale this summer like he was in january? Am i right in saying that 20m euros is the price {Ed002's Note - Muniain was touted around the clubs on behalf of Bilbao in January - and the two clubs in England that were approached were Chelsea and Manchester United. The asking price was 40M euros. They won't get it because I don't think clubs would risk half of that on a player who is young and has had some off field issues. If the price comes down to a reasonable level (20M euros might be an acceptable figure) I can see interest from several English clubs including Manchester United and Liverpool. Napoli and Roma interest is still there and rumours abound of Juventus and Malaga interest but perhaps an eventual move to Barcelona beckons.}

27 Jun 2012 15:28:30
I have a question for the editors,
1. have seen ramirez on youtube. is he more like an attacking midfielder or attacking wing player ? can he play both roles? if we buy him do you think we would utilize him more in the wing ?
2. since Ed 2 knows french league well, what is the situation with Sissokho ? is he available if liverpool are interested ? and has Payet done well in Lille? is he likely to move ?
3. now that Hazard has joined chelsea, are Lille seriously interested in buying cole ?
4. last one, Madrid are said to be offloading many players. which players do you think will be available for sale?

I thank you in advance for the answers. if the answer isn't a search function :)

Miccmak {Ed002's Note - (1) Ramirez is versatile which is why I said I thought he could add an extra dimension. He has now gone back to Montevideo to join up with the Olympic squad. (2) Toulouse's Moussa Sissoko has attracted interest from Lyon, Roma, Genoa, Juventus, Liverpool and probably Napoli. Arsenal and Milan's previous interest waned over last summer. Damien Comolli let Sissoko's agent know that Liverpool see his man as the ideal long-term replacement for Steven Gerrard but for some reason Liverpool failed to make the final push in the summer. Sissoko remains available but Liverpool have yet to follow up their previous interest. Right now I would have to say Roma are most likely to get their man this summer. Payet has had a good season with LOSC and there will be no intention to sell him. (3) LOSC would take Cole but cannot afford his wages. PSG is perhaps another option. (4) Diarra, Carvalho, Kaka, Granero, Altintop and perhaps Higuain.}

Kaka would be great back up when Gerrard gets hurt, Carvalho(was one of the best CB in his day) should get him to teach Kelly, Coates, Coady, and Wilson how to play, Higuian is just class.
Andrew

Stopped reading at youtube

We need quality on the wings to compliment reina agger gerrard Suarez sigurdson and even Carroll who we can't afford to sell now, obviously there's not much quality wanting to go to anfield at the moment but we really need to sign something to frighten defenders and bin mediocre players like downing, you might aswell play glen Johnson on the wing if you are going to settle for buying average players. That Ukrainian right winger will do by liverpools current money ball buying strategy 50 million should make anfield a bit more inviting than selifield, otherwise play the kids kenny did ok that first half season and the fans weren't disappointed cos they knew flannigan and co weren't up to it anyway a local lads 11 and Lucas and Suarez would get us a carling cup to be proud of.

Now that Macca is mentioning about big spending i expect some big names to be mentioned. to be honest i would't like those names. Liverpool fc is like England national team in some ways. lots of expectations has been hampering the abilities of good players. I want young quality players who are hungry for success. thanks to Caroll's, Downings and Henderson's last year performance, now the bar is set low. any player that would come for less than 20mil, with average performance and few goals will be praised. may be that will unleash some talent.
having that in mind, these are the players i would expect to see at the club
- 2 players from Sigurdsson/Ramirez/Boudebouz/Adam Johnson/Krasic
my guess will be Sigurdsson and Ramirez
- 1 striker from Dejong/Adebayour/Dempsy/Rondon/Boroni

my guess is it will be DeJong (although, why we haven't shown strong interest so far still puzzles me)

- vergas if available for less than what Fiorentine is asking now. we need cover both for Downing and Enrique at the left flank.
definitely, the owners are against high wage earning older players unless they are as important to the club as Gerrard. for that reason, I see Aquillani, cole and Maxi on their way Turkey, France and Argentina respectively.

squad players departing because they are not good enough or to get more games, pacheco, Spearing, wilson

Bellamy will go back to cardif to get regular games

summery,
ins - Sigurdsson, Ramirez, De Jong, Vergas
outs - kuyt, aurelio, maxi, Bellamy, cole, Aquillani, Spearing, pacheco, Wilson

our young players will get more games and our senior squad will look much better. what do you think ?

miccmak

Fair comments but I dont think Bellamy can play regular games to be honest, he has a problem with his knees. Had he been able to I think hed of played more games than most Last season

Thank god your not our manager!

