Ed, what would you think of Christopher Samba for CB- fairly young, big physical presence and under rated on the ground. Would also like to see Enrique for LB. Two quick wingers- young/ a johnson/ lennon 2 out of the three- think mata/ hazzard will be tougher to sign. worried our main problem in the summer will be shifting the dead-wood though. Dont think too many clubs will be queing up for Poulsen, Insua, Ngog, Aqua, Cole, Jovanovic, El Zhar etc

Chris Belfast red {Ed002's Note - I don't know of any interest in Samba.}

I hear we have signed the most promising Irish teenager
called Hanlon-anyone know how good this midfielder is cos apparently Man Utd and Chelsea were also sniffing around but Kenny met him and his family and got him for us.
Also I am reading Jonathon Soriano who has been banging them in for the Barca B side may be available for less than 5m. I think with his record and his eye for goal he is definitely worth a punt

suarez is being chased by real madrid and barcelona.he said in his ajax days he would like to play for a team like barcelona.sadly i doubt he will be with us much longer:(
------------
In the unlikely event that this would happen I'm sure Liverpool would demand a fee close to the Torres deal.
Ed do you think that we will now be interested in piatti now that amnesia have gone down? I know valencia are interested but we are still a better option for him, the only thing they have on us is champions league but they never actually compete for it!
Cheers

In Spain, Deportivo and Almeria got relegated maybe we should go for cut price deals for
Andr s Guardado great left sided player can play wb to w and fight for first team place with other summer signings
Pablo Piatti good attacking midfielder, upgrade on current crop

In Italy, Sampdoria is going to get relegated so maybe Andrea Poli a creative DM, 21 years old
Jonathan Ludovic Biabiany good pace, could be a good squad player, 24

Just thought I would ask an earlier question of mine to a different Ed. Hope you don't mind

Evening Ed I have mentioned before that I have a sports tipster friend who has told me that Liverpool are definitely looking to buy Lukaku. However today he has told me that there is a very strong rumour that, although Lukaku is still a target, KK and Commoli are massively keen on Park Chu Young. Do you know anything of this Ed?

Chris in Tamworth {Ed007's Note - Sorry Chris, I don't know anything about it. Anyone else help out??}

{Ed002's Note - I have dropped enough hints on Park Chu-Young over recent months. I am not really sure what question you are asking. Certainly Lukaku is being hawked about but the price is making folks choke - agaisn something I have explained.}

21 May 2011 22:41:32
Ed. Do you know why Liverpool aren't taken a serious interest in Fabio Coentrao?

He is one of the best Left Back's in the world and he also said that he would love to play for Liverpool.

Meireles is also good friends with him.

do you otherwise know which left back Liverpool are looking at the moment?

{Ed002's Note - Interest in Coentrao has been shown by Manchester United, Real Madrid, Manchester City, Chelsea, Bayern Munich, AC Milan (Waning). Benfica have been in discussions with Real Madrid for a couple of weeks. Liverpool are not in the loop at all. Barcelona may be just beginning to get interested. Real are favourites for me at this time. Liverpool seem to have Enrique as a targget. Vargas is also being looked at for the left hand side.}

21 May 2011 21:54:40
Ed, did we send a scout to the PSG VS LOSC game? and how strong is the interest in Sakho? {Ed002's Note - I don't know if anyone was at the game. There is interest in Sakho.}

21 May 2011 21:38:41
Apparently because Mancini is staying and looking to sign Sanchez, Adam Johnson wants to leave with spurs and liverpool interested.
ED ypu heard anything like this? or think it could happen? and who would be favourites for him to go to???
CT10 {Ed007's Note - LFC are meant to be very interested in Adam Johnson, as for Sanchez, he has said he wanted to go to Utd, but we all know money talks}

Wev'e finally got our man, Liverpool have opened negotiations with the representatives of Gabriel Heinze who is on a free from Marseille.Liverpool have moved quickly after Jose Henrique made it quite clear that his preffered destination was Man Utd due to the lure of champions league football.Although Heinze is now 33 years of age , he could prove to be an important aqisition as he can also be used as a centre back.

