check his website. SMF

26 Sep 2010 21:13:43
Keith Harris has recently been in Portugal ? ?
And apparently is in Minehead Butlins next week. .
He has Cuddles with him who is a monkey with Keiths hand up his backside, as opposed to Bubbles who was a monkey who had Jackos old man up his. . .you get the gist.

Mario gomez
arda turan
xabi alonso (must have)
k.gibbs (arsenal)
micah richards
pato if gomez doesn't sign
phillip lahm
these would be great additions even if we sign a few.

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
why would pato be second choice to gomez, and why would real madrid get rid of alonso when he is their first choice midfielder?

26 Sep 2010 20:25:08
Ed, Has insua's loan deal to galatasaray has got anything to do with Turan. Mebbe it will sweeten the deal as they have an option to buy him at the end of the season. It can be like a player plus cash deal. Wat say.?

Dan Roger. {ed's note - I can't find out any details of a deal to sign anyone included in the Insua deal. As far as I am aware it is just a standard loan with no clauses regarding other players.}

Pique did not give an interview to the Daily Star, if you believe the Daily Star to be telling the truth you are naive.
First, it's THE DAILY STAR!
Second, if this conversation took place during the World Cup, why did Torres come out after the world cup saying he loves the club, city and fans as much as when he joined, and that Liverpool is the best club?
Thirdly, if Pique is supposed to be Torres' friend he wouldn't take it upon himself to unsettle Torres at his club and with his fans. If I was in Nando's position I would be pissed off with Pique if he said these things.

A tweet from "BarcaStuff" (an unofficial Barcelona news account) said, "to make things fully clear: pique of course did not give an interview to "the daily star" talking about the future of fernando torres"

I think Torres will leave next summer, and I won't blame him, but don't believe this Pique story.

I was told of a friend of mine who has the electrical contract ay liverpool both anfield and melwood that roy didn't even pick the team for the carling cup and it was the sports scientist/ phisio who actually did . roy was reportedly heard screaming and kicking furniture in his office saying it was his team. and when you think about it he only got out of his seat once on wed night maybe it is true. apparently h an g have put their foot down about roy pubilcly saying we need to sell the club and putting the two rats down in pulic WHAT DO YOU THINK

New owners by end of November.
Hogson sacked, Martin o'Neill brought in as replacement.
No big signings until next Summer.
But they will be Gomez, Dunne, Alonso and Ashley Young.
Out will Poulsen, Skretl and Maxi.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Can't see what we will gain by replacing Hodgson with O'Neil. He plays long ball direct football. This can only take a team so far and that's it. More technique and guile is what is needed these days. It's 2010 not 1980.

26 Sep 2010 17:51:34
To the ed
seriously v r such a different team playing 4-4-2. With N'gog on the pitch yesterday we looked different and Nando could get the ball. Y can't Roy so a little faith in N'gog and give him regular starts in the centre or put Kuyt there and give Maxi chances. He is decent for Argentina, aint he.
Y r v stuck playing 4-2-3-1 when it is not giving us anything? ?Could some one explain?

And if we play 4-2-3-1 y not the following

Johnson - Carra - Skrtel - Konchesky/ Agger
Kuyt - Cole - Fabio Aurelio (I know he is slow but his delivery is world class)

Click believeable if u like this team? I think it can work out without a holding midfielder as both Lucas and Poulses are too stationary and Gerrard can always come back to make those tackles he is famous for.

Come on u reds. .

God forbid the day ever comes when we turn to Martin O'Neill as a saviour!
If we get new owners before January, I would expect they would give Roy till Christmas to turn it around (if he hasnt done so already by then) and if they are going to replace him then it has to be with someone much better than MON!. His style of football isn't LFC, Carling cups are not what we are looking to win . .
Which Dunne are we talking about here?. Im not familiar with any that I would want in a red shirt.

Hi ed, any news on the takeover yet it seems too have gone all quiet ?

Ps its not been are very good start to the season for lfc but please can all the fans get behind roy and the team in its hour of need, slagging off players and the manager isn't going to help. Can we please stop making up rumours about gerrard and torres falling out you bad as the notw maybe captain marvel just got lost in the moment !

Kingplfc {ed's note - nothing mate, I would be more worried if there was to be honest.}

26 Sep 2010 17:13:45

Hi ed,
i find it very strange that a big
issue like the ownership which is
only few days left for decisions to
be made it seems like no one knows!
and we in the middle guessing, hoping,
wishing and praying, please ed if you
have any info or maybe just a bit of
light let us know cause we are very
scared for our future.
thanks malta. {ed's note - it is normal for these things to be kept very quiet. I don't know why everyone expects to know everything about it, everyone involved has to sign NDAs.}

Rumour is that when these new owners come in roy hodgson will be sacked and former real madrid coach manuel pellagrini will be brought in.
Dont no about you guys but i think this will be very good for the team as he know the game well and is well respected in foriegn football and will make some good signings, but that will not be done untill the new owners come which i hope is soon.
lets see maxi, poulsen(terrible)konchesky, johnson go and see some good signings

From what i saw yesterday there was absolutely no warmth between Torres and Gerrard. It seems to have totally evaporated. Any rumours why - surely not a move in January?

Why are Barcelona players so intent on unsettleing ou players sorry to copy & paste guys i just find this comment appauling :

Gerard Pique claims Fernando Torres will be embarrassed having to play in the Europa League for Liverpool and has urged him to leave the club.

The Barcelona defender, who won the World Cup with the Reds striker, believes he needs to be winning trophies rather than settling for second best.

The former Manchester United player says the 26-year-old will have to leave the Anfield giants and seek success elsewhere.

Pique told the Daily Star Sunday: "There is no way this can go on for Nando. It's just impossible.