Very good analysis of the situations so far. To agree with post above me, Bellamy wont go anywhere because he's just too old. Cardiff want him back but it seems he wants to play for us and is too old/falling apart to truly start and see lots of games. I'm not too sure that we will sign Vergas, however I do expect all of those out players to depart. Save maybe Cole.. I want to see him leave I just think he will impress BR preseason and actually make an impact this time around for us

True but he is at a point where he needs to inspirational to the whole team, be captain and may be ease into management gradually. in Liverpool he is a bit of a ghost. we like him when he is playing, we don't blame if he has a bad (not that many) and we don't see a strong member of our squad. Knowing Bellamy, I don't think he likes that.

Miccmak

Henderson looked a good young player before he joined us so maybe it was LFC coaching and tactics that spoiled him. Or maybe he had reached a level he would struggle to go beyond and our scouts were not clever enough to see this.
Hopefully it was the first scenario and a new management team will get him back on track.
Carroll looked terrific before he injured himself ( did he fall off a bar stool?) Although he improved towards the end of last season he not looked as good since he has been at LFC.
Downing was always an average EPL winger at best.
Maybe the new management team can get the best out of these guys.Of the 3 I would say Hendo has the best chance of improving but Carroll could surprise a few as well.

Bellamy can't play regular games due to his injuries. i don't want vargas. he isn't that good and will hamper sterling, who will get more games surely. although i wouldn't mind some of the names you mentioned. i still hope we get gylfie but.
derryred

9 players out and 4 in ? 1 who had a good half a season, one who has weight issues and two more which are untested in the Premiership

I would like to see downing and adam leaving as well.

Hendo has been played out of position....does not shine when asked to create....he should form CM shield with lucas....he is quick, technically good and should slot into a passing system doing the easy things well

downing should go...his first move is backwards

carroll is a keeper i think he will improve

adam too slow him out too

wld keep cole and bellamy as second chhoice left and right advanced mid, butr need to bring in first choices here thru transfers....both will be kept on toes trying to gain place and with sterling/suso breathing down their necks

Shushyboy

I agree with it all apart from Vargas don't like him at all and think sterling should be givin a few starts. And I also think we should sell Glenn Johnson great going forward terrible defender I like Kelly much more.

If this happens I will do back flip over the moon.

Don't you thing Rodgers will have his own targets instead of daglishs

i know alot of people wont believe meet but i wouldnt post it if i didnt trust the source one of my work mates told me that his mate is adamant that lfc will 100% sign wesley sneijder as he has agreed personal terms and lfc are just making a fee with inter !! great side eds

What are they making a fee out of ian ayre's huge eyebrows.

You say a lot of people won't believe you, how about nobody will believe you

200,000 a week h*** yeah

Well please let me be the first NOT to believe you. thank you.

Haha, I don't think so some how

Wow..don't even know what to say to this.
How on earth could we get Sniejder when we can't even match Siggurdson's wage demands of 70k! Get real mate. YNWA

Musty_Bham

He wouldn't be allowed to talk to us and agree terms until a fee had been agreed between clubs, so sorry your post is incorrect and contradicting

Liverbird09

Agreed personal terms before the fee has been arranged?

Great rumour. Not.

Best thing iv seen on here for weeks, very funny
lfclegends

So from this i assume your mate works for either...
a) Wesley Sneijder
b) the inter Milan or Liverpool finances team
c)is actually one of John Henry/Brendan Rodger or Wesley Sneidjer!

Sorry mate, the fee would be beyond what LFC will pay any 28 year old player with only a few world-class left seasons in him.
Also, I heard Man U didnt sign him mostly because of wages, and we aren't paying as highly as them these days.
Not happening.

Load of rubbish.

Hes 28 so goes against the clubs new policy. You have BUSTED and royally exposed.

GET REAL

Ha... Know any other jokes? That was a good one.

If Liverpool have a chance of signing WS they should jump at it IMO

McGurk

He had a very mediocre season last year, and has to big of an ego, just look at the Dutch Euro side. No thank you I would start Suso before I bought him.
Andrew

Hmmmmmmmmmm somehow i doubt it.