I heard about him about a month ago when there was a lot of talk about us signing an asian player, there was also talk of Honda or Nagatomo but these havent been mentioned anywhere apart from here since and the Liverpool fans in Asia seem set on us signing Chu Young. .so maybe. .

21 May 2011 20:42:29
Hi Ed(s),

Instead of the, let s face it, boring and antiquated system of 1-10 for the likelihood of each signing, could you please rate the likelihood of the following signings by listing each alongside a unique animal, the larger the animal the more likely the signing. For example:

Ronaldo (CR7) = Kitty Hog Nosed Bat
Kak = Etruscan Shrew
Ashley Young = Cheetah

And so on. If you want to be really clever you can rate each player the same but try and pick an animal (keeping the size in mind) that is similar to the player, like I did with Young as he is quite likely (or quite possible) but also fast like his feline counterpart; just to keep it interesting. As well as keeping it a bit more interesting we might more naturalists to this site, as let s face it, it is clearly lacking them and I bet Sir David Attenborough has never visited the site, and if he did he would have buggered off if he noticed the tired and boring 1-10 system.

Enrique (a rumour now) is not likely to be going to United. Sir Alex has a lot of faith in Raffayellow s lookalike Fabbyellow and in front of him is Evra, why would he need him?

Keep up the sterling work.

Michael Bland
{Ed007's Note - Can't really see that happening mate}

News from a Newcastle fan. Werder Bremen Winger Marko Marin will be joining Liverpool this summer. I apologise if that is old news. Also looks like Enrique is off, but no idea where he will end up - I hope it's not to you! :)

Well i still feel jovetic would be a great bargain buy because his been injured like for a long time cause that 1 horror injury he had but his almost back just not match fit so could get him on the cheap i believe if he did not get injured for long alot of top teams would of been after him and he was rated about 2 to 3 years as 1 of the best young up and comming players.

His stil only 21 and he is talented and gifted think he was 19 when he ripped liverpool apart and that was the start of our 2 horror seasons he can play out wide or as 2nd striker and didn't rafa tried to get him if am not mistaken ed?

im sure spurs have first option on taarabt, i think they sold him for 2m last year, can't really see them paying the 9m reported fee QPR would want tho. i seem to remember harry redknapp doing an interveiw a while back saying he was the most naturally talented player he had ever come across, but had no idea what to do with him.
he reminds me of a young ronaldo, very inconsistant, frustrating at times but look how whiskey nose nurtured him. i think taarabt could be a world beater in time, and under king kenny, who has shown he can bring out the best in the younger players, i reckon it would be a great buy. he will light up the prem next season, not in every game. . but believe me he will be worth 20+ m next summer.
what are your thoughts on taarabt ed, is he worth a gamble this summer? ive seem him do some amazing things in games this season, i no he has gone missing in games too, but tell me a player who hasnt.

matt 27 {Ed002's Note - Dortmund and Napoli are interested. If he does moved I suspect he will head toward the Med.}

Glen Johnson will leave LFC. No replacement. Martin Kelly is known to be the successor at RB. He will join Tottenham for 8.5 million.

T-Dog

Not true because Glen Johnson will be signing a new contract along with meireles within the next few weeks.

It is an open secret in Planet Football that not only are the Merseysiders after a new left back this summer, but that the Reds are also desperate for that problem position to be filled at Anfield next season by the Magpies Spain international Enrique.
New full-time Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish had thought that a £12 million deal to sign the full back was done ad dusted, that is until his counterpart from Old Trafford entered the scene offering the defender the promise of Champions League football next season.
And, with Enrique said to be keen to play in Europe s premier club competition so as to be able to enhance his international claims with La Furia Roja, it appears as though the player will now be wearing the red of United as opposed to Liverpool next season.

