I think Sebastian Rode would be a good buy for us at DM. He said he isn't renewing his contract which has one year left after this season I think. Are any clubs interested in him?

GuvTOB {Ed002's Note - Sebastian Rode has attracted interest from Arsenal, Bayer Leverkusen and Bayern Munich, but I suspect the interest from Bayern will have waned.}

I could be wrong here Ed but have Eintracht not agreed to sell him to Bayern? Thanks for any reply. {Ed002's Note - Not quite.}

23 Apr 2013 22:18:27
ED002 have PSG really agreed to sign Cavani? {Ed002's Note - No.}

Hi Eds,

What do you think of Ryad Boudebouz? Could we see him moving to Liverpool in the summer?

Thanks

Marc {Ed002's Note - Ryad Boudebouz was expected to leave Sochaux last summer with Real Betis and Lyon showing an interest and Liverpool asking to be kept informed of anything that happens. However, all of this predates Rodgers and there appears to be no interest aside from Lille and Marseille right now.}

Hey Eds, Does Raul Albiol get regular football at Madrid? If not, do you think he could be tempted by guaranteed 1st team action? {Ed002's Note - He missed a chunk of this season due to injury. He won't be moving to Liverpool this sumemr.}

Hi there just like to confirm that Leroy Fer is on his way to anfield in the summer for a fee of £4m and also Eriksen will be on his way in for £14m

Hi Ian.

Great to see you visiting this site to keep the fans updated.

Hope you can re-schedule your trip to Australia.

Keep us posted MD!

Steve.

Eriksen deal is off sadly my friend!

I think signing Luis was our last "World Clas" signing for quite some time. The likes of Eriksen won't look at us, especially when Luis will be missing for a chunk of next season, if not sold. The only way we get back where we belong is to hope the Academy will provide us with three or four top players.

Hi eds is it true Liverpool are interested in the Armenian from Shakhtar the one with the long name? {Ed002's Note - Shakhtar's Mkhitaryan is of interest to Lazio and interest possibly remains from Juventus, but the player is looking for a move to Spain with Barcelona or somewhere in England, preferably London, so he can get the very high wages he says he is due. Seems a bit of a flake to be honest. Shakhtar are looking for about €25M which seems high to me.}

Bit of a flake, that's good enough for me to say no to the dude!

Have been reliably informed that the club will listen to offers for the following players. Reina, skrtel, coates, downing, assaidi, shelvey and luis suarez.

Have been reliably informed that fans from other clubs will be posting 'Suarez will be sold' stories on this site.

23 Apr 2013 15:51:26
Liverpool will accept any bid of around £45m for luis suarez. Officially the player is not for sale, but privately the board and the manager have had enough, and are willing to cash in at the earliest opportunity.

How much will it cost to replace 30 + goals in the team? Now ask your self if selling him is worth it?

Sell his actions d are a embarrassment we always seem to find goal machines

Real Madrid ready to swoop for Luis Suarez with 38mil plus Xabi Alonso, or alternatively 28mil plus Higuain. They hope to pair him with Cristiano Ronaldo in a hope to bring an end to Barcelonas strangle hold on future La Liga and champions league titles.
Agent Smith

Sorry but higuain would not come, Alonso is too old. So straight cash or nothing.

23 Apr 2013 16:14:34
Suarez is Staying and Madrid don't know who there manager will be

23 Apr 2013 16:54:01
Nice 1. I've been waiting for this day to come to hear Higuain's name being mentioned. Awesome player. Be nice if true.

Higuain would be nice but I really can't see it happening. I would settle for Varane and either Benzema or Ozil but that's another pipe-dream.

Make it 10 mil + alonso and higuain than we ha a deal!

I'd rather take the £28m plus Higuain

It would be like buying Higuain who would cost £28m - £30m for only £22m and selling Suarez for £50m

Any chance of ogbonna ed?
thanks, {Ed002's Note - Since last spring, Juventus, PSG, Roma, AC Milan and Manchester United have all made enquiries with Torino regarding the sale of Ogbonna who at one time interested Arsenal and Lyn Oslo. The summer might be a likely time to move with Napoli and Wolfsburg actively seeking talks about the player.}

Hi Eds

Is it true that Jonjo Shelvey and Henderson will be offloaded in the summer. If yes how much would the sale fetch us?

PKMLFC {Ed001's Note - nothing is decided yet, but Shelvey does look to be going, as he wants first team football. Henderson seems to have won his place though, from what I have been told.}

Cracking news on the Hendo front, hope he keeps up his intensity though.

