do you think liverpool will buy (world class) players in the summer i am so dissapointed with no one signing {Ed002's Note - Summer is a long way off right now.}

Ffs february the 1st and you want to know who we're gonna sign in the summer!

Well if they dont then questions would have to asked ,I don`t mind that they didn`t buy in jan but i would like them to buy one really well known (or proven player if thats possible to do lol)rather than 3 or 4 lets take a chance on these guys.Young talent like they said they would buy.
Well done to Andy last night wait and see his gonna be good.

Nobody 'world class' will come to Liverpool just to play in the Europa league, if we get champions league next year than maybe yes

Saurz came with no cahmpions league would you say he wasn;t world calss sure players will come if they can see the club is going places what player wouldn't want to be involved and if they cant see where going places then i dont think there the player for us

Is it true that Rafa was once offered Gareth Bale for 4million and bought Dossena instead for 6.5?

Bale signed for Spurs in 2007 Dossena signed for us in 2008

Plus you've got to remember that Bale was nothing special when he left Southampton, just a LB prospect, not a world class LW prospect.

I rated Bale since the first time i saw him play for Spurs that was in 2008 or 2009 can't remember, but boy could and can that guy play!

None of us saw him getting this good, Bale was a sturdy LB, not fantastic but always had the pace.
He was even struggling to get a regular starting spot for Tottenham then he gets played at LW and destroys the league.
We did not forsee him getting this good, nor did any of the top managers, sometimes it happens, players abilities just jump, like a growth spurt.

Arry tried to off load Bale before stumbling upon playing him as a left midfielder!! the rest we all know. p.s. we were one of the clubs about to take him on loan from spurs!

Were we not in for him before Tottenham's injury crisis a few seasons back forced them to use him on the left wing? Rafa's last season?

I remember rafa makin a bid 4 him after selling alonso, rafa made 12millns 4 bale and 8millns 4 showcross, untill hicklett desided 2 put that money on to their pocket, that wouldve make a hughe difference

Bale was nothing special in 2007/08 as he was still young and developing . however anyone with a clue about football could see there was talent there

I was always told Bale was going to be really good because a mate of mine (Ryan Doble) played with back at Southampton and always said there was something special about him!

If you remember bale was actually poor for spurs to start with and I seem to remember he had a reputation for about a year that they never won when he played

Rafa tried to sign him but was priced out by spurs.

Rafa was priced out, as he was with a lot of players he was after just look at the man city team all Rafa targets. I live down on the south coast now and Bale was special with Southampton, he would be there main attacking threat then. In all honesty Commolli has always spent big on his youngsters and so called finds and he has continued that with us. he is not going to find us bargains.

Bale was special years ago...everything Saints did, went through their left back. If the RW was attacking, they would literally aim to get the ball back to Bale to start the attack. All dead balls etc....

Rafa wanted Bale, but :
1- He was n't given the money
2- Bale did n't want to come to us and said a lot of horrible things about our club.

We had bale lined up in the same transfer window as well as shawcross, Jovetic, villa and silva
But then the credit crunch came and the rest is history :(

Vaagan Moen is a good player that could make it in a championship team. He is Nowhere a Premier League team. He is a great player in the Norwegian league, that tells me alot of the quality of the Norwegian league.

Well, is there any interest for doni from brazil? If nordfeldt signs, our goalkeeper roster considering both jones and doni leave will be: Reina, Nordfeldt, Gulacsi, Belford, Ward.

Who is better according to you eds, Gulacsi or Nordfeldt? {Ed002's Note - Doni is expected to move to Sao Paulo. I acnnot say who is better of the listed players.}

What happened with Doni ed? Is he homesick or just failed to settle in England? {Ed002's Note - I suspect he would like more playing time and to return home now he is getting older.}

Hi eds, do you believe that kristoffer nordfeldt will sign? With doni and jones already present, why do you think we need this swede? {Ed002's Note - If he signs it will be to replace one of the others. Jones was expected to leave for personal reasons and Doni of course wishes to return to Brazil. I expect Nordfeldt will sign in the coming days.}

If you believe his Wiki site (yes I know), but we made an announcement on the 2nd Feb 2012, that he signed a 5 year deal! It's only the 1st today, so have LFC announced it in Australia in the past few hours?

Did one of the eds say that de Jong was more likely in the summer weeks ago? Looks a good prospect alright. Think we will buy another striker in the summer but if Andy keeps improving someone of de jongs age would be ideal and let him develop further with us. If Andy struggles think it'll have to be mors high profile than de Jong! ( in Andy I trust tho)

Hey Ed's I just want to apologise if I got anybodys hopes up spotting McGeady. The only thing I can put it down to is he went to see the Everton VS City match.

Now that the transfer window is closed is there any possibility that we could loan a player? or am I wrong in thinking you can still loan players for another few weeks?

Ive watched this lad play once and he has talent , it was in the next gen games the reserves are playing , evrything went through him . they have 2 other plyers that we should get aswell , a striker who scored with an over head kick , supplied by texeiara and the lad who volleyed over te keeper with a lob , th game was at sportngs home

He was asked to come back for another trial in February a month before his 18th birthday.

Portuguese youngster joins Academy

Joao Carlos Teixeira will join Liverpool's Academy after the formalities of his transfer from Sporting Lisbon were completed.

The 19-year-old Portuguese youth international played and scored against the Reds earlier this season at Anfield in the NexGen series.

French reporter yesterday stated that Hazard will be moving to the prem in the Summer. When asked about Chelsea, He gave a big thumbs down as Hazard stated he wants to go to a club with history, And LFC Has great history. So i Guess theres a chance, Fingers crossed...TJ.

There was strong interest from Sao Paulo and Villarreal are in a poor financial situation so it makes sense on those grounds. He's also known to be a good friend of Lucas, however he did make it quite clear that he wanted to go back to Brazil. It seems crazy but at the same time I have no reason to denounce you. Did a little digging through some of the Brazilian media. Apparently Villarreal accepted a bid from Sao Paulo, but Nilmar would not accept the package offered by Sao Paulo. Also, there was something to do with the agent's demands which I couldn't really make out after site translation. It seems as though the two parties tried to reach a conclusion up to the close of the European window, but could not come to an agreement.

There's PLENTY of football to be played in between now and then, being played by our current squad of dedicated players. Who CARES who we're bringing in... start supporting the players that we've got! There's FIFTEEN league games left and we're only 4 points adrift of a lacklustre Chelsea...

Won't make champions league? Won't be to sure about that. 4 points behind chelsea with at least 14 games left.

And don't forget Chelsea (who we've already beat twice this season) have to come to Anfield. If we win that one then it's only 1 or 2 points that we have to catch up.