Have heard rumblings of a move for Gio dos Santos from Spurs.
The Mexican international was one of the players brought to WHL by Comelli from Barcalona. The young player has been overlooked by Redknap. Comelli still rates the youngster following an impressive showing at the World Cup. With Liverpool looking for wide players Comelli sees him, at the very least, a good squad player. With the potential, under the guidance of Daglish, of becomming an important member of the first team. It is believed that the out of favour Mexican would be available at a cheap price allowing funds to be used to bring higher calibre players. What do you think Ed? _MassiveGerrardManLove_

{Ed002's Note - Dos Santos has not be overlooked. He is out on loan in Santander. I have not heard of any interest from Liverpool.}

These could help the team become better and stable the ship for a long time as they are all under the age of 25.
Hazard, £25 million
Vertonghan £15 million
Mata £23 million
Falcao £18 million
Aaron Ramsey cheeky bid of £14 million
play Robinson at left back with johnson covering or the other way round
and Kelly playing at right back and flanagan covering
Bring through the young blood and get a great blend of youth and experience in the team and copy the likes of Barcelona and i hate to say it man utd
and this way i think we can rule the Prem and Europe for many years to come. what your view ed?
RED-JUDO {Ed002's Note - Aside from Vertonghen (who I expect to go to Manchester City or Arsenal) and just perhaps Mata, I don't see any of the others happening.}

21 May 2011 18:56:13
Our summer arrivals are hopefully looking like.

S. Aguero.
J. Vertonghan.
E. Hazard.
J. Mata.
S. Marvueax (free).

With a left back also arriving, don't get me wrong would love these but I was hoping we nabbed Sergio Canales and Steven Defour. Would any deal for Canales or Defour be dead due to them signing an extension or cos Real won't let the leave Ed? {Ed002's Note - Defour is out of the picture. Canales may go out on loan but (a) I doubt it would be to England; and (b) Real Madrid would want hime to be playing week in week out.}

E.D. wat are the realistic chances of signing Scott Dann and Eden Hazard??

i know we seem interested in both of them but do you think they are likely signings??

really hopeful for Juan Mata too but i'd rather not raise my hopes up just to get them knocked back down

Looking forward to your reply

LFC'S MANGO {Ed002's Note - A good chance of Dann7/10. Hazard only 1/10.}

Plays for Monaco, only seen a bit of him but scores lotsa goals. Oh yes, and Ed part deux rates him highly. Never seen Lukaku in the Belgium league, so not sure on him but doubt we will spend so much for a teenager for a weak league. Jova scored bags of goals there. .

******************
LFC fans love their young lads so understandable. Have you seen him play a bit Omar? Everytime I have seen him he looks avg, nothing special and at times unsure and labours a little. Wilson has not convinced me either yet.

Wisdom for me has bags more potential. He seems assured and confident just like Flano, Robinson & Kelly.

Hi ed with the interest with Dann and Vertonghen who do you think would better for us I know Dann is a solid defender and from what Ive seen from Vertonghen albeit very little he is a Agger type player comfortable on the ball. BTW great site very addictive lol. {Ed002's Note - Dann or Sakho would be my suggestion.}

ed you said there were descussions about deigo yestarday so do you know if he is a possible signing now or does he have 2 much baggage can you rate out of 10 the chance of getting him cheeres mate {Ed002's Note - 4 - it is hard to see why Liverpool should take a risk on a player who was thrown out of Juventus after a year (Juve taking a £10M loss on the transfer) and who has since walked out on Wolfsburg three times this year? I appreciate the situation at Wolfsburg is dire under Magath and the new regime. But as I said, Napoli and Liverpool are interested.}

Afternoon eds, just wondering what you think of Kevin Gameiro? He seems to have a good goal scoring record in an average team, and very rarely misses games for Lorient. Do you know if Liverpool are interested, as a Gameiro/Suarez/Carroll strike force would combine a wide range of attributes that would cause many teams problems.

