any interest in victor moses and steven fletcher? who would be more on LFC's radar? thanks

Shut up, Steven fletcher is not good enough for Liverpool!

Joshlfc

Why? because you want us to get relegated? they're mid table players at best.

Never said "these are the players i want" just wondered if there was interest because thats what ive heard and was just curious which one we would want more (if there was genuine interest)

Unfortunately, since KK admitted that Henderson, downing, Carroll, etc were his choices of targets, there probably IS interest in Fletcher... there really shouldnt be any interest, but wouldnt be surprised if we ended up wasting 10m on him :-(

To be honest I would rather have Steven Fletcher as a back-up striker than some of the options that we have had recently. I'm not saying that he would be a definite startt

Flecther is Bettar than anyone we have at putting the ball in the net , would love him at the club , stop with this we need the forigen player or mata or Augero they didn't want to come

Ed could essien be an option in the summer, he doesn't seem to be able to get a game? {Ed001's Note - I very much doubt it, he was a great player, but injuries have slowed him badly and he is always on the verge of breaking down again. Added to that, he is on a huge wage.}

7 years ago and i'd have loved this but a couple of things:

1 - Injuries.. always injured and when not they have taken the bite out of his play

and

2 His wages must be sky high...so thanks but no thanks.

Hope he retire off to a nice easy league.. MLS and the like cause even if he was/is a chelsea boy, he was one hell of a player in his time and very under-rated in my mind.

Cheers
JJ

Any news regarding Muniain or Soldado?

I want saldado and hopfully it will happen don't raise hopes though muniain is stayin with bilbao

To be honest i cant really see us getting either of them, i suppose there is a decent chance soldado could happen but muniain is very unlikely

Yeah im sry to say but is very unlikely, muniain u can forget about allready, one of the best talents in the world... why he would choose liverpool?

"one of the best talents in the world... why he would choose liverpool?"

good god...

how about for the chance of being involved with a historic club, the chance of winning trophies, and perhaps being immortalised in the mind of millions of fans when we finally do win the league?

"how about for the chance of being involved with a historic club, the chance of winning trophies, and perhaps being immortalised in the mind of millions of fans when we finally do win the league?"

lol, that's a good one, keep them coming mate! I can just see Muniain sat at home thinking that right now

Hi Eds,

Any Chance of Nuri Sahin? He hasn'y played much at Real and could maybe be tempted?

Drizzle {Ed001's Note - I doubt it, he would have far too many options and his wages are well above what we are paying.}

If u haven't seen him play, why do you want him?

20 Apr 2012 19:33:01
Ed when was the last year lfc operated at a profit and do you think it will many more years before they are doing so again

Thanks {Ed001's Note - no idea, sorry but I have no interest in profit and loss accounts.}

Ed my brother in law is a Man City fan and he said that the owners have bought land around the stadium and have major plans for hotels etc to add extra income for themselves and the club... Are FSG planning on doing anything similar in the near future i know we are running the club at a loss but surely if FSG had similar plans to the Sheik it would benefit us no end

Many thanks

MJ {Ed001's Note - that would certainly be the ideal, but it is a bit beyond the club's spending power now. Moores had the chance to do all that but passed it up, he was far too busy sponging off the club. Now we are looking at working with others to regenerate the surrounding area.}

20 Apr 2012 18:12:12
Ed why was mr Henry in this week {Ed001's Note - really? Why do you think he was in when we just had a clearout of staff?}

His plane was in for 2 days

I believe that the one has been spotted in Southport and Formby looking at houses wonder if hes are new Manager would need a lot of money handed to him

Madrid to formby heard it all now..

When you say the one , i presume your referring to Neo from the matrix.

Hes rentin ken agueros box room, givr shillings and a pork pie a week, it will nr announced the night before thr cup final to scare the russian

He is in Formby, I seen him the other day with a green hat on and a large fishing rod, he's there because the trout are fantastic this time of season!

I'm sure I saw him paddling at Crosby with a few of his mates

Redpath

I am sure he was in that area, as he is having a weekend break at Pontins in Ainsdale up the road. I heard he is a massive fan of Captain Croc and thinks that Chuckles the monkey would complement Ronaldo perfectly.

