Hi ed's
I've heard that the Moses loan rumour may have some legs. This from my source who has good knowledge of the football league and who has provided me with goo Tom Ince and jay spearing updates this summer. And before anyone points out that Chelsea are a premiership team, I know! Haha. But he also played for crystal palace in the championship and more recently Wigan! Cheers

Believable16 Unbelievable39

In his press conference today BR played a straight bat when asked about Moses and neither confirmed nor denied any interest. Which makes me think there IS interest! {Ed002's Note - Maybe a smokescreen?}

Agree3 Disagree0

A smokescreen for who Ed? Or are you just speculating? {Ed002's Note - I am simp[ly hanging out with the guys.}

Agree3 Disagree0

Please no more damn smokescreens!

Agree1 Disagree0

I thought Moses worked really hard and took many of his chances that Rafa gave him towards the end of last season and I think earned Chelsea some really important points in the League.

Don't get me wrong, I'd love Mata, Eriksen, Turan, Sakho, both Igigo and Jackson Martinez, Costa and players of this sort of pedigree to be forming an orderly que to join us with a happy and sane Suarez and a revitalised and replenished squad really ready to compete with: Chelsea, United, Spurs, City and even Arsenal but it doesn't look like we are in that kind of financial position to make those sort of signings and if Moses on loan and maybe a defender is the best we do then we can only soldier on and get grizzly against the opposition and fight like wounded dogs for points.

P.S. I would personally give massive credit to FSG if they signed Lamela ahead of Spurs just to double slap crup in their faces for the Will I isn't they tried to pull on us, even loaning Borini back as part of the deal, maybe Ljajic and Illori as well, there's only a few days left so what about if all fails Babel with his helicopter? :)

Agree3 Disagree0

I see Ed, your smokescreen was a smokescreen!
This whole thing gets deeper and deeper with every word said or written.
What ever next?
We wait on every word to get a glimpse beyond the veil of mortals into the illuminated world of player transfers.

Agree3 Disagree0

Well BR did deny that we had an interest in signing Bale but could that just be a smokescreen too?

Agree2 Disagree0

If it's a loan to buy, like Cissokho, then fair enough but I really don't see any point in a straight loan deal.
Why on earth would we develop a rival team's player only to hand them back improved and with more experience?
I would rather we invested in the like of Ayew or Turan and developed them for our own benefit.

Agree1 Disagree0

Now after last night's game David Moyse refused to comment on whether Man U were the other club bidding for Bale so it seems there's a lot of smokescreens in the air.

Agree2 Disagree1

Personally don't want him! Sterling and Ibe can be better!

Agree6 Disagree2

Agree YNWA JFT96 jns Sterling & Ibe should be given the chance and i'd rather us buy Ince than Moses.

ed002 reports in france say it is now between us and roma for sakho. Is this true? {Ed002's Note - I am not aware of any offer from Liverpool.}

Believable11 Unbelievable15

Sakho will go ac milan

Hi ed's, any chance of Adem Ljajić? I think he'll fit great in our team. Thanks :* {Ed002's Note - Ljajic is certainly available and certainly trying to engineer a move out of Fiorentina. An expected move to Milan for Ljajic failed to be completed and whilst Torino and Atletico Madrid were still pushing for the player, I would suspect something will still happen with Milan, or with Roma if Lamela moves on. A new contract with Fiorentina was rejected on August 23 and Atletico has immediately turned their attentions to Eriksen after being told that the player will move to Roma or Milan. This will likely run until close to the end of the window.}

Believable4 Unbelievable12

Heard that Cardiff have made a move for him, dunno how true it is though.

