Ed02 you said we were interested in Praet. Do you see us bidding for him? {Ed002's Note - I don't know. But the interest was pretty intense for a while earlie in the year.}

if suarez doesn't get his move to madrid do you reckon he may stay with us despite what Macca because whatever happens I can't imagine us being stupid enough to sell suarez to arsenal

Believable71 Unbelievable22

He looked like he wasn't happy to play the in te friendly Wednesday, so I should imagine if a club meets Liverpool's valuation then he'll be gone despite who it may be.

I suspect arsenal will make another bid of £45 million which may be accepted if suarez thought the media was bad now I think it will get a lot worse when the move goes through

As the old cliche goes. Everything has a price. lots of people have pointed out what LFC has won in the recent past. Sewer'ez saga now is creeping in to the annoying territory where it could create discontent amongst the team (Clearly a tactic he and his mgt team are working on!) I think the L'pool mgt have behaved correctly, either ask for a transfer or have Arsenal meet our valuation, one could argue that in the light of recent transfers the 40mm talk to other club cause seems cheap, but his previous behaviour suggests that its not far from fair value. I am not against selling him to the Arse. I think it could be a real case of caveat emptor.

Agree2 Disagree1

Not stupid at all. It gets rid of a huge problem, and dumps it on Arsenal. We get cash.

How long do you think he will remain at Arsenal, before he calls in the lawyers and forces himself out yet again, to Spain or Italy?

Arsenal are dreaming if they think it is going to end well.

Agree3 Disagree1

We won't play for us though. he's Arsenal bound

Agree1 Disagree0

IMO I think lfc are waiting for him to hand in transfer request until then he'll be told not for sale, rightly so if we accepted 35m 2 m plus goes to him so actually we don't get as much. Coupled with the fact that the arse are our rivals they must pay over the odds for him. As he is currently our star player put the cash up inc covering his leaving fee or go forth and multiply Mr Wenger, right on LFC stick to your guns, in addition I would place an end of next week time scale on it, if the right bid not received by then, then the door is closed then we can move on with securing our targets without the nause of it all.

As has been said - most definitely 'caveat emptor'. This is not untypical behaviour on his part when trying to force a move. It's a shame because when his head is in the right space he is a brilliant football player but there is more to it than that. The media hoop-la is tiresome and it will be a genuine relief to see him move on regardless of destination.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sell LS to Arse for 45 million, he plays CL until Arse are knocked out in the group stage, Arse finish 6th in the 13/14 PL season. No CL for LS 14/15 season. LFC laugh all the way to the bank.

Personally can't wait to see the back of him. He has dragged our name through the mud and while he is an outstanding talent, this is the only thing that has saved him from being ousted by us instead of his instigation. He shown his colours now, we don't need players of his lack of commitment or lack of any honour. I hope he never pulls on our shirt again. He has shown he is not fit to wear it.

Agree3 Disagree1

I heard that Real want Bale still, so there trying to get him and then they will bid for Suarez whether they get Bale or not.

Agree1 Disagree0

I'd happily take 45m from Arsenal on the condition that Suarez must put in a transfer request.

I really don't understand Suarez's logic towards moving to Arsenal and playing in the CL for them, he must have the "It's not about winning, it's about the taking part" mentality because there are at least 8 teams more likely to win it than Arsenal.

Agree0 Disagree1

27 Jul 2013 06:25:47
There is no logic, he is not a logical person and clearly has mental health problems.

Agree0 Disagree1

If Arsenal get Suarez they will win the Premier and or possibly the Champions League? Any of you numpties given any thought to that possibility? {Ed001's Note - hahaha, not a chance. That is a ludicrous statement. They need to sign another 10 players to reach the level Bayern are at.}

Agree0 Disagree0

He will go to any club in the major leagues that offers cl and have a decent chance for league titles. Just like Torres. Suarez would gladly join any top teams in France, Italy, Spain, England or Germany. His shortlist consists of Man C/U, Arsenal (why?), Chelsea, Barca, RM, PSG, Monaco, AC, Juve, Napoli(?) and Bayern M. Today players like these aren't team supporters. They are business men. And their numbers are growing.

Agree0 Disagree0

Selling suarez is a win win for us 45m to 50m. he won't play the first 6 games. then how long before he does something silly the guy has lost the plot. not just that the media will pick up everything even some foul language towards another player. the fa and the media will be watching him like a hawk.

Agree0 Disagree1

Sell him to the highest bidder and use the money to strengthen the team. I am sure we already have plans in place for when he is sold.

Sure, he is a world class player, we all know that, but he is just another mercenary who is out for the money. Whe

The sooner fans from all clubs wake up and realise this the better.

Gaz1975.

Agree0 Disagree1

I would happily see Suarez go to any club that will have him. as long as he hands in a transfer request, Liverpool get £45 million AND a percentage of the future sell-on fee for when Suarez decides that the media hate him, Arsenal aren't big enough, his wife is home-sick and that he will only truly be happy in Spain.

