Quick question coentrao finally up for a move to the prem due to madrid meeting the asking price for rodriguez? Hopefully we move for him instead of Moreno probably half the price too! Any info on developments would be great thanks in advance!

{Ed002's Note - James Rodriguez is not a left back.}

I was on about Ricardo Rodriguez who was no doubt the best left back at the world cup?! Thanks.

Agree0 Disagree4

{Ed002's Note - You seem to be very confused. He plays for Wolfsburg.}

21 Jul 2014 23:32:41
Although Ed, too be fair to the OP, Bild has an article from 28/06/14 saying Madrid will go for Ricardo Rodriguez and allow Coentrao to leave, just looked for myself!

Agree3 Disagree3

{Ed002's Note - Collective stupidity does not make it any better.}

21 Jul 2014 23:29:26
Madrid are buying James Rodriguez, the Foward? I can see the confusion, just can't quite believe it lol

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Collective stupidity is no excuse.}

22 Jul 2014 02:46:42
I just shed tears from laughing this morning. LOL

Agree1 Disagree1

22 Jul 2014 06:45:22
Ed, I was supporting your response, believing the OP to be confused, but can underetand his confusion with a few snippets mentioning R.Rodriguez also being of interest to Real.

Agree0 Disagree2

{Ed002's Note - Jolly good.}

Who said any thing about a fee being agreed between Wolfs and RM for Rodrigues?I know understand why some posts get deleted, gosh

Agree1 Disagree1

Ed thank you very much. PDLFC I don't think you should for for a little while.

Agree0 Disagree0

I guess there is always the option of playing Bale as a back up left back ;-)

I imagine they would look to move Benzema on although I fancy he might be ok with getting a splinter or two.

I've used the search function eds but can't see anything. A few outlets reporting today that a fee has been agreed for Lovren. Do you know if this is the case?

Believable14 Unbelievable17

{Ed002's Note - It won't be.}

So a deal hasn't been agreed?

Or a deal won't be agreed?

Agree1 Disagree2

{Ed002's Note - How clear does it need to be? Get someone to read the short question to you and then the answer.}

I hope it is! also I did get your reply but it was not very clear.

Agree2 Disagree0

Lol Ed, don't get Pissy with me. You could have been saying 'It won't be the case' as in, It won't have been agreed yet. Or you could have meant 'It won't be agreed' as in it's never going to happen. It doesn't need to be very clear, but it needs to be clearer than that

Agree16 Disagree1

Mike-NO FEE HAS BEEN AGREED FOR LOVREN. This information is from Saints not Croatia, so the no fee could be in Euros, Sterling or Green Shield stamps found in a Liverpool warehouse.
Seriously, I expect a fee will be agreed with a club, but it will wait until Saints have secured an adequate replacement. Saints have no rush to sell, we have more of your money to spend and will be focusing on that currently. Don't worry, we are keeping Lovren's torso in good condition and not playing him in any friendlies with him unable to head the ball at the moment. (It could be the end of August before he is rebuilt and available!)

Agree0 Disagree9

There is a thought Chelsea could be interested.

Agree1 Disagree1

22 Jul 2014 09:37:08
May I suggest the use of "Pound" over "Sterling"?

Just to avoid potential questions such as "Are we paying with Raheem Sterling Ed?"

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - It is not Southampton who are interested in Sterling.}

21 Jul 2014 14:53:09
Eds, any truth to the rumour that Trabzonspor have agreed the signing of Kolo Toure

Believable43 Unbelievable6

{Ed002's Note - I am not sure that anything is finally agreed, but yes.}

22 Jul 2014 08:56:29
ed will there be any fee or will we mutually agree to release him from his contract i.e. not have to pay him the remianig year or so left on his deal

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - It would be a matter of both parties agreeing to tear up the contract. He got a very significant signing on fee from Liverpool and is looking for another. Liverpool really need to get him off the wage bill.}

22 Jul 2014 10:11:49
Hi Ed002,

Will Liverpool receive any Fee or will this effectively be a free transfer?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - See above.}

Thanks ed. he was pretty mince last season anyway.playing out from the back wasn't really his game

21 Jul 2014 14:46:24
Hi Ed, Quick one for you. I read today online (can't say if the source is reliable or not as never heard of them before) that Chelsea were planning on hijacking our potential deal for Lovren. Do you know anything about it? Are they interested in him?

Thanks

Believable7 Unbelievable17

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of this.}

21 Jul 2014 15:24:37
Cheers Ed

Hi Ed002, I asked about our apparent interest in Javier Manquillo a couple of days back, just wondering whether you were able to check/confirm the interest?

Thanks

Believable3 Unbelievable7

{Ed002's Note - I understand that the answer is no interest from Liverpool - possible move to Arsenal.}

Its been reported that LFC have agreed a 2 year loan with AM to bring Manquillo to LFC. Hmmmmm?

Agree1 Disagree0

21 Jul 2014 14:21:06
Ed002
Do you know if LFC have ever enquired about Ivan Perisic the Croatian midfielder? Or if other clubs in England have pursued his signature?
Thanks

Believable3 Unbelievable10

{Ed002's Note - Everton, Napoli and Lille.}

Great footballer.