Nah probably not

Not sure if i should post this on the jokes page or what ..now its getting said Man City want Agger ...well im hoping its a joke ....seems LFC players have become fair game ...and we dont seem to be able to wrap up deals we are far to slow .. Is there any signs of Agger goin Eds ? {Ed002's Note - I am aware of the rumours that there may be a bid made. That is all.}

But ed , is he likely to leave?.......RED INDIAN {Ed002's Note - I cannot say if he is or not given that there appears nothing but a rumour linking him with another club. We don't know of any approach, any offer or anything at this time.}

They can have skrtel but they can forget about Agger as he is not for sale at any price

Agree, too slow to act in the market . look at the sig deal . exactly what were we doing before tottenham came in?? only reason they did is cos we were too slow to wrap it up.

"Seems LFC players have become fair game"!
According to the site every single first teamer with the exception of Carra and Stevie Gee are leaving.When LFC come out and say "an offer has been made for"... I'll believe it but all I'm hearing right now is spaced out Reds losing their minds!

Hi eds, just wondering if Dzagoev had signed a new contract with moscow. If he didn't would
BR try and get him? {Ed002's Note - Dzagoev has interested Chelsea in the past but Arsenal have shown a lot of interest this past year including sending a contingent to watch him play in Moscow back last summer. He will be available on a free transfer at the end of the year, not in the summer, if CSKA cannot strike a new deal. There is no interest from Liverpool that we know of at this time.}

I know players can agree a pre-contractual agreement outside of england for expiring english players but would it be possible for any club to offer him a contract and get him for "free" and by free I mean signing fees and compensation as he is unser 21 years old?

Or is that not possible??

Ben {Ed002's Note - Your understanding is a little off Ben. The nationality of the player is irrelevant. Simply, a player in the last 6 months of his contract may negotiate and sign a pre contract agreement with a club that will see them join when their contract expires - as long as that club plays under a different federation. So Dzagoev could sign for Liverpool on a pre contract now with the transfer being completed in January. He could not strike the same deal with Moscow Dynamo, or Zenit.}

Nuri Şahin, is being touted about in Madrid and they are hoping to use him in their efforts to grab Modric from Spurs.

If Spurs do secure the services of Sig then there is every possibility that they would take the cash on offer and leave Madrid with a player that will be limited to sub appearances, 10m euros was his price when he moved therefore something in the same region should give us a chance on a great young player fitting all the criteria set down by the owners.

If I had a choice I would take Sahin, proved himself in Germany but not given enough opportunity in Madrid due to the exceptional strength in their Midfield, come BR you have connections in Spain and Madrid divert your eyes in that direction and sign up a real gem for a snip.

Lanarth (source is a season ticket holder at Madrid who is passing on the talk among the fans)

I think you will find it's Spurs that are pushing for Sahin to be included in the Modric deal not the other way around.

Agree with the post above. Mou believes Sahin is the perfect replacement for Alonso. He missed all pre-season and most of first half of the season due to injury so that is why his time was limited last season. Expect him to be more involved next season.

Hi eds,

Any news on Milos Krasic coming to LFC? seems the talk of him coming has drifted away.

Cheers

Golfzilla {Ed002's Note - Juventus will be open to offers for Krasic and Joksimovic has been trying to get as many clubs as possible interested including Lazio, Liverpool and Spurs - and he has had success with all three showing interest. Borussia Dortmund, Marseille, West Ham, Villarreal, Sevilla, Zenit St Petersburg, Fenerbahce and Anzhi Makhachkala have a confirmed interest in the player although I suspect Dortmund will drop their interest. Marseille would take him on loan but I doubt that would suit Juventus. Liverpool, Lazio and Fenerbahce strike me as the most likely destinations for him right now but perhaps by tomorrow it will be Zenit best placed.}

Hi eds, wondering if there has been any interest from Liverpool or any other clubs for Isco of Malaga, looked decent the few times I saw him gets into the little hole behind the striker and can pick a good pass a little like Silva, only 20 to would fit FSG and Rodgers football {Ed002's Note - Barcelona have shown some interest in Isco but I doubt Malaga would want to sell.}

Isco is from malaga as well, so i doubt he would even want to leave. Plus we have suso

27 Jun 2012 11:25:49
Eds why does James Rodriquez seem to be valued at twice the price of Gaston Ramirez? {Ed002's Note - It is simply the value Porto place on the player.}

