I've just seen an article linking us with Ryan Fraser. I know a few other big clubs have been monitoring him (Arsenal, Chelsea, Man U, Everton) .

Are we now in the running for him? Also, wasn't he this season highest chance creator? (And yes, I'm aware that it's quantity and not quality of chances) .

I was just wondering if anyone else knew anything about this.

These rumours been going around for a few days. Yes I think after Hazard was top assists. I have never really watched him much and think there are better options out there.

Arsenal favourites to sign him.

I don't think we have any serious interest in him, more effective as a winger then a CAM. I wouldn't be surprised to see Arsenal or Spurs make a move, though probably as a second choice or if their budget is stretched thin from picking up a couple players.

Ed002 said he hadn't heard anything about a Liverpool offer but mentioned him as a possible target on the arsenal page and said "Ryan Fraser (LW) has the advantage of being home grown".

I’m not sure on the stat, but if he created a chance, I think it’s like created a shot, so I think that denotes quality. Maybe with a more clinical striker he would have got more assists. Again, it’s a stat that looks good, but means very little.

I think mane got three assists this year, and 22 goals. That would suggest he is selfish. but he’s far from it.

We could do a lot worse imo, looked good this season when I watched him.

24 May 2019 18:48:58
Thanks for your replies, guys.

He certainly doesn't sound like the worst player we could be linked with. And if he's a left sided winger he'd offer a good rotation option considering that Mane played on the right before we signed Salah.

I guess it's just a "wait and see".

He had a fantastic season, always remember him coming on against us and turning the game in their favour when they beat us 4-3!

Don't know if he has the quality we need but seems a Klopp type of player with pace to burn and good work ethic.

Bit of a Liverpool fan as well by all accounts.

25 May 2019 01:23:10
I'd be happy to get Fraser he's a pest and would buy into the work rate that Jurgen demands also played with Robertson at international level . He's certainly got something about him on the pitch and doesn't seem to have a massive ego.

Can anyone name a player we've been linked with who isn't a 'Liverpool fan'?

{Ed025's Note - gareth bale..

Reminds me of the transfer of Charlie Adam. I'd look else where.

Agree1 Disagree3

25 May 2019 11:09:23
magico. Because he's Scottish?

He's nothing like Charlie Adam in any way apart from that.

25 May 2019 13:54:42
About the same level if you ask me. hardly stands out in an average team. so in my opinion he isn't good enough. Each to their own.

Descent player.

Could be a all Scottish left side with and robbo and Fraser, be excellent edition to our squad at a reasonable price.

Agree1 Disagree0

26 May 2019 04:46:12
I wouldn't mind him. He'd be like Robbo, Milner and Hendo when it comes to work rate and not being a flashy player but getting the job done.

If the price is right then why not :)

Ryan frazior has been a phenomenon for Bournemouth this season. He deserves a move to a big club. I think he would suit our style well but id expect a higher profile attacking mid if we sign one. Arsenal bound sounds aboit right.

Liverpool have been keeping a close eye on Ayoze Perez and have approached Newcastle with an enquiry as to his availability.

Believable2 Unbelievable15

24 May 2019 12:59:53
nonsense.

Agree9 Disagree4

24 May 2019 14:23:13
Maybe not, mark. Maybe they inquired about his availability as a hairdresser, or they could be keeping a close eye on him because he was seen sniffing around the dumpster round the back of the training ground.

Agree1 Disagree0

24 May 2019 16:31:51
Gotta ask why would it be nonsense?

24 May 2019 16:58:26
He's not good enough for this level.

Agree2 Disagree2

24 May 2019 17:51:57
because there would be 20+ better options and if it was a choice on Perez or no one I am fairly certain it would be no one.

Any updates on Bertrand tryora.

Agree1 Disagree5

24 May 2019 18:06:18
oh stop it, everyone. he's really good. underrated. it wouldn't shock me if he is on our watch list, but what does that really mean. there's a long ways to go from being watched to being serious about acquiring.

Agree2 Disagree2

24 May 2019 18:31:14
Well I respect your opinion but it's absolutely true that Liverpool feel Perez is an option and they are interested in him. He can play in the false nine role, either wing and would be available for around £20 million.

As I mentioned an enquiry has been made so you could possibly hear about it soon enough.

I am just going to add this. There are a few players not considered good enough to be a red that Klopp has turned into a fans favourite. Ryan Fraser could be next.
Or Wif Zaha
Or van aanholt
Or gylfi Sigurdsson.

Agree0 Disagree2

24 May 2019 20:26:14
Wrong post to reply to langland.

Wilf Zaha is being touted as a £80m transfer. So that's him as a no go.