Cheers,

NorthEastRed {Ed002's Note - Spurs, Newcastle, Aston Villa and Sunderland have shown an interest but Villareal and Vallencia have the edge.}

I have never posted anything before as the only rumours I have ever heard have been from the net, but yesterday I heard some things that I would like to share.

I was at work (I work in the bar at Formby Golf Club, which is frequented by numerous ex-Reds). One such ex-player was in having lunch with another guy in the bar area. As far as I know or have heard, this guy is not one of Kennys close buddies (eg Hansen, Thompson et al). Im not going to mention the guys name, as I could get into bother at work or could have an awkward time next time he's in).

As I cleared their table I plucked up the courage to speak to him, telling him how pleased I was that Kenny would be staying (the guy played under Kenny in the 80's), and that I thought Suarez had been a great signing. I added that I doubted Young or Enrique would be as good. He laughed at my pessimism, and said "Dont worry lad, I'm sure there'll be a couple of others coming aswell". I sensed he had had heard something, so I asked who else he thought we could be after. He said "oh. I don't know for sure, but I did hear a we've got couple of lads from over in Holland lined up.". After said this, the other guy at the table (I didn't recognise him) cut in, and asked for the bill. I got the feeling the guy was saving his mate from giving too much away.

No names were mentioned about the 2 players from Holland, and I don't even know wether he meant Dutch players or ones that play in the Eredivisie.

I've seen a fair few names on this site that fit the bill. But looking at the positions we're looking to strengthen, if I had to guess who they could be i'd say maybe Balazs Dzudzack and Jan Vertonghen?

Anyone got any other suggestions?

Ed do we have any firm interest in Vertonghan of Ajax? I'm hearing rumours but wanted to know if there was anything concrete on this.

Personally I'd take him he seems a good prospect and still young.

If we signed
Aguero.

ED, Not sure how likely deals like this are, but would clubs that are facing relegation be open to deals involving cash plus player on loan? I ask because it would be a good way to drive down the price of players and let younger players gain experience i.e if wolves go down Jarvis comes for £3million + Wisdom on loan for example and maybe deals similar to this one could happen for McCarthy of Wigan? Or am I just dreaming a little here ED?

Thanks
Glov3z the Red {Ed002's Note - Deals can be sweetended by players going on loan. I am not so sure that you will be able to pick up too many bargains though.}

Liverpool are readying moves for:

Juan Mata (23mil) Consistent, quick, inteligent, good finisher, good playmaker, good cross. A jack of all trades. a master of none? Possibly. He is perfect for Liverpool's pass and move such is his tactical awareness and his seemingly inability to give the ball away. He is a similar kind of player to Maxi, but if Maxi was a 6/10 ar everything, Mata is a 8/10.

Eden Hazard (21mil) As direct as Cristiano Ronaldo, witht the silky feet of Iniesta. Has the potential to be anything he wants.

Jose Enrique (10mil) Solid, and on the whole reliable. Doesnt have a major injury record. Relatively quick, good cross and good technical skills. Being 6ft for a fullback is quite tall, and this well help when defending from set-pieces

Jan Vertonghen (13mil) Our left footed "playmaking defender" has made only 93 appearences in 5 and a half years so cashing in on a 10mil rated Daniel Agger would be the most sensible thing. Vertonghen, is stronger, quicker and just as good with the ball at the feet. As well as this however, he is a beast in the air and is a commander in defense - something we will lack when Carra eventually retires

Kevin Gameiro (11mil) Widely regarded as a french David Villa. He plays on the shoulder of the last defender but has the dribbling abilities to play as a second striker. Good work rate, very quick, and therefore would have the ability to play with either Carroll or Suarez

James McCarthy (10mil) Kenny Dalglish has huge hopes for this lad. He feels his tactical awareness, as well as his technical skill (espec his distribution and positioning) make him the closest thing to Paul Scholes

Brad Friedel (free) 1 year contract as back up to Mr. Reina. Reliable, experienced.

