Are any clubs interested in the Belgian Pro League pair Michy Batshuayi or Club Brugge's goalkeeper Mathew Ryan?
cheers

{Ed002's Note - Someone associated with Arsenal told me a while back there is indeed interest from the club Michy Batshuayi - but I suspect is would be one for the future for them. Additionally, Anderlecht have declared that they would consider resigning the player, and Everton, Milan, Monaco and Lille have watched him recently.

I am not aware of interest in Ryan.}

Matt Ryan trialled with Spuds. As far as I'm aware, that's his only connection with an English club.

Promising keeper, though. He'll attract interest soon enough.

Is Illori likely to play a part next season ed? Or do you think we will buy a cb (if Agger leaves) and he will be sold/loaned?

Cheers!

{Ed002's Note - I would expect Toure, Skrtel, Sakho, Johnson, Kelly and Flanagan to stay. Coates will certainly leave and Agger will probably leave. Cisskho will go after his loan finishes. Coady may well leave. I don't know about Enrique, Robinson, Smith, Wisdom, Ilori, McLaughlin or Sama. One or perhaps two of Agger and Skrtel may well leave. There is interest in Rojo which would provide cover at centre back and potentially left back where a previous enquiry was made about Bertrand. Liverpool has had Juan Guillermo Cuadrado watched, and he is comfortable as a winger or as a right wing back.

I don't think Skrtel will leave now. I think Csonto said recently that there was no chance of Skrtel leaving. With CL football next season and as a regular starter, he would stay IMO, partnering Kirikou.

Sama has not even been playing for the reserves and I expect him to leave along with Robinson. I won't be surprised to see Wisdom sold to Derby either, perhaps with some sort of "first option" deal with Will Hughes included.

Smith and McLaughlin are ready for a season long loan I think. I hope this time around, we loan them to the "right club" so as to avoid another Robinson situation.

Agger and Ilori are interesting. I wonder is LFC will keep Agger for another year and loan Ilori out for another season. Then at the end of next year, when Toure leaves, bring Ilori back into the squad? Just my thoughts.

Regarding Kelly he has been fit for some time now but can't get a look in to save his life. surely a loan out next season would be best. with Johnson and Flanagan RB would be secured.

Agree1 Disagree0

Not a bad idea about Kelly going on loan.

Agree1 Disagree0

Yes AG I would keep agger for another year.
I would keep illori here and play a young side in the cups.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think Llori has a future at LFC. He is a ball playing centre back and that is what Rodgers wants. He is doing very well on loan and I think he will be in the squad for next season.

Agree0 Disagree0

The key thing to consider is who has 2 years left on their contract. It's usually stick or twist time. Wait a year and a players value drops significantly and both Skrtel & Agger will be 30 in a years time. By this logic both could be sold if the club believe they are part of the problem in terms of goals conceded. Skrtel has played very well so maybe there'd be reluctance to change too much although he was clearly not Rodgers cup of tea up until the Manchester United game this season.

Ed02, do you know if any interest has been shown in Fabian Delph? I think he's had a great season and could do much better than battling relegation.

Believable2 Unbelievable24

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool has shown no interest in Delph.}

Thats a shame. I'd prefer him over Parejo. When Hendo is out our midfield lacks power and energy. I thought Delph would've brought that to the side.

Ed02. What are your thoughts on the game at the weekend? who do you see playing for Chelsea, do you think you will beat Athletico? And also where are you from in the states?

Believable7 Unbelievable2

{Ed002's Note - (a) I haven't had any thoughts about the game at the weekend - I rarely have thoughts about the football matches. (b) Chelsea need to beat Atletico to get to the final and I rather like the idea of an evening out in Lisbon, so I shall be hoping. (c) I was born in Bellevue, WA but moved to the San Francisco Bay area when I was about five. From 1975 until I left 1981 were spent living in Berkeley. Since then I have lived most of the time in Europe.}