Porto ridiculously overprice their assets. Villas-Boas £12 million, Falcao £35 million, Meireles £12 million, and they want £40 million for Hulk and £20 million for Rodriguez. (£ = Euros)

Cheers for the response ed. Out of interest, what is your opinion on there valuations? Do you think one is particularly better than the other?
RedChris {Ed002's Note - I have no opion on them really but the figure quoted above for Rodrigues is a very long way from what Porto are seeking. Keep in mind they can value their players at anything they wish and if someone is willing to pay that amount they will generally sell - Falcao for example.}

In my opinion the only one that has been really overprised is Hulk. Falcao has made 74 goals in 91 games in last 2 seasons (30 goals in 31 games in europa league); even when he isn't the best in technic skills, he is a top goalscorer. Meireles is great CM who had good seasons at porto and demonstrated his value specially in the second part of 2010-2011. despite his failure in chelsea, AVB won the triple crown with porto and had a new contract in the moment chelsea bought him. Hulk is overvaluates cuz he have never done more than 30 goals per season, an even he has a great kick, he does never pass the ball, doing more predictable the attack; He does not worth what they ask.

Finally James worth the double of RAmirez cus he has 2 more years of experience in professional teams, even when he is 1 year younger; he has played european cups while Ramirez has not, etc, etc. also he has better goalscoring mark (6 goals in 32 official games vs 4 in 25 in 2010-2011 and 13 g in 39 games vs 8 goals in 33 games in 2012 vs 2013). I really love them both, but I agree with their different values.

sly reporting that juan manuel Vargas could be a real possibility for Liverpool! Expect all the Adam Johnson rumours to calm down if this proves to be the case!

Ryan {Ed002's Note - Juan Manuel Vargas is different from the traditional left sided players being as he is a proper wing wing back with a very good goalscoring record - although many come from free kicks. Fiorentina accept he will leave. Liverpool, Malaga, Inter Milan, Napoli, Roma, Arsenal, Manchester City, Benfica, Bayern Munich and Zenit St Petersburg have shown an interest in the past but at 28 and with a now well documented weight issue, he may not be the easiest to sell. Liverpool, Malaga and Roma maintain an interest and I would not be surprised if there is interest from Turkey and Russia.}

Ed02 is on fire with the copy and paste today lol

Ed002 - I get the distinct impression that you might be copying and pasting some of your answers! {Ed002's Note - So? I don't have the time to write these answers out repeatedly so I re-use.}

Why not save yourself the time and effort and not post the same questions over and over? {Ed002's Note - Because then we get abuse for not posting - a lot already get cut.}

Isnt this the guy who has a problem with homesickness?
SA {Ed002's Note - No.}

27 Jun 2012 10:30:29
Ed002, is Yevhen Konoplyanka available for transfer and do you see him moving. if available, who is showing interest in him? Also, I understand this is not LFC related, is there interest in kacheridi and Rakystkiy?

AG {Ed002's Note - Konoplyanka is interesting several EPL clubs including Chelsea, Fulham, Arsenal and Manchester United but I doubt he would move to sit on the bench which would probably influence his decision. I know nothing of the others at this time.}

Told BR personally phoned Gylfi Sigurdsson to convince him, we have offered an improved contract but not as that much of what Spurs have offered.

Sigurdsson will be one greedy bloke if he turns his back on BR now..

It will be disappointing if we miss out on him, because we should have wrapped it up when we got the chance. But fans should not abandon all hope, missing out on him is not the end there is plenty of good players out there.

I believe BR and club will now go all out and secure some decent signings. COME ON LEARN FROM IT...

Hopefully Gaston Ramirez, Pedro Rodriguez, Adam Johnson & a left sided defender...

Bosco

Pedro??really?i wish m8!

bernside

I'd just say if he doesn't want to come to Liverpool then don't worry about him. We don't want anybody who hasn't got his heart in it and we certainly shouldn't be throwing money at anyone to change their minds. Haven't we learned anything?
Hop

Why would Pedro leave Barcelona to join a club with no Champions League football

Champions League football isn't the be all and end all. Juventus AC Milan and Bayern Munich in recent years at some point missed out on Champions League and still manage to attract world class players.

