Are Liverpool actually in talks with henrikh mkhitaryan because according to his Facebook page he's distant himself is the page actually him though shed some light eds {Ed002's Note - The situation is as I have explained.}

Eds, sorry if it comes up so much, but what is the situation with mickey? {Ed002's Note - RTP.}

Agree0 Disagree0

That's odd because the Echo was saying yesterday that an agreement had been reached for around the £20 mil mark and they cited and linked to some Armenian paper as the source.

I for one hope this is a signing that happens as he looks pretty good.

Hi eds, will Gerard Deulofeu be leaving Barcelona? Has Liverpool looked at him in the past?

Redjav {Ed002's Note - Gerard Deulofeu was one of the two Barcelona players who was again discussed betweenBarcelona and Chelsea earlier this year and Chelsea were told he would not be sold. Offers from Espanyol and Bayer Leverkusen have been rejected. If a sale is possible, expect interest from Bayern Munich and also an approach from Txiki Begiristain on behalf of Manchester City.}

Rodgers saying that he and Reina went out for a meal a couple of months before the end of last season to clarify that he intended to bring in another top keeper, in order to provide competition and squad depth.

Great management in my opinion.

Believable65 Unbelievable11

It was in Brendans favourite restaurant in Liverpool. San Carlos on Castle Street. Brendan took the whole team there s few months back too.

Agree0 Disagree0

Great management and much needed competition for Pepe - Hopefully force him back to best plus, when he does go (which I suspect will be next summer), we will have a qulaity proven (and still relatively young for a keeper) replacement

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah he took the team as a reward for winning three in a row. Pretty embarrassing really, that should b an expectation for Liverpool players, not something that gets made a fuss of by the manager

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah because Mignolet will leave Sunderland where he's first choice to potentially be on the bench at Liverpool in the season before the World Cup? Wake up. Pepe's gone

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with the fella who says Pepe's gone. Anybody who thinks either would gladly sit on the bench needs to give their head a wobble. Don't get me wrong it would be brilliant to have the both of them (especially considering Brad Jones is complete and utter tosh) but it isn't going to happen.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah, I expect Pepe will leave too. If he doesn't, then we'll have blasted ~£10m of our transfer budget for a position that we're already covered on.

Competition for places is good and everything, but I wouldn't have thought we had enough money lying around to do things like that.

DK

Agree0 Disagree0

Not great management

Agree0 Disagree0

Liverpool don't have 9m to spend on a reserve keeper. reina is obviously leaving

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jun 2013 22:57:43
The last supper?

Agree0 Disagree0

Can't think of any other club that has 2 first choice keepers apart from Spurs maybe? Sad to admit I think Pepe gone, maybe a swap deal for a promising Barca player?

I am very worried agger may leave if barca keep knocking hard saying no twice to them ed001 how much would the club value agger at roughly speaking of course? {Ed001's Note - it doesn't matter as Agger would continue to reject offers.}

Believable38 Unbelievable15

Agger is one Liverpool player who would only leave if we wanted to sell him, a very loyal player like hypia.

Ynwa

Agree0 Disagree0

Id be very disappointed if Agger wasn't our vice captain next season.

Agree0 Disagree0

All credit to the lad. Loves the team & has shown his loyalty, so credit whereit is due, Hope the team reward him with the vice capticy.
Canadian Red

Agree0 Disagree0

Why have I read that Agger was keen to hear the offer from Monaco. That its likely Skrtel is staying because Agger is going

Agree0 Disagree0

Agger should be vice-captain! No question!

Agree0 Disagree0

I thought Ed002 said Agger was interested in hearing the terms Monaco were offering him? [FR] {Ed002's Note - He was and he did.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Brendan should bring Agger for a meal to sort out the challenges for next year

Agree0 Disagree0

Daniel Agger interview to Danish media:

'Yes they (Barca) are a very big club but I have never thought of leaving Liverpool unless they sell me'

'The people, the club officials, the players, are a integral part of my life' I even have YNWA tattooed on my knuckles'

Agger: 'frankly its a matter of indifference to me whether we finish in the top 4 or in the top 6 or in the mid table'

'I love the club like I love my family members. I have always wanted to be there and no where else'

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed001 do you still expect Skrtel will leave?