Van Aanholt's best position is left back and Robertson is better. He wouldn't want to be back up.

Sigurdsson would be expensive too and I don't think he justifies value. He creates tons of chances but most are crosses to the outside of the box and have a 20% chance of becoming an effort on target. He can shoot from distance but I don't see the same work ethic as Klopp likes from his midfielders. He certainly doesn't work as hard as Milner, Henderson or Lallana.

To the people who suggest that Perez isn't good enough for Liverpool. He was the hardest working forward in the league, he completed 60 tackles compared to Firmino who completed 29. He scored 12 league goals in a very average Newcastle team, the same as Firmino. He made 42 interceptions compared to Firmino who made 6 interceptions. However Firmino completed more passes, 1279 compared to Perez who completed 779.

At the age of 25, for someone who can play anywhere across the front from inside forward to false number nine, and with plenty premier league experience, why is it so hard to believe that Liverpool have made an enquiry for this player? If Liverpool sign him or not is a different matter, I'm just sharing what I know and that is that Liverpool have been watching him closely and see him as a realistic option.

Agree6 Disagree0

25 May 2019 08:40:29
Good player Perez.

He at Newcastle and that explains his low passes.

Great shout to go for him imo.

Agree2 Disagree1

25 May 2019 12:51:00
Bhayne you make a good case. Let's see what happens. Easy though to compare with Firmino last season as he had a well below par season.

Agree2 Disagree0

25 May 2019 15:30:25
My sentiments too bhayne. Looks decent the times I've seen him and is a grafter which Klopp likes. Case of snobbery me thinks.

26 May 2019 12:55:56
People said the same things aboit robbo and aoc. When are people going to stop questioning our recruitment?

Agree1 Disagree0

26 May 2019 14:14:00
Yes I think people seem to forget that Klopp and his team of coaches has the ability to improve players.

Being around top quality players day in day out can also make you up your game. As mentioned above, Robbie and the Ox are perfect examples, even Gomez alongside Van Dijk.

If Liverpool do sign Perez I think it could be a great bit of business.

Morning Eds,

Any update on Adrien Rabiot I remember a while back that it was touted that Klopp and Liverpool were keen.

Has it cooled or are we still interested in signing him?

Believable0 Unbelievable1

{Ed001's Note - we are not going to meet his financial expectations.}

24 May 2019 10:36:43
I’m quite interested to see where he ends up, you would assume he would of agreed somewhere in the background.

As you say, whilst he is a “free transfer” his total costs will be astronomical.

Where do you think he will end up?

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - not a clue, maybe Man Utd due to the costs involved.}

24 May 2019 10:42:38
His mum was a big part of the problem wasn't she?

Agree3 Disagree0

24 May 2019 12:43:42
Thanks for the heads up Ed001,

a talented lad that's for sure. As stated, you would think a move would be close to happening or if not completed already.

Money talks! Sadly.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - welcome.}

24 May 2019 12:58:46
If Ramsey is getting those daft wages at Juve on the open market Rabiot will want something similar.

Agree1 Disagree0

24 May 2019 14:02:21
Don’t see why we need another midfielder to be honest.

Agree2 Disagree1

24 May 2019 14:31:36
It's a common theme these days for players who let their contract run down then go looking for whatever club will pay him the most. Meyer going to Palace, for example. I wouldn't want any player that thinks he the dog's b*/ / #x or puts money first. It's pretty short-sighted and usually not in the best interest of their career. Pricing themselves out of a deal with a top team and ending up at a mid-table club for more money shows they value money over ambition. Have fun at Old Trafford, Adrien, we have no place for mercenaries.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - there is a lot more to it than that.}

24 May 2019 15:35:24
Has been treated like poo at PSG, I would run down my contract too if I was in his shoes.

Agree4 Disagree0

24 May 2019 16:24:08
What goes around, comes around. Takes two hands to clap. It's life. Two sides to everything. If he got poo'd on he must have done some pooing himself. 🤷‍♂️.

Agree1 Disagree4

{Ed001's Note - that is absolute nonsense. Innocent people are murdered every day for nothing other than being in the wrong place at the wrong time. They haven't done 'some pooing'. Life is not like that at all. The rich poo on the poor all the time for no reason other than they are poor and can be taken advantage of.}

24 May 2019 17:20:53
He hasn't played in 6 months.

Agree2 Disagree0

25 May 2019 08:57:28
Sounds like he could be a 'problem child' from my limited reading on his issues at PSG so I'd rather pass.