Robbie's Noseband

Agree0 Disagree0

Suarez is a world class player, our best player last season. Without his goals we'd do a lot worse than 7th in league. Arsenal had a better defensive record than Champions Man United last term, which means they simply didn't score enough goals. With Suarez banging the goals in for fun ( like we all know he can do on a consistent basis) arsenal will be a force this season. If we do sell him to arsenal we should ask for nothing less than 50million. Personally I think he's better than Higuain or Benzema (just my opinion, some may argue) and I hope RM make a serious effort to buy him over Bale who'd be way more expensive

Agree1 Disagree0

Selling him to arensal would a big mistake we mite get 40-45m of them but times running out to make any big signs with out cl football it's going to be hard to bring in a big name, talk him into staying for another season if we miss out on the top 4 then let him go!

Saw that Liverpool offered 17 mil for Muriel? Any truth in this or is it a when Suarez leaves they'll consider him situation? Thanks.

Believable36 Unbelievable22

Think we have to forget about Muriel mate. Would be an exciting signing but can't see udinese selling him or him getting a work permit.

Agree0 Disagree3

I doubt it. But Suarez is definitely leaving, and if he wasn't, would you cheer for him? I think he is a backstabbing piece of s$$t.

Agree3 Disagree1

Until he leaves he's our player, he's our piece of s$$t and I will support him so long as he wears our shirt.

It's fair to say that he hasn't come out and said anything in support of LFC but at the same time the supposed interviews he gave through the summer either never occurred or were poorly translated.

The quotes have been picked to suit the London media's anti-LFC agenda, with part of that agenda being the turning of LFC fans against their own players.

Divide and conquer. Don't stand for it, don't fall for it, don't indulge in it.

Agree4 Disagree3

Not sure why you say you will continue supporting Suarez while he is our player? Loyalty to this great club I understand but what that's has to do with supporting a player that clearly shows no respect for it, I am not sure

Gareth

Agree1 Disagree1

Gareth, I think he's talking more about the fact that because he supports Liverpool, he'll still support Suarez if he's here come start of the season. Support is different to respect and I'm sure that no Liverpool fan fully respects Suarez at this moment in time.

Agree4 Disagree1

Simple fact, if Suarez is with us at start of season, we back him, he's a lfc player. We need a player like luisea

Agree1 Disagree0

Ill be honest, if Gerrard was to swap Liverpool for ANY top 5 Team in EPL, I would hate him for eternity. Do you ever see Utd selling their star players to rival EPL clubs, unless offcourse if they are well past their expiry(awesome player) date if you get my drift. Liverpool must develop this approach to EPL rivals, "You want our stars, you can have them when they are past their prime AND want out. Otherwise we only sell to clubs outside England, end of". I don't care even if Arsenal sell Emirates stadium to buy Suarez for the price of the stadium, we don't sell Suarez to Arsenal, Real madrid are welcome to bid but must pay our fee. End of Rant. :-)

Ed02 are we interested in the Brazialian Doria?

Peter {Ed002's Note - Liverpool aren't but two other clubs are.}

Believable7 Unbelievable15

Does he have a buyout clause ed? Any idea what it is around?

Peter

Chelsea are one of the clubs?

Agree1 Disagree1

Hes commign to chelsea! :P

Agree0 Disagree1

What a pity, he looks like he will be class.

p.s. how many players will Chelsea actually buy before they knock it on the head, they must have enough for 2 full squads worth of talent now, surely they can't just buy everyone?

Peter {Ed002's Note - It is unimportant - it is nothing to do with Liverpool.}

Hey Eds

Is there any interest in Heung Son Min? From Liverpool or anyone else? {Ed002's Note - He has already moved once this summer - he won't be moving to Liverpool.}

Believable6 Unbelievable20

You would of thought if people are asking about a player they'd at least have some base knowledge such as Son moving to Bayer L earlier in the window.

Thank you eds for all the good Work!
Is there any possibility we will sell Suarez to Barca in a swap deal for Sanchez, and then bring in Lamela with the 20 mio we would get in too? {Ed002's Note - No.}

Morning Eds,

Not necessarily Liverpool related but do you know if any teams hold interest in Toni Kroos? he's a fantastic player and with Bayern seemingly strengthening in his sort of area would you see him getting much of a look in?

Cheers, {Ed002's Note - BM has no intention of selling Kroos but there would be plenty of interest if he became available.}

Ed02 any premiership clubs interested in luis gustavo or capoue?

Mike {Ed002's Note - Inter Milan and Chelsea are interested in Gustavo. He wants to stay at Bayern Munich but they would like to see him move on.

Cardiff has an interest in Capoue, but I think Atletico might be where he ends up.}