Hi eds, are Liverpool still interested in signing Tom Ince? {Ed002's Note - I doubt it now.}

Believable9 Unbelievable49

Off to Cardiff.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jun 2013 19:38:32
I like Tom Ince from what I've seen. He scored more goals last season than Zaha and provided more assists so he's a steal for half the price.

Agree0 Disagree0

Not when you sold him for what we did

Agree0 Disagree0

Why ed? Sorry if that's a dumb question?

Chris I {Ed002's Note - That is a question for Rodgers I am afraid.}

Agree0 Disagree0

I still don't think he is good enough for LFC, he faded second half of season when grounds got heavy
We will still get almost £3m in fees

Agree0 Disagree0

I think he's taken a bit of ill-advice and it may scupper his progress for a couple of years. let's pray its not another Scott Sinclair.

Hiya Eds

Heard a very strong rumor going around that we are looking to sign 2 of the following 3 players. Iker Muniain, Ejio Elia, Christian Tello. And I've also heard we are trying to sign Douglas from twente on a free. Also Mickey won't be coming to Liverpool. We are looking at Roberto Soldado for 15m. Could you please tell me if these have anything in them? Thanks. Great site BTW {Ed002's Note - I suspect a trip on the search engine would prove enlightening for you.}

Believable15 Unbelievable51

Ed. Sorry but were is the search engine? I always see you tell people to use it but were is it please? {Ed052's Note - It is at the top of the page by the banner}

Agree0 Disagree0

Lfc will not be signing any of those players, sorry!

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't think the poster is right in anything of what he has written. Would LOVE Muniain and Tello to join.

Agree0 Disagree0

I reckon will still get mickey and I do think we can temp tello to come to us maybe with suarez money going for hulk as he ain't playing that well at zenit

Agree0 Disagree0

Hulk? Soldado? None will happen

Agree0 Disagree0

Do you really think, that after buying Sturridge, Coutinho, Aspas and Alberto that Liverpool will buy 2 more forwards?

Agree0 Disagree0

Subtle, gentle humour and sarcasm yet again from Ed002! I love that gal!
We must all prostrate ourselves at the feet of the queen of the Liverpool rumours site ;p
Ill leave it up to the rest of yous Eds to fight it out whose king!

eds, hint of MOTD fever but is there any interest in Hernandez, I'm sure I remember us being interested a couple of seasons ago.seen a bit of him in serie A for palermo and he looked ok (admittedly haven't seen him this season when they got relegated). {Ed002's Note - Not at this time.}

Talk sport just said we were looking at Elia again, recycled news or genuine.? {Ed002's Note - I am not aware of any interest in Elia from Liverpool at this time although enquiries were made by Saloniki and Kayseri Erciyesspor - but no offers have been submitted.}

Believable6 Unbelievable20

Hope not. He is simply not a good enough player for any of the PL teams let alone LFC.

Morning Ed's, Would Samir Nasri be avaiable? Or would his wages be an issue?

Red Lee {Ed002's Note - Liverpool has no interest in Nasri although there are other clubs who do.}

Believable3 Unbelievable25

Over rated and over paid. No thank you.

I expect his attitude would be as much of an issue as his wages.

What's going to happen with the centre backs ed. is kolo really carras replacement. {Ed002's Note - Right now Carragher has gone and Toure has arrived. Think of it as experience rather than a direct replacement. I expect that Coates will leave and Ilori will arrive. Skrtel was certainly expected to leave but I am told that Csonto has told Zenit St Petersburg that his client will stay in Liverpool and it will be Agger that will leave. That seems a little surprising although it was clear that Agger wanted to hear what Monaco were putting on the table via his agent. Now it seems Barcelona will turn their attention to Agger as there preferred choice is not going to be available. If Liverpool sell Agger or Skrtel then another centre back will be required. If not, then perhaps Ilori will be it. As the transfer window has yet to open there is still a long time to go, so we will see.}

Believable12 Unbelievable19

We were looking 27m last year so I doubt Barca will pay that to be honest!