That will be the 4th time then this transfer window this deal has been agreed.

Good Morning Eds,

There are a few reports this morning (Echo, ssn, BBC etc) that Origi has agreed a switch to Liverpool

It has been well documented that Lille will only sell if the buying club loan him back to them

As it stands today, is this still very much the case and are Liverpool willing to loan him back or is the club pushing for a permanent move ao he would start the season in August with us and not Lille, if the transfer happens

I know you have replied on this subject a few times but I was really wanting to know if the sutuation has recently changed or where it stands today?

Thanks in advance

Believable6 Unbelievable5

I am not aware of any change although I don't know what agreement has been reached.}

How true is the rumour that we are looking to seal a loan deal with real madrid for isco?

Believable62 Unbelievable64

How true is a rumour?

Agree3 Disagree2

An interview with br said that he was not aking anyone on loan this season so if this is true he is looking to buy

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed002's Note - Not Isco - why do I need to constantly repeat myself?}

21 Jul 2014 11:10:40
Seems that the main reason Sevilla is stalling Moreno transfer to LFC is because they want the left back to play for them in European super cup against Real Madrid. :s

Info/facts:

After Liverpool and Sunderland agreed a fee and just before he left to go on tour, Borini viewed a new house in formby. Hd really expressed his love for the house and it's architecture. He never mentioned a move away from Liverpool.
I believe this is because he wants to stay an fight for his place. However, I also believe he will be advised to move on.

Personal views:

looks like remy will replace him, I will be happy with this business.

Formbyite

I found out this borini info on Friday - I know it to be 100% true. (Reliable honest source)

Believable21 Unbelievable20

I heard he was unsure about the garden size as it does not receive enough sunlight, yet he expressed how delighted he was with the Georgian sash windows and gothic plate glass.

Agree4 Disagree2

Devastating if true. I mean as we all know it is against the law to not buy a house once you have expressed liking for it's architecture.

Poor guy! Stuck in Liverpool just because he loves a marble cornice!

Stay strong brother

Glass comments, boys.

Eds, to your knowledge does the interest in Lacazette go any further than just having looked at him?

Believable0 Unbelievable5

{Ed002's Note - Not anymore of course.}

We are signing Remy. No more forwards will come in.

Agree7 Disagree1

Loic Remy.

Liverpool's interest in Belgium winger Zakaria Bakkali has been reported already this summer, but now reports in Holland claim that the Reds have firmed up their interest in the 18-year-old - only to discover that PSV Eindhoven have already agreed terms for Bakkali's transfer with another club.

ssn

Eds do you know who the other club is and can Liverpool stil agree a deal with PSV as no transfer is yet finalized.

Believable7 Unbelievable4

{Ed002's Note - Probably Eintracht Frankfurt.}

Thanks for the reply mate!

Agree1 Disagree0

21 Jul 2014 12:29:32
Well that makes our job easy. Can we/will we match what they already have? If yes, it's down to the player and if no, then on we move!

Agree0 Disagree1

One for the future this lad. I fell if we don't go for him now, another club will probably grab him and either sell him on next year (for a substantial profit) or simply do the trick of loaning him out. In my opinion he will provide a lot goal scoring chances, great pace and passing ability. I hope this comes off.

Hi everyone, not sure if Ed002 is around but he mentioned a little while ago that Moreno was days away from a move to Athletico Madrid. What is the latest regarding him please? It's all gone quite at the moment

Believable1 Unbelievable14

{Ed002's Note - There is nothing new.}

Hey eds,
Loving the new avatar update!
Defs had to show my picture with my friends taken by the LFC photographer in Melbourne when they came down last year.
Just wondering if you think the deal for Lovren will go through?
If it does, do you think there's a chance Skrtel or Agger will leave? Or even Kolo?
Cheers.

Believable9 Unbelievable6

{Ed001's Note - yes and that is the plan to let one or even both Skrtel and Agger go.}

I would rather we kept Agger and let Skrtel go. Agger is clearly a big influence in the dressing room unlike Skrtel, and while he may not be a regular first team player next season, his leadership qualities will be even more important to guide all the young players in the squad especially with the likes of Lucas and Kolo leaving.
This may sound sentimental, but I do not want the club to force a loyal servant like Agger, who rejected an all conquering Barca side to stay with us during difficult times. LFC are better than that.

Agree6 Disagree1

Would rather lose one of the two.

Agree0 Disagree1

Oops sorry I meant don't want the club to force Agger out.

Agree1 Disagree0

Why would Liverpool sell Skrtel this summer, he was our stand out defender last season with some world class performances. Surely BR would not be daft enough to let him leave. You would hope the priority is to keep both Agger and Skrtel and move toure and Coates on

Agree2 Disagree1

WelshKop I may be wrong but didn't Skrtel score the most own goals in the prem last season. I do rate him but he is prone to an error and as we all witnessed in games like the palace one he lacked the intelligence and leadership to lead the line properly when under pressure. At best he should be a squad player or moved on. Just my opinion but we definitely need a right sided centre half

Agree0 Disagree0

Borini will play his last game for us against Roma, he wants to play against his old club and Rodgers will let him and Remy will replace him in the 33-man squad