Liverpool Showing More Interest in Ganso , He is believed to be willing to leave the brazillian club if Neymar goes away from santos to. He is interested in playing with his brazillian team mate Lucas Leiva

We should defiantly go for him! Young, great long shot, awesome passing in the final third..just what we're missing! Imagine if we got Neymar & Ganso ;)
But i'd be ecstatic with Ganso! Hopefully the Lucas and South American players advise him to pack his bags =D
YNWA

Imagine if we got Neymar. Its so unlikely I don't think even imagining is possible haha

Ed do you think there is any chance of ganso coming? {Ed001's Note - no.}

Has Naymar not already agreed to join Barca anyway.

20 Apr 2012 17:39:07
Eds Is there any truth about Szalai coming to Liverpool ? he is a great player with a good international record still quite young too {Ed001's Note - I don't know sorry.}

20 Apr 2012 17:27:24
alot of rumours about erriksen today have we shown interest? or is it the wishful thinkers again. ty

Hope its true he is quality he could help fill the gap and ease the pain when stevie decides to hang up his boots

MJ

I think we've signed him ;)

I was in Manchester airport terminal 1 from between 2 and 3 this afternoon and saw a Liverpool FC rep waiting for someone (she was holding up an LFC sign in the arrivals lounge) The only European flights due in were from Spain and holland..........

20 Apr 2012 17:01:02
I know this may sound weird but is there any chance of us possibly re-signing Florent Sinama Pongolle. Quick winger who can get the ball in the box and he wont exactly break the bank. He's 27 as well so still have a few years left...

What do ya think eds? {Ed001's Note - except he isn't good enough.}

May as well bring back marc Gonzalez to then...Come on man think LFC future not LFC Past

MJ

Good player but only for coming off the bench, and probly wouldent wanna do that

Where is he playing now?

20 Apr 2012 15:44:03
are liverpool interested in michu of rayo vallenco? {Ed002's Note - I expect that Michu is a player who has been watched by scouts of a number of clubs possibly including Liverpool but I think it most unlikely a move to England is going to happen. Keep in mind he only arrived in Madrid this past summer as well.}

Apr 2012 15:02:33
Ed do you know if we are or have watched Mikel Zaton?
16 yr old from Bilbao, obviously would be a player for the academy!

Cheers
Aussie red {Ed002's Note - See earlier answers.}

i don't pay a penny to watch or support the club. because i'm not the type to be financially exploited by ian ayre and co and i don't bathe in expensive club merchandise does that make me a bad fan?

Not a true red then, i like many others buy the merchandise to show my pride that i am a fan, its not about exploitation, we liverpool (ian ayre and co) are no different from any other club, so dont single people out. its just the way of the world. if i had the money, i like many other reds would go to every game, you may be a fan, i cant agrue that point, but it does sound like you aren't a very nice person

Not even a fan.

Each to their own, mate. If you just wanna cheer the team on, then at least that's something.

No, just a mean person who should get out more! Ian Ayre doesn't get better off by you buying a kit.

You'd be better of supporting United.

Was that written by Tom Hicks

Good. You shouldnt expect any signing too.

Support the club unconditionally.

It would be nice if you could sign the post so that you can be heralded as an asthetic fan.....

LiverBird

No you're not a bad fan. Supporting Liverpool is more than just wearing a shirt, or scarf and singing YNWA.

I'm sure there are 100,000's if not millions of Liverpool fans, World wide who simply can not justify spending money on LFC merchandise, or any other football club's merchandise, when the reality of their situation in poverty for example.

Liverpool have vast amounts of fans in India, in some of the most poverty stricken places in the World. They're not ''bad fans'' for not buying official merchandise.

In the case of putting principles before corporate marketing schemes, although it's a different argument, it still does not make one a ''bad fan''.

I would never kick a Liverpool football at school, i even used my pocket money to buy a Man Utd football and kicked the ever loving fudge out of it every day on the concrete play ground with my friends. :)

Ollieston

Good reply Ollie

You support the reds, that's the main thing!

Just because you don't have LFC on everything you own doesn't make you a bad fan. Far from it.

In fact I think it's a bit tacky when virtually everything you own has LFC on it. But that's just me I guess.

I guess all clubs are the same these days selling every item known to man with their name and logo on it.

Gaz1975.