"I spoke with him before he committed to Liverpool and he told me he wanted to win things with Liverpool - but if the club didn't invest and show real intent, he would be forced to leave.

"It's really embarrassing for Nando to play in a team of that quality.

"You would not see Messi or Rooney playing in the Europa League - so there is no reason why Nando should be playing there.

"Along with David Villa, he is the best striker in the world.

"He needs to be winning things domestically like he does with Spain."

Pique completed a domestic treble with Barcelona last year and was a World Cup winner with Spain in South Africa this summer.

The defender claims Liverpool are not capable of winning trophies at the current time and has urged the striker to come and join him at Barcelona next season.

"Liverpool have shown already this season they are not capable of winning things - and that's it for him now, " said Pique.

"Liverpool are really testing Nando's loyalty.

"For the last two seasons they have promised him they will challenge.

"They haven't delivered on it at all. The ownership of the club looks completely unstable.

"It doesn't look like the manager or the players have any faith in the club.

"There can be no questions when Nando leaves in the summer.

"Players of less quality would have left last summer.

"But he is a decent guy and believed it when they told him they would invest.

"I am not just saying this because I want him to join Barcelona.

"The truth is I don't know if he will.

"It might be Chelsea, it might be Real Madrid, it might be Barcelona.

"But I know he wants to join a club where he can win league titles and European Cups. I would love us to sign Nando in the summer."

Why don't Liverpool sell babel, kuyt and maxi and sign Dempsey, Honda and Lee chong yong/ bentley for the wings

26 Sep 2010 12:40:22
We really need to sort this team out, need to sell babel, skrtel, kuyt, lucas, jova and maxi. We then need to consider signing player with prem experience such as Cahill, bentley, Lee of Bolton, Dempsey, n'zogbia, noble. We should also consider Gomez on loan and taiwo on a prem contract in jan as I believe he out of contract next summer.

26 Sep 2010 12:11:29
Hi ed
I was just wondering what was the point in loaning aquilami if hes not even playing at juventus. I'd prefer him on our bench.
Does anyone agree?

{Editor's Note: I don't think the manager is keen on Aquilani and aI am pretty sure the player did not enjoy last year. It suits both parties. At the end of the season he will be sold. We still owe a final payment on the player and we are likely to take a significant hit on the sale. maybe a lesson learned?}

"What was the anti Purslow banner all about yesterday?
I was of the understanding the protest was to make a statement against the two lying disgusting yonks and to make the outside world know that LFC will no longer tolerate these vile Americans or am I missing something?"

It looks like you are probably missing something. According to recent posts, Liverpool fans no longer just hate the owners, but they also hate the rest of the board and the previous owners. They also hate the manager. And I nearly forgot, they also hate all of the players except Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher.

I hope, we get taken over and sign both Arda Turan and Keisuke Honda. Both are master pieces. .
Turan would be great at wings and Honda is master class at Attacking positions. Your thoughts ed?

{Editor's Note: Two great players without doubt.}

26 Sep 2010 06:05:29
Top Rumour coming out of Anfield is that Roy H. will be replaced before our next home game. Martin O'Neill is lined up as a replacement.
Reality fRed

I certainly hope not. He has achieved absolutely nothing with Villa. Never had a top four finish unlike David Moyes. Not won the FA cup or UEFA cup or it's current Europa League equivalent unlike Houllier whom we sacked. Never won the European Champions League unlike Rafa whom many were glad to see the back of. Getting new owners are important. A great manager more so. Our fans are doing an incredible job in trying to ensure that the Yanks do not get further financing. Abundant riches in the wrong hands is something that we do not want. Case in point with Mark Hughes at City. With no disrespect, a good honest British manager that overachieved with lesser sides. But we are Liverpool, a legend in times past but aspiring to a greater future. Being able to attract top players, to control them and to mould them into a disciplined, cohesive unit is within the ability of a special few. Mourinho and Hiddink are the only ones that spring to mind. The other is a local legend. Kenny Dalglish. If you believe that King Kenny is the best man to steer us forward, be it in the short term until one of the other two are available or for the long haul, please click believable. If you disagree, click unbelievable. If you agree with my thoughts, let's put in as much effort into letting any future owners as well as our current board members of Purslow, Broughton and Ayre know this.

I am a member of TIA and i don't see this, and I go to the site everyday as a regular poster

No person on TIA said that I visit the site everyday (being a member), please do not use a well established website to make false claims!

"According to what I've been told, our new owners will be one of the following / one of the companies they are associated with. .

James L. Dolan (US), family wealth: $2.3bn

John W. Henry (US), wealth $830. ."

I don't want to come across as all Billy Big Time but even I can drag $830 together and I don't see my name in the frame for buying the club.

fcuk it . .make it a straight $900.

Remember the name. .but don't tell the papers.

{Editor's Note: THese have been pulled from a very old list posted many moons ago. It is all nonsense. Dolan could be looking for media exploitation through investment. Henry is not in a good way financially - he would need to sell his stake in the Red Sox and that is not on the carsd.}

26 Sep 2010 00:27:52
According to an ITK on TIA:

According to what I've been told, our new owners will be one of the following / one of the companies they are associated with. .

James L. Dolan (US), family wealth: $2.3bn

John W. Henry (US), wealth $830

Mukesh Ambani (India), wealth $29bn

Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Alsaud (Saudi) $19.4bn

Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum (UAE) $12bn

Apparently, these folks or direct representatives of theirs have been indicating an interest in the club, since the start of 2010 - my money is on the Saudi or UAE connection.

BTW, a company they're connected to means; either on the board, have controlling interest in, or are part of an established consortium. It doesn't mean their friends, or someone they once met!

The sources are from within the 'City of London' and I have no idea if they are kidding me or not - the people I have daily contact with, do work for investment banks mentioned in relation to the club