Dalglish will have 3 main central defenders for next term: Carragher Skrtel and Vertonghen. Ayala and Wilson will also vye for a chance. Dalglish sees Kelly as a future CB so may give him a few oppurtunities there in the case of injuries.

In the defensive midfield role, in case Lucas develops an injury, Liverpool have Spearing to cover, and Dalglish also hopes to blood the more talented Connor Coady into the squad.

With only 3 wide players (Mata Hazard Kuyt) Liverpool will blood Raheem Sterling into the squad too as he can play wide left or wide right. Suarez can also play on either side in a 4-3-3 and if absolutely necessary, Gerrard/Meireles/McCarthy could fit wide temporarily.

21 May 2011 14:09:43
a couple of ideas here,

Mata would be a class signing, and i think downing is more likely than young.

Shane long will sign for us and taraabt would fit in nicely.

Lb position will either be clichy, vargas or enrique and i feel adam will be a done deal soon,

Others include gervinho, hazard, kevin nolan.

Anyone got any other suggestions?

i heard that sterling was set to join shefield wednesday and i heard this rumour last month from a mate who plays for the gillingham u-18's

Why would we let a very promising youngster, who could haunt us in the future if we do let him go, leave?

Apparently, Lille are interested in Jovanovic and they already made contact with LFC about this transfer, and it is possible that the deal will include player exchange, with Hazard going the other way.
Highly unlikely but its one of my favorite rumors so far.

hi eds

just a quick question in relation to whats written below about james mccarthy. i know that liverpool have been interested in him since he was at hamilton at 16 and he chose not to come when he left to go to wigan. is there interest from both sides and is it dependent on wigan being relegated. as he has declared himself for the republic i have been interested in this player for a long time and think he would be a very valuable player in a few years time . {Ed002's Note - There appears to be interest from Liverpool but a £20M reported price tag that is making everyone baulk. It is not tied to relegation.}

Hi all, i was curious to wonder what everyone though of Stephen Ireland. I haven't heard anything about us signing him but I personally think he would be a great singing to strengthen our squad and also add to the number of British players we have, and is also not liked by Aston Villa. What dose every one ells think? Any body heard anything? (Can you please post this in rumours ed please so i can see if anyone had heard anything thanks)

Stephen Ieland would be a great signing as far as his playing abilities are concerned , however and this is the biggest problem that Ireland has. He thinks he is the best player in the world and his ego is his downfall. He falls out with managers everywhere and holds a grudge he would be a disaster for the dressing room. he has problems at international level for Ireland since under age when a perceived slight at a game in cork ( his hometown ) led to him not playing for ireland at under age level for numerous years then the whole high profile granny incident while on senior duty for the republic and the talk of bullying and hair transplants ! i think as a player he is gifted but his attitude and ego prove to be too much for some !

Ed sorry to bother you with another 'rate the possibilty' but I would like to know
the possibility of Adam Johnson a) if Mancini stays b) if mancini leaves
Also the chance of Aly Cissoko compared to Jose Enrique {Ed002's Note -3, 3, 2}

Ed what are your views on these players form the bundesliga?
Arturo Vidal - Ed002: Seems to be Barcelona bound.
Nuri Sahin - Ed002: Has agreed to join Real Madrd.
Mats Hummels - Ed002: Stay at Dortmund, or Inter or Barcelona.
Mario Gotze - Ed002: Manchester United and Barcelona have already been knocked back by his club and the player himself has made it abundantly clear that he wants to stay at Dortmund.

Are they possible signings? Or are they going to find somewhere else do you think?