I think the original poster is a bad fan, not because he does n't buy any merchandise or buy a ticket, but because he does not understand without 'fans' buying and spending money towards the club, the club wont exist, its not financial exploitation , its survival and prosperity.
Roy

Not a bad fan....just an Evertonian

Yes it does!
I live in Ipswich and i make sure i go to at least two games a season if only so i can just show my support.

If you don't support the club financially then your 'support' is ultimately meaningless, because you supporting Liverpool functionally makes no difference to the club whatsoever. Even fans who buy shirts and merchandise are contributing in a real sense to the club, and if you don't attend matches and give vocal support, and don't even contribute to the club by helping the bottom line or wearing the colours with pride, then your 'support' (more like goodwill at best) doesn't count for anything ultimately

What does this have to do with rumours about the club?
I love Liverpool Football Club, I feel happy when we win, I feel miserable when we lose. I go to Anfield, I buy the merchandise and I have a tattoo of the liverbird. There are a lot of fans like that, it doesn't make them better fans than anyone else, we just put Liverpool football club higher on our priority list than others.
If anyone has a go at another one of our own fans for being a worse fan than they are, then, to me, they don't get what supporting the club is about. It's not about who has the most merchandise or who has been to the most games, it's about passion and emotions. Who here can honestly say that they feel nothing for the 96? Or who can say that they didn't feel happy when we re-signed Robbie Fowler? Because I feel pain and sorrow or the 96 an I jumped around the living room about the second coming. Those feelings and emotions are why I love Liverpool Football Club do much.

Lee

That makes you an person my friend ,nothing more nothing less :)

So what exactly do you do to support the club?

Want us to ein and be happy when we do thats all you need to do to be a fan

Not a bad fan just not a fan.... Get a life

Bad Fan..maybe yes, maybe no. When hicks and gillet where at the club I didn't spend a penny on anything offical..(or unoffical.. just wore the old shirts I had) cause I would give them two..in their language..cents. Recently I have cause I'm willing to give these owners a go. However, when I was a student, I couldn't afford a new away kit every season... in fact couldn't afford the home kit most times so I had my bro's hand me downs... was I any less a fan.. I'd say no. Its rare these days that I can afford to go to a match but I'm there inspirit every time we play...so am I a bad fan? To be honest it's pretty much a rhetorical question. Yes your a bad fan if you think you are. Would it be better for the club for you to shop on their website/offical shops... probabbly yes, but not everyone can. So generally make your own mind up...If you support the club others should see that and heck, if you dont buy the stuff one of the people you meet and tell them about us might.

There's a fan, then there's a supporter. You are just a fan.

I got got a home and away kit for £4.99 each on sprts direct does that make me a bad fan, im supporting my club but funding a rival in newcastle@sportstsdirect.com?

A fan is somebody who has an interest in the club, a supporter is somebody who backs them either finacially or in person by turning up to games and cheering them on (this doesn't necessarily have to cost anything if the team is say a sunday league outfit) Personally, i've been to a few games, a couple a season if I can, I get the kit for my birthday and buy the odd mug, not exactly hardcore, but that puts me in the supporter category. I don't look down at people who do less than me, how can I when people do more? It annoys me though when people who have plenty of money or have been handed a season ticket on a plate look down on others, does this make them a better person somehow? I have often found a lot of people actually use this position of privilege as a weapon when their understanding of the game or position in the table is under fire, something I despise.

20 Apr 2012 14:42:51
Ed is there a decent chance of dries mertens coming in the summer? {Ed002's Note - No, perhaps a very slim chance.}

20 Apr 2012 14:08:04
Good Afternoon Eds.

Do we have any interest in:

A) Junior Hoilett
B) Victor Moses

...and which would be more likely, if any?

Thanks.
@YNWAKitchen {Ed002's Note - Not as far as we are aware.}

More Moses but I can't see us getting eiether

20 Apr 2012 14:00:53
Eds, do you see Sakho of PSG being available in the summer?

{Ed002's Note - Possibly but it is by no means certain.}

20 Apr 2012 13:12:35
Ed do we have any interest in victor moses?

Thanks {Ed002's Note - I would not be surprised if there was interest from Liverpool, Spurs and Arsenal should he become available.}

Hi ed002.. is that no interest from LFC, AFC and Spurs or no interest fron LFC but some from AFC and Spurs?