I really think shelvey could make it at anfield. Just ashame he didn't take his chance vs chelsea with his confidence being low

Is he looking for a perminate move or a a possible loan? {Ed001's Note - he just wants to play, nothing is decided yet, it will be a case of him sitting down and discussing his future with the club over the summer. As things stand, I would expect him to leave permanently, though he isn't seen as surplus, as such. It is similar to the Ince situation, he is not going to be first choice, so he might decide it is time to move on, but we are not pushing him out of the door. I think that is the best way to explain it, I hope that makes sense anyway.}

23 Apr 2013 21:19:50
Thank God for that - Shelvey is dreadful. He should take a few of his overpaid average players with him! there's a reason we're 7th in the league and looking downwards! ;- (

5uarezTimes

Henderson is being paraded so that the club will be able to offload the player while having justification for the asking price. However he will not be sold unless the price is right and may go on loan. Shelvey on the other hand has been a primary interest of a few prem outfits, has one serious money interest from abroad (Turkey) and tons of championship clubs all lined up to grab him, especially promotion bound Cardiff city.
-=Solar=-

I still think shelvey has the potential to be a top class midfielder. Liverpool should try to accomodate him

Hi eds, reading through all the comments about possible transfers, just interested to know what your thoughts are the coming summer. We know that this summer is going to be one of the biggest and most important we have had for quite a while. The FairPlay ruling coming in and the situation the club is in at the moment. Wo do you reckon is going to leave and what kind of profit could be obtained from that, and who are we after or who is likely. A big summer signing? Is eriksen still on B. R radar or is he just going to snub us. Just curious how you see us looking next season.
Well done on the site. Great work that you can respond to so many questions.
Scottylfc {Ed001's Note - it is very difficult to be sure who is leaving now, Henderson has cemented his place, it would take a large bid to prize him away. Downing has put up a fight, but his place is not assured still, a replacement/cover player is still being sought, so he might make way. Personally I think his attitude on the training pitch will probably give him another year though. Obviously Carra is likely to leave, Pacheco and probably Ngoo and Wilson too, though Ngoo has the chance to prove himself still. It won't be much in the way of incoming dosh though, unless we get lucky on the sale of Carroll, if we can sell him. I am not sure we will get a big signing as such, it is difficult to be sure on those until a deal is done, as City have found out with both Berbatov and RVP in recent years. We are interested in Eriksen, we aren't his first choice, but that doesn't mean we couldn't persuade him it is a good move. It will depend a lot on who else steps in, and what they have to offer. Our main focus is centre back though, even if Carra is persuaded to postpone his retirement.}

If lucas is still our 1st choice mid next season we are ****ed

I understand that for the right price Jackson Martinez could be available in the summer. I really like what I have seen from this guy and think would offer something different for LFC attacking line. Eds what do you think the chances are of Liverpool taking a look? {Ed001's Note - we have been watching Porto (also keeping a close eye on their youth system too), hence the initial rumours. I have no idea at all who we are watching though, at senior level. At youth level, it is simply keeping an eye on their young players to see who is developing etc, rather than a specific target.}

Could the Porto Senior player be
James Rodriguez? we are supposed to looking for a #10 aren't we?

Hi Ed, a certain Spanish journalist has suggested Lewandowski is on his way to Bayern as well as Gotze. Just wondering if you think this is true, and if it is, would it have any bearing on Bayern going after Suarez? Thanks

DP {Ed001's Note - there is certainly a possibility, they are interested, though I would be very surprised if Dortmund didn't manage to find a different taker for him, such as United. Suarez is seen in a different role than him, so it wouldn't affect that, sorry. Not that I am convinced Suarez will go this summer, I just don't see anyone offering the money we would want to let him go.}

23 Apr 2013 13:13:41
Have Dortmund ever shown interest in Eriksen eds?
can see them swooping for him now Gotze is off to Bayern similar players. hope not cus i'd love him at the pool

Alves {Ed001's Note - not that I am aware of.}

They'll more likely sign Draxler to fill the gap left by Gotze. Draxler is a much better player.

Not really dortmunds style to hand over that kind of sum. They signed Reus, which honestly surprised me. The seem to be more into buying these guys a while before anybody else knows they exist.

23 Apr 2013 13:09:05
Eds as gotze to bayern is likely to happen so can eriksen move to us be affected?
Thank you {Ed001's Note - sorry, I don't understand what Goetze joining Bayern has to do with that not happening at all?}

I believe he may be referring to reported interest from bayern, and whether or not Dortmund may see him as a viable replacement for gotze {Ed002's Note - I have explained the situation with Eriksen on many occasions. Even if Dortmund become interested in him it will have no impact on Liverpool's interest and chances of signing him.}

The poster is meaning that Borussia Dortmund might come in for Eriksen

23 Apr 2013 12:50:27
We are definitely seeking to add some size and strength to the team in the summer and can confirm we have been scouting wanyama of Celtic. No final reports as of yet as their are concerns over his age being verified. Ravenrudeboy

Silly season starting early folks

24 Apr 2013 14:24:07
I think if you look back at any of my posts Sam none turn out to be silly. Ravenrudeboy

23 Apr 2013 11:15:03
Anychance of Pepe the Real Mardid centre back? just thinking with the emergance of Varane and quality of Ramos a first team place must be hard to come by there. ? be class him and Agger at the back

Alves

Mate we have enough problems with Suarez at the moment without signing another world renowned head case.

