Hi Ed, I heard it from a very good source that Konoplyanka and Ings are both due on Merseyside tomorrow for medicals after fees were agreed this evening with their clubs! Lambert and Ballotelli are both expected to leave on loan deals also! WBA have also bid 8.5m for Allen which Liverpool are considering!

I've heard rumour that Liverpool may be willing to loan Lambert to Burnley in order to buy Danny Ings. Is this utter b******* or could there be some truth to this?

Admittedly so, but when you said Lambert may be going on loan it was hard not to put 2 and 2 together. It would make sense if our interest in Danny Ings is genuine.

I really don't get loaning our Lambert, I'd rather loan out Balotelli who is no doubt on more money and doesn't offer us anything on the pitch.

What was the point of buying him in the summer if we're just going to loan him out?

I did post that question a few days ago but it never showed on the site. would you know for what position they might be looking at him for? and what are your thoughts on him as part of the assumed new structure going foward?

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool has been reworking the scouting system since the summer. In South America Liverpool were given great advice and leads but chose to ignore it. They need to look to younger players and have certainly been looking to focus in the Far East. I really have no idea about a role he might take on.}