Cheers
JJ {Ed002's Note - You are kidding, right?}

20 Apr 2012 12:10:16
Hey eds, there are a few murmurings about Barcelona having an interest in Daniel Agger? Have you heard anything?

Thanks
Amz {Ed002's Note - No and I have no idea where any such rumours are coming from.}

Not surprised if there was, he fits their philosophy as he's the best ball playing defender (along with hummels). but we need to keep him, we play much better with him back in the side

They are looking at Silva (Milan) and Luiz (Chelsea) and Martinez (Bilbao) for CM.

Also, the are looking at Alba (Valencia) for LB.

LiverBird

Do they really need more central midfielders? I can only assume that they will one day be playing with 8 CM, Valdes, Pique & Messi.

an american red

You're just saying that because barca keep buying him from you on your fifa manager mode mate.

Was that meant to be funny? The only reason I asked was because my mate at the bookies said a lot of money has been put on agger to join barca in the last couple of days. Leave your immature posts to yourself in future.

Sorry. That was a typo. Silva and Luiz are Center Backs.

But then you never know wot Guardiola thinks.

LiverBird

They(and Real Madrid) scouted him 3 years ago, they need a LCB. He's a Barca fan. You never know. Would suit the La Liga.

A player told him he should leave if barca come calling him, remember reading it somewhere. i hope its all bull though

20 Apr 2012 11:14:28
i am getting sick of all these impossibe tranfers everyone is talking about. Hazard no chance. cavani no chance, eriksson very unlikely.

The signings we may get are jackson martinez, gaston ramirez and maybe de jong. We will have to take risks on signings if we want to get back in the champions league and bring back the glory years.

Well said. why do people think we'll sign world class players now, when we never have done? its ridiculous. reina and alonso werent household names when we signed them, hayden mullins kept masch out of the west ham squad. torres was only a prospect. hell, go back further if you want, most of our none homegrown heroes have grown into being superstars at our club, not before. id rather sign three prospects at £15 mill a pop than one "worldie" for £45 mill. no guarentees any players will succeed, see shevchenko and veron. three young talents should hopefully grow nicely, and maybe one becomes a £45 mil player.

20 Apr 2012 11:01:02
Why is everyone getting excited cos Moses is leaving Wigan? He is so over rated its unreal!
LeeWils

He did part the red sea!

Yes, and I hear he was a bit of a basket case when younger.

Lol fair point, can he shoot though?!

And which part of Liverpools team isn't?

20 Apr 2012 10:46:48
ed,where do you reckon Nathaniel Clyne will play his football next year,any chance were interested in him?thanks... {Ed002's Note - There is no known interest from Liverpool and if I had to guess I suspect he will spend much on next season on Manchester United's bench.}

Thanks ed,do you KNOW of interest from UTD or is it just rumours you've heard?i like Flanagan and think he'll be a good player but think a season on loan playing every week in the Championship would be good for him followed by a loan in the Premiership much like Spurs did with Walker..in this case Clyne would have been perfect as cover for Johnson(if he stays)and possibly to take over from him in a coupla years with Flanagan then maybe as backup or hopefully challenging for a starting place.also EDdo you know how highly trhe club rate Wisdom?i ask because i've always rated him higher than Flanagan AND Robinson yet he hasnt made the breakthrough yet despite being more ready physically than the others...cheers! {Ed002's Note - There is interest in Clyne from Manchester United. I could not say how the club rate Wisdom.}

20 Apr 2012 10:23:17
ed what are the chances of wallcot or hoilett joining us in summer
keep up the good work :) {Ed002's Note - Try the search function please.}

Walcott will join in July for 17million and hoilett will go to spurs

20 Apr 2012 09:47:06
Hamburg director Frank Arnesen has admitted that the Bundesliga side are interested in luring Dirk Kuyt away from Liverpool at the end of the season.
The Netherlands international has been struggling to secure regular first-team action this term, and could therefore be tempted to move on in the summer transfer window.

"A player like Kuyt, who is still in good shape, can add something to any team. He is a real team-player with an excellent attitude," Arnesen was quoted as saying by Bild.

Nevertheless, the attacker's agent Rob Jansen has made it clear that there have not been any talks about a summer move just yet.