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't think rodgers would let carragher and agger both leave if he does that's stupid knew goalkeeper and 2 knew CB it would take a bit of time for them to gel plus agger is amazing and has already said he will reject the big clubs why else would he get ynwa on his hand not slagging eds of btw I think thy do a good job
Lfcleee

Agree0 Disagree0

That is very surprising indeed. I hope Agger doesn't leave but I simply cannot see Barcelona meeting our valuation of Agger. It is I guess possible that Barca might include a player in trying to get Agger, i.e, Tello.

The real AG {Ed002's Note - I really don't know, but I do expect an enquiry to be made.}

Agree0 Disagree0

I think it would be highly surprising Agger leaving from what I heard he said about playing for Liverpool last week.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agger didn't have a good season either and would command a higher fee than Skrtel and with his previous injury record I see how he could become available alright

Agree0 Disagree0

Why does no one mention martin kelly and wisdom as they can both do a job at centre half and I think kelly will be there for a long time if he can stay fit

Agree0 Disagree0

Kolo Toure replaces Jamie Carragher.
Tiago Ilori replaces Sebastian Coates.
If Martin Skrtel goes we replace him with Kyriakos Papadopoulos.
If Daniel Agger goes we replace him with Toby Alderweireld.
Is that about right eds? {Ed052's Note - I don't think both Agger and Skrtel will go, we cannot afford to lose both. Agger would be a massive blow, but I see no point keeping Skrtel.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed052 I didn't mean we would sell both.
I meant if we were to lose Martin Skrtel then Kyriakos Papadopoulos would be our first choice replacement. A younger ball winning centre back.
If we were to lose Daniel Agger then Toby Alderweireld would be our first choice replacement. A younger ball playing centre back.
So depending on the player we sell it changes our first choice centre back replacement? Am I right? {Ed052's Note - No, I wouldn't say so. Papa would be our first choice but cost could be too high, and we've walked away from Alderweireld. He may move before we get the opportunity to go back in for him}

Agree0 Disagree0

Eds who do you think is the better player between papa and alderweireld? {Ed052's Note - Papa}

Agree0 Disagree0

Kyriakos Papadopoulos is first choice but the price is too high + we've walked away from Toby Alderweireld and might be too late to go back in for him.
Do you know of another player/s Liverpool could go for?

Agree0 Disagree0

Skrtel out. Agger staying
Ynwa

Agree0 Disagree0

Selling agger would be another massive step backwards again best centre back at the club and had a good season with injurys for a change!

Agree0 Disagree0

Eds quick question, due to the known ownership issue of HM do you see us still buying the player? WIll it just be a case of being patient like the aspas deal? Or do you think we will turn our attentions elsewhere? Seems quite stupid to not understand his ownership details before:.
Dave {Ed002's Note - Liverpool were aware that investors in the players were looking for a return and that there would be significant fees related to his representation. It is now down to (a) are the club still interested? and (b) can an acceptable deal still be negotiated. I suspect that can be done given there are not at this time other clubs who will pay the amount being requested.}

Believable13 Unbelievable5

Ed002 is the fee requested 30 million euros? {Ed002's Note - It would most probably be an acceptable fee - plus the agent and representatives fees of course.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Edd Why u think others won't pay the price but we will? Surely if the guy is as good as he made out to be 20 mill not that bad really compared to Fernandinho 35 m, Rodriguez 30 mil, cavani 55 mill etc . {Ed002's Note - You are picking examples of players how have or are potentially moving to the wealthier clubs like Manchjester City and Monaco - no all clubs can afford those prices. The other clubs interested in Mkhitaryan consider the fee being asked to be higher than they wish to pay.}

Agree0 Disagree0

It seems we will have to pay close to £30 million to get him, which I think is very unreasonable. I think it is best to walk away and identify another target as soon as possible.

The real AG

Agree0 Disagree0

Echo reporting agreement has been reached for Mkhitaryan plus Henderson up for sale and Wanyama the beast! coming in. Fantastic news if true. {Ed052's Note - It'd be terrible terrible news. I would be devastated if Henderson would leave}

Agree0 Disagree0

If only we could entice someone like Isco, we could afford him but he'll have bigger options

Henderson surely won't be allowed go. I would like to see Wanyama come in alright but not at the expense of Henderson

Agree0 Disagree0

Surely there's better value in the market, than the £20 odd million it would cost to bring him here? For example look at the Isco deal or even Thiago. Maybe we are not in a position to attract them, but still we should not be paying over the odds for unproven players.