No ch league yet

Looks like sigurdsson want to play for AVB , both liverpool targets gone to spurs

Why all the fuss about a guy that can`t get in the Hoffenheim team? he`s hardly a world beater is he. If he comes fine if he doesn`t fine. Think it`s all pretty desperate how people are going on, signings will come, sit back and wait.
Matt b

Bosco,

"He's one greedy bloke" Are you serious, this is his livelihood. If somebody offers you 20% increase in salary to laeve your current job are yuou telling me you wouldn't take it? Get real football is business, if someone is the victim in all this its Swansea.
Andy H

Well said Matt b. I'm not sure why people care so much, transfer window fever has set in.

Well said Matt B - Seriously some people think the sky's falling in. Look how well Newcastle did last year without Champions League through clever buying and good management. It can be done people. Have faith. Its still 11 vs 11.

"I believe BR and club will now go all out and secure some decent signings. COME ON LEARN FROM IT...

Hopefully Gaston Ramirez, Pedro Rodriguez, Adam Johnson & a left sided defender..."

Lol you impleid AJ is good nice joke

Hearing lescott could be a possiblity, seems a bit ridiculous to me but could there be any truth in it

Too old, 30 in August, not a chance this will happen!

Also an ex everton player , he already burned his bridges the way he left if he join us he will be P***ing on the bridge then setting it alight .

No thank you.

27 Jun 2012 09:26:00
Adebayor to sign as the Striker

No chance lad

The face man

200k a wk don't think so

I was hoping he'd sign as a left back.

Not with his wage demands, thats why we are losing out on Gylfi because of his wage demands - according to the Echo.

Sorry no big signings being bought in so get use to it fellow supporters - mediocre players who will not improve our side.

The least likely rumour I've heard in many years!

Il'd take that

27 Jun 2012 09:15:05
anything on vargas coming? or is he too old for fsg {Ed002's Note - Juan Manuel Vargas is different from the traditional left sided players being as he is a proper wing wing back with a very good goalscoring record - although many come from free kicks. Fiorentina accept he will leave. Liverpool, Malaga, Inter Milan, Napoli, Roma, Arsenal, Manchester City, Benfica, Bayern Munich and Zenit St Petersburg have shown an interest in the past but at 28 and with a now well documented weight issue, he may not be the easiest to sell. Why would we then want to sign a chunky chappy?
Curiousgeorge

ED002, gotta love cut and paste!

Juan Manuel Vargas agent has said that Liverpool and Malaga are interested in him. Is he just trying to drum up more interest?
KiwiRed {Ed002's Note - Juan Manuel Vargas is different from the traditional left sided players being as he is a proper wing wing back with a very good goalscoring record - although many come from free kicks. Bid of £15,000,000 has been made for Bologna's Gaston Ramirez, who's agent has reportedly told the Italian press that the player quite fancies the move.

Watch this space!

That one is all up in the air

From us? or someone else?

Aren't they all up in the air. Sadly players and agents control the game and ridiculous wage demands make it hard for clums that don,t have oil money or Russian billionaires behind them.

It's only a rumour, but I think it's someone else !

I would he does fancy the move due to Coates and Suarez in addition to knowing we are a top team but a team that he will be a top player at so it would be a wise move for him.

Isnt it city that r the favourits to land him eds? {Ed002's Note - As I have said previously Gaston Ramirez has been watched by Liverpool but I still remain unsure as to how strong the interest is from the club but would not be at all surprised if a push was made to sign him. He was available in January for about 15M euro plus a signing on fee - but Liverpool did not follow up on their initial enquiry. They will not now listen to offers less than 18M euros. However, Ramirez will move in the summer with interest being shown by Napoli, Wolfsburg, Manchester City, Bayern Munich, Inter Milan, Palermo and Juventus, who have made a firm offer. Unsubstantiated rumours suggest Manchester United, Spurs, Barcelona and Real Madrid are also interested. Sevilla were interested but I understand that Ramirez has no interest in such a move. Discussions took place between Bologna and Manchester City - adding to discussions that have taken place with Juventus and Napoli.}

The Bologna president Albano Guaraldi even said about the sale of Gaston. he said "the economic future of the club depends on his sale".

Hi eds & every body else lol

Is there Any truth in Suarez leaving an us getting klaas hunterlar? Hope Suarez isn't leaving us but hope we still get klaas guess I want my cake an to eat it ha :)

& any news on skrtle or agger ? Or any news on sig ?