"There have not been any talks with Arnesen or with someone else from HSV. Would Kuyt be interested in a move to the Bundesliga? I can't say anything about that. A lot of clubs have made enquiries, but there's nothing concrete for now."

The 31-year-old Kuyt, who has also been linked with a move back to Feyenoord, has a contract until 2013 with Liverpool.

Hi Eds, this is not a rumour, more just throwing a name into the hat! If any of you watched the Sporting Lisbon vs Athletic Bilbao game last night, no doubt Diego Capel will have caught your eye! He outshone the highly rated Iker Muniain (who for me did virtually nothing), from start to finish.
He ghosted past people as if they weren't even there with lightening quick pace and excellent dribbling control, he delivered fantastic balls into the box time after time with both feet and he also showed sheer desire to win the game for his club.
This was not a one of performance either, having started only 17 games in the league this season he has scored 4 goals, and also has 4 assists and 1 goal in the Europa league.
He can play on either wing, so would be the perfect answer to our problems, as he could deliver the crosses Andy has been longing for all season.
As for financial outlay to secure his services, he would not cost a lot considering Sporting signed him for just 3.5 million Euros.
What do you think? {Ed002's Note - He has been at Sporting less than a year and they will not be looking to sell.}

He was at Sevilla before this and was displaced by Perotti...

LiverBird

He played well last night but so did their left back, he looked like he could do a job for us, maybr a cheeky bid for him too?

The left back used to play for us Emiliano Insua, he was only let go last July, he did play really well last night

Ever heard of sarcasm? To the poster above

Isn't it funny that Sporting are willing to speculate a nominal amount on players that others clubs are afraid to sign? Then after a season the other clubs suddenly want to pay over the odds for them. First it ws van Wolfwinkel and now Diego Capel.

Munian had a quiet night he is still going to be one of the best footballers in the world some day capel is a good player but Munian is on another level

20 Apr 2012 09:32:53
has nico gaitan agreed a move to man utd, ed? and are alba and neymar set for barca, ed?

wafa {Ed002's Note - There is no completed deal for Gaitan. Manchester United and Barcelona both showed interest in the winger but PSG or Napoli may still be the first to eventually put an offer on the table for Gaitan. Asking price is and will be an issue. My understanding is that Manchester United and PSG did speak with Benfica in January but no bid was made. I understand that it remains the case that no firm bid has been made but Benfica are aware of sustained interest.

There is interest in Alba from Barcelona and speculation only about interest from the Manchester based clubs. Chelsea and AC Milan both made speculative enquiries about Alba before the January window. I would hazard a guess he could spend his near-term career in Spain - certainly he could well worry about the impact on his international prospects. Staying at Valencia another year is a perfectly possible outcome as is a deal to involve a Barcelona player going on loan as part of the package - perhaps Tello.

There is nothing in place to take Neymar to Barcelona, although he could well end up there.}

Sorry ed but you're wrong about neymar, guillem balague on sky sports broke the news ages ago that neymar has signed a pre contract with barca and will join after the world cup in brazil. {Ed002's Note - Balague was wrong - there is no deal.}

20 Apr 2012 09:16:40
I still don't get it Ed ? Why are we looking at players we simply can't afford, when there is plenty of talent in our lower leagues? All these players mentioned will want Champions League football, we're a million miles from that. Some of these people are living in cloud cuckooland if they think players like De Jong, Van Wolfswinkel, Muniain, Llorente and the like, will want to come here without Champs League football ? Jordan Rhodes, Gary Hooper, Matty Fryatt, Matty Tubbs. These players would walk over hot coals to play for Liverpool, not go into hiding in Jan, Feb and March because it's too cold or too wet for them. Come on KK, give these lads a go. If it doesn't work out, what have we lost? £3-4 million. That has to be better than losing £25-30 million. It's not rocket science, just good business sense. {Ed002's Note - I don't know that Liverpool are looking at players they cannot afford. As for teh lower leagues, Liverpool may look to cherry pick the best.}

Gary Hooper would be a good shout. Probably cost no more than 5m, and I'd take James Forrest from Celtic too

The only thing with lower league players is that your basically taking a cheeky punt. We have seen it in the past with Beckfird, and most notably at the minute Vaz Te, both fantastic strikers at a lower level, but not really Premiership standard where your against international Defensive Midfieldlers and Defenders every week.
It would be great if we could 'cherry pick' (fantastic way of putting it ed) from these lower leagues, they pose a cheaper risk than most but I feel they pose more of a threat to flop aswell, which we cannot afford for another season, perhaps thats why Kalou's name has been bounced around, premiership experience, scores fairly regularly, can play wide or upfront, good support play.