Thanks, CL x {Ed002's Note - I added some notes above.}

21 May 2011 12:17:05
ed- is liverpool interested in ganso? good player but can you really see this happening? {Ed002's Note - Ganso has his heart set on AC Milan, but Milan have a non-EU quota issue if they are to sign him. The quota's can be increased by borrowing from other teams in exchange for players on loan - which seems to me like it should not be allowed, but it is. Chelsea are keeping a watching brief as they continue their long term interest. Inter Milan and Barcelona have also shown an interest in the player. Liverpool are not involved at all I am afraid.}

21 May 2011 12:17:01
ed is pastore coming to us ?

{Ed002's Note - Pastore may well be moving this summer - it seems to be on/off week-by-week. Palermo is a difficult club to deal with (to say the least) and money is not something they are short of. They crave success and I would not be surprised to see him stay another season. Juventus have been knocked back with their standard offer of €20m in cash plus Raffaelle Palladino, Amauri and Sebastian Giovinco in exchange, on loan or in part-ownership as part of the deal. Chelsea are looking for a long-term replacement for Lampard and Manchester United are looking for a long-term replacement for Scholes. He is certainly not top of Chelsea's transfer list but they will keep a watching brief. The rejected bid that was publicised was certainly from Manchester City. Liverpool had shown an interest before Christmas but will struggle with the price - which if he is sold is likely to be the highest of the summer. The fee will be in the region of £50M or a part ownership deal may well be negotiated. If I had to suggest a destination Barcelona, one of the Milanese clubs or an outside chance of Chelsea.}

Ed, has there been any interest in Phil jones? Think he's a very quality versatile player, English and young. Who else is interested. Cheers.

Realistic red. {Ed002's Note - There has been interest from Arsenal, Spurs and Liverpool that I am aware of. Arsenal might have the edge.}

Read Harrys interview on Skysports about Scott parker:

He is footballer of the year, " said Redknapp. "There will be a lot of big clubs interested in him. Liverpool and Arsenal are, I hear. .

I think he would be a good signing for Liverpool and may provide that bite of bite and experience in midfield (especially away games where our form has been poor at times over the last few seasons).
It is against the new owners criteria in terms of age and sell on value but it wouldn't surprise me if it happened.

Any legs on this one Ed? Cheers mate

Kopper {Ed002's Note - I think it would be a very odd choice by Dalglish - but better than Joey Barton!}

See Ed i disagree, i think Joey would give yous that bit of fight in the midle of park and win balls back, which is something we desperatley need!

i would prefer Parker over Joey barton. barton is a good footballer and has had a great season but he brings alot of baggage with him and its not really what we need next season. Besides parker just had a fantastic season and with West ham going down would be available at a cur price deal!
A strange choice by KK but I guess Harry redknapp is a decent enough source. He will have a fair idea of who is looking at the same players he is.

On another note Ashley Young & Enrique look nailed on.

Hey all,

I have been getting whispers that Raheem Sterling is to Join Sheffield United on a season Long loan - do you guys know anything of this and do you feel it would be beneficial to his development - Personally, I would rather he remained with our coaching staff - where not only the Liverpool methods are applied but also the Liverpool ethos?? Feedback appreciated

Cheers

Looks like enrqiue is a done deal.

just a suggestion for those going to the game tomorrow, if we really want ashley young to sign for us then why not give the lad a great reception and maybe even chant his name, if he's torn between us and the mancs then this could sway it, tell me to kiss off if you like but it's just an idea.

Kenny is talking about offering Carroll in an exchange deal for Bale with some money changing hands somewhere along the line, came from inquiries into lennon, a mate works as Spurs groundstaff.
Carroll not settled and conscious that Kennys after another St or two so he doesn't know if he will be certain starter. Tbh im not impressed wi carroll, he promotes longs ball play which with quality of Suarez to play it along the deck just is negative. He also has the same knee injury as woodgate so hes crocked. Cash in on Carroll now while the hype is high before we end up selling him next year for 10m, he wanted to play for the geordies and had mates there, here hes a mercenary whereas we could sell him and get Aguero upfront with Suarez

Heard that we are gunning for Gervinho, club is keen and so is he, 15million should do it.

He only has a year left on his contract, he's linked with arsenal and man city for 6 million so we could get him for that, I think he was a hodgson target though.