Agree2 Disagree0

Think he is going to roma as hopefully we have got lamela {Ed002's Note - That is the most likely scenario Dave.}

Agree0 Disagree1

When you say the most likely scenario Ed002, does that mean that Liverpool have a chance to get Lamela? {Ed002's Note - No - Dave supports Spurs.}

Agree1 Disagree1

Thought as much, thanks for clarification Ed.

ed002 AS are reporting that we have opened talks with real madrid over suarez. Is this true? {Ed002's Note - I am not aware that talks have actually started, but this news was from Suarez's camp yesterday afternoon - it was his second press release of the weekend through his "friend". He has provided the same statement to a Uruguayan radio station as he did to Matallanas yesterday. However, it has been explained that Real Madrid would like to get to the point of being able to negotiate over Suarez, so this should not be a surprise.}

Believable9 Unbelievable23

Liverpool want around £50M for Suarez and i'm sure Madrid will offer players plus cash to lower the fee to around £30M so could you shed some light on the players that Madrid are likely to try and include in the deal eds {Ed002's Note - Assume any early negotiations might include discussion on Cheryshev, Oscar Plano and Nacho.}

Agree1 Disagree1

{Ed002's Note - Navjyot - You truly don't seem to understand anything on this page or anything about the transfer process at all.}

Agree1 Disagree1

So in short. The players they don't want anymore {Ed002's Note - No. Actually the players they don't want right now are Khedira, Benzema and Coentrao.}

Agree1 Disagree0

Would mesut ozil be available in a player plus cash deal? Could fit well into the system and would provide plenty of chances as well as goals!? I would guess we would also need another striker in addition! {Ed002's Note - Oezil's representative has been concerned that he may not get enough game time this year and has approached clubs in England and Germany. However, I don't see any chance of a move to Liverpool for him.}

Agree1 Disagree1

Hi ed002, do you see Liverpool being interested in any of those 3 players you mention real don't want, Benzema, Khediea, Coentrao as part of the deal as all 3 could improve our starting 11 {Ed002's Note - I don't see Benzema or Khedira as options at all. Coentrao is a left back and Liverpool seems to have plenty of cover.}

Agree1 Disagree1

Why would we want any of those players, they in no way what so ever would improve us? {Ed002's Note - They have other players they may well also make available for loan, but there seems little point in continuing this thread any further.}

Agree3 Disagree0

Well cheryshev would cover the left wing spot nacho the young cd we've been saying we need I'd not heard of plano but looked at his games and goal ratios and he is hardly prolific. not sure don't know much about cheryshev could be a good player might not too would that both be loans or permanent moves.

Agree0 Disagree1

Cheers ed002 for the reply

I know It would be hard for us to lure the likes of Khediea and Benzema without CL but in a World Cup year surely these are players that are looking for first team football which we could offer, just hope we have time to replace Suarez if/when he leaves {Ed002's Note - They are players Real Madrid want to sell but neither wants to go to the clubs that have shown an interest in them. And at the price RM are asking for Khedira I doubt anyone would be interested.}

Agree2 Disagree0

Only way we should even think about letting him leave this late on in the window is if it was for ridiculous money or they were very, very generous in terms of players they'd be willing to give us in part-exchange. There's only a week left and we don't have Champions League football so basically we stand next to no chance of replacing him with someone of the same calibre.

Agree2 Disagree0

26 Aug 2013 13:47:27
Hi ed02
The players that you mentioned that could potentially be in the deal I think only cheryshev is only worth considering as we need a left winger, Oscar Plano had injury plagued season last season and I don't think he was going to break into the first team anyway. Nacho not sure how well he is rated, maybe ed02 can shed some light how well these players are regarded in the Iberian peninsula. {Ed002's Note - Oscar Plano I suspect will move on from Madrid. He has never fulfilled his promise and I think a loan might be a last chance to prove himself. A lot is expected of Cheryshev and they would like to keep him and let him get game time where he can. But a move away on loan would give him experience. Nacho is versatile and can play centre back or left back. He is a Castilla player who also has a first team squad number. Again it is a matter of opportunity and gaining experience. There are others that could potentially be put on the table or they might be able to fund a cash deal.}

Agree1 Disagree1

£40m plus Nacho and Cheryshev should do the deal
Solved our all our problems in one go, a LW, a young CH and 'trouble on legs' gone (although I would rather he stayed, he is a great footballer)

Agree1 Disagree1

JoK, promise me one thing, never ever apply for a job negotiating deals for us, the fact that you would settle for this kind offer means you'd end up selling Suarez for three magic beans if they offered it.
40m plus any of the players mentioned would be another Owen situation, none of them are actually good enough for Madrid and I think that they are championship players at best, all I can say is, I didn't realise that Madrid had cloned Antonio Nunez.

