Hello Ed, Sporx are reporting our interest in Inan and they said we scouted him last year in CL etc. Obviously your Rey ahead of what the papers say and I remember you mentioned we had interest in but it started to fade. My question now is has the interest in Inan revived recently? {Ed002's Note - Not that I am aware.}

Hi eds are we still interested in Inan? {Ed002's Note - Not now as far as I am aware.}

Now that it seems Milan have given up on HONDA do you know of any recent interest in him? Also how much money roughly would the transfer be?
thanks {Ed002's Note - It is a matter of timing of the move - now and compensation or in January. It is scheduled to be discussed whilst everyone is in Monaco this week - as are plenty of other things.}

Thanks Ed02 and all you guys for giving up you time. If I am right in thinking Ed02 your a Chelsea supporter, are you personally happy with Willian? {Ed002's Note - In most cases I have no great opinion on players. Willian has arrived as an improvement to the squad at the expense of someone else. It'll be fine if he improves as it has been suggested he can.}

Agree0 Disagree0

As a chelski fan does a £30m plus signing get you excited or is it just another £30m signing? {Ed002's Note - I don't get excited about football.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Wait - why is everyone going to be in Monaco this week? I mustn't have gotten my invite. {Ed002's Note - I will be there.}

My question to Ed's why we are ignoring Viktor Fischer From Ajax, he is young, fast & has scored 11 goals in 29 games. He can play in various positions LW, Attacking Midfield, CF etc. Does he fit in Lfc system or price too high.

{Ed002's Note - Viktor Fischer is subject to interest from Milan, Manchester United, Manchester City, Roma and Werder Bremen. Ajax is negotiating a new contract with him and I would not expect a move in the summer.}

I don't think we will big for turan. Not because he's not a wolrd class player, not because of a lack of money, not because he doesn't want to come (which he may), not because Ian Ayre or any other member of the staff. We won't buy turan because of one reason, PACE turan for me has to play as a 10 due to lack of it, we want coutinho to play 10 because of a lack of pace, this is normal. Rodges wants pacey wingers & we need the pacey wingers for our style to create space in the midfield. There's no other reason we wouldn't buy him & I'd be shocked if we bought him. {Ed002's Note - Interestingly, Liverpool has enquired after a guideline price for Andre Ayew.}

Hey ed002 seeing that you watch quite a lot of French football, do you think that ayes is a good player?
Thanks {Ed002's Note - I really like to avoid giving an opinion on how good a particular player is, but Ayew is well thought of in France, and particularly by the hierarchy in Marseille.}

Agree2 Disagree0

The trouble is that players lose their pace as they get older or injured. Someone like Turan would be a good long-term signing, he could play well into his 30s.

Is this ayew the flying winger/striker ed? Cheers for the first reply {Ed002's Note - I am pretty sure he can't fly.}

Can I ask how long ago this was ed?
My friend watches a lot of French football, and he thinks highly of Ayew, but I've not seen too much of him myself {Ed002's Note - Thursday.}

Agree1 Disagree0

Ayew is not great in terms of his goals&assists.
Last season he managed 9 goals and 3 assists in 35 starts.
However maybe in a better team, with better players around him, he will improve these stats. But the BPL is much more challenging than Ligue 1, although, faster players are sometimes an exception to this.
I trust Brendan, and if he thinks Ayew is good enough, then I will support his decision! YNWA

Cheers {Ed002's Note - This was simply a general enquiry - I would not make too much of it at this time.}

Agree0 Disagree1

Hmm you say that but Aspas isn't exactly 'quick' he's no slouch but he's no Ayew either in terms of pace.

Just saying

Puzzled Red

Agree0 Disagree1

I agree about what you say about players losing pace if anything Turan will lose his pace way before Ayew, massively affecting his resale value ( something FSG are probably looking at ). Turan is 26 and Ayew is 23. Also Ayew is significantly quicker than Turan as well and less injury prone.

Agree0 Disagree0

I heard he's been on that popular energy with the slogan along those lines ed ;-) the point is aspas is plenty quicker than turan puzzled & he's quick but not electric whereas turan is neither

Agree0 Disagree0

Thanks for the reply Ed002, I have liked Ayew for a while now, probably got too excited when you mentioned an enquiry. :)

Agree0 Disagree0

Excuse my ignorance ed002 but is ayew any good? {Ed002's Note - I have no way of measuring that.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Ayew is a great player, highly thought of in France he has also been a regular in a decent Ghana side so work permit should not be an issue.

I beleive he would be a good additiond and would bring serious pace, he would however need to improve on his end product. I would see him breaking in as a starter before
too long .
My view far better suited to prem than Turan

{Ed002's Note - Ayew does not need a work permit at all.}

Agree0 Disagree0

I thought the exact same thing.

We have always favoured pacey wingers.

No offence to the lad but I hope we don't sign him. Too much money for an older ''version'' of Coutinho. Perhaps he might be slightly more accomplished in the No. 10 role, but I think Coutinho has more time to work with the backroom staff (well he does because of his age). And due to Arda's pace - he won't get played in the wide positions.

As we are in the market for a centre back. Have Liverpool shown any interest in Steaua Bucharest's Vlad Chiriches? 23 years old, 6ft. Could be a good long term buy. Maybe our next Sami?

Y.N.W.A. {Ed002's Note - No. Vlad Chiriches has been of interest to Spurs all summer with some interest also shown by Inter Milan. As I have explained Liverpool's interest in a CB rests elsewhere right now.}

A question for the eds. Will we be looking at Victor Moses if Willian moves to Chelsea? {Ed002's Note - There has been no interest shown by Liverpool at this time.}

Believable5 Unbelievable18

As decent as I think Moses is I think we should aim a tad higher than him.

Agree0 Disagree0

We've aimed higher three times this window and missed. Realistically, with just over a week left to secure a wide midfielder, I'd be happy with Moses for 8m. He's used to the league, has tremendous potential and could certainly change a game off the bench or push Aspas/Henderson for a starting role. We might not have expressed interest, but I wish we would. Be better than not adding anyone else, that's for sure.

Agree0 Disagree1

Let me get this straight youd pay 8 mil for Moses as an impact player from the bench and hopefully push Henderson who Moses is better than anyway and Aspas? Glad your not doing our transfers. You don't just buy players for the sake of it.

Hey Eds, wondering whether Romain Alessandrini could be seen as an alternative to Willian? I remember one Ed saying how there was interest from Marseille, just checking if there is any interest from Liverpool?
Cheers. {Ed002's Note - There is none at this time Jensen.}