SMc

23 Apr 2013 12:12:02
Hell yeah! We could line up with Reina, Johnson, Pepe, Carragher, Enrique, Barton, Cattermole, Coutinho, Suarez, Sturridge, Balotelli.

I'd sign Barton and Cattermole to add mroe steel to the midfield. Then get in Pepe and Balotelli as they are world class talents. Just have to convince Carragher and Suarez to stay on, then between the six of them, we'll have a suspension every week!

YNWA! (Adam)

I agree

Yeah, Pepe and Suarez on the same team- What could go wrong?

Hi eds, a couple of questions about Marco Rojas. Can you see him coming to Liverpool, if so, how much would he cost? Do you think he would be loaned out for one or two seasons before making the jump into the first team? {Ed001's Note - no idea sorry, I don't know anything about the lad or the A League in general these days.}

He had a two week trial, as confirmed by his club the Newcastle Jets on twitter and their is talk he already signed.

Haha firs tof all his club is not Newcastle jets but the Melbourne Victory. word in NZ is that he was hooked up a trial with stutgart or werder bremen. A spot fixed for him by Kiwi liegend Wynon Rufer.

In any case, he should come back to the A-league to prove his consistency. His form really dipped towards the end of the season as evidenced by MVC's lethargic end to the year. He's not ready at any stretch of the imagination to step into any european league

Post above is wrong. He plays for Melbourne Victory and as far as I know the only A League player on trial is Danny Vukovic at Fulham.

I thought he was at Melbourne?

Hi he is out of contract so free apart from a training fee which I think is 180 thousand aussie dollars so cheap as chips kiwired

23 Apr 2013 09:26:49
Hi Eds,

Apparent interest in Will Hughes from Derby, seems a better option than Eriksen

Seems more realistic but why better?

Cheaper maybe but better certainly not.

SMc

He is also Liverpool fans look at him's twitter

I think he meant potentially better. I am being. honest, but let's go for Vischer of Ajax than Eriksen.

That's a terrible option compared to eriksen?

Clearly said better 'option'. Not better 'player'.
I'm inclined to agree. The lad has a wonderful future ahead of him.
Much much cheaper, very young and honestly, every chance of being just as good with the right amount of nurturing.

23 Apr 2013 09:16:28
Ed I heard we looked at Finnbogason and may go back, any truth? could be total rubish though {Ed001's Note - his agent is currently doing a good job of linking anyone and everyone with him (or somebody representing him if not his agent), especially in England. As far as I can find out, Reading and (if I remember correctly) Norwich are the only teams that have had a look at him from the English league. Hard to be sure, like I said someone is creating lots of false links, difficult to be sure which ones are true.}

Ok cheers ed he's had an excellent season so far probably the reason for the false links.

23 Apr 2013 07:48:12
Eds have bayern signed gotze fir 30 mil
If soo is suarez unlikely for them now?

Basy {Ed002's Note - They have agreed to match his release clause.}

They have agreed to match Suarez release? {Ed001's Note - no Goetze.}

23 Apr 2013 10:33:38
Is it unlikely then suarez will sign for them? {Ed001's Note - I don't see the relevance in the situation at all.}

Bayern want Suarez and Suarez's agent has confirmed this. FSG want rid of Suarez and a bid of £20-30 million might be enough

£20-£20 million? What about his other leg?!

Try doubling that Fee, to start negotiations is £40M but he will fetch around £50M - £60M, no matter what he does nobody can argue with the fact that he is one of the best footballers in the world.

23 Apr 2013 12:49:17
20--30 mil are u daft
He can't go for anythin less than 40 mil

Basy

His front teeth are worth 10m alone.

Brad

What a bargain though for bayern I thought goetze release clause was like 50+mil. Heartbreaking though for bvb fans I've loved watching their team the past couple of years but I'm excited to see if pep can turn bayern into a true powerhouse like triples or at least doubles every year. Plus alaba is my favorite young player to watch and bayern just became my #2 team this year hope to see them stomp on barca!

More like 40 -50 million

£20-30 million? are you mad? that is what he cost us, at least £40m i'd say, but I think he will stay at least 1 more season

Ed002 will shaqiri be available this summer? {Ed002's Note - He is not one of the players expected to leave BM.}

Guys all you thinking Suarez value is £50m+ are really living a dream. Don't get me wrong, ability alone he is worth that and more, but what club would invest so heavily for a player that costs a club a lot in PR image, reputation, sponsors concerns ect and has shown a tenancy to get at least a 7 game ban each season for 3 on the trot (missing approx 1 game in every 5 due to discipline records. )

Take your heart out of the argument and use your head, Cavanni and Falcao is rumored at 50m euro's (£40ish), as a buying club would you go for Suarez, or one of these?

If we can get £38m+ I'd be amazed and bite their arm off.