{Ed002's Note - Gervinho is keeping his options open but regardless of a new offer from Lille or interest from Fiorentina, I suspect that he will be playing in England next season with Newcastle, Liverpool, Fulham (if they make Europa which seems likely), Spurs or perhaps Arsenal.}

Hi ED please post this, A definate signing that is going to happen is Lee Chung-Yong of Bolton, Liverpool are desperate to get an Asian signing in and the south korean man is the ideal player to bring not only a massive amount of money into the club but also he is a very gifted footballer who would only improve at liverpool. Would cost around 7 mil and i think would be a far better option than honda. This deal will happen. Micky

The two deals are, 50 mill Aguero signing and Torres is returning for £9.99 but if we sign him before July 1st we get him half price. Koptalk is s**te lad they no nothing, just all speculation.

- Ashley Young ( 15million )
- Antoine Griezmann ( 14million )/( 10million + Maxi )
- Phil Jones ( 10million )

- Blaise Matuidi ( 9million )

maybe some youngsters as well

Predicted signings:

( Agreed) Marveaux and Enrique ( would prefer Clichy myself, appreciate the doubts over him defensively, but he doesn't get much help from the Arsenal left side or defensive midfield cover and is often left totally exposed. I think coming to LFC he'd improve our left back spot more than Enrique)
Young
Mata

Ed- have you heard anything on interest in Watson and McCarthy from Wigan? Also thoughts on Hines and Collison from West Ham? All four are promising youngsters that I feel could flourish at LFC.

{Ed002's Note - Only McCarthy.}

mata/a.johnson

Honda is attracting interest from a number of clubs in europe and we remain keen but if we don't get in early could miss out on him - he's class so i hope we do sign him up.

Finally, are we looking at any young talent in south america or are we simply outgunned in that market??

Liverpool are definitely interested in Ashley Young and I used the word interested people. On the other hand Liverpool are also in for Eden Hazard but as things stand. Young would have a higher chance of joining Liverpool. Liverpool are also 'rumored' to be looking at Scoot Parker and despite his age of 30. he would be a valuable asset and has recently been voted the Football Writers Player of the Season. and he does the holding role really well and would have a good combination with Steven Gerrard in my opinion. Then again its only a rumour. The problem now is the Left Back position because as things stand Enrique and Clincy have been mentioned. although it is rumoured that Liverpool have been scouting players from Ajax and Benfica for that position. The Diego news just came out of no where and its because of his recent outburst around his current club. again people, he is a good player but nevertheless he is not a winger. I do believe Eden Hazard is high on the list as he suits FSG's policy of young talent but the chances of him joining are pretty slim and I would think that he would play another season for Lille in the Champions League. Ed I would like your comment on Parker and how you rate him at Liverpool? and also are there other names related to Liverpool for the Left Back position besides Baines who I think has almost 0.1% joining us. {Ed002's Note - Parker at 30 is perhaps not an ideal choice. At left back Enrique is seemingly the favourite but perhaps take a look at Vargas as well.}

Okay so this is what I am hearing at the moment.
Lfc are in for alot of players, making enquires about possibility of signing them. Now don't twist my words these are a list of players Kenny & Comolli have enquired about, doesn't mean we are signing them.

Sergio Aquero
Charlie Adam
Scott Parker
Diego
Ashley Young
Stewart Downing
Ibrehiam Affelay
Eden Hazard
Bojan Krkic
Gary Cahill
Gael Clichy
Jose Enrique
Adel Taraabt
Sylvain Marveaux

I expect 3 or 4 to sign depending on departures aswell.

Hi eds, readers,

I was just wondering if any eds know any information on who is staying, regarding the youngsters. I know some players are most likely to go on loan, but are there any that will go permanently? any information on these players would be appreciated:

Dani Pacheco, Nathan Eccleston, Danny Wilson, Daniel Ayala, David Amoo.

thanks

In the same order, Loan, Sold, Loan, First team squad, Sold. . . hope that helps!

Based on probability, contracts, new players etc.
