Hi all . im currently working on a building site with the father of leighton baines who is also a liverpool fan. he wears everton training clothes to work as he says he would rather get them dirty than his beloved liverpool ones.when asked if leighton would ever move to the reds he said he would walk there tomorrow.his father is a hod carrier and a fine fellow aswell. i have no reason to lie or make up rubbish just for your entertainment but this is 100% true. and he said leighton is exited about the speculation about a move to liverpool but doesn't think moyes would allow it but also says he won't be there next year that's moyes won't be there
comical mate. . they banned using "hods" almost 20 years or so, sadly it looks like your talking out of your arsene

Ed, could you rate the possibility of this materialising. {Ed001's Note - right now it is certainly possible but it is not by any means definite. Porto have been watched before January and again since, hence the rumours pre-January regarding him. So I wouldn't rule it out as a never going to happen, but it doesn't look the most likely signing right now.}

My dad is friends with Paul Merson, and Paul said he was at a charity event with a referee Atkinson can't think of his first name I think it's Martin?? Atkinson is good friends with the special one (Mourinho) and he is meant to of said that he would like to join Liverpool. I don't know if it's true, but I personally wouldn't like him, whilst it would be a great 2/ 3 years he's not one to stay for a long time is he.

KK is hoping to get upto 7 players in the summer.
There will be a clearout of deadwood in our squad, with the likes of Poulsen, Konchesky, Ngog, Jovanovic, Maxi, Degen, Soto, Insua and Degen heading for the door.
With Benzema, Adam, Young and Marveaux all but done, our targets are Baines, Enrique, M'Vila, Sissoko, Dzsudzsak and Cazorla.

Ed, just heard the worst bit of tranfer gossip ever according to my source liverpool are wieghing up a move for joey barton as contract talks have stalled and he would come at a reduced fee and he supplied carrol with good service but hes all wrong for liverpool a trouble-maker hope hes wrong about this one {Ed002's Note - A member (**e*****) suggested that this was going to happen in January.}

Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho has re-iterated his desire to return to the Premier League to tackle "unfinished business".
Mourinho left Chelsea in 2007 after a hugely successful spell at Stamford Bridge before winning the Serie A title and Champions League with Inter Milan last season. The Portuguese coach is contracted to Real for another three years - but maintains he is planning to return to England sooner rather than later.
"I miss England and my next job will be in England, " he told The Bun. "There is unfinished business. And I think England wants me back, no? It was the most enjoyable time of my career."

Just heard that Gerrard has declared he will stay one more season at Liverpool only if KK gets the job?? can anyone clarify this for me, I hope it is not true that he only will only stay one more season especially because of the big steps forward we seem to be making with players such as Suarez and Carrol thanks for any info and if KK does not get the contract does that mean he is leaving in the summer?

Spot on Ed002. We need a out and out defensive midfielder. Someone like Banega, Defour, Tiote who are more mobile than Adam. I really still don't see the need for Adam as i think that even Lucas would do a better job, sitting in front of the back 4 than Adam.

Hey ed is their any interest in steven defour? {Ed002's Note - There has been interest from Arsenal and Liverpool, but particularly from Manchester United. His agent said before Christmas that he would likely move to England this summer. I have always thought it would be Manchester United who would get the player, but I am not so sure now. Certainly he seems to be up for grabs.}

If they are random lists of players they may end up in the "Wish List" section. As for the stadium we only know that a study has been carried out to look at various options. Once a decision to proceed is taken detailed plans will be drawn up and Planning Permission sought from the local council. The plans and the application will be in the public domain. I suspect that the outcome will be to increase the capacity of Anfield to 60k with perhaps options for subsequent additional work. I doubt that a new stadium is on the cards right now.}

Absolutely gutted that that backstabbing, lying, oily management toady Comolli has been promoted to a place where he is clearly in charge of the team manager.
No-one who has worked with him has a good word to say about him, and several said he basically took the credit for getting in young players when it was others who did it.
The idea of having him between the manager and the Board is just repulsive. In effect, the classic structure is that the manager's line of authority is not directly to the Board, but only via the Director of Football. So Comolli is probably Kenny's boss, and in a much more clearly defined and formal way than before.
What a stupid, stupid decision. From the sound of it, the man is a cancer that will eat away at LFC from the inside, and ruin Kenny's relationship with the Board, manipulating the truth so that whatever happens, he looks good.
You see his type in big organisations sometiems- they have no morals except to look after number one and screw the rest of the organisation.
Its a really, really bad move and FSG have been tricked by this guy.
And what about his 'great success' in the january window?
Ajax got exactly the fee they were demanding, al Comolli did was p*ss them off with his prevaricating.
Charlie Adam could probably have been ours for 9 million, certainly Spurs were only stopped by running out of time on deadline day.
For the sake of him offering another couple of million, we lost a player who could have made the differrence in the Europa games, and could maybe have given us the edge against the likes of West Ham.
That £3 million that Comolli pissed around for could have cost us 4th place and the Europa league too.
January successes my ar*e- he paid the full asking price for Suarez, and he LOST us Charlie Adam for a few million.

in todays papers we have been linked with diego of wolfsberg for £10m, correct me if im wrong but aint wolfsberg intrested in jovanivic and skrtel? so if im right why don't we do a straight swap we get rid of 2 players and get a world class player in return, but if stories are true than i doubt kenny will want him if he is a bad person in the dressing room and party lifestyle.

If he could be bought for a reasonable amount, and if this is not an old recycled story, and if Liverpool are really interested in the player, and if a deal could be put together, and if Wolfsburg want to sell, and if the board agrees, . . then I think it could happen. Keep in mind also that all he said was in response to a loaded question during an interview:

I mean we paid out 17 million for this Italian maestro
He had an injury plagued first season and didn't look cut out for the premier league .
There were a few flashes of good player and if the whole point of loaning him out to Juve
Was to get some games and fitness .
We have done that I personally would like to see what we wasted out money on . {Ed002's Note - He was very unhappy at Liverpool and left on loan because of that - not because he needed to get fit. He will probably stay at Juventus permanently but his agent has been told to look elsewhere as well. The last thing Liverpool need is an unhappy player in the dressing room. Pay Roma what is owed and move on.}