Cheers

Sponge Bob {Ed001's Note - I am bored of answering questions about Suarez, it has been done to death. Huntelaar is unlikely, thankfully, he is slow and lumbering, and wants Champions League football. Nothing new to add on the other 3.}

Pretty sure if we get Gaston ramirez, Suarez would definitely stay..cant see any team bidding 35million plus which should be our minimum valuation for suarez..

I can tell you 100% Man. City are in for Suarez.
Liverpool want Adam Johnson and 25/30m, where city want to thrown Dzeko in the mix but with his wages high, Liverpool would rather spend their 25/30m on new talent so getting 2-3 brilliant hungry players on reasonable wages.

Kop7Mick

Sigurdsson offered sun, moon & stars wages-wise by Spurs, who will pay fee upfront. LFC have given him a take it or leave it deal.

Zukamime kirinshiri

Copied directly from that irish journalist on twitter.

Spurs are renowned for being tight fisted. They would not over pay for anybody lol

He wants 70K a week and we consider it to much.Sadly we are stil suffering from previous managers mistakes(not Kenny) .Cole and Aualani are both on more than that and don't even play for us !!

Guys, you that are worrying about Gylfi Sigurdsson. His father talked to the media today and stated that everything was open, thats an update from him about being in the all clear from Swansea. He is still on holiday, Hoffenheim have told him to stay on holiday till the 30th of june. He is a smart kid and will make to move to further his career, its not about the money.

I wish he goes to spurs which will HOPEFULLY spur us on to get Gaston Ramirez.

26 Jun 2012 23:15:10
liverpool rumor:
sign luuk de jong and Gylfi Sigurdsson

26 Jun 2012 23:07:32
SERIOUS : just heard we are in talks with man city over - swap plus money, skrtel and lescott and also in a seperate deal we'll get adam johnson for permanant left wing

.... despite the fact that adam johnson plays on the right wing?

Permanent left wing? Does that mean he can't cut inside?

TAYPOT

So if we get Lescott, we'll have two left-sided CB's ?

No to lescott he has two left feet and imagine the wages!

Played out of position on the rw. johnson is left footed and played lw for boro.
Ginerbolox

I wouldn't be totally against this. Lescott had a much better Euro turnout than John terry. Although jagielka should have played beside him.

Lescott played better then terry? Your crazy

Swap deals never happen these days, agents want fees so they can take there share

Lescott!!, the ex EVERTON defender??, that cost city 25 mil, can't see this happening as I'm sure City would want him in the squad

26 Jun 2012 23:03:40
Any information on the transfer/contract of John Guidetti Ed's? I think the lad's a diamond. He could be worth a punt, maybe even get him and Adam Johnson as part of the rumoured Skrtel deal. {Ed001's Note - as far as I am aware, City are not even considering letting him go anywhere, except on loan.}

26 Jun 2012 23:00:34
Liverpool are preparing a massive offer for Porto star James Rodriguez.

The Colombia international is high on the shopping list of United manager Sir Alex Ferguson.

However, Correiro da Manha says Liverpool are willing to offer €30 million to beat United for Rodriguez's transfer.

That would show the whole world that we are serious

We did make an improved offer to porto of what united offered them. But United have reportedly matched that offer this morning {Ed002's Note - Three clubs have so far spoken to Porto about James Rodrigues and two bids have been rejected I am told. Neither matches Porto's valuation of the player. The clubs are Manchester United, Palermo and Bayern Munich have been looking carefully at Rodrigues as an alternative to Dries Mertens. There may well have been enquiries from other clubs including Napoli and Liverpool. It may be tough to find someone to pay the sort of fee Porto would be looking for.}

Why would you even waste your time publishing this. How can you justify that Liverpool are to make a massive offer? We can't even sign Siggy because Spurs have offered him £200k more a year and we can't match that. So how do you expect us to pay in excess of £30 million for one player? And that's before we even start to agree personal terms. Fact remains we will only be buying players for less than £10 million who meet the clubs wage structure. Newcastle can do it so let's hope Liverpool can find some hidden gems out there. The best players in the world can be made to look poor in the PL it's all about how they are looked after. Torres for example.....

Overpriced and not worth anything like 30 Mil. Euro, and they won't get it either.

You havnet godt the point, we dont think sig is worth 70k a week, that does not mean we that we cant just that we dont want, we could easily give rodriguez 70k cause hes worth it!
