Hi Eds, Great site and thanks for all the info. I have not seen any posts and I know he is to old and wages etc but what about Lescott? I also think s. will leave along with a few other high profile players reality of £ notes and no CL then we will sign players like Ince and Williams and depending on what happens with our loan players maybe a couple of squad players. Love to be wrong but Anfield needs more seats and we need CL. Rogers is doing well but our finance is mid table.
JC {Ed002's Note - I really don't know, sorry.}

Lescott is awful

Might aswell keep skrtel

eds are Liverpool interested in romulo of spartak or either of the bender brothers? {Ed002's Note - At 1860 Lars Bender was a player that Roy Hodgson had watched when he was at Fulham - that is as close as I can recall interest.}

Eds is kenny dalglish coming back to
Lfc? Has he been approached by lfc to come back in some kind of role?

Basy {Ed001's Note - last I heard he wanted a break, but I would expect that the club would not want to employ him again, due to any bad run being greeted with shouts for him to return.}

Why would we want him back to undermine the authority of Brendan?

Would Jackson Martinez be a realistic target? Do you know what clubs are interested in him?
Thanks
Et {Ed002's Note - I would doubt it unless Suarez leaves. Atletico Madrid are seeking further talks but Porto want a lot for him.}

interview in the dutch press with van marwijk why after the dutch team he did not coach again.
he said he had plenty offers but none interesting, he was in contact with LFC just around the time comolli got fired and said he was very interested in the Liverpool job.
FSG keep there cards close to their chest, I was surprised reading it.
BR will have funds this summer but next year fsg will want a top 4 finish, if not he be gone that's how they work.
henry warner never come to see a homematch they judge things from far away, a coach will never build 100% trust over the phone.

When JH stays in Boston, fans criticize. When he comes to Liverpool, fans threaten. What is a bespectacled, cadaverous owner to do?

26 Mar 2013 15:52:03
Do you have any news in LFC interest in Germn Pezzella? Is there any? {Ed002's Note - He was someone looked at last summer before Rodgers arrived - there have been talks with Roma and a part-ownership deal is on the cards.}

Part ownership with LFC Ed002?

The real AG {Ed002's Note - No.}

Hey eds was just wondering if we got Dede, is he really any good? I've never seen him play and I know a lot of people say he's good but i'm sure a lot of people who say this don't even know him them selves just following other people just to get their posts up! Do you think he is cut out for the prem and have you and idea how much around maybe he would cost? {Ed002's Note - The cost is irrelevant but Dede is certainly well respected amongst the clubs who have shown an interest.}

Ed have u been able to find out yet if lfc have revived their interest in dede? {Ed002's Note - Not yet.}

He's good on FIFA.

It bums me out that a few people who can't understand finances prevent Ed 002 from discussing cost, etc. I think that's the most interesting aspect of the transfers.

~Fresh

From what I have seen of him, he has amazing speed for a centreback. Intact I think he may be fastest CB after Sol Campbell. However I feel we should also get Kurt Zouma off Etienne as he has all qualities Carragher has!.

Eds, would be interested to know who we might be scouting/keeping an eye on in south america. I appreciate it might be a touchy subject but i'm sure us supportive lfc fans would love to hear the latest rumours. Thanks in advance,
Edsreds. {Ed002's Note - I have no updates on this subjecty. Those looked at previously are likely to be amongst those that are continuing to be of broad interest - but I am not aware of additions right now.}

ed do you think we will invest big in the summer as the fifa fair play comes in nxt yr. then do the saving pennies bit from then on. with a youngish team we should be set for a few seasons anyway?
5 gold stars {Ed002's Note - Man you really need to raed the posts - this has been done to death.}

Man I just ain't been on in a while
5 gold stars {Ed001's Note - well then there is a lot to read through.}

The three players we should be looking to sign are Dede, Pablo Armero and Victor Wanyama. That's without considering any departures.

Dede and Agger would be a formidable partnership at the back. Simple as.

Jose Enrique can at times look like a world beater, but he lacks the mental strength when the going gets tough. I don't know what the deal is with Armero and Napoli (whether it is loan to buy or a regular loan), but he would be a fantastic signing. He can also play on the wing. Keep Enrique as competition.

I know Wanyama is linked with the Manchester clubs and others, but I don't see why that should put us off. He is exactly what we need in the midfield, someone that has all the physical attributes that Gerrard and Lucas lack. He can defend and attack. Celtic operate him more defensively minded, but in a midfield three with Gerrard and especially Lucas the shackles would be off and he could really affect the game going forward.

