Barca never Offered 12 million for masherano , it was 18 million plus hleb, roy wants 25 million CASH, caceres was never offered in any deal whatsoever.

The agent of David Trezeguet has said that his client is considering a move to Anfield.
Reports in the Italian media claimed that Liverpool made an enquiry for the World Cup winning French international while negotiating Alberto Aquilani's move to Juventus.
Roy Hodgson is known to be looking into adding to his striking options with just Fernando Torres and David N'Gog available upfront. PSV's Ola Toivonen is also interesting the Kop boss.
Trezeguet's agent, Antonio Caliendo, says Liverpool, along with Spanish duo Real Zaragoza and Hercules, are chasing Trezeguet's signature.
"An interest of Liverpool? There are requests, not just of Liverpool, " Caliendo told calciomercato.it.

"Reports today claim that Javier Mascherano has agreed terms on a contract with Spanish champions Barcelona – but a fee has not been agreed with Liverpool.
Barcelona are said to have offered Alexander Hleb and Martin Cáceres along with £12m for the Argentine midfielder, but the Liverpool hierarchy are not happy to accept this offer.

Course Lpool in a strong position! Roy said he won't sell him cheap and Barca are trying to get him on the cheap, they sold Toure for £28 mil and have offered £12.5 mil, its a joke. Let him rot in the reserves for 2 years, if he has spat his dummy because lpool have rejected a silly offer.
Personally I think Roy has not picked him because Barca will increase thier offer and he'll be going this week. Probably for about £18 mil (still too low)

Just heard a rumor, that Diego of juventus, will be coming in on loan for the season, with a view to a £10 million permanent move, BUT however if aqua does well at juventus, they might want aqua in a swap deal.

If mascherano is refusing to play tonight then i would offer him to barcelona for 15 million and abidal or maxwell. .Also i am not sure if he is still at barcelona but i would ask for kerrisson on loan for the season and have a future fee involved so we can sign him next summer if he makes it in England. .with the 15 million left i would try and sign lassana diarra for about 10 million as he could replace mascherano and sign young striker Dentinho from the brazilian league. i think he plays for corinthians.What ya think ed??

Just cast your mind back 15 years to when ba was one of the leading companies in the world, respected by all for their honest and diligent service, the pride of the uk.

Liverpool have expressed an interest in Juventus striker David Trezeguet, according to the striker's agent.
Trezeguet, 32, has enjoyed a stellar 10-year stay in Turin and has helped himself to 138 goals in 245 Serie A appearances. With manager Roy Hodgson in the hunt for a new centre forward, the France World Cup 1998 winner has come across his radar.
Speaking to calciomercato.it, agent Antonio Caliendo declared Liverpool and two Spanish clubs were in the chase for his client's signature.
He said: "An interest of Liverpool? There are requests, not just of Liverpool.
"In Spain there is the interest of Real Zaragoza and Hercules.
"We are considering [offers], today is a day of reflection, we will know more tomorrow."

Seriously though OBVIOUSLY I presume people have read these recent developments with Trezeguet and If it's to be believed then i'm not so sure, isn't he like 32 or something? 3rd or 4th choice at Juventus?. . .Maybe on loan i guess, but I'm not sure i'd spend more than 3 million on that deal. . But i suppose if that is all we can afford then that's how it is!

ESPN have put out an interview with the sporting director of PSV, who said that LFC did call on Friday asking about their asking price, but he said Toivonen is not for sale in this transfer window.
So to get the player (unless that was said just to up the price) LFC would have to wave silly money at PSV, which they don't have.
So it looks like Roy is back to looking around for a striker again- and with just a week to go, expect to hear of formal bids being made very soon for players like Ruiz. And if we can afford to bid nigh on 13-15 million, will Roy use that to bid for Toivonen anyway?
Unless Kuyt is sold very quickly there will be no time to use that money either, or even to promise it out for a player. What with impending takeover news too, its going to be an interesting week ahead.

Think about it for a moment, if ronaldinho really was at melwood (not saying he was), why else would he be there when the season has started?!? Shouldn't he be training with AC milan!
If he really was there then odds are on he could be checkin out the training facilities before his transfer!

Although it sounds really likely to happen, this Toivonen deal perplexes me as he is now cup-tied in Europe, so we'd be buying someone who is unable to play in one of the realistic opportunities for silverware this season. My only rationale is that getting top 4 is more important than anything else. I just wonder if we chucked in El Zhar and possibly Insua on loan, it may sweeten the deal and reduce the money going out.
If Kuyt goes, I honestly wouldn't sign a replacement, we have Amoo waiting in the wings, (pardon the pun), to challenge for a first team spot.

Right i have never posted anything before.
but i have been reading the rumours everyday for the past two weeks.
i mean to me it seems like we will get ashley young this final transfer week along with ola but i have been reading some of the posts bout ronaldiniho and theres no doubt he would be a good signing even if he doesn't have the pace but has anyone seen this guys touch for the football, i reckon he could really bring liverpool on because everyone respects him. ashley young would be an amazing signing i have always wanted him at liverpool cause we have really got to get a pacy and threatining winger. ola would be good because torres needs someone to link up with i mean i know us liverpudlians would much rather have kin aguero but due to funds he'll stay put. i hope kuyt goes because he is an absolute workhorse we all know but we need a flare in our team and if that means sacrificing kuyt then so be it. masch will go to barca i think , he is happy at lfc but just doesn't like england can't really blame him so good luck monster.
lets all get behind the red men today and get a win under our belt and a bit of confidence.