Agree3 Disagree0

Oh God Mark I've spent years trying to forget the abysmal Nunez and you bring him back like Dracula in a movie. I won't sleep tonight thanks to you.

Agree1 Disagree0

Classic Mark

Agree1 Disagree0

Antonio Nunez wasn't even Spanish his name was Tony Nuns a sales assistant from Primark.

Hey ed002, is it true about Mata going to Atletico on loan? Possibly as Turan's replacement? {Ed002's Note - At the start of the window there was interest in the Chelsea's Mata from Barcelona and Real Madrid and, whilst Chelsea do not wish to sell, if the player wants the move there are players from both clubs that Chelsea would consider in part exchange. Atletico have had a bid turned down for Eriksen this weekend and have struggled to get Diego to return. Pjanic has been looked at so there is very clear interest from them in that type of player. As far as I know there has been no approach to Chelsea at this time. The other available player considered to be of a similar style is Ljajic.}

I remember seeing lacazette from Lyon a while ago when he was coming through and looked good, just wondering if there is any interest in him or clubs trying to take him? {Ed002's Note - Both Arsenal and Genoa have been looking to him this summer with Roma having a longer term interest. If a bid comes it will be from Arsenal, but they have some more important shopping to do first.}

AS journalist Javier Matallanas on Monday morning claimes that Real Madrid have opened talks with Liverpool over the transfer of Luis Suarez.

Believable13 Unbelievable42

Spanish press eh? Must be reliable. {Ed002's Note - Actually this is from Suarez's "friend" again - and he has provided the same statement to a Uruguayan radio station as he did to Matallanas yesterday afternoon. The little tinker has had a busy weekend.}

Agree0 Disagree1

Oh Lord here we go again! As much as it would hurt our squad to lose Suarez I'm beginning to think "Christ sell him" because I can't take much more of these constant bloody rumours about him day after day after day.

Agree2 Disagree0

We are just waiting for a transfer request from him I think. At least one of the Eds hinted at it a while ago anyway. e'll be a Madrid player at the end of the window.

I know I'm simply dreaming here but I'd take Ozil in a swap deal of some kind, not that he'd join us of course but still, it's nice to dream.

Agree2 Disagree0

Providing RM are going to offer us something near the money talked about for Bale, let him go. Spuds can keep Bale and let's see the FFP calculation on their financial commitments then! {Ed002's Note - Real Madrid are not going to offer anything like the amount of money that was offered for Bale. And Spurs has no FFP issues.}

Hi eds any truth that we are trying to sign Victor Moses on loan? {Ed001's Note - I have not heard anything about this, I very much doubt we would be interested in such a poor player to be honest.}

Believable15 Unbelievable34

It's not like we only ever sign 'good' players.!

Agree0 Disagree5

Bloody hope not!

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would we look at Moses rather than put an offer in for Mata?! Are we really so poor? We have spent no money this transfer window, in fact I think we are in credit players out vs players in.

Agree2 Disagree0

Don't worry boys Spurs will be in like a flash with a much bigger offer now this rumour's up and running.

Agree0 Disagree0

Might not be a world-beater, but I doubt Ed002 would consider Moses 'such a poor player.' Needs confidence and a run of games. Anyone remember Sturridge? {Ed002's Note - Moses is a little like Kalou and often runs out of space around where the penalty area reaches the goal line.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Comparing Sturridge to Moses is ridiculous, Sturridge just wasn't given a chance, Moses is like Kalou, and he is a donkey.

Moses is very one dimensional, would rather take a punt on Eriksen who has the potential to be a world beater, something that Moses doesn't have!

Agree0 Disagree0

Here, here!
Things must be bad if we are being linked to Moses! I would prefer Jesus anytime!

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed001, A bit harsh on Moses maybe? Surely, he'd be a decent signing considering his experience in the Premiership? Looking at our bench v Villa we had a lot of youngsters and maybe Brendan was reluctant to throw them on. I also recall lots of reds doubting Coutinho and Sturridge prior to their signings.