Anfield Andy

The problem is that if we bought players that are in form they'll be bad what they lose is where has Jordan Rhodes vanished to? Carroll was in form when we bought him he's now out of from but hopefully it will come back

Suarez signed for us without champs league football so who's to say other world class players won't?

Who is good enough to push us forward from the lower league. Please do tell

At last someone talking sense,we can not attract big name players as we have not got champions league football next year or in my option the year after.We must gamble/invest on the younger players hoping for a few carras or Steve Gs.the players bounded about on this site that were interested in are crazy.

Fryatt tubbs and hooper are u sure you not living in cuckooland these players are nowhere near the class we need to take us to champions league football . . . i hope we get soldado nd if not i think we should go for defoe

That's not sense and neither is what you've written. We are already investing in young players. There is an excellent crop of them. Do we really need to do more? What we need to do is buy a couple of decent players like Newcastle have done with Demba Ba and Cisse to put an end to the awful shot to goal ratio we have had this season to fire us into the Champions League. Had LFC had the same shot to goal ratio this season as we had last season then we would be top 4 now.

Then we can attract the big names.

Your suggestion (gamble) could take years to get Champions League football.

It seems that whenever a big names mentioned or someone with an once of knowledge thinks he knows who the players coming in will be or people thinking/or pretending to think they have contacts of who's arriving or who's going you all get the kleenex out! yet someone dare suggest realistic honest targets and hes lambasted..ffs grow up!

Not only would it take years chances are it would never happen. No point in buying players that are not good enough just because they are cheap.

I don't see lower league players as realistic targets who will get us into the Champions League. We may get lucky with one who turns out to be a great signings but there is no way that we should be taking such a gamble to get top 4.

We got Suarez without Champions League football. We got Enrique without Champions League football. Newcastle got Demba Ba without Champions League football. Good buys - not gambles.

Remind me where rush came from?

You're going back 30 years. I hope to be in the Champions League a bit sooner than that...

Fryatt and Tubbs are both closing in on 30! Rhodes and Hooper maybe but the first two, you must be kidding.

The only reason we got Suarez without champs league football was because he was damaged goods, and nobody else would interested.

First of all, what the last fella said about Suarez is complete bulls**t, and secondly, as much as I like watching the lower league players in said leagues, to sign them would to be accepting that we are no more than a mid-table club.
You've got to aim high to go far, and although talking about dream signings like Hazard and Neymar is pointless, talking about young, talented players that are playing for much less reputable clubs, playing at the same level (garenteed Europa League) is nothing to slag people off over.

I agree with anfield andy. great post good sir

20 Apr 2012 09:11:25
Good Morning Eds,

Is there any news on Mikel Zaton?

Thanks

Marc {Ed002's Note - None since yesterday.}

I like the sound of this kid, but it is very difficult to push a move through for a kid, look at Neymar, his parents stopped his move initially.

Anfield Andy {Ed002's Note - I cut the rest of the post as it was incorrect.}

20 Apr 2012 07:29:05
Ed, do you know much about this Danny Holmes (RB) and is he good enough for the prem and liverpool? {Ed002's Note - I know little of him aside from him being a RB at Tranmere.}

He is rubbish!

I played along side him for Wirral School Boys and Tranmere. He is not even tranmere standered. Sunday league at best!! Liverpool - dont waste any time on this. Flanno, Kelly

20 Apr 2012 08:34:08
Roberto Martinez's contract with wigan ends at the end of season. His own and wigan's reactions are showing that there is a very little chance he will sign another contract extenson. At his age no manager will like sit at home.This means he may be in contact with some other team . This team may be liverpool. What is your oponion eds..
Red Lover Boy

Eds is he true that roberto martinez will leave wigan and we may intrested in him.. {Ed002's Note - His contract will be up for negotiation but I don't know if Liverpool are interested or not.}

We are in two domestic cup finals and you are talking about another manager?