Agree0 Disagree0

If we sign Wanyama for 20million then we are donkeys and are simply setting ourselves back again. Henderson has to stay, he was immense the 2nd half of last season.

Agree0 Disagree0

The Henderson being sold story is part of the Echo's "rumour mill" articles, which aren't, I think, from their staff - they are just rehashing of articles from the web.

Agree0 Disagree0

Surely if the HM fee is so high then the Eriksen deal looks more and more attractive?

It would save us a few extra million which might enable us to edge up our bid for Papadopoulous to an acceptable level for both parties to agree.

Its a very simplistic thought, I know, but I really rate the Greek lad and Ericksen isn't particularly shabby either!

Killingholme_Clay

Agree0 Disagree0

Henderson going nowhere

Agree0 Disagree0

Good shout he would be good for Liverpool decent player

I've searched and I can't find anything so I thought i'd post and ask:D in your opinion eds do you think dani pacheco will get any sort of chance in pre season because I personally love the player and could you tell me the reason for him not playing, can I recall that his attitude stinks or something? hoping he is given a chance because on his day he can play great football and score goals!

Jackoo {Ed001's Note - I expect him to leave.}

Believable17 Unbelievable17

Yeah, hope he stays as well. As far as I know he has a good attitude and wants to play for LFC

Agree0 Disagree0

I think the problem with pacheco is the fact that he's been given NUMEROUS chances under many different managers and he is, quite frankly, not good enough.

Agree0 Disagree0

Im sick to the back teeth of people bleating about pacheco, he clearly is not good enough. And he must be doing sumthing really wrong behind the scenes not to have impresses rafa, roy, kenny, brendan the worrying fact is brendan will give any young lad a go if he's good enough so that leads me to believe he isn't time to shut up about Dani and move one

Agree0 Disagree0

I may be being abit stupid here but I haven't seen him play in the first team for quite a while, he's been in the u21 and on loans alot, so what do you mean by he's wasted his opportunities? because imo he clearly has ability

Jackoo

Agree0 Disagree0

He hasn't been given the opprtunities IMO, I watch him and he does have a spark, for me he's not a forward though, he's an attacking mid

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jun 2013 11:08:54
The guy has had several chances to impress in pre seasons. Add in the inference that he is not that great a trainer and has issues with turning up on time. I feel the ship has sailed. As talented as he maybe if he isn't prepared to do the graft he is in an incredibly competitive slot in our side when you look at the options available. I think there are four players I would rather pick so it is ultimately time for him to move on.

Agree0 Disagree0

Did Norwich even try to sign him after his loan spell. He'll probably do ok in Spain but he would have made an impression by now if he's ever to be good enough for us

Agree0 Disagree0

I was told by a Norwich supporter that they couldn't afford him I think they wanted 3 mil or something at the time one of the eds might know the price

Agree0 Disagree0

Clearly not wuite good enough for the PL but I read a rumour somewhere that newly promoted Elche were interested in him.
He could come and lodge with me, only live half an hour from Elche. :-)

ED002 is Kurt Zouma an option for us or he will be staying where he is?

red87 {Ed002's Note - Arsenal looked at Zouma about a year or so ago and could look to him again. Manchester United looked in the summer and Manchester City recently. The Milan clubs and Juventus all see Zouma as a cheaper option to Benatia and both Manchester clubs remain very interested although Anzhi have put a very financially attractive offer to the club and player. Chelsea has an interest in Zouma but it is dependent on what becomes of other players. It is not clear if he will even leave St Et this summer as, like others, he will be concerned about either being shipped out on loan or sat on the bench. Liverpool should take a look.}

Believable10 Unbelievable4

His agent said recently that Zouma would be better off on the LFC bench than starting games for Saint-Etienne, so could be hinting to a move but I doubt it.

I think we should have a look at Kurt Zouma