With these three additions no longer would Stoke away be a difficult place to go.

Agreed. Dede and Wanyama should be priorities for the summer, would add some steal to our side in addition to the creativity and flair of Coutinho, Sturridge and Suarez.

You have actually made a very good point. I attended all of Celtic's CL games (at home) this season and trust, Wanyama is awesome. He is a big boy, but he offers a lot more than just a physical presence.

Erm with what money are any players going to be bought?

Great post. Totally agree!

We need more of a physical presence in the centre of the park and in defence.

AdLFC

They will be going elsewhere

Although I agree.

It's never going to happen, in fact everything points against it; When has Rodgers ever shown such a desire for physical larger players? In fact he goes the other way with all his purchases, smaller, quicker, skillful players with a low center of gravity and the ability to turn and move quickly.

Enrique is far better than Armero. Even though he looked average last year he has really improved this season and I will expect more from him next season. Although Dede and Wanyama would be great signings we have no chance of getting them as every big club in Europe will be after them. Should concentrate on getting a leader at the back like Ashley Williams. J

I see Bayern are the favourites to sign Suarez followed by Barca and Juve. So let's face it he will be away. The temptation to join these massive clubs and play champions league football will be too much to resist.

We were 'favourites' to sign Ribery a while back, it means nothing. He may go but just because a paper has discovered his agent is Guardiola's brother they printed the story. I hope he stays but wouldn't blame him for going. Unfortunately, he is better than us. {Ed002's Note - This is not new and nothing to do with a paper discovering his agent is the brother of Pep Guardiola. By all means live in blissful ignorance, but there is interest in Suarez from a number of sides and offers are going to be made.}

In all honesty we are in a win win situation here, if suarez chooses to stay then that's great, and if he leaves it will give us a healthy figure to replace him with, the only concern is finding a good replacement for him, for me I think with the funds we could be able to bring in both jovetic and alexis sanchez which would cover both striker and wide areas however I very much doubt we will sign them

Bring in jovetic and sanchez? Do you not think they have the same ambition as suarez? behave fella

His agent being Guardiola's brother doesn't make it more likely to happen in my book, you know what family are like.

It makes me laugh when people talk about selling one player and using the money to buy 2 or 3 players. Do people not realise that the new additions actually have wages and the fee paid is only a percentage of how much that player costs.
If we sell Suarez and buy a decent replacement he will want decent wages.

Kev the Red (apples)

There are only 8 teams that could afford suarez.
manu
man c
barca
real
madrid
psg.
bayern
city
and maybe some russian clubs.
no italian club has 40/50mil for 1 player.
bayern does not worry me, but barca/madrid do they are the big clubs in uruguay it will be hard for suarez to say no.

Bids will be made for Suarez no one doubts that. but its not like we haven't lost fantastic players in the past, we just need to use the money wisely and replace him I think Jackson from Porto would be nice considering he has scored a bucket load of goals this season. we just have to accept that we will struggle for a few more seasons as we 4 quality players off 4th spot!

Suarez is staying. Reliable info. (i did ask if Ed02 or 01 would care to email me I can confidentially tell them what I have been told - My post was not shown)

Hi Eds,

So which players do you see leaving Liverpool in the summer. I've heard that Coates and Skrtel are likely to leave. I believe you said there was interest in Reina and so he might go in pursuit of Champs League football. And then there is the possibility of Suarez moving on (although I won't draw you into commenting on that because it might draw a reaction). Are there any others that might be leaving? - has Downing silenced his critics and earned his place in the team?

Thanks,

RedSam {Ed002's Note - I would expoect a fewer of teh younger players will move on as well - Wilson and the like.}

Wilson, Pacheco, Spearing, Carroll, possibly Shelvey. Plus Coates, Skertel, possibly Reina and Carra retiring Ed. It could be a hell of a lot of players to replace in one window.

a simple question to eds. what are chances of Liverpool in summer to grap a real quality player with whom we wil almost sure to qualify for champions league in next season. can u mention some player's name. {Ed002's Note - I really can't help you with this, sorry. The focus for the summer will be the defence and I expect thought of a versatile wide player are still there. As I have explained before, anything else will likely depend on someone leaving - then perhaps your question will be easier to answer.}

'Quality' player is a subjective term, right ed? ;)

Hi ed, do Liverpool have any interest in Matej Vydra, you said previously that Udinese have no intention to sell him but I was wondering whether there has been any change in that and do you see him moving in the summer?

JC {Ed002's Note - Udinese has no interest in selling Vydra although they are aware of interest from Juventus, Bayer Leverkusen and Manchester City.}