I don't see how he can be considered an improvement on Kenny.
CR

I thought he had a Rolling 1 Year contract? I guess that could lead to a description that he will be out of contract every year though..

35m Eriksen bid in the offing from Dalglish as he has had reccomendation from Suarez that the boy is the next big thing out of Ajax.
He will be Liverpools biggest summer move and will be followed by Soldado and De Jong with a right back also being sought.
De Jong is valued between 13-15m and if Twente wont budge other options will be explored, possibly Sturridge.

Eriksen, Soldado and De jong.

I'd be very happy with that - not holding too much hope though.

Rubbish! Eriksen isn't worth 35M, dude. 20M max.

Pretty sure a RW will be a priority dude

Opening post pure guesswork

I wish. Eriksen is phenomenal but we would need to raise some of the funds through sales and he is high in demand. Although we can always hope, we did sign players like Torres, Suarez, Mascherano etc. at one point

Not a chance in hell in getting Eriksen as if he was up for sale bigger and better teams than Liverpool would be interested.

If we haven't bought Henderson and Adam, 35M for Eriksen is perfectly making sense... So, obviously, NO Eriksen this summer!! Of course, if we all playing FM now, it makes perfect sense!! Trade Kuyt, Adam and Henderson to Ajax for him. LOL

Yes please

Why will a rb be a priority?!,you all sound like Johnson has gone,and Kelly aint up to it,when he obviously is the next england rb !!

Eds,modric was unsettled at tot.....any chance we would go for him or is he too expensive for us?? {Ed002's Note - Modric will not be moving to Liverpool.}

Because liverpool are not a big club anymore , when we buy average players that have no quality what do you expect from liverpool , as the ed's say players like modric , cavani , ozil , kaka , hazard etc would not be joining liverpool !!

Why would we pay £40million for a player who plays centre midfield and has stats that are worse than charlie adam's this season and last!

eds is there intrest in dempsey {Ed002's Note - Should Dempsey come up for sale there will certainly be interest from Spurs and a couple of German sides, plus possibly Arsenal.}

Dempsey would be a good buy at £12M but I get a feeling he will remain in cockney paddocks !

Inter Milan, Roma, Feyenoord, Hamburg and Fulham all interested in a cut price deal for Dirk Kuyt. Liverpool lined up goalscoring midfielders Clint Dempsey, Junior Hoilet and Victor Moses as possible replacements for the Dutchman. Liverpool have also enquired about Iker Munain but were put off by his £30mil valuation, which would take up over half the summer transfer funds. Royston Drenthe will join Newcastle and not Liverpool as reported in various news outlets.

The Chief...

ed do you think andy caroll will be sold in summer i think they should get rid of him and buy a proven goal scorer also downing henderson and kuyt should be sold what positions do you think we need cover in cheers {Ed001's Note - we don't need cover, we need players to improve the team. I doubt Carroll will go this summer myself, unless someone is willing to pay a decent price for him.}

I don't see how people think Carroll will be going, we'll hardly have people queueing round the block for him will we? His wages aren't astronomical and he's only young, i say we stick with him for a while.

A.) Henderson and Carroll's market value is terrible. No chairman unless insane and in danger of being sectioned, would cut a check for £20 million for Carroll, or £15 million for Henderson.

B.) Even if one did, Liverpool would probably go in for someone young like James McCarthy to replace Henderson for roughly the same price we gave Sunderland and then McCarthy would take a year to adapt to the team.

C.) Then there would be annoying people calling for the player's head on a plate and that someone else is the messiah to change Liverpool's fortunes;... for a year.

Henderson and Adam are both squad players. if it wasnt for the injuries they wouldnt play. I remember everyone moaning about how many centre mids we have. Imagine if we didnt have that many right now we'd be playing connor coady most likely. Henderson is for the future

I doubt we'd be playing coady he's poor and touches the ball less times than andy Carroll, if he wasn't scouse he wouldn't still be at our academy

Hard to believe some peoples thinking. Andy has just started to produce and now you want to sell him, crazy,won't happe. Henderson has been very under rated by fans, he works hard and is quick and skilful,I believe he will be a top quality player in the near future. Kuyt I agree it is time to say thank you but move him on.
I have been a bit disappointed with Downing ( never have rated him to be honest) but his form does seem to have picked up a little recently.
How can you consider Henderson should go but not mention Adam?