Inter Milan has not given up in signing kuyt and have tabled 15m bid. I think this is a very good offer and if the bid is accepted Roy will try to sign Bryan ruiz from Fc twente for simlar money. Ruiz had his heart put on a departure for the Spanish club , but the transfer was dependent on the sale of Luis Fabiano . Because a transfer of Brazilian striker for Olympique Marseille wholly failed and there are also no other wealthy buyer has reported , it seems unlikely that Ruiz his desired transfer to FC Sevilla still gets . The Costa Rican has a clear preference for a move to Spain , though he has earlier this transfer period is also positive about Liverpool .

Roy is looking to get rid of players who are essentially a waste of a place. Charles Itandje, Damien Plessis and NabilEl Zhar fall into this category.

Aqua might not come back from what i hear.
Liverpool interest was actually for adam johnson . . was turned down.
Kuyt is deciding on personal terms. In fact maybe the whole toivonen interest was for this reason.

if Barca held out for £28m for Yaya Toure, then why on earth do they think £18m is enough for Masch.?
Masch is younger, quicker, fitter and times a tackle better than Toure and as Argentine captain must surely be worth at least what Toure is. .
Rafa didn't let Alonso go until the £30m was met, and he too went on record saying he wanted away, so why should Masch go for less?
Click believable if you think Masch worth at least what Yaya Toure. .

In my mind why would you speak in such a way, even as far as to say being given "£50M" to spend if you was just talking in general terms in an interview if you quite clearly knew it wasnt gonna happen and you only had say 5-10mil left this window? If Roy was aware that he was on extremely tight budget he wouldn't even mention buying big again even in jest!
I believe his comments have given away a little more than meets the eye, i believe something may possibly be about to happen on the takeover front!
Just my thoughts??

Mascherano will not be leaving this summer. To me, this is quite bad news, as he has this year left before he can leave for nothing. So Roy has made a huge mistake here and will probably end up leaving for around £10m in January.
Inter Milan boss Rafa Benitez has told Massimo Moratti that he wants Dirk Kuyt, despite what Moratti has said to Roy, and as we know Rafa will do his nut to get his man and according to SSN Inter are teeing up a £15m bid, which I'd take. He's 30 and not technically great, just a great work ethic.
A £9m bid has been tabled for Swedish sensation Ola Toivonen. The goal machine has grabbed the eye of Roy and Chief scout Edouard Macia and a £5m fee has been offered up front with £4m in add-ons.
Should Kuyt be sold a new RM will be brought in to replace him, and a new CM to replace Masch in January. Also, if the finding can be found, a new LB will be sought after.
LB sees Carlos Salcido available for around £3m. It would instantly give Toivonen someone he knows and vice-versa.
RM would see an Englishman probably sought, possible Ashley Young, although funding will be hard to find. He looked very unhappy yesterday against Newcastle, constantly shouting at his team-mates and didn't seem comfortable, even at 0-0. Although around £21m will be hard to come up with at a cash-strapped club.
Mascherano's replacement will likely be Lassana Diarra. The frenchman is available for £8m and is a solid, tough tackling CM.

Serioury guys, its going beyond a joke. I read a earlier post that stated that some1 had heard on talk sport that ronaldhino was coming to melwood for a medical and then his next sentence was to trust him because he was in the know? In the know because talk sport had heard something? Guys we've dropped prob about £25000 a week off the wage bill in aqua going to juve, why would we bring in ron (who would be looking for a final payday) on prob £70000-£80000 a week? It wasn't that long ago the club was running on the strength of losing over £110000 a week! No news on a new owner so were's the money gonna come from every week for him? That many shirts sold every week? I don't think so, not even the mighty number 7! Just don't see it myself. Any return is welcome.

Liverpool Reject €20 Million Javier Mascherano Bid From Barcelona But Reds willing to let Masch go for €26 million.
Barcelona have reportedly tabled a bid of around €20 million for wantaway Liverpool midfielder Javier Mascherano but it has been rejected by the Merseysiders according to radio station RAC1.
Over the weekend Reds coach Roy Hodgson intimated that he was informed by Massimo Moratti that there would be no approach from Inter for the Argentina captain but it appears that the Catalan outfit are still in the race to prise the 26-year-old away from Anfield.
The offer tabled by the Blaugrana is believed to be an initial €15 million payment with a further €5 million in variables but Liverpool are understood to have placed a value of €26 million on Mascherano. Hodgson has already gone on record as stating that the defensive midfielder is aware that he will not be leaving the club if an appropriate fee is not received.
Despite Hodgson already declaring that 'Masch' would feature against fellow title hopefuls Manchester City on Monday night, AS has claimed that he will not play at Eastlands as talks between the clubs continue.
